The New York Rangers are suddenly one of the hottest teams in the league since play-resumed

after the Olympics.

They have just one regulation loss and sit on a four-game winning streak, their first since

October 2024.

A big reason is their new top line featuring Mika's even Ahad, Gay Perote and Alexis LaFranaire,

which is clicked right away and could stick.

Around for a while, Zeban Nahad has turned heads with a strong bounce back season after

two down years.

He leads the Rangers with 27 goals and 62 points in 65 games, topping his output from

the prior two seasons combined.

His all-around game, including penalty killing, looks sharp again after doubters called for

a trade.

Fans had low expectations for the team amid a tough year, but this line has brought some

excitement.

Perote, a first-round pick from three years back, has seized his shot post-break with four

goals and 10 points in seven games, boosting his season.

Totals to seven goals and 18 points in 33 outings.

He is reading play smartly and battling in tough areas despite his size.

LaFranaire has exploded too, notching seven goals and 12 points in nine games since the

break, tying him for second league-wide in goals over that.

After a slow start following a solid prior year, he is driving play like a core piece now.

This trio is among the NHL's top lines with great chemistry, each adding unique skills.

In a rough season, their success offers hope for brighter days ahead, even if it hurts

draft odds.
