• President-elect Donald Trump was named Time's Person of the Year on Thursday.
• Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signaled willingness to work with Donald Trump in an interview this week, saying the president-elect clearly cared about her state.
• Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa. became the first Democratic U.S. senator to post on Trump’s platform, "Truth Social." The lawmaker’s first post read, "My first truth. The Trump hush money and Hunter Biden cases were both bulls---, and pardons are appropriate. Weaponizing the judiciary for blatant, partisan gain diminishes the collective faith in our institutions and sows further division."
