New Maine Senate Candidate's Family Tree Ignites Controversy

Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they look at reports that Maine's new U.S. candidate has a family tree that doesn't fork much, Darline Graham's vague new campaign ad, the Democrats shoving Mandela Barnes out of the Wisconsin governor's race, and the start of NFL training camp.

First, they wince as new reports reveal the Maine Democrats' new U.S. Senate nominee is in a long-term relationship with his second cousin and they have two kids together. They also look at a new ad tying Jackson to disgraced former nominee Graham Platner.

Next, they examine Sen. Darline Graham's first campaign ad as she runs for a six-year term. While not a bad start, it's still far too vague on key issues like abortion and immigration. They also scratch their heads as the state party schedules a debate for a possible runoff but not the primary itself.

Then, they weigh in on former Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes dropping out of the Democratic primary for governor as reports about his behavior towards young women in the party were set to come out. So far, the allegations are vague. Is this another example of the Dems nixing another one of their own candidates this cycle?

Finally, Jim and Greg cleanse the palate by noting the start of NFL training camp.
