We are well aware of a problem that we have right now in the church, and that problem are among, I mean, there's a whole lot of problems, but one of the problems are if you are traveling or if you are just not able to go to your normal parish on a Sunday, for whatever reason, be fine to parish nearby to go to mass to wherever you are. So you go to that parish and you have no way really of knowing except by word of mouth, whether you're going to get something identifiably or something that is gravely offensive to, in general, your Catholic sensibilities where the mass is treated as a game show or a piece of entertainment, and essentially whether or not even like the entire process will be valid
because the priest might just start ad living the consecration, probably invalidating the whole thing according to the laws of the church. And so we have some of these here, let's just kind of hit the web this week. Please pray for the following priest, because this is unbelievable, I'm playing this muted because the music is probably copyrighted, but he is out there giving a blessing with holy water, and he is using the kind of piece of a gardening equipment you can buy at Home Depot or Lowe's or whatever, you normally fill the pesticide, you're out there trying to get rid of your aunt problem, and he's got to fill the holy water, he's out there spraying faithful Catholics with his with with that thing in a way that is making a clear mockery of the mass, now that's bad enough, what have I told you that you actually have a much
bigger problem than that, that's bad enough, but we this homily was given this, was given recently, and in this, the priest acknowledges himself to be a formal, he exposes himself to be a formal heretic in a live stream, hoping you can hear this, because it's not muted, but I've had some audio problems here recently, let's see, let's listen to the priest, don't call to mass to worship God, that's not what it's about, it's about sharing me this plenty of times for worshiping him and so on, that's for some other occasions, so it is a time for sharing a meal, taking up those words he used at the last supper, take this all of you and eat us, how far we have so we went from that, we had people lined along the altrails, and we're feeding them the same way, and I don't mean I need disrespect to people, but you know we have to say it, feeding people the same way as we feed animals, bringing
the Eucharist to them, putting it into their mouths the same way as to say we would feed the animals, that priest is a formal heretic, if you were at a mass and you hear that from your priest, I wouldn't probably not go up to receive communion, I wouldn't necessarily get up and start yelling at them, although if you felt inclined to do so, I'll leave that between you and God, but that priest is a heretic, that is the kind of Catholicism that Americans would feel much Americans, especially in the political right, would feel much more comfortable with, rather than those who take or faith very seriously, and who expect our faith to inform our public decisions, whether it's the kind of decisions you make when you say you are going to not shop with certain places, many Catholics who won't go to Starbucks because Starbucks has a very clear track record of, funding is a pretty questionable in evil practices, and while that kind of decision making, I'll leave to every person,
it can lead you down to kind of a weird rabbit hole where you have a hard time participating in the economic culture in general because it turns out most of these companies are evil or at least they financially support evil things, so then you got to kind of pick and choose, you got to learn how to wear it and when to pick your battles, and the church has a solution to this, has an answer, and an answer is this idea that you should buy things locally as much as possible, from your neighbors if possible, but if not then you know from local businesses, as local as you can make it for most things, not always possible or where you can do so you should do so, and there's logic to this that you don't have to be Catholic to understand, but that is one solution for that, but this priest and priest like them would much rather reduce the mass to a community meal, and denigrates what the church had always done, for more than a thousand years for the reception of the Eucharist, going back to antiquity. Let me know what you thought of all that in the comments please, and remember to pray
for anybody that we may have spoken about negatively today, not trying to make angry at people in the church with who have authority and positions of power or great influence, it's problem is people do a good enough job of that on their own, so please pray for them, it is the greatest act of charity you can do to pray for someone, especially someone you don't like, is a great act of charity and humility, and please pray for the church, and if you've thought about supporting the work we do at Return to Tradition, options in the description box below, pay it your own, subscribe.
