This is the Lockdown Podcast Network celebrating 10 years of your team every day. Huge Sunday night game in college football. It's the post-length Kiffen error at Ole Miss. Can Louisville pull the upset? This is Lockdown Vets, the daily betting show that means business from the Lockdown Podcast Network. Posted by Least Sterling and Kevin Rogers, they're dropping fearless picks with an inside edge to put money in your pocket. If there's action, they've got the lock. This is where SmartBets start. It's Lockdown Vets. Welcome to the Friday edition of Lockdown Vets, Kevin Rogers and Least Sterling Appair Mount Sports with you. And as always, we appreciate you making Lockdown Vets your first list of the day here. On the Lockdown Podcast Network, plenty of college football to go over. Also, UFC Fight Night in Paris. We have a pick for that.
So a lot to get to Thursday night in the books, but still college football tonight, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. But the big one on Saturday is Ole Miss and Louisville, SEC and ACC, hooking up in Nashville for our lock of the day. Open it, open it, open it. Lee has the key to the lock of the day. Lane Kiffin gone from Ole Miss now at LSU and he'll have a pro roster by the time of the season's over with. I'm sure with the Tigers, but looking at the Rebels who were a couple plays away from the national championship last year, they faced Jeff Brahms, Louisville Cardinals squad, two quarterback, a lot of new faces on offense and the Rebels, a touchdown favoritly. What do you like here? I like Jeff Brahms. I think he's a really good coach, but here's the problem. Only once the year, as he pulled the big upset, or once every couple of years, he's going to try to prepare probably like you did against Miami last year.
We came up with 25 new plays, something like that in the two week city had to prepare for that game. But the problem is, doesn't have an experienced quarterback. And also Isaac Brown, best running back, maybe the best player on the field, other than Trinidad Chamblis and Lacey, he's right up there, but he's a Chinatown. I mean, you touch this guy, he's hurt. He'll go out for the game at the drop of a hat. He'll be out for two or three weeks. So for them to play well, he's got to probably run for 130, 140 yards, but I like what Ole Miss did. No one talks about this. In the off season, their two biggest weaknesses were inside the linebacker. And what do they do? Grab two of the best out there in the portal. Two guys, especially a kid from Cal, Ferelli, these two guys combined from a 200 tackles. So I think it could actually be better on defense in last year. We know about Trinidad Chamblis. Maybe the best quarterback from Cal is Trinidad football.
I'd be the first pick in the draft. Lacey could be a top 10, 15 draft pick. Maybe the best running back we've seen in a couple years in college football. And the game isn't in Louisville. So it's in a neutral site. And I just think Ole Miss is going to play well and told they possibly take some injuries. They don't have a whole lot of depth. So I'm going to go to the lock here. Let's go all the way up here. Level three lock. We're going with Ole Miss here. They win and cover. Probably something like 36, 23. And also to another point. Everyone likes to go to the Jeff Brahm angle about covering as an underdog. And yes, they were nearly two touchdown dogs against Miami last year. Carson Beckett, Ole's Interceptions. And even two years ago, they won outrays in 11 point dog against Clemson. Now it's just a touchdown. So now it's a little more manageable. It's not asking to cover a really big number. And again, you have all these new faced-on offense. And probably the best quarterback in the country in Chamblis with Ole Miss. Or one of the top two or three.
So they definitely have a lot of experience on the offensive side. Even with Golding coaching for Kiffin during the playoffs, he has some experience in those big games. And at least he's not getting thrown to the wolves here. So Ole Miss and Louisville coming up Sunday night in Nashville. Got a lot of big games coming up this weekend. You have Wisconsin, Notre Dame as well in Lambo field on Sunday. Washington, Washington. Stayed on Sunday, of course, all the big games Saturday, including Lane Kiffin's new team. LSU taking on Clemson. So a lot of college football coming up this weekend. But tonight, though, there is a nice slate of games. You have Miami and Stanford coming up late night Palo Alto. But we're going to concentrate here. Big 10 and the Mac, our college football blowout special. Oh boy, last one out. Turn off the lights. So this one's a blowout. Seeing how last year wrapped up for both Michigan State and Toledo,
the Spartans won their only big 10 game at the end of the season against Maryland and Toledo was one of the top teams in the Mac. So you figure here, Michigan State laying tended Toledo that the Rockets, you know, why not take the points with them? But not the case here. Pat Fitzgerald, the former Northwestern coach, he is now the coach of Michigan State. He did as much as he could with Northwestern. Only so far he can go. He kept them pretty competitive for a very long time. It kind of had an ugly exit there at Northwestern a few years ago. Still a quality coach and taking over Michigan State team, just looking for any kind of positivity. Meanwhile, for Toledo, Jason Candle, he was their long time coach. And he had Toledo again towards the top of the Mac for years. He left go to Yukon. He left for a better job. So he's gone. Their quarterbacks gone. Their top running back is gone. Their top receivers are gone. Some of their top players defensively are gone. They had good defensive numbers last year. It's like they're starting from scratch. It feels like Toledo and Michigan State with their quarterback who played the last four games last year.
Too good, too bad, but still at least got some good playing time against big 10 teams. And now he's facing a Max Squad that's basically in rebuilding mode. Let's lay the points with Spardy here. Michigan State over Toledo for our Friday night couch football below. It's special. I think you hit one right on the head here, Kevin. So I think Michigan State's going to be much improved with Fitzgerald. It's going to be a tougher team. And Jason Candle, he absolutely gutted this team. Any player that was Deicin, he took with him. So usually Toledo is one of the better teams in conference, not this year. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how they, how they fare, basically having a brand new roster and what they do coming up starting tonight in East Lansing against Michigan State. Coming up, we will have another big 10 Mac game with Nebraska and Ohio, which is called the Frank Solage Bowl. You never get that, that often. So that is ahead. And also Lee has a pick on UFC Fight Night coming up
in Paris on Saturday. So that is all straight ahead. You are listening to the Friday edition of a Lockdown Betz. Lockdown Betz is brought to you by Fan Dual, College Football Saturdays are already packed with reasons to get excited in this season. Fan Dual is giving fans even more ways to get in on every matchup back your favorite team, build the same game, Parlay, Betz team props or make your picks on the biggest games of the weekend. And throughout the season, keep an eye on the Fan Dual after even more ways to get rewarded with a full slate of College Football every Saturday. There are plenty of opportunities to follow the games and find new ways to get involved. And just a busy, busy weekend for College Football, probably the best weekend because you have games tonight. You have games all day Saturday. You have games on Sunday. You have a game Monday. So you have all of that before the NFL begins and Saturday, the battle, the Tigers, Clemson and LSU, also on Sunday.
A lot of big matchups. In fact, the Apple Cup, Washington, Washington State. You have in Green Bay. It's Wisconsin taking on Notre Dame. Also, Ole Miss and Louisville in Nashville, a Florida State hosting SMU on Monday nights to wrap it up. So many games to choose from. That's just a handful. And many more that you could find. All you got to do is go to fanjouled.com now to get started. We continue the Friday edition of Locked On Betz, Kevin Rogers, and Lee Sterling, a paramount sports, Nebraska and Ohio. What can Matt Rule do for you? Let's see what happens. Big red taken on the big green of Ohio, those Bobcats and another blowout special. Oh, boy. Last one out. Turn off the lights. This one's a blowout. What will Matt Rule do? We know every stop he's made, except for the Carolina Panthers, every college stop I should say, struggled to begin with,
eventually got them good, temple, baler. But at Nebraska, is he going to finally get Nebraska in the top half of a very tough big 10 taking on Ohio and linking on Saturday afternoodly? What do you like? So I like to change a quarterback here. Dylan Rale just wasn't the right fit. Team didn't believe in him. Town of Love is down. I mean, they have lessen a dozen guys playing in the NFL right now in Nebraska. So they got to start developing guys, get guys that are right for their system. Then they bring an Anthony Collandrian. This is a guy that pretty much struggled at Virginia, then goes to UNLV, found himself. Now he's moving up in conferences and think he's a great fit for this offense here. So I think he's going to have success. They're going to go against an Ohio team that had a really good quarterback for three years, Parking of R, but he ended up graduating. And now they're going to lose a guy that threw
for almost 2400 yards and also ran for almost 700 yards and seven touchdowns. So big loss there. Ohio and a lot of these Mac teams are going to be really down this year. So I'm taking Nebraska. I'm not saying they're going to be great. But in this spot, I think they take care of business here. I think they win this game, something like 38 to 7. So let's go with Nebraska here. Easy winner over Ohio below out special. I want your thought on this really quick before we go to the UFC that we talked about so far in the show Toledo and Ohio, a couple of Mac schools that are usually pretty good as far as in that conference. But with all the transfer portals, everything going that these bigger teams are taken guys from these mid majors that do you see that drop off in the Mac, in the Sunbelt, in conferences like that because so many of these bigger conferences are taking those players now.
Yeah, in coaches, coaches are leaving quicker. They used to have a little bit of loyalty, not anymore. And they're having to go Division 2, FCS to hire coaches. And when you do that, it's tough. I mean, you can't bring guys up from Division 2 to Division 1 football. So getting tougher for the Mac and it all boils down to money. Yeah. And again, you have a lot of these Mac schools taking on bigger conferences in the first week or two of the season before they get going with their league play. Now let's transition over to UFC and Fight Night headed off to Paris coming up on Saturday and time now for Betalino when a whole lot. They say you'll miss 100% of the shots you don't take. So Betalino win a lot. And Lee, we're going to focus on a welterweight battle coming up Saturday, Don Chenco and Soriano. Let's see who you got coming out on top of this one.
So Dan Chenco had done really well for a while. But one is last four fights. But here's a guy that really hasn't beaten anyone. Beat Alex Marano. I mean, the other guys, these guys are never going to be ranked and then on the other hand, Bruno Soriano has fought some really good fighters, guys like Brendan Allen, also fought Roman Koppelhoff, who's done well of late, Dustin Stolfus. I mean, he lost all three of those guys, but for him tough and he's won three fights. He's been really under the radar. This is a fight here where I think Bruno has more power. I think he has better cardio. And if it goes to the ground, which it may or may not, we're not sure there, I think even has an edge there. I think this line in fight is priced just terribly wrong here. Should be a pick them, or maybe even, Pune is even a favorite here.
So I'm going to take him here plus 200. That's right. Plus 200, you might even get plus 205 plus 210 if you shop around here. Battle little went a lot. We're going with the Hawaii here, Hawaiian here from Oahu. I think Pune Soriano gets to win. Battle little went a lot. And UFC fight night from Paris, France, and it starts 12 Eastern. So don't wait until five, six o'clock and look, where do I bet it? Fight's probably going to be over by then. So you got a busy weekend coming up. You have UFC Saturday. You're going to have to split the screens with college football. So you got a lot going on. So with Paramount Sports, College Football Week 1, NFL Week 1 kicks off Wednesday with the Patriots and Seahawks, UFC, even major league baseball.
