The Tampa Bay Rays lose at home again this time 8-4 vs the Philadelphia Phillies. The Rays picked up a big home run in the 4th inning by Yandy Diaz to cut the lead to 3-2. It was all Phillies from there. Mason Englert got touched up for 4 runs in the 8th inning as the Phillies potent offense put this game out of reach. Zach Wheeler was great for the Phillies. He went 7 IP and did not walk a single Rays batter. This marks just the 2nd time this season Rays pitching has given up 5+ runs in back to back games.
