I show joining in my co host Adam Rosabird And we're here to break down some spreads actually that have a different I'd say format because we have of course our Circa million picks we're going to be competing with the mothership show Which would be pretty fun as a separate side bet but we're officially a team and we're gonna try to make some money in Circa million but of course if you don't know the actual game the point is you have to take five spreads every single week in the NFL And you're in a leaderboard and you have to try to finish in a certain position to win et cetera Should be fun looking forward to an entire season of it

1:00But we decided to milk it for content as well So we're gonna be doing an episode every week of force spread to the NFL Adam as we go with you. What's up? It's good and this is my Like fifth time doing it. So It's exhausting You get the bicker if you're on the team which we've already done We pick her that much that's a week long. Well, we we pick her to about like can I why don't I just read them off cuz like you don't have a thing but Yeah, it gets you know, we're gonna kind of figure out how this format stuff will work I These are I guess like we also So like people are probably asked questions like do you actually like bet these plays I personally On most of them like sometimes up to all of them, but most of my Contest plays I'll bet too. So now you get to weeks where it's just like I just have to do this and I don't want to do this But like I have to A lot of those end up involving like the Browns for weird reasons

2:02I'm bad teams that are getting maybe Yeah, but generally speaking like 99 times out of 100 Yeah, I'm gonna have in pocket for some of the stuff or I already do so We're gonna you know, we'll experiment with formats and things here You know, we'll try to fight where we can to make it interesting and Yeah, that's about that's pretty much it man. I got I got some I got our plays up in front and we can We can kind of do however you want to do it. You want to dive in or what do you want to do? Well, I know you what you want to start this how like you know, we're new to it So I figured I would just introduce the game and then we could just discuss you know who are taking pros and like pros and cons stuff like that just basic breakdown stuff Yeah, I mean Sure, yeah, I mean we don't really have to fully Like it doesn't have to like we don't even yeah, I think it's just I think yeah, no, no, let's just see It's a jump right in jump right into the first game that we picked yeah Before getting to the actual games that are minor to check out once again the free-refootball contest Which is back pick every game at the S for a chance to win up to $4,000 and or today at sports

We're still doing four Columbia going to help out the college going to sports Compacts comms lunch relief to help out today so moving on by into the actual spreads for week one We did discuss this so this isn't going to be the usual format of Adam gives out one then I'll give out one We rotate instead we did have a consensus agreement on these five plays We're still going to alternate just the actual I'd say breakdown but the point is we did Coordinate these five plays together because we're a team so keep that in mind now moving on to the first game They were gonna talk about you have the Ravens who are taking on the Colts Colts bit of an interesting season last year They were on the verge of an division easily Daniel Jones broke his leg and they meet a little as a kill is yeah Sorry, the tour is a kill is the point is he only had one leg basically and they fell apart So now he's oh it's that you're not wrong though He played with a fractured tibula and then he tore his Achilles. Yeah, so he played through a pretty serious injury

4:10And then of course hurt something else in extreme fashion But he's back for week one for this one though the Ravens are favored on the road and if you want to mention totals as well 47 and a half we're not gonna talk about totals on the show though, but the Colts are getting three and a half at home What are your thoughts or what are our thoughts on this game? I feel like the public's gonna be mainly on Baltimore correct would you agree with that assessment? I'm sure that they will I mean whether the road favorite, but I'm sure that they will You know, I haven't looked at the splits. I probably I usually don't look at splits till Thursdays It's a little early in the week first floor. Literally in the week public doesn't bet on Wednesdays, you know This was the first bet that I made this was what the second bet that I made all summer Early I bet this in First week of August and I immediately texted you and Kramer and Sean and CJ and I said this is a hammer spot for me Called supposed three and a half man Jesse like I don't care what team you are But Jesse mentor is making his debut as a head coach and he is a favorite on the road those

5:16Those coaches they are oh and four actually sent all these notes to Sean on who those four are but Rookie at coaches week one on the road overall from 2002 to 2020 1424 straight up 22 and 14 and two ATS so a lot of them were all dogs 2021 to 2025 4 and 7 straight up 5 and 6 ATS so it even doubt Combined obviously 1831 straight up since 02 so it's flattened out but the key thing here is that They are oh and four straight up oh and four obviously ATS since 2017 when they are road favorite and it's a coach making his debut for the team Dave you for the team in week one Ravel lost as of my minus one favorite against Miami and Tennessee Fangio lost as Denver was minus three favorite at at Oakland Urban Meyer was a minus three now. I don't think he won a game I feel like minus three and a half with at Houston and

6:16Nathaniel Hackett minus Denver was a seven point favorite against Seattle all of them lost I Don't like this. I was a field game where they drained the entire clock and missed the 50 like six yarder at the buzzer I don't I don't know but I think that was among the night game where they completely just butchered the clock at the end But either way, sorry, I don't know but um and by the way Antonio Pierce also lost in his first game. He was a favorite when he was raiders coach But that was been seasoned There's a there's a billion reasons why I don't want the Ravens right here. I already aren't I'm already not super high on the Ravens as it is Derek Henry a lot of guys are another year older But give me um get give me the cults here Daniel Jones in I still love Jonathan Taylor. I love this offensive line. I like this squad man It's Shane Stuykin just kind of knows what he's dealing man This is like this is the back against the wall last season of a Shane Stuykin Colts getting more than a key number at home

7:16Give it to me week one Colts was three and a half Yeah, I mean the argument of course for Ravens backers gonna be well look at the roster like Baltimore Still really talented except we've seen this roster under achieve for the last basically decade with Harbaugh Harba's not there anymore they could argue in the long term It was a move that had to be made but do we think minters gonna immediately hit the ground running with this team? Probably not like the fact is the Colts I think are undervalued because you'll get the record last year and go Oh, you know this team was average actually they weren't because they were gonna cruise through division title and then Daniel Jones got injured So I do think in general Stuykin did a pretty good job with this team last year before they lost their only good quarterback on the entire roster Basically, but Daniel Jones a great Taylor still one of the best running backs in the league and the Colts at home were dangerous So I can definitely get behind it, but three and a half as you said before key number fading Baltimore on the road with a brand new coach I do think it's pretty appealing and also if you want to be contrarian I do think the public will mainly be on Baltimore. Yeah, it's also really important as you approach sides and totals that key numbers are a big deal here

8:21Key numbers and dead numbers are gonna be here about a dead number later on in one of these Just from because we're probably gonna give you like some betting advice as we talk through these Yeah, that's that's about it Yeah, give me that give me that cold Salas and just to be clear as a reminder for the dead number we can at least introduce that concept So we get there we'll get there because we have an example. There's a good example. Yeah, yeah It's easier to do it then so yeah, so first place gonna be the Colts plus five plus a three and a half the second player We're gonna go with first of all congratulations to I'm gonna save a couple for you though because I know that you're passionate about a few employees, but I'm going to look at the new contract by Baker Mayfields Congratulations to Baker who got paid the chip on the shoulder Arguments about him playing a full season trying to get some money are officially dead because he got paid good for him The problem is top bull stole the head coach They basically ran back everything from last year which did not work at all because Carolina of all teams won that division and

9:23Yet shout out us. Yes, shout out us who got we did that out multiple times on the prop cast early in the season Correct, but the point is we think Tampa is an incredibly average football team The fact is the NFC South is not really any good. It's why you've seen a lot of people picking either the Saints to In the vision or the Panthers the point is the all the division I'd say teams have flaws in there and they're traveling to Cincinnati The fact is is Cincinnati a great team? No, but a lot of the issues they run into every year or is burrow is health and He's healthy because it's week one so I do like the actual spot for Cincinnati in this one You're looking at Tampa and they basically have the same team I mean Mike Evans those gone. I mean that's a big piece guy average basically over a thousand yards from entire career at this point He's not available. He went to the Niners, but you're looking at the actual Tampa team And I guess I'm going to ask you did they really upgrade anything over the offseason because they look like they're the exact same team

10:24And I'm not sure that's a good thing because they've kind of plateaued as an overall franchise And you're looking at Cincinnati and the fact is third home which definitely helps you're looking at all the weapons They have with Higgins with Chase etc And we know burrow when healthy is easily a top five quarterback in the league So three and a half definitely is a pretty low number here the defense is a question mark Of course, they lost their best past Russia, but overall we like the spot for Cincinnati We think that Tampa's being a little bit. I'd say overpriced based on what they've been in years past But as you said before everyone's a year older and overall the team was incredibly mid-last year So we're gonna go Cincinnati months three and a half Cool, yeah, I mean best look Type version of that is best version of Cincinnati is everybody on the field Dexter alarm the the biggest thing that they need to fix last year was their defense Dexter Lawrence and they've added guys who I think are good and also

11:26Has him talked out enough, but they're returning everybody from their offensive line from last year offensive lines get better with reps And Having the exact same guys that they had last year that are able to get reps together that is going to improve things Yeah, I think that I'm not high on Tampa this year and Buka's also heard a lot of guys are already banged up Yeah, even veins banged up so he's gonna play in this game was likely but even he got in we know Baker We'll get banged up. That's just what happens But I know worst worst had some injuries during a mini camp in preseason But in Buka being in Buka having a toe issue is not a good thing on that team. So Yeah, so You know, I don't need to double down on it, but yeah We're I'm fine with laying over laying over laying the three and a half with with the bangles at home Well, get the end of the day. We think it'll be a pretty high scoring game if you want to get total 50 and a half Yeah, if you want to get yourself into a shootout with Joe burrow, Jammart Chase and T Higgins have fun That's kind of our thoughts like we think since an ad he's gonna move the ball at home. 14:30Panthers land through panthers getting three points at home To the Chicago Bears. I think the Bears are one of the more hyped teams from the offseason everyone expecting them to take a leap forward When you actually dove into the deep metrics with this team though. They were just a third and fourth quarter merchant I was gonna say they were like just an incredible comeback team who would no show the first like yeah Yeah, they also lost three there last four at its closest season just a not including regular season They they people forget they lost to that Detroit game people get that a miraculous comeback against the packers So everything was right. We should have lost that game too. Yeah, so my uh, but my point is uh This is just like a lot of like and this happens a lot on these on these in this contest There's a lot of gambling radar here. You have a you have a team that people are Not have not look no like no one's very high on breast young They've never been high on breast young. He didn't get an extension. He's in his fifth year option. He's in his play at deal year um and this team is only getting Is a and the Bears are only laying three as a road favorite here

15:30Bears are banged up completely like their secondaries already been decimated got multiple guys that are out for the season Rome is hurt Dunesay so uh and also a burden had been hurt earlier in the preseason But a dunesay is a didn't practice yesterday down during swift has a core injury I this to me is is so is is one of those games it also by the way 90% of the public is is on Is on the bears bent fox put that out the other day, but yeah, this is uh this is this is a panther screamer for me I'll be on pathers first first half money line in a parlay with a couple other teams One of which we'll mention But uh yeah, give me uh give me panthers plus three and a half. I love it Also Carolina not an easy place to play they were much better at home um They uh like they were also eight of Caroline is 18 games last season decided by exactly three points They were 97 and two at plus three um and as a dog that beat their closing number most of the time here

16:32Which is something that you want to constantly be able to do But again, an 11 win team that nearly reached the NFC title Is only laying a fuel going the road is kind of the tell for me so we're all I'm all over the panthers here Yeah, this is definitely going to be a pros versus Joe's spot as far as work concerns so to speak The public will be on Chicago The fact is they were a very good team last year They made the playoffs and wino kale Williams is being hyped up to potentially lead Chicago to I don't want to say a super role But to another very solid double digit win season Carolina people can argue were the lucky team last year that just won a really crappy division Props to Carolina though forgetting the job done, but I guess the question I feel like that we were asking which is why we're going Carolina Why is this spread not higher because with all of the hype surrounding Chicago and with all of the Potential flukiness surrounding Carolina's run last year You figured to probably be like around four four and a half for Chicago And it's only three and not to mention all the injuries which of course you talked about and we think that especially for a home team

17:36Carolina was good at home last year and Chicago is pretty I'd say fortunate to win a bunch of games and come back fashion But we think Carolina should do a good job of keeping that time control off and some of the old and we think kale Williams might make some mistakes, but you're looking at Carolina though at home. It was pretty good last year But I think we're just agreeing on this one. It's mainly kind of a Why is this line located where it is and we're gonna trust the potential shady overall line spot. So we're gonna go with Carolina. Is that a fair assessment? Yeah Cool, I'm moving on to our fourth spread for week one. We're gonna take a favorite in this one We did end up with a balance of favorites and dogs. We're gonna go to the NFC East and we're gonna back the Eagles Minus four and a half as they are taking on the commanders now I understand it's a division rivalry game. Well, who really cares doesn't really matter But if you listen to the prop cast when we did our season long episode

18:37I'd say about a couple weeks ago from circa We hate this commander's team We think this commander's team is garbage and we think this team's gonna be really really bad Well, the Eagles be really good I think they'll be fine But the point is we think the commanders have a chance to go on five at 12 to one separate point there But we think based on all the actual reports based on how they looked in preseason and how they have been Talked about by even local reporters who support the team Everyone thinks this team's awful. They think the offense is I've read the term on what was the term again? It wasn't on fixed in operable in operable Which is not what you want to hear when you're about two weeks out from the start of the season give or take So the point is we think the commanders after struggling last year We think that's the norm within the NFC title game appearance was the fluke out of nowhere I'd say running with Daniels Daniels fell back down to earth and you're looking at the rest of the actual roster

19:37The running backs are definitely not ideal with this team as well a lot of problems not many solutions The Eagles will look at the end of the day they'll all stage a brown they traded them away Definitely going to hurt the offense the defense is still very solid You still have a good offensive line and the fact is you're looking at the commanders who we think are going to be a bottom of the barrel Team in the league we think they're going to be easily a last place team in the NFC's So we're going to fade a really bad team. We're going to take the Eagles minus the 4.5 Yeah So this goes to the conversation about dead numbers 4.5 those are That you start getting a dead number territory and dead number means It's really infrequent that the game lands on those numbers you need like weird stuff like Miss two point conversions or a mist extra points stuff like that like so like You know games don't usually end on a five point margin they end on a six or three or four like these are all key numbers In theory if the line is a moving up or down you should still win the play anyway Right, so my but my point is I so I think this is an Eagles smash spot at home

20:42I just the the rosters better than theirs and their defense should be What especially with tons of out for basically the season should should put jaden Daniels in hell uh I don't I don't like to watch into the running backs. I've discussed this a lot I don't need to tell everybody about how much I'm down on the commanders I took the eight and a half minus eight and a half. I think he was when this by It was actually the best value on an alt six and a half was even money eight nine and a half was only plus one eighty eight but six and eight and a half was plus one seventy six so I was only giving up 15 cents For them to win by what I think is going to be ten points I think it's thirty one seven is absolutely in the question Nice day nice weather at the link opener new offense I will say you know both teams first-time play callers with new offensive corners David Blaul Yeah, so um, I don't know man if I was uh look if I if I was Dan Quinn I was trying to save my job having a first time he has a keep money. Yeah, they uh commanders have a first-time play collar on defense as well

21:44So um Yeah, anyway, uh, this is this wasn't easy one for me Eagles I don't care what the number is on laying it, but I went with an alt Because I just uh, I think that the Eagles when this and I The four and a half to dead number but for contest purposes will be laying the four and a half Yeah, but either way we think the commanders stink I think this was probably the first play that we added to our card because we knew going in like we were not going to back to commanders That was not gonna happen But yeah, we'll go with the Eagles at home a minus the four and a half You're mentioning dead numbers. They do want to touch on stale numbers because Our mind or it's only Wednesday and I'm sure some of you are procrastinating waiting to bet on NFL spreads Over the weekend First of all do not do that if you like a play you might see some line movement Or like you want to make sure you get a number that's available However, I got to mention stale numbers because this is a contest If the line moves heavily one way or another Our line does not automatically shift to the most current line Whatever lines pop up on circa for this contest are the lines that we are stuck on for the actual week

22:50So if for example the Eagles when for minus four and a half to minus seven and a half It's not gonna have him to hear me out You're stuck at the four and a half So keep that in mind like this spreads in this contest do not move They are not fluid Whatever appears are the official lines for the contest So I wanted to mention that so there will be stale numbers over the course of the week with this contest Keep that in mind But that's why we're also doing it Wednesday because the lines are most up to date on Wednesday And and guys this is uh it's important because like you should be taking away from this show This isn't like the game pick show you should be taking this and be using this for contest that you're doing whether it's with Other platforms that do weekly pick-ums and stuff like that There's a moment where they're going to lock those uh lines They usually do it on a Wednesday or Thursday and you kind of get them for the week And that's what they're gonna be because they don't move lines in a pick-um contest So you get that that's how we're approaching this this is not the same as hey Here's the games and just what we're doing this is we're talking you guys through simply through the lens of

23:54Here is what we are doing for contest and how we suggest that you might want to do them if you want to do that So yeah, but for this one um uh Yeah, Eagles run it away So yeah pretty much uh, but we have one play left and as you mentioned, it's about our strategy for circa Yeah, we didn't exactly pick the prettiest game For our fifth spread But i'm gonna let you take the lead uh definitely the game everyone wants to talk about Jets versus titans So i'll let you go first uh What was your stance and what was your logic behind taking this game over all the other games? so um You know as you get later the thing with with the pick-up with a pick-um contest is eventually you start to get to a point where You have to pick certain games to maybe make up ground We're not doing that early, but there's a balance between Taking games that you feel confident about and also games that you don't necessarily think everybody's going to be on I don't know a ton of people that are gonna be on the Jets and Titans game

24:55It's not a really ugly game and i love the Jets here Scott's talked about this for the last month How down he is on the Titans. I am as well. I Look, I don't think that the Jets are world beaters But i'd like that i would take their roster. I take their quarterback I would take their skill players over pretty much everybody who's on the Titans And i say this is someone who has cam ward both to lead in the interceptions and also netthir 25 touch That was that was my best bet for the seasonal and prop shows the titans under six and half wins. So um Yeah, it just um, you know I think that there's gonna be a lot of Solofan fair because he is making his coaching debut for the titans game right in a revenge game He wasn't very good as the Jets coach and it wasn't um and You know, I don't know how we also got to see him and dable coexist Both of them have been head coaches before Dable clearly is there to like do that as a stop to become a coach again Um, I'm really curious how that's gonna work. I like also on the other side I will be completely upfront. I think frank rike is one of the worst coaches of all time

25:59And i think that Aaron Glenn bringing him on as an oc Is not going to work well Again, though. I still think the Jets have a better defense. I think they have better skill players I think that um them getting points on the road. I will still take it These teams if you even want to say are a little bit even in terms of the the baseman I still would put the Jets a little bit ahead of them and you're getting points of them. Give me the Jets plus one and a half That is our that's our final play on here So I mean the tentacies just debuted a jbuing way too many things that once for this Yeah, it's definitely an ugly game Also once again contest logic get creative because if you're the if you're one of the only entries that have the Jets And then the winning then you gain some potential, you know opportunities against the opposition So going a bit bolder does make sense in some spots. I'm very anti-tenancy. I think both teams are gonna are gonna be bad this season The Jets and Preseason actually looked okay But the point is I do think that jino smith even though we know that he was not very good with the Raiders last year The do we think cam ward is actually good

27:01Like I still didn't the juries out on that and the offensive line should be arguably I don't know if it's arguable the worst unit in the entire leak But that offensive line was so bad last year that it basically none of Anything to fix it they ended up extending like what guy or two, but the offensive line is awful And you know what the Jets in general are a team that are not good But I do think for the sake of the town as we talked about earlier Their roster I do think is better than this team I think you're looking at the Titans who are lying on carnal tape. They're rookie They have a pretty big role with this team one of robinson just joined the roster I do think that the Titans and the Jets kind of an early season tankful Should be a close game But based on the number I get that they're at home But the times I don't know if they should be favored against really anybody like the Jets aren't supposed to be a good team But at the same point I think the Titans are easily a last place team in their division And if the Titans end up winning we'll see what happens, but

28:02Do we think Sella is a very good coach? No a lot of it cancels out But I do think the Titans in general are a team that are worth fading And for some reason are kind of being overvalued at a six and a half win total And we think this team is awful They want they won five games or six games over the rest part of that part of that there and arguably like not a great division Their schedule's not their schedule's not I would counter that because I think their provisions actually pretty good The other three teams at least but The point is they're easily the worst team in there, but they've won six. I still think the fc south is a Bottom three division. Yeah, bottom three division fine. They're not the NFC south. So it could be worse But they're they're not there. Yeah, I mean the six and a half I mean I Well, I mean their wind total I wouldn't I wouldn't make it four and a half No, that's my point though. They're one thousand six and a half But they've won exactly six games over the last two seasons combined like they don't win many games We'll go with the jets here as our kind of our niche pick because we think it'll be a bit of a sleeper option

29:02In this contest But to once again recap the Plays once again. We have the Colts plus five. We have the Colts plus three and a half Panthers plus three Bangles minus three and a half jets plus one to half and eagles minus four and a half So that's gonna wrap it up for our five spread picks We know a lot. Well, we'll do a best bet and I actually thought we're doing an on-rogu entry I know you said that we found some team stuff For the Wednesday game in the last underdog we had the race to Uh, and uh, peace in the entry do you know if the sunday stuffs open for that yet? I didn't see I didn't see all of it um But uh, we'll go bypass the underdog part but like if they have we bypass the underdog part maybe like we figure out maybe it's um You know parlaying some stuff or do you want to just say screw it and do a baseball entry for Wednesday? No, I haven't looked at any baseball stuff. Okay, that's fine. So either way I do if you want I think we'll disclose it and you can go map because you're more ad read uh, but well after that

Why don't we pick three aspects of the game three three Either money lines or first half money lines or whatever or money lines. You want to like do a parlay? Let's do three. Let's do a three-legged parlay. Okay. Well deviate. Well deviate from some of the stuff that we already Know what you're dab. Okay. What's your favorite put what's your favorite play on on one of the games? I have one and then you have one and then well.
