Raiders Sign Dareke Young, Seahawks Lose Draft Class

On March 13th, the Las Vegas Raiders have made their first splash in free agency under

new head coach Clint Kubiak by signing wide receiver Derrickey, young from the Seattle

Seahawks.

Young wraps up a four-year stint in Seattle on an undisclosed contract, bringing his special

team's experience to the silver and black.

Drafted in the seventh round out of Lin-War Ryan, Young saw a limited action on offense

with just four catches on six targets across 42 games.

He's shown more on special teams, handling kick returns last season, with an average

of 32.2 yards per return.

One of his standout plays came in the NFC championship game against the Los Angeles

Rams, where he recovered a muffed punt to help secure the win.

Now, his exit adds to the Seahawks losses from their 2022 draft class, including players

like Kobe Bryant, Boy Mafe, Kenneth Walker, the third, and Rick Willen, that leads just

two unsigned free agents in Seattle, Limebacker Chas Serrat, who hit unrestricted free agency

and wide receiver Cody White, who wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent.
