Cs: V chladném zimním ránu, před bránou Zoo v Praze, postávala tříčlenná rodina.
En: On a cold winter morning, in front of the Zoo gate in Praha, a family of three stood waiting.
Cs: Viktor se nervózně usmál na své děti, Anetu a Jakuba.
En: Viktor nervously smiled at his children, Aneta and Jakub.
Cs: Bylo to poprvé po delší době, co všichni tři vyrazili společně ven.
En: It was the first time in a long while that all three of them were going out together.
Cs: Viktor měl plán.
En: Viktor had a plan.
Cs: Chtěl, aby se rodina znovu spojila a našla společnou řeč.
En: He wanted the family to reconnect and find common ground.

Cs: zvolal a ukázal na obrovské skleněné okno.
En: he exclaimed, pointing at the huge glass window.
Cs: Viktor se zasmál a přikývl.

Cs: Aneta se usmála, i když letmo.
En: Aneta smiled, albeit faintly.
Cs: Když došli k výstavě medúz, místnost byla temná a tichá, plná jemně zářících tvorů.

En: "I felt abandoned."
Cs: Viktor ji nechal, aby mluvila.
En: Viktor let her speak.
Cs: Poprvé ji skutečně poslouchal, nic neříkal, pouze naslouchal.
En: For the first time, he truly listened, saying nothing, just listening.
Cs: "Mrzí mě, že jsem tě nechal cítit se tak," odpověděl nakonec.
En: "I'm sorry I made you feel that way," he finally replied.
Cs: Chvíli jen stáli, obklopeni mihotajícími medúzami.
En: They stood for a moment, surrounded by flickering jellyfish.
Cs: Bylo slyšet pouze tichý pleskot vody v nádržích.
En: Only the soft splashing of water in the tanks could be heard.
Cs: "Děkuji," řekla Aneta nakonec, jen o kousek více otevřená.
En: "Thank you," Aneta said eventually, just a little more open.
Cs: Jakub, který zatím všechno sledoval, se k nim přidružil a objal otce i sestru.
En: Jakub, who had been watching everything, joined them and hugged his father and sister.
Cs: "Chci, aby jsme byli šťastní," řekl jasně.
En: "I want us to be happy," he said clearly.
Cs: Na konci dne, když procházeli znovu branou ven, byla atmosféra lehčí.
En: At the end of the day, as they passed through the gate again, the atmosphere was lighter.
Cs: Viktor, Aneta a Jakub si slíbili, že budou více mluvit a společně trávit čas.
En: Viktor, Aneta, and Jakub promised to talk more and spend time together.
Cs: Cestou domů padal jemný sníh.
En: On the way home, gentle snow was falling.
Cs: Aneta se usmívala na otce, Jakub byl spokojený.
