And you're getting family today is what you're getting in all honesty. We're getting a member of the PBN family and someone who has become a member of my own family fundamentally. We got Jordan from Phoenix Survival with us today. We're talking fibers for survival amongst other things. What I want you guys to do for me today. Okay. I'm bringing you 30 days of incredible guests. I need you to do me a favor, particularly if you're at Instagram. There's a link right there. I want you to follow the Phoenix. Okay. Follow the Phoenix. Instagram has recently changed its live policy bump the requirement to do these lives on Instagram up to a thousand people.
And we need to get her up to a thousand. So I need your help to get her up to a thousand. If you're tuning in, stopping in, Cosmo, how you doing? Tell your family, tell your friends, follow the Phoenix. So use the link down there guys. Give her some follows. That's what we need from you today. Okay. I don't think we asked much. But this is what I'm asking you. All right. Let's bring her on. The one and only Jordan. Good morning on the porch. Live in good morning. Yes. And it's actually nice out this one. Not too bad. Not too hot and muggy. It was yesterday. It's crazy and richman this week. It's like mid August all over. I'm richman. Oh, perfect timing. Perfect timing to rooster. So yeah, he's you're getting here him a lot. If it's too love, let me know. But no, it's perfect. And then he's going to get competition with the other three. Because there's two of them. I have to call and that's one of my young ones who's staying and he will get them all into a crow and TV.
I don't go. It's fine. Adds authenticity to your whole story, I think. Don't you think? I think so. I like the fact that I, you know what? I had this regardless of what's that. And I was in. So it's kind of feels like just a part of me. I didn't matter if I was 400 acres or a boot or in this city of Myrtle Beach or even now here in my private little slice of heaven. It just. It feels like the one constant. Your journey. I always explain to people is like, you know, there's just no excuse and no reason for people not to get prepared. Because I've watched Jordan do it across every environment of person could do it in multiple states, locations, you know. Sorry, I'm helping a boot. I hear the little guy down there.
I'm going to get one boot, but he's happy you've got one. Is it daddy's boot or is it his boot? It did boot. Oh, that's good. Hey, before you know it, you might need those boots. We actually, so I'm not a big name brand or expensive brand kind of person. I don't pay full price if I can help it. Hello. And we actually found muck boots in his life. Yeah, and that were half off because who wants to pay $60 for a pair of muck boot for a year. Right. And so we have gotten more than a year's wear out of it. And those boots have been a blessing in the setting with the mud, the rain, the poop, you know, the chicken poof and birds and ducks. And so it's been a blessing out here for him to have a good pair of muck boots. Good pair of pair of boots is an unbeatable thing. No doubt about it. No doubt about it. Another tech style, Jay Fur, that is important is hats.
Right. As the weather breaks the weather, cool as I can help but think about breaking the birds out for the cold weather. The fact that it's held up. Oh, yeah. I mean, it speaks for itself, right? Maybe you should tell everyone about what you create with your skill set. So I am a fiber enthusiast as well as a host here on PDN. And when I say fiber enthusiast, I mean to an absurd level, I spin my own wool, I crochet, I'm a novice knitter. So I haven't I haven't picked up knit and then I've quite a lot of wool. And I will weave some, but my big thing is making usable items that are, I typically prefer making things that are multifunctional when I'm out. So as James said, the furg is a cat messy bun hat, a gator, a face mask, whatever, what have you because I wanted that.
That was probably one of my first personal press and made patterns I ever did that I've had. And you know, I modified later and refined it. God, I did that pattern what 10 years ago. Was it before COVID? It was. It was before COVID. It was like 2019. Yeah, you're right. Maybe, yeah, maybe even before maybe before then 2018. I feel like it was right around the time I got the fishing gators. And remember that time those like weird gators were coming out with different. Yeah, they have the patterns and then yeah, I feel like right around that time they prefer to emerge. And it's part of my seasonality now. It's a seasonal thing. Yeah, the fact that yours is held up to a dog attack. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. The wool one. Yep. Yeah. That one is amazing too. There's a spider web. But you have a knack Jordan for you would definitely have a knack for making fiber accessible.
Making making the prospect of making your own fiber and turning it into things accessible. I think you do that better than the one I've ever seen. I do well, I do travel and teach utilizing fiber for homestead and insurvival. And that's because my class isn't just a basic how to spin how to process. Yeah, I want people who are going to know let's not do that. Who are you going to jump into the fiber world? Understand the multi use of the animals, the plants, or the products and then not have to break their bank because I know. I mean, just our generation alone, we jump into a new hobby and we jump full force in and then break our wallet. I mean, I think that's just a product of our generation. And I want to show people you can jump into the hobby without breaking your wallet. So then when you find your full passion, think of full force. Yeah, I like that. Yeah, and it's not uncommon folks at Prepper Camp to see.
This is what I want to one of the many things that amaze me is. There's someone in the in the age range of about 10 to 16 at your booth using the spinning wheel. I think at every Prepper Camp you've brought that thing, there's been a girl of about that age range who just is like, I want to try. And then they try for a while. So the girl who did it though has been attending for years in a row. Oh, maybe it's the same year. But no, but you're right. Every year, I mean, I think I had a gagal of kids at my booth this time, ages seven all the way up to 17, all trying to spin rule and playing with the fiber. And it's for ages. I mean, I've had people who in adults are coming and doing it. And then I love when they come back and be like, do you remember me? And I'm like, yeah, but you were like two and a half feet shorter. Yeah, that was her this year, right? She definitely grew up. That was one of them. So I had two girls come back this year. And one I had seen in like two years.
And she actually won one of our spindles a couple years before answering the question for the trivia at Prepper Camp. And it was just amazing to see how much she's flourished into it to now wrap my head around. She's 21 year old or 22 year old college student. And I'm just like, oh, it made my heart just heard a little bit. I remember her coming every year when she was even smaller. And it's just it's beautiful. It is beautiful. So your show, your Instagram always hit me as kind of like a lifestyle thing. Like that's what I get out of Jordan's Instagram and the Phoenix survival Instagram and the Phoenix survival show. It really is a holistic kind of this is the lifestyle that I'm living in a lifestyle that I'm kind of pushing. Yeah, I actually have some content. I need it to pose. But then that's when we found out that Instagram changed its rules. That's right. Bubbles pop.
He's he got a bubble machine. And that's the best of the best right there. It is, but it's one of those things I share what I'm doing. I record when I'm back and stealing when I'm processing it and I haven't posted them. I need to. Yeah, I need to post them, but it runs into and that's when we found out sorry I digress. We found out that Instagram changed its standards because it's like I wanted to bring attention to the fact that in bulk preparedness, we are seeing shortages affecting us. Everyday people probably don't notice it, but people who store in bulk like I do or you do. It makes a difference when you're finding out that your food is being shorted anywhere from two ounces to six out. Especially if you're putting up in specific measurements or weights. Sure. Yeah, we should be getting what it is we pay for. There's no doubt about it, right? Definitely should be we get what we pay for.
You know, this kind of stuff is not new for you. You've always been an important part of I guess the uncovering of things here at PBN. You were huge help during COVID and a lot of experience in the back end with what was happening on the pharmaceutical side. Yeah. And you know, the reason I think it's a lifestyle show is because there are a lot of facets to the Phoenix. You know what I mean? I don't know if I can say that on here. You can say whatever you want. Well, it's a joke and I know you've probably seen the meme, but I, you know, people say they're a jack of all trades and I say I'm a hell of all hobbies. I like that. That's great. I was raised that and it's not to be any kind of way, but I was raised as a woman that I should be able to provide for my family. And every aspect because there are going to be hard times and they're going to be lean times.
And I need to be that backbone. So if my partner loses work or he gets injured, I can pick up that slack and take care of my family. So I think that's a big reason why grown up very poor, like very poor, very hungry even throughout high school. Like I could tell you people I've known all my life who would have never known my family struggled as hard as we did. Wow. And it's just one of those things where we didn't broadcast our hardships, we didn't broadcast our struggles, but growing up that way I find that if I share with people, the things that can help those lean or the hard times, then maybe I can give them those, those tips and tricks that we didn't have grown up. Well, we had great depression, error reason, like my great aunt and everything were a big part of my life and we learned from them, their habit or was it our parents were boomer kids. Yeah, pretty much.
Pretty much. Yeah, that's, I mean, that's the angle that probably people need to read. That's the lane people really need to get into right now. I think a lot of people are getting caught by surprise and going like, oh, I think we're seeing a lot of that though that our generation has gone from. We're going to say it out right. We didn't have a midlife crisis. We just went straight into an old world skill. We went from party and our you to all of a sudden, yeah, we're raising chickens and cooking from scratch and. I mean, certainly did. Yeah, beyond this, I don't mess with social media. Yeah, it's a trap to some degree can be. It can be. Well, that's like I haven't touched TikTok in over a year. I found that the habit of doom scroll and just got too easy and now it's like, I haven't touched it. I haven't won it. I know I have a show account over there, but it just felt like more of a hassle and competition to try to get the algorithm.
And I find I can do more here and then linking it to Facebook and I can on any other platform or on our podcast. So if you guys want to hear more from Jordan, you got to hit that link in the Instagram live stream there. You see it. You guys who are watching over at Instagram, follow the Phoenix. Let's get her up to a thousand follows this month. I think we're going to bring her on again so we can really get you. I'm going to get you in the face of these people and get them to hit that button. Come on, you wanted to go live because she's going to show you how to clean chickens. She's going to show you how to vacuum. She might show you how to make some things with five. I mean, she's always the lives are always showing something. And I have been taken away. I haven't I have been requested from camp to help a gentleman. I'm not going to be a vegetarian to help butcher in his chicken and his chicken with him. And it's like that's a teaching moment.
Like I love being able to have that moment to teach him and his family how to process chicken. And that's phenomenal. Yeah. So that's what we need out of you guys. And trust me, the other thing you can do too if you want to get more Phoenix. You go to prepabroadcast.com. Use the little search bar over there and type in Phoenix and you'll get all of her most recent shows. And at some point, I'll get it all posted on the rest of the chicken person. I've got to get more mate because that is that was a big hit was the chicken person. Man, I should have told you to bring one. I should have told you if you don't have any though. I have one right next to the door. If you're a big team for sure. Oh, definitely go grab it. Guys, you're going to love this thing. You are going to love this thing, man. You know, like there are. We all spend too much time on the internet. We all scroll through products that are wants and needs or that kind of thing. Sometimes you see a product that is like, this is it. You know what I mean? And when you see the chicken purse, you automatically know for this community of people, right?
For the community of people who watch these lives, prepabroadcasting network listeners, like this is the product. You know what I mean? You see. Shenlement. Holiday time is right around the corner. Okay. If you're not sure what your wife wants, i'm sure what your wife wants that you wanted that right there. Yeah. It was just... Look at that thing for the daughter. I... I had a slew of them I mean both the big purses and all the very little purses. They are all liners. It was amazing and and that's what I enjoy. So my next big kick is I actually plan on trying to get more wears made since I think Camp next year is gonna be an honor. Hober maybe it was mentioned possibly so that would be nice. Because nobody wanted wool or cotton or polyester on their skin while walking. They wanted to touch that thing in this. Yeah and you still sold them all so think about that. Yeah, all but three. All but three and I think I like
12 of each. Wow. Yeah. Yeah, that's phenomenal. And that was just in two days but it's one of those I hopefully soon you'll be seeing more wears, more sweaters and all the good stuff especially. I've never had a viewers has been phenomenal. I can't think of anything I got from you. It wasn't like top tier. The foraging bag is amazing. Great time to get out foraging. I try to put my best quality in it is the way I see it is if you're going to get something from me I want to stand behind what I make because that's my name attached to it. You can go to Walmart all day long and you can pay Walmart prices. That is absolutely fine but when it comes down to it I definitely put as much work as I can into it so it can fold up. You ain't going to get no hat from Walmart. It's going to last the way my furglasses. It has been over 10 years for that. It's been a while for sure.
And here's the thing guys like you see the chicken purse you hear about the bags and all that stuff. You got to reach out to her through Instagram. You got a DM or something. That's the best way to get you right. It is. I'm on Instagram. I do have Facebook. I have to post on there. I have to link it. My email is always the best way. Phoenix-survival at proton.me. I've owned my domain for over four years. I've never got my psych film. Give her a reason. Overwhelmed that inbox and that DM so that she's got to build that website because that's something. But if you want one of those chicken purses that's how you get a hold of her. And if you're going to go through the trouble at the end and you might as well go through the trouble of following and helping us reach that one thousand marks so we can get the Phoenix live here on Instagram again. We're always dealing with barriers. You got to understand. When I would stream I would connect my Facebook live. I mean my Instagram live with rumble and Twitter and then it would turn into a whole now fiasco. Oh okay,
I'm one stream short now. Yeah, yeah, we can't have that. We need to spread the word every which way we can. So I think it's time to let you get back to the little man. Yeah, he's dying to get his hands on these bubbles because well like it the clearance queen over here. All the bubble machines remarked down to $3 for the big things at Walmart. So we bought a couple because they're going to go through heck and back. The $3 on the machine is not a bad thing. That ain't bad at all. That ain't bad at all. Well Jordan always a great time having you always a pleasure seeing you in the family thriving over there on the porch living the good life. And again, I've always been child in the background. Oh yeah, it's been the first show all the way back to the first show on PBN honestly. Yes. That is the background music of the Phoenix for sure. Well all right folks, I appreciate you. We will be back tomorrow with the the dirty man safe Adrian from the dirty
man safe. Don't miss it. Like I said, what I need from you today. Click that like looking the show description. Follow Jordan over there at Phoenix Survival. All right. We'll see you guys next time. Stay tuned.
