Anybody can make jeans, but you can't dupe true religions. That famous fit pockets you recognize instantly stand out stitching. They try to get the full package, but only we have the legacy. Shop the iconography capsule now at True Religion. This is a podcast from Rover. It's like radio without the music with the Morning Rumble Ketchup podcast. Rob's Bright Smolls and Mel's The Rock's Morning Rumble. Three past six Friday morning morning to you and we're back to the countdown. Three weeks in nearly goodness me. Day 15 after eight this morning, Mel's morning to you. Morning, good morning everyone. How are we? So good rock 2000 countdown. It was great yesterday, Mel. Morning to you. G'day mate. How's it going? Yeah, so good brisket. I'm out. Wazah! Wazah! Hello everybody. How are you going? Hello there. Hello. How are you? Oh yeah. Countdowns are only good. Yes. Everyone's good. Everyone's enjoying it. One week from the final day. Oh, you always have this little chat in the studio.
About two months ago. We rewind two months ago. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we know we're having these meetings at work about how the countdown is going to roll out and what we're going to do and all of this sort of stuff. And we always say, man, it's going to be that final Friday before you know it. And we're one week away. It'll be unbelievable next Friday. We're into the 500s. Yes, we are into the 500s. We're going to kick it off at 571 Bryce Mel and Mel's after us. Been selling so good. Some bangers yesterday. Absolutely. Banger. Ozzy Crawl. I think it was the penultimate song of the day. Rick Luss. Yeah. Teenage do it, bag. Yeah, that got me going. Hinder, lips of an angel. Oh! Got Bryce going. I hated that. Now he's next. Actually, good call. It's sat. I was furious. I text out of our breath. Yes. What did you say? Yeah. I said, what has gone on? Yeah. This is dreadful. Yes, what did they say? Well, that didn't get it. That were happy, Ozzy. I'm happy. But apart from that, it's been good. It's been good. It's been good, guys. It's good next, too.
We had him on the yesterday. Aaron Clark, he plays for the Warriors. They take on Newcastle this Sunday in the NRL playoffs. That's six o'clock at Eden Parks. If you missed it, it was a great chat with the Warrior. Aaron Clark. Absolutely. Ledge. The Morning Rumble podcast because he account a four-debanded expander in Newcastle. Aaron Clark from the Warriors. He joined us on the show yesterday. You might have missed it. We are the power. We are the speed. We are the skills. And so we're going to need. Get out the shaft. Say it to the end. We are the Warriors. A hundred percent. Okay. How good. Just before we get Aaron Clark, who's been the man? But how good would it be to see or be a part of 50,000 people? Yeah. Touch wood, singing that song. Oh, well, you'll go. What's on there? Can't wait. You got the words down right now. Can you sound? Can't wait. Yeah, get the words down. Pat. Boy. But it's going to be awesome. Just quickly, one of the games that I wasn't there, but I was at Sky. And it's about, oh, it's about a K and a half,
two Ks away from where Mount Smatters go, media stadium. And I walked out just on the NPC commentary. The Warriors game had just finished. I could hear the crowd singing that song. Knowing that they'd won, obviously. So cool. That was so cool. That's a couple of kayweights. Awesome. And that's half the amount of people. Yeah, exactly. Great point. Well, you're there this Sunday, Miles Kickoff at Six Against, a new castle. We had Aaron Clark from The Warriors on yesterday. On behalf of lots of people listening, oh, boy, you're fun to watch, bro. You have been the absolute man. How have fun's it been having this season with The Warriors so far as we head into another week of finals, footy? Bro, to be honest, like it's just to play footy with my mate and the father sold out crowds is always fun. Credit to the fans for showing up here week and week out. And hopefully, string a few wants to give them, bring something special home for New Zealand. Well, Aaron, yeah, I mean, you're playing in front of Go Media. That's like 26, 27,000. How's it going to be playing in front of 48,000 this coming Sunday?
Yeah, bro, it's special. Bishley with the history Eden Park Holds. Our staff kind of specter's about what kind of history has been going on at Eden Park. To be a part of that, as The Warriors, I think the last game we had there was 2014. So to take it back and at the side, it's going to be fun or it's pretty special. Boring, boring nights question. Tough game against them. They didn't have their full team on the field for a bit of the game. When you last beat them, what will it take to beat them this time round? Just bringing our best, bro. I think the last maybe three, four weeks, we haven't really been us as the most we can be in. I think we focused on us and we hope that we turn up to the start line and really think about our best and what we know we can give. I'm sure the result will take care of itself. Nice. Now, Aaron, it's Mel here. Something that I've found out about you and correct me if I'm wrong. Did you used to work in a bakery and you were caught eating all the pies?
Is that true? Have you been talking to you? Apparently I'm a podcast. Do you love a pie? I can reward yourself with a pie after the game. I'm not really a big pie either now. I might look at it, but I'm not at all. Me and my old lady were nice young. She used to stop me from eating pies, my mum. I used to love a pie, so... Yeah, but who's your mum? She said, I know. She said, I know. She's a big name. Yeah, she's a decent nippleer. You're a pyrr... Yeah. You're a pyrr... Yeah. You're a pyrr-a-baily. Yeah. Yeah, she's right. She's good. She's alright, but... Yeah, she's good. Literally, a text came through, John, that said, Aaron, your mum, is still my favourite Nipple player. She had that toughness smashing into players. She made Nipple exciting to watch. And I guess I don't really have a question. I just wanted to say, you're the man and smash them. You're a city before you, my son's favourite.
Little players as well to watch, like, all the kids watching. What's it been like coming back, you know, with the Warriors and having that fan engagement? Because the Warriors fans are second to none. The buy-in, the support, the merch. It's so cool to see. Yeah, but it's been special, like... Like you talk about your young fella. My young fella is second year, 40, and he just loves it. And to... I think I said, like, players, we want to role model the fact that they can play 40 as well. Because I know New Zealand's real used to be rugby union orientated, even when they were playing for the Oblix. Now, our goal is to get all these young kids one of the players for the Warriors as well. And that's pretty special knowing that we're... Our models for analyzing a lot of these young kids. Yeah, that's part of our goal as well. By the way, kids, there'll be so many screaming kids at Aiden Park, screaming, pantas, others coming Sunday at 6G. Newcastle Knights,
mate, it's just going to be electric. It's just going to be electric, isn't it, Aaron? It's just going to be electric, isn't it, Aaron? 100%, bro. And I think the type of footy Newcastle play, they're quite exciting, but... We've got to play the footy, we want to play, bro, and that's taking them into deep waters. And, yeah, like I said, we want to show our best, and we do that, like I said, the result will take care of itself. Hey, Aaron, Bryce here one more time. Yeah, good knee, yeah, good knee tickets. Yeah. How's he just been away? How many takes have you had? Well, I've had to, I've had to kind of a lot of people off from last week. And last week, oh my gosh, some of the... Like I was like waiting for tickets, and then I had to send them out, and I was like, I told my wife it's in Beav, then we'll take it. I'm just, I just want to get through the game. You're not a career. I'm taking my 12 year old. I can't wait on Sunday, mate. It's going to be a great atmosphere. He asked me in the car the other week, Dad, can we go back to Warriors' game? I was like, shush, they're rare as hens, see? Yeah. But God in there managed to get a couple,
so can't wait, bro. Good luck, Adelaide. Thank you. Thank you. I'm the Warriors here and appreciate it. Coming up on the morning rumble. Yes, Aaron Clark, that's Warriors on Sunday at 6 p.m. against the nights. You're going to be there, Miles. Woo, bring it on. Can't wait. The men are. See, everything's to the back. This is tied up. This will be... He won. The men and rumble podcasts. First. Remember the days that they all schooled. Miles, you've been talking about Miller, who's seven now, goodness mingle. Yeah. School production. Yeah. Last night. Yeah. Oh, boy, how was it? Now, can I ask, sorry, could I? No, no, no. I'll make you listen to the weather system. And we can get into our memories of school productions. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And love for you to let us know how you start at school. Um, is it just his year? What is he year two? You're something, by the way. He's year two. It's the whole school. Oh, school. Kevin's every time he's. He's. He's. He's. That's a rare school production. So, like, three hundred and fifty kids. And the bowling all three hundred and thirty kids. Yeah. Oh, that's a lot. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've got a kids dream. A lot of moving parts. A lot of moving parts. It was like an hour and a half at least long. Oh, that's too long. No. In the, in the, in the credit to the teachers. He's a... Harriet. Sorry, ma'am. Credit to the teachers. Yeah. Unbelievable effort to organize all the kids and the dedication the kids with superb teachers would have been regretting it. For teachers. What do I feel for them? Especially today. It's still going to day to go. And I just want to say the costumes and everything the production was top-notch. It was called the space project voyage of the radiant scarlet. Too long. Never heard of it. But I thoroughly recommend it for your school. Gave me, it's sort of like a real Christopher Nolan's interstellar. Matt Damon's the Martian. I'm a get in with Bruce Willis. Is it more believable than the moon landing?
And so... And so it was a real space sci-fi kind of vibe. It was really cool. The Elmilla. Who was he? What was he an extra? Yeah, yeah, yeah. What was his role? I think he was in the meteor shower. When they re-entered the atmosphere at neither very end. What did he have to do? So I talked us through. Is he's got the little orange? Yeah, he's a bit of white. So all the year, two came on. Half of them, I think. They all came on and they were like... They were in their arms. Raven their arms and they all in bright orange, bright red. And they were like running around and stuff. That was about an hour and a half into it. So how could you tell which one was your kid? I couldn't. Great. Because you're always out of the bed. They are not. And I was up the back and I was like... I was cheering for another kid with it. I was like, I am so cooked. I'm trying to, I got progressive glasses now. They're expensive. And I was like moving my head around trying to get the focal point. How long was his past? Oh, not long.
Like, on and off. On and off. Not long. Anywho. Anywho. But there was, there was one regrettable part in the whole in the whole play. And my wife, Emma, she was there. And she actually did a bit of a voice note for you guys as to what happened. Where was she? She was right beside me. Okay, okay. And so she recorded this and captured some of the audio. Is this during production? This is during the production. It's a regrettable part of the production. Your wife and mother. But this is Emma recounting what actually happened. Roger, if you'd played that bit for me please. It has a man, Josh. Finally, the audience and even some of the nasty appearance started singing. Branden is a man-given. I have to admit for a little while I've sort of joined in as well. From that day on, Branden never sang again. Your favorite fall flavors are back at Starbucks. The one and only pumpkin spice latte and the deliciously smooth iced
pecan crunch latte have arrived and are ready to sip all season long. Or find a new favorite, like the new iced banana bread latte that tastes just like fall in a cup. You can find your favorite taste of fall only at Starbucks. Yes, yeah, corporate. That's so right. Let's do that, guys. That is... I did... It was regrettable. I enjoyed it. You guys tried it that it made. Yeah, we still did. We still did. Yeah, we do. But every now and then you play it between songs. Yeah, I've had a man-given up. Fresh has a man-given up. And it will happen again today. Yeah. But look, you scored it. Yeah, pretty funny though. When you tuck it. When does that time get tight, man? Yeah. Billy can. The Morning Rumble podcast. No flair and even less here. You'll get it here. Portabac call has to go today and you can also, if you head to Morning Rumble Facebook, comment a chance to win a year-long
Disney Plus subscription as well. So good luck for this. Here we go. The Morning Rumbles caught a back crawl. Ready, blue, ready, set, 140. We got cheers to Disney Plus. Stream the NFL live with ESPN on Disney Plus. Yes, they have the NFL cover. The big games, every touchdown in it. NFL Red Zone Moles is a huge sports show. Loversively on Disney Plus, which we on, we're in this weekend. Yeah, so that Red Zone starts, I think, 5am, you see on the time, don't like saving noise gets me when that starts in a week or so. But yes, Red Zone's great. You started it goes for literally like six hours. I think I could. You don't have to six hours. Could I just, I think I could. Yeah, you could. But it'll be, for teagate. Like the guy does what Scott Hansen's amazing. Like he's so good. Doesn't drink water. Stays as minimally hydrate as possible. So he doesn't have to go in. He can't go in weeks. Yes, because that man's here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's impressive. But I do want to shock. Yeah, yeah. You're Scott Hansen. And we thank you for that. My kidneys are hurting.
Yeah. Let's bring them in from the south from. Oh, I'm a room. Scotty. Go. Go. Scotty. There you go. So good. So I actually played it before in the replay. So if you're listening, you might already know. $5,000, Rod. $1,000, Scotty. Just repeat what you hear back. The quarterback call mate. Here we go. Blue 33. Watch has no shoulders. Or do I 82? So, huh? Scotty, what was the quarterback's call? Blue 33. Rod has no shoulders. Or do I 82? Sit up. Little blue. Blue 33. Scotty. Oh, well. Specs you. Have a thousand bucks mate. Oh, man, that's my week. He's ordered. Well, what's being there tonight? It is now he giving it today. Scotty, just $1,000 dropped in the weekend. What's he going to be spent on? Geberus, you bet. That'll be neat. Well, bet responsibly and all of that stuff.
You are money, you enjoy it. You are single handed. Being got. Injecting a thousand bucks into Almadoo's economy man. That's, that's, we need it. We need it. Good on you, Scotty. What's what you go to be when you enjoy a beer on the weekend? What you go to? Oh, steak. What do you make? What a stupid question. LAUGHTER Go on your Scotty. Have a great week, Embo. Enjoy the countdown. Kids. Kids are good on you. ESPN Disney Plus, thanks for that NFL company. Thank you. Thank you. All this money to give away. So thank you so much, Embo. You know where you are? You're in the jungle, baby. LAUGHTER LAUGHTER LAUGHTER LAUGHTER The Morning Rumble podcast. Ah, so Bryce suddenly popped up. There was a 10-year anniversary, obviously, five years ago. And 15 years, tomorrow. 15 years, tomorrow, it made the news. But it was 15 years ago today
that I went to work on another job and did something that would shape and impact my life. Certainly for the next couple of years afterwards. Also, we've always talked about it. You impersonating a pilot's, correct? Yes. Auckland Airport. Correct. I mean, here's a little bit of the story. It was all in the name of comedy, but today no one was laughing. Wannabein star Ben Boyce admits he crossed the line when he suggested Radio DJ Bryce Casey play a pilot and attempt to enter a restricted area in the domestic terminal. Which, of course, you didn't do. I mean, you were there at the airport and you didn't even get through the gates, nothing. I was a mixed part of the Auckland Dmit. So it was for a skit on Wannabein. Each week, I went attempt to try and talk my way in summer for free. Like I say, there's a toy story movie. I dressed up as Buzz Lightyear. That's right. Can I walk straight into the movie theater because people just think I'm part of the movie? Of course. Black and Bryce was the idea of this one-minute segment on the show each week. This week, episode, the attempt was, yes, to try and be a pilot, could I just get past the extra little security part?
Never to get on the plane or anything, just to walk past. That was the idea of the skit. We had done so many thought, nothing, all but... No. My costume was so poor. My mustache was falling off. The lady was laughing at me. She knew it was a joke. We got on the car and we left thought, nothing, all but... Thought nothing, all but, yeah. Well, well, well. And then all of a sudden, I look on stuff on the Sunday night doing a bit of prep for the next morning's show. And the front page of the paper. A front page of stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, oh, oh. And I was like, do you know this man? It was the picture of me in the airport in the pilot's uniform. Police searching for description. Man in 30s. Tatto's. Attempts to be pilot. I was like, oh, shit. Oh no. And that was just the start. Then what? I would be. Yeah, I mean, that... A fright now. Few days. And then... Because I did a bull lake of two years. I did know him and I was ringing them. I mean, it's by tasting. Yeah, it's the guy you want. Oh, yeah, yeah. I mean, I'll be honest. And that time's past four years, the cops were useless. Sloppy. So the cops were at your shambles.
I was actually, I think, here... Watching you call the police. So... I called the police like... And don't yourself. Multiple times. And I would just be left on answering useless. Yeah. And then the next day... And then the next day... And then the next day on the news was... Yeah. It was the front page of the herald. It was the leading breakfast news. John Key was on there. The Prime Minister at the time, yes. I think it's irresponsible from a bunch of clowns who should know better. And if these are people who are just playing games need to grow up a bit... Oh, so finally I get there. Is that John Key? Is that your dad? No. My dad was actually really good on that. Yeah, I thought he was going to be angry. He was actually really supportive. So you ended up in prison, didn't you, for a bit? Yeah. Oh my God. What you're doing? I was like, yeah, which is, I mean, terrible for you. But the story of when you and Ben and the producer and that are in prison, I mean, quite far... In a holding cell. In a holding cell, yeah. You're... You're all grigodies. Well, Ben already had one. We made Ben grow up first. You're in a cell.
You're in a cell with a gang member, weren't you? Yep. Who just started punching the wall. And he was screaming at the same time. At that point, I think I'd done boxing for about a year. In my head, I was thinking, one, one, two. One, two. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Like, one, one, five. I go, jab, jab, upper cut. It was so scary. But then the best part was when they were about to put us in another holding cell, all of us collectively. And the guy was the big security guard. And hindsight, that's my funniest part of the story. But he goes, who's first? And I was like, what do you mean? And he goes, who's first? I'm not going to even ask you. Whoa, what does that mean? And I was like, what are you talking about? And then he proceeded to grab a plastic glove. But at this point, we'd had to give him out about such deliciousness. And then he's like, who's going first? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I then pulls the glove out and he goes to check and put the glove on his hand. And I was like, oh, no, no. I've got nothing in my ass. And then I was looking at Ben, I was like, your food. And then he was like, nah, just with you.
And then I left the show. That is my house, Roger. Who are these jokes right now? And I get how Roger's. That's Roger like. Anyway, 18 months later, court proceedings, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I'm just charged with that conviction. We got a $2,000 fine each. We had to do like a 100 hours community service. Oh, that's right, yeah. We did, we were facing two years, president, $10,000 fine. He was talking about that. That's quite the thing, yeah. He was talking about 15 years ago. He got to last my mortgage. Yes. Oh, yeah. Because he can't turn us out. It was a woman who had taken position of the house. Turns out you can't have a conviction of pending, which technically I did. I think it was risky, but hey, yeah. 15 years ago, tomorrow, there you go. There you go. An anniversary. An anniversary. Yeah, risky, but hey, yeah. That's just a responsible man. Don't look at him. No, no, no, no. We're going for me as well. Don't you like him, bad boy? I do actually. I'm a sucker for a bit. I'm so, it was pretty hot. Especially when it's free Saturday, you know. I am a big boy. Yeah. Can we talk him like that? I am a big boy. The Morning Rumble podcast.
Greg had coal-lusting. He loves the show and he said, a holding cell is not a prison. He should trust me, I know. But you were in a holding cell price when you got arrested for impersonating a pilot. Yeah, correct. But you got out of there for a couple of hours. Yeah, it wasn't longer. I got, well, I got, hey, I got, I got, I got a, a raindrop, a teardrop. You killed a man. Yeah. I did. For a man. Wow, you got to do what you got to do in prison. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it looks hot. I put the escape route on my back. Tatoo to get it, King. So, 15 years ago, stressful times. 15 years ago, that's today, old 12th and most of them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, I'll produce a match more on this after 7, but you're really invested in the bird of the year competition. Oh, mate, the countdown's pretty big, though. Bird of the year, man. And when does it wrap up? This Sunday, can you believe it? How have we not brought it up yet? Because it's low. Have you put your boats in? What bird are you going for this year? Well, it's a tough choice. I've always got to sit down and write out my boats
and think about it, of that. But you've got one you're hot on, aren't you? Yes, I do. I do. In fact, there's a big movement behind this bird. There's an Instagram page that's been set up for it. If you got time, jump on Instagram, check out at Takahae for Moody the Year 2026. I'm not. Well, what we're going to do is like sort of help you out a bit, Mitch. And there's a couple of songs we're going to play in promotion of the Takahae to be Boo to the Year. The Morning Rumble podcast. Or as Mell's calls it. So we don't usually look at bird of the year. It might be on your news from time to time. Mell, when we announce the winner and all that sort of thing. Yeah, I bring it up and you guys pay it. So we've never really read the, again, sometimes we've done like a mystic Mitch where he's looked at what birds we are. That's right. nasty stuff. But it's taken a different turn on it. What's going on? A bit of positivity, Mitch. Yeah. A last minute, did she have it here to influence voting for bird of the year? When is it finished? Finishes this Sunday, 5 p.m. If you haven't got yourself locked in. I feel like it's something usually other stations would do.
I'm not really out. Like the breeze or something. No one could do it like we do. It's OK if see. Right answer. Now you've been in correspondence with another Takahae fan. Yeah. And why should this bird be Boo to the Year? Jamie Mahat. Somehow I got my work email and got in contact with Mell. It's not hard, bro. It's literally a Mitch Farrer made it work. Oh, no. That's a little bit of a... It's a little bit of a... So he's seen me some songs. See me some songs. The Takahae need some support. It's currently coming fifth in the vote. A ground dwelling booth. Never one booth of the year. OK. I don't know that. We're well known. He was just us. And you know, there's a lot of music check going on. Countdown stuff going on. Yeah. So what bit a... Then a Takahae themed song to promote the Takahae for Boo to the Year. No, no, no. Are you getting paid for this? No. We got two to play, do we?
We don't. First one. And I know how much Brawls loves the proclaimers. I hate the proclaimers. Take it away. I hate the blue wolf for 10 EKs. And I hate wolf for 10 EKs. Just to be the Takahae. You won't fall for the EKs. I'm on my door. Got it, got it, got it, got it. Got it, got it, got it. Got it, got it, got it. Got it, got it. You can't. They're in danger. Can't do that. No, no, no. It's zero bit of one. There it is, there it is. This one. Possibly. Holy Hicca. This one could slip into the countdown. OK. Voting heading close for the countdown. This could have slipped right in the, a blank 180-2 car, though. Take it away. OK. OK. Just wait for it. This is so rocky. I'm blue and green. Oh, got a big red beak. I have strong legs.
I can walk all week. But only little wings. So I can't fly. And then they thought we weren't extant. And that's about the time they really scoffed at me. I'll punch out they live in wild and free. And so we're still in danger from some gas species. Do we're reading all our food? I never want to be extant. What's a takahead? Free a takahead. Hey, this, they bake 180-2. They are. They are. Actually, we're going to go up. It's a good 3, 5, 2, 0. Voting closed on Sunday, 5 PM. I'm going to lose it if the friggin' carcouple wins again. 180-2 is how many are left? We want to know. Hey, that's a monumental waste of time. How to say it? Fuck no. No. You be your bird. You're in a bird. Oh, yeah. You want a bird. That's good area. What happens? You might love birds. You might hate them. That girl is. Feminist. Feminist? What? What's Feminist? What is this?
Morning Rumble podcast. So, produce some merch. If you have just joined us, last ditch effort to get your votes up for the Tucker here for Bird of the Year, which finishes on Sunday, which is we thought, OK, whatever. But we did think you and a bird what happened. And there's a story I've always told about. We had geese on the farm when I was about 10 or 11. Sorry, I was just a correctly man. Merch. My ass producer and the fella you've bought us here, which sort of annoys me anyway. Yeah. Can you put in, at least put in, free as a bird? Hmm. Look at that. Like a bird. Like a bird. Aaron Neville. Because I feel like the story that roaches about the town needs that sort of ambence and background. Did you free that? It's a well-melt. I don't think you're going to love this story. I've told the story before. So we had all these geese on our farm when I was growing up. I was like 10 or 11. And so, it's the song in here. I'm just, oh, here it is. Here we go. Like a bird. Thank you, geese for being here. Now I'm ready. Oh, that's a great question.
Probably around about 15 to 20 geese. That's a lot. And so, a bit of a nuisance on the farm. And dad didn't really want to shoot them. So, him and dad and I, real late at night. And you can get them at night, just trying to torch in their eyes and they're late. Thanks. They, um, you can just stun some. Yeah, stun some. And then we picked them up and stuffed them in sacks. Right, so they're arriving. You're doing this. Yes, yeah. You can't get them in the day. You'll get attacked. They'll go here. So, night, shine a torch in their eyes, stuns them. Coward. And you put them in a sack. We put, well, three or four in a sack each. Stuff them in the sack. And then, and bought them in the back of Dad's boot. And we drove. This is like quite late at night. And we're driving around because we want to dump them somewhere. And saw the swamp area right off the road. So, we pull on the shoulder and dad and I are getting these. Why are you fogging up? Oh, yeah, I'm actually fogging up. We're getting these gays out of the... That's crazy. I don't know if any had suffocated them, you're not sure.
But then just dump these gays in the swamp. Done. You know, job done, how good. You know what? You cheat their lives. That is farmen. That is farmen a bit. Watch your hands or that. And then the next slide. That was... Ball is here. And that means the pumpkin spice latte is back at Starbucks. It's the one we've been waiting for. So, whether you're a fan of the original pumpkin spice latte, or ready to mix it up with an iced pumpkin cream chai. The new ice pumpkin cream matcha, or the new ice pumpkin cream, shaken espresso. You can find your favorite taste of fall. Only at Starbucks. I want to share something that really caught my attention as a parent. I've learned that myopia, near-sightedness, is becoming much more common in kids. And it's not something you want to ignore. If it goes unchecked, it can have an impact that goes way beyond schoolwork. What really matters is starting with an eye exam. An eye doctor can tell you what's going on with your child's vision and walk you through options that are designed specifically for kids
like Esselaer Stelest lenses. I like that Stelest lenses are made for children and fit right into every day life. They look like regular glasses, but they're part of a more thoughtful approach to managing myopia. If you're a parent and you've been meaning to book an eye exam, this is your sign. Visit Esselaer.com to learn more about Stelest lenses and to find an Esselaer expert eye care professional near you. The week came we did that and sat in a school bus on the school bus next on Monday morning. I'm on the school bus and the route of the school bus went past the swamp. And it was like all of a sudden, everyone's like, what are those geists doing? They were there last week. They were there last week and I'm like, mommy, why isn't that one moving? It wasn't? No, not all of them. What the geist is look like, Roch? Can you hear the geist clearies? Not all of them. Not murder a geist. The killer. You're right now. The geist are in here, such a useless geist.
Yeah, well done, my mom. I was just doing my dad told me to do it. It's cruelty. That's farming though. Monsters survived. The irony is, years later, there's only three or four years later. There used to be a lot of geists around where I still live in Oriba because all their paddocks were turned into housing. So the geists used to just wander the roads. Yeah. And I was driving to work one morning and I've told you guys this. This was a few years ago. I hit one. It gets worse. In my vets, I was in my vets. It was just coming out of nowhere. Bang, hit it. It went sort of scattering down the bank. Did you actually call it? It did. Caught it driver. Even though I didn't mean to hit it, I was wet. Do you know what it was a geist? You know what they like up there, roach? You know what they like on the streets? Could have been an out of the way here. Yeah.
Could have been an old duck. Far out there. You want a bird? Whatever, no, I don't know if I'm too good. You shouldn't have said that on radio. Do roach has to give $1 to Labour? Well, we've been talking about birds, bird of the year and you and a bird. Some bird stories you've got. I had a story about the geists before if you have just joined us. Remember the controversy we had, roach? Miles was away for a couple of years. He was going to be with me. I was in a swamp land. All right, your swamp land. And Mel, you were part of the show. I was a nice guy. We started a chat about how good it would be. Well, how we'd love to try the taste of a kiwi. Yeah. And boy, I've got people unhappy. But I was like, well, let's be honest, they are useless birds. Yeah. They don't do anything. And then we, Tom made a video of a kiwi being sent to us. There was a guy who used to work for us, Tom Fernos, who was creative film genius. And he made this video of this kiwi in a chilli bun.
Yes. Oh, boy, did we get on trouble? Yeah. I find the scenes. But it turns out, people didn't find it as funny as we did. The dog. The dog could ride off it. Yeah. Well, funny, that is our national bird. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't want to miss it. Yeah, no, that's... That actually was a fake video, if you don't know that. Was it? Like a deep fake. Any text smells? Heaps. You and a bird, what happened? Great, Takae Chad earlier from Mitch Wright, just a legit fun fact from Aaron. They pooped 79 metres per day. That's great. A lot of poops. And that's why they should be bird of the year and order to Aaron and Mitch. That's not Aaron. There's a lot. Yeah, it's a lot of. Yeah, Brent got a new slug gun for his birthday. He tried to kill a magpie that's swooping on me. Says Brent. But he fell off his bike and broke his new slug gun. That's a big, big, big slug gun. And a magpie got the last laugh. You don't want them after you, man. It's a swoopy season soon. Yeah, they'll do it. They go here. Oh, they're nasty. Yeah, they go on you. Yeah, I mean, I was attacked by one.
Out of Mewdawai. Yeah. And no one came to help me. And a screaming and the neighbor was like, I couldn't tell if it was a magpie or you. You sounded the same. We'll have to be careful with our shiny foreheads. Yeah, that's why we're ahead. Even indoors. And I make it inside of you. I believe like some ranch light has opened. They'll get your mouth out of you. Oh, yeah, they'll get me roggy. Pukyko's attacked me. They smell my fear. They chased me. They picked my colleagues. Evil birds, is actually. Good luck out there, Ashley. Oh, good. Oh, that's good. I was walking my dog. Nashburden domain says Mike, off the lead. He runs and catches a duck. Yeah. Besides, to just run it straight home to right outside my front gate. And I'm chasing them. My jandles is not a good look. And then I had a cookabour, a swoop, a hot chip out of my hand. Right as I was putting in my mouth when I was a kid on a camping trip in Australia. Can you read one of the worst texts we've ever got now? Oh, no. Is this, no, is this horrible? Oh, you mean you want like a bird?
Bird on a wire. Sorry, here we go, mate. Like a bird. I was about five. Oh, no, no, no. Not this one. Oh, if Mal is a saying no. Not a budgie. Oh, these are some of my favorite avenues when we look at birds. Sorry, I can take you back. I don't know. I'm just reading the text. About five. Yeah. Breakfast before school. Had a budgie called Billy. Who would be left out of the cage and with sometimes sitting here playing and having a wee nibble? Oh, sure. And I had a wee little fella and Mum had given me my last warning about Billy flying around. And Billy flew into the window attempting a grand escape. Billy snapped its neck and nose dived straight into my wheatbicks. And I started crying and I said, Mum, Billy's in my wheatbicks. And Mum thought Billy was just having a nibble and threatened me with the wooden spoon and told me to finish my breakfast. So I kept eating blood mingling
and put the milk in the mouth. Oh, no! Right again, three again. Cryed and Mum swooped in with a few wax before she realised that it was a bird. That it was a bird with a snapped neck bleeding in my wheatbicks. I haven't eaten breakfast since. Three. Three. Three. Three. Three. I have seen one question, Quizzas, and X. Oh, I know the rock folks. Kentucky frauds. Get a bucket in here. Here we go. Mel. I'm so disturbed. How are you with that before the day? I love their eyes. Is there a scaffer in New Zealand who's allowed to travel internationally? The Morning Rumble podcast. Nadia on yesterday for the one question, Quizz, and she didn't get it. What year did Limp Biscuit release the album
significant other? Go. Three thousand and one? It's a good guess. It's a good guess, Nadia, but it's the incorrect guess. Unfortunately, sorry. The answer is 1999. Oh, so close. Oh, I'm getting it. KSC's $5,000, one question, Quizzas. She's the KSC's going to want a lunchbox for $9.99. Yes, indeed it is. Level up your lunchbox with the going to want a lunchbox as well. So that did not go. So Mel's $500 today to give away. The answer is going to be a year five seconds to answer. All righty. All righty. From the mighty upper heart, Corey, good I mates. Oh, no bad stuff. You finalized not too good there. Corey, are you there? Are you there, Corey? Hello? Yeah, I'm here. Yeah, yeah. There we go. There we go. Corey, as you've been told, throw out a year,
and that five seconds, good luck, bro. Here we go. Alperducin matches fair to say, not much of a bright spark. What year did Victor Arena now know as Spark Arena officially opened? Go. Uh, 2002. Ah, I have it. Have a great weekend, Corey. Thanks for playing. The answer was 2007. Ah, okay. Now, all good. Cheers. That's it. Thanks, Corey. You've also got a $50. You've got a KFC voucher. You've got a $50 voucher. Yes. All righty. Yeah, yeah. Awesome. Thank you. Now, you're welcome. Thanks, man. No worries. So, Red Ockchilly, people's first band to play there, I think, in 2007. Yeah. First gig. When to that, it was a terrible show. Yeah. Yeah, they were terrible, that thing. That night. No, they were. That was one of the worst interviews I've ever had in my life, John Fruciante did not want to be doing it. He was hating life. He wasn't in a good place. No, no. Uh, Anthony Keedis left the stage.
Yeah, he did. And for about half an hour, the band just jammed all the way out of the end. Totally. Third. Sounds like the trumps average. Yeah, he played the trumpet. Did he flee? Yeah, sort of. I don't know what it was going on. But yeah, that was the first gig. He's released a trumpet album. Yeah. The band. Yeah. So, there you go. It is back on Monday already, at $750 thanks to KFC. The Morning Rumble podcast. The kind of podcast you know you lawns too. Uh, so, this uh, bit of audio here. So, it's an Australian woman's rugby game. This. I know. Uh, speaking you may have seen it. It's been out a little while. So terrible terrible example here of celebrating too early thinking you've won the game Yeah, the who to win off you'll hear this who to end off one of the players Shook the ball in the air and they obviously thought who to was done But the refs got to blow the whistle. Oh, of course. Rest always got to blow the whistle. Oh, judge a time Yes, have a listen and there's the hooter Is this play on this is play on she's throwing the ball in the air
What a way to finish the game. Holy dearly. I cannot believe that The siren has gone Westwall's end of throwing the ball and Carter for break evident ran 25 meters There you go, they thought that one It was literally like picture you get planning a move, you know, footy and you just go We yep, yeah, the ball in the air but not kick it out. No nothing. No, I think not over the touch So we Get the ball and go other team got it scored celebrating too early as it happened to you Oh, I know to rock phone three phone two zero There's another case miles in a basketball game you were saying NBA 2007 Michael Ruffin of the Washington Wizards They were up three Michael Ruffin gets the ball throws it in the air thinking that the time will expire when it's in the air I can't and the who to go is and of course when the who to go is in basketball the game is over Right he didn't throw it high enough and so it came down Mo Peep
Morris Peterson from the Toronto Raptors catches it shoots a three ties the game Raptors win an overtime The Wizards lose because of Michael Ruffins silly silly play at the end of regulation What do you felt though? No, there's plenty of videos of it. There's so many examples a yeah quite a few on athletics will happen That's it. Yeah, hot dog Turning round and then all of a sudden someone just Getting mowing down a I remember in school where I read a couple of people you know like sliding for tries But it's on the five metre like you know pick and go get off the ball Like mate you're on the five metre line you're dickhead like that's not the trial line I remember in Aussie like the Aussie swim team relay team One the race legitimately won the race and the other three jumped in the pole the lane to celebrate But you can't celebrate do that until the races completed teams and so they they lost
