One year on Purim, the Khadu Shahrim shared this incredible story.
In the 18th century, there was a terrible drought.
The students at the Balshant of came pleading with him to Davenpharein.
But he said, sorry, I'm unable to unknow this decree.
Then he told him something shocking.
If he want rain, go to this well-known drunkard and a nearby town
and ask him to pray for rain.
And the students were bewildered.
What parrots feel that could he possibly have?
But they knew better than the question the holy Balshant of.
Before they left, the Balshant of warned them.
This man drinks all day long until he passes out.
The only moment he sober is right when he wakes up.
You must catch my dead exact moment before he begins drinking again
and ask him to pray for rain at that moment.
They traveled to that town and they waited.
Finally, the drunk woke up and he reached for his battle.
But they quickly stopped him.
We have a problem, they told him.
This is a terrible drought.
We need you to pray for us and you burst out laughing.
Me? Pray for you. Don't you see who I am?
I'm a drunk. I'm a nobody.
But the Balshant of sent us to you.
He said, if you pray for us, we will be helped.
And the man was done.
The Balshant of sent you to me?
That makes no sense. There must be some mistake.
But seeing this sincerely, he put down his battle
and he slowly raised his hands and he began to dive.
And immediately, the skies darkened.
Clouds gathered and rain began pouring down.
When the students returned, the Balshant of told them,
as you saw, this man is no greats addict.
But let me tell you the rest of the story.
Once, this man had 500 rubles.
He was on his way to commit a terrible affair.
Along the way, he saw poor families sitting by the road.
The parents were despondent. The children were crying.
And he was moved. He asked them what happened.
And the father said, we couldn't pay the rent.
The landlord threw us out of the home.
How much did he need? He asked.
They said 500 rubles.
It was the exact amount that he had in his wallet.
At first, he hesitated.
But then, compassion overcame him.
He handed them the money. The entire amount, 500 rubles.
It is a gift. Keep it, he said.
That single act of Sadaka created such a tremendous commotion
in Shemaim. He saved an entire family.
In response, having granted him an extraordinary gift.
Every thilla, he would ever order, would be answered immediately.
But this created a problem.
Hashem runs the world with perfect precision.
If this simple, ignorant man possessed the power to alter reality
with any prayer, the consequences could be dangerous.
So in the heavenly court, the decision was made.
This man would become a drunk.
He would live in a constant stupor.
Rarely sober enough to dabbe.
Unaware of his own power.
But the balshamt of Noah's power.
And a moment of desperate need.
He sent his students to wake in that hidden koi khatfila.
Just long enough to save Klai Israel from famine.
The Khadu Sharim explained.
This is the deeper understanding of why Khazal say,
one should become an ebriated ampurum.
ampurum, every year, receives this same tremendous koi khatfila.
The gates are wide open.
The rules are different.
The natural order bends.
But if we truly understood the power placed in our hands,
we might alter worlds.
So Khazal instituted drinking.
So that people would be distracted
and not fully activate this overwhelming power of fila.
However, if a person uses the day wisely,
the opportunity is enormous.
Khazal say, Khalapoi should not noise them by.
Anyone who extends their hand,
we give them without question.
Classically, this refers to Tsidakh ampurum.
But the balshamt of says that this applies to fila ampurum.
ampurum, anyone who stretches out their hand to a shem,
They are answered immediately.
Purum is the aunt of a hidden miracle.
It is the day when a shem alters taba.
In Shashana Sayaka we say,
Visekvasa Mahal Dharvindar.
Purum is our day of hope,
our day of Yeshua's in every generation.
ampurum, every year,
come merit the hidden miracle.
Call up or should they out noise them by.
The word call is larabas.
Any person, even a person who was not worthy,
even someone who was drunk all year long.
Whether they are pushed out,
if they plead and davan is assert fila,
and they stretch out their hand and ask for Yeshua,
even something that seemingly farfetched.
Even something that would require a miracle for it to happen.
ampurum, shem grants, even that request.
That is the power of Purum.
Have a Freilachampurum.
