RAYS POSTCAST: The Tampa Bay Rays get DOMINATED by the Chicago Cubs

The Tampa Bay Rays dropped Game 2 of the series to the Chicago Cubs, 9-2, in a game that got away from them early.

 

Chicago jumped on the Rays in the second inning with a pair of RBI hits to take a 2-0 lead, then added two more in the third. By the sixth, a home run from Pete Crow-Armstrong pushed the Cubs’ lead to 7-0 and put the game out of reach.

 

The Rays showed a bit of life in the eighth when Jonathan Aranda drove in a run with an RBI double, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback.

 

Making the spot start for Drew Rasmussen, Mason Englert struggled, allowing seven hits and three runs over 3.1 innings of work.

 

Tampa Bay will look to bounce back and take the series in the finale tomorrow night.
