Oh, opening day has come and gone.
But the feeling still lingers.
You got a scorecard, Danny Roge, kept score yesterday during the game.
Dan is in for a hearty today, and the reason that we love to have Dan, who you can see
on YouTube, if you subscribe to 985, the sports of on YouTube, the reason-
I'm showing the YouTubers.
You can see how he kept score in order to keep the demons out of his head, keep score.
But nonetheless, we love having Danny on Danny always comes with something in his back
pocket for us as something he says, don't worry about this.
I have got it planned, and then you have a game for us to play today.
So on the plane ride down on vacation last week, I sit there, but I'm not going to watch
right?
It was early in the morning, so it was quiet and everything else.
And I popped in a league of their own.
So it was nice.
So it kind of got me in a really good mood for vacation.
It's just great to watch that movie with Tom Hanks and company.
So I figured, why not a little game here?
I am going to read a line from a baseball movie, and you gentlemen just tell me which movie
it is.
It's pretty simple.
I don't think you guys are going to struggle.
I think there's once you've identified it or less, then Fred has a clip of the scene
to add context to it.
All right.
So this is Dan.
Dan loves baseball.
He's a cinephile.
All right.
Obviously, he co-signs on these movies.
He says that these are the movies that he enjoys.
Well, my question is, has there been any good baseball movies in the last decade?
I noticed that, Dan, as I was helping you compile this list like so many of these are
from like the, there was this kind of 80s and 90s renaissance of baseball movies.
Like they're all from a very similar era for the most part.
Yeah.
They don't really make movies that aren't superhero movies or sequel anime to films
anymore.
So you're going to find anything.
They barely make comedies anymore.
And usually a baseball movie, you would think half of them would have to be at least have
a comedic aspect.
And that seems to be something no one's interested in making it.
What's the best movie you've seen lately, Fred?
I told you when you asked me for your flight, that black bag, I watched that.
Now did you like that?
I did.
Yeah.
That was the best movie I saw in the theater last year.
Have you watched that new one with Ryan Gosling?
Have you gone to see that?
No, I haven't been in the movies that much this year.
Yeah.
Um, what did I see?
Did I see anything that I liked this year?
I'd have to, I'd have to go to my list.
I have a list on my phone.
Please text me later.
I will.
I gave you black bag.
Yes.
I did think that black, and now look, black bags are not the best movie I've ever seen.
But it's it, but I thought it was better than like Marty's supreme and stuff.
I saw Marty's supreme.
That movie was okay.
I won one battle after another.
I thought it was okay, too, but I thought black bag, black bag was better than that.
All right.
All right, Danny.
Let's get to the game.
Here we go.
Here's your first line from a movie.
Simple.
I told them that a player on a streak has to respect the streak.
A bull Durham.
I'm going to say.
All right.
I'm going to say that's bull Durham.
Let's find out.
I know.
I'm telling you.
I never thought of him to stay out of your bed.
I never told him to stay out of your bed.
I told him that a player on a streak.
Has to respect the streak.
A fine.
You know why?
They don't happen very often.
A fine.
If you believe you're playing well because you're getting laid or because you're not getting
laid or because you wear women's underwear, then you are.
There it is.
A little too sexual for me, but it was good.
That's the quote you picked.
I know.
Well, Adam provided the clip itself.
I helped out.
Yes.
Well, what about that?
Did you like, was it the wearing the women's underwear?
Respect the streak.
Did you, but it was very randy.
Did you, do you believe that's true that when people have sex, let's go to the next one.
Okay.
What if you're on the road?
Do you remember Mark Grace used to say, slump us?
That was going to say that does Dan, Dan, you know what a slumpbuster is?
So Dan, so the slumpbuster, no, this was on the gym room show.
Okay.
And gym room was crazy.
What is up?
Tell us about the slumpbuster and Mark Grace said, well, if I was having a slump, I
would have sex with an overweight woman.
Now how he achieved this, I don't know, but he said he would go out as it was just simple
as going out and finding an overweight woman have sex with, but this is what he told
gym room.
And then gym room answered, epic, rack that.
What is up?
Now we're going to the email gym.
I'm going to get fired.
I am spitting oatmeal all over my keyboard.
Slump us.
Epic fat chicks.
What's up with Gracie and the fat chicks?
Scalebreakers.com used to take you to Joe Murray's Twitter page.
It may still.
I don't know if it does anymore.
I haven't checked.
Why does no one?
Why does no one own the domain name scale busters or scale breakers or whatever I said?
All right.
What's next, Dan?
All right.
This is from a 1993 movie.
You play ball like a girl.
Oh, that is Sam.
Yes.
Watch it.
Shut up.
Idiot.
More on.
Scabbyer.
Watch never.
Puss liquor.
Bart smeller.
You play ball like a girl.
I think my son when he was in Mono League Baseball had sat all night and drank at a bar
with squins.
There's nothing better to do in Everett Washington.
I would take his squins with doing an appearance at the minor league party.
Yes.
Said it was cool.
Well, there you go.
Awesome.
All right.
Next one, boys.
I'd like you to meet your new picture.
Okay.
That is from the bad news.
Yes.
That's Tatum O'Neill arrives.
Right.
Okay.
So let's hear.
I don't like it.
What do you think?
Yeah.
Catfish hunter.
Who's he?
I like it.
I made sure.
No.
Amanda Wirlich.
And now a girl.
Grab it.
Tunk.
All right.
Do you remember what gets bleeped out there?
Dan, what is he saying here because I'm not familiar?
You picked the quote.
It says.
Amanda Wirlich.
Yeah.
And now a girl.
Grab it.
Tunk.
This room.
What is he saying?
I know.
Why is that the light you saw?
I don't know.
Just a.
Again, we had to bleep it out because it is a slur against African Americans, a slur
against Hispanic people and a slur against Jewish people.
All right.
They're Wirlich.
And now a girl.
Grab it.
Tunk.
Oh, Dan.
Mm-hmm.
Why would you even bring that back into the sky, guys?
All right.
Next time.
His favorite movie.
Every time.
With the N word.
Every time.
You walked this up from.
From an 11 year old.
Every time we win.
It's just almost like propaganda.
Every time.
We feel like that.
To bring that back up.
Every time we win.
And then.
We feel essentially.
Not to mention all the Mexican Americans listening to this.
I mean, that's got to be something.
Tanner was at Tanner that.
That was Tanner Boyle.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Very much so.
Any time we win under the.
Under the.
Under the.
Under the.
We've been on.
Fred.
Family entertainment.
Fred.
We've moved on.
And Dan goes.
I got a game.
And Dan goes.
I've listened to this though.
Dan goes.
I got a game for you.
Find every movie with the N word.
Wow.
Wow.
That's very.
We'll play.
And have fun and get the mess.
Goodness.
Dan would have enjoyed Masters invite to your white supremacy that we played a couple of
weeks ago.
Thank you.
I don't even know if he could have handled.
I would have gotten everything right.
Yeah.
Constantly watching.
Birth of a nation.
Every time.
We win.
We peel a section.
No.
That's of course major.
Major.
Okay.
We're doing very well.
I don't know.
Give us the line.
Freddie.
Give them the heater.
Ricky.
I don't know what racism.
This is going to have.
Everything seems overtly sexual.
The racist.
The Dan is picked.
But nonetheless.
We move on.
I figure is going to take 32 more victories to win this thing.
Every time we win.
We peel a section.
And that's the female owner who without her consent, they have a life size photo of
and they're taking clothes off as an incentive to the people.
That's all wrong, Dan.
Ready?
Interesting, Dan.
These are all things that got him in the mood to go to Florida apparently.
Pitchers got a big butt.
Oh, well, I mean, you would know that.
Rookie of the year.
That's a Johnny Walgain special.
Yeah.
And it's true.
John was in the theater and stood up in cheer.
Whoo!
And they said, you know what I mean?
Yes!
Whoo!
Henry Rowling Gardner called me the rubber.
And stand on me.
Call my face the rubber.
And stand.
Play the clip.
Pitcher, bitcher, bitcher, bitcher.
Pitcher's got a big butt.
Pitcher's got a big butt.
Pitcher's got a big butt.
Pitcher's got a big butt.
You know that he has, that John has a suffocation fantasy where he's smothered?
No.
And they're worried.
And now a girl, wrap it up.
All right.
Ready?
Next one.
He has a good one, two, three, four, five.
You're five for five.
Five for five, Fred.
Okay, cowgirls.
See the grass?
Don't eat it.
Okay, so that is someone sitting on a guy, a guy facing.
I actually know this one.
Right?
Because reverse is when you're looking at their back.
Good, Johnny.
That's a league of their own, Fred.
All right.
Dan wants a league of his own.
Yes.
Do not allow black.
Play the clip, Freddie.
Dan goes back.
I remember when there was a league of our own.
No Jews.
Oh, that's what Dan says.
Play the clip, Freddie.
Hey, cowgirls.
See the grass?
Don't eat it.
See, what are you calling fat?
Yeah, like their cows.
Yeah.
Come on.
Okay, girls.
This is it.
Harvey Field.
Try out.
Get out there.
Show what you got.
Don't embarrass me.
It's been a thin slice of heaven.
All right.
All right.
Next one.
Next one.
Maybe you shouldn't swear so much.
No, this one.
You know this one?
It's stumper.
It's not the natural.
No.
And we've been through major league and the like.
Yeah.
Maybe you shouldn't swear so much.
For the tougher one.
It's not heaven's gate.
That was football.
No.
What is a baseball movie that Johnny that we're not thinking of?
Bang the drum slowly.
I don't know what's a good one.
Is it Philadelphia?
Is it something?
Is it something?
Is it from Philadelphia where you missed the point?
And it's really about the AIDS crisis?
What?
It's not Schindler's list or something.
Is it Dan?
That was Denzel Washington in the courtroom.
I know, right?
I don't understand.
God, play the clip.
Ready?
You guys got it?
Strike!
Strike!
Come on.
Now that's no strike.
If that was the strike, then you'd better go.
You know, it's been four minutes and no real angels.
And you know, I was just thinking, maybe you shouldn't swear so much.
Angels in the outfield.
Oh, car wash, I was going to say.
Yeah, Danny Glover.
Yes.
Come on, Freddie.
I've never seen Angels in the outfield.
Never seen Angels in the outfield.
Tony Danzer is the picture at the end.
That's the best.
Mounder.
All right.
Last one.
That ruined a perfect record, Fred.
Well, I've never seen Angels in the outfield.
I have.
Why would I go into Angels in the outfield?
I watched this one on the ride home, in the plane ride home.
Do you believe that-
Is losing fun?
That God can manipulate things, because if he's manipulating the outfield for the angels,
isn't he also like causing train racks?
Next one.
Is losing fun?
Then what are you having fun for?
Oh, I know this one.
Less than zero.
No, no, I got this one.
It just popped in my head.
That's money ball.
All right.
I have seen money ball, but I am too lost in the-
They put money in the balls.
That's right, Julie, guys.
I get too lost in the fact that Brad Pitt plays Billy Bean.
Right.
And that there's a scene while during the game, he's just lifting.
Yeah.
It's the most unnecessary-
I get it.
He's not watching the game, because it doesn't matter, because it's all based on analytics.
And he does what he gets bogged down in like how it looks, but to just show him-
It couldn't just show him like driving around or walking.
It had to show him lifting weights.
And like Billy Bean's no, you know, Casanova.
All right.
Here we go.
Is losing fun?
No.
What do you have fun for?
That's Dan knocking down all the crosses.
They had set up to put him people's lawns.
That's what this is.
That was a short that Dan was in in the 20s called Clumsy Dan.
And they would put him in different circumstances and that one he goes through.
He goes to the clan meeting.
And he slips on an oil slick.
And this was so supposed to be such a pure game for Adam.
He ruined it.
He goes, yeah!
Dan, he's getting chased by all the guys in the hoods.
I'm fine.
Okay.
You know?
All right.
It's a silent film.
They have little plaques.
Everything's great.
Like Larry, what's going on?
It was the old Clumsy Dan.
It was added again.
You're not going to bring me down.
Dan, that was a wonderful game.
We had a little bit of fun.
Everybody went to the extreme again.
You're not going to break your stride.
Right.
Thank you, John.
Ain't nothing going to break his stride.
No, no.
No, no.
Oh, no.
You got to keep on moving.
Yes.
We're going on to tomorrow.
Four, ten.
Sonny Gray.
Oh, Red Sox play.
Right.
You're going to, you know, in WBZ TV today tonight.
Thanks, Fred.
Yeah.
There's the two best games.
Hey, Johnson Duke at seven, ten, and then at nine, forty five Michigan state.
And you con and right after that at midnight, the WBZ news.
I'll be on.
You'll be on it midnight tonight.
Yes.
We're a little late because of NCAA programming because I was feeling bad.
Sorry for myself because I'm getting a tooth put in it noon, which is terrible times on a Friday.
But you'll be working at midnight tonight.
Are they taking the other one out and putting a new one in?
No, they've taken the other one out already.
So there again, they're going to put that in today.
All right.
But it, it shouldn't be painful.
It should take a very long time.
I deal with that.
Oh, I had a root canal for the first time.
Oh, it's brutal.
It was the worst, the worst.
Yeah, if there was any excuse to knock me out.
Yes.
I would have let them knock me out, but it's not worth the expense because I don't think it's going to take that long.
I think it's going to take like an hour.
The extraction and putting in the bone.
They're like, it's going to be like two hours.
And then I'm like, well, you got to knock me out.
I'm not sitting there for two hours when you can knock me out, but it's expensive.
Yeah.
How's your dentist?
Nice.
Yeah, this is an oral surgeon.
It's not the dentist.
I mean, this is a, I mean, this is a $13,000 procedure that we're going through right now.
Wow.
I've told you that, Johnny.
I didn't, I've forgotten the number.
Yeah.
It's a $13,000 procedure.
My dentist is awesome.
Yeah.
Well, my dentist, I, I don't know how great my dentist is.
The second tooth I've had to put in again, it was rotting the last one.
It had cracked underneath the gum line.
It was rotting.
And they said, if you don't get it out, you could, you know, you could die and to, you know,
can turn into like a serious staff infection and die.
A lot of diseases start in the mouth.
Yes.
So that's why it's very important that you go to the dentist.
Yep.
Mine's a, mine's a son won a national championship.
It'd be you.
My dentist son.
In what?
Rocky.
Oh.
Okay.
John McCarty.
John McCarty.
Is that funny?
No, I don't.
Of course, we all remember Jonathan McCarty.
It'd be you.
All right.
We'll be back.
Don't, don't insult us.
That was a good game.
Yeah.
That was a great game, John.
John, my name's Dan.
Your name's Dan.
Cedric Maxwell is going to join us.
Awesome.
Okay.
We'll have fun.
All right.
Cedric will join us.
We'll be right back.
Jack Ball.

Let's see what Carla from Auburn has to say.
The biggest thing that I received out of this Awakened 180 program was that I was able to get a best friend.
And when I say that, I mean the person that I look to in the mirror every morning.
I would walk by the mirror and not look.
Now, the Awakened 180 program has given me the ability to look in the mirror, smile, and actually enjoy and appreciate the person I am.
I went from, you know, 301 down to 213.
I've lost 84 pounds with Awakened 180.
84 pounds, and Carla did it just under four months, and those results, buddy.
Are the results you'll get with Awakened 180.
Doing what Carla did, what I did, Greg Bedard, Dr. Laura Carmen, and everybody else has done it.

Cedric Maxwell, you know him from his excellent work on the 985 Sports Hub Celtics Radio Network,
where the Celtics will be taking on the Atlanta Hawks tonight at 730 at the Garden.
Cedric Maxwell, hello, sir.
Hello, gentlemen.
How are you guys doing?
You got my favorites in there, Rochi and Johnny Baseball.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
What a day it's going to be.
I noticed one thing about our shows.
Repeatedly, they show, you know, copies of it.
I think I'm going to have to be Jackie Robinson.
I'm going to have to break the color line one day.
All I see is white men, white men, white men.
I'm going to have to come in one day.
Anytime you want to come in, Max.
I'm going to do that.
I'm going to do that.
I'm going to check with Mary.
Find out, you know, about coming in and make sure I can be on the show one day.
Yeah.
You feel like you have to check with management to make sure they'll let you in the building.
You can do that.
You know, you can't be too careful.
You're afraid to alarm Michael off?
What's the problem?
He's afraid so we might call the police, obviously.
You don't cross the color line just like that.
Right.
I'm sorry.
Absolutely.
Well, listen, no one can say you don't have a plan, sir.
And we would love to obviously have you in studio.
Did you get to hang out with me?
I think I'm bringing my broadcast partner into Sean Rodney.
Oh, good.
He'll be a barrel of laughs.
He should.
I'm sure he would come in willingly.
He's always willing in the morning today.
He's a very, he's a morning person.
He's a party animal.
Yeah.
What do you want out of the guy?
Did you get to see Robert Parrish last week?
You were on.
Yeah.
Did you get to see him?
I did.
I saw him again at the game.
He was there Wednesday night at the OKC game.
And you know, he was he's still doing his book tour.
And he had he's had a great time here in New England.
And he enjoyed being on the year show the other day.
He talked about it with me.
He said, man, I had a great time.
He said, we knocked it out the park.
Other than the other than the S word, he shot out a couple times.
I was, I was low.
Well, listen, what do you want out of the guy?
He's not a professional broadcaster.
But for you, like being a part of all these things that are being told by others in that,
you know, there's documentaries in your random and people talking about things that you were involved in,
but it's not your voice.
When you read books and you're mentioned in them, but it's not in your voice.
What's that?
What's that like for you?
Do you run out and like consume it?
Do you not want to see it?
How do you react to that kind of stuff?
No, I think it's really cool when you think about other people.
You were influencing a book or you influenced a moment in somebody's life.
And that's why I'm so appreciative when people come up to me and tell me stories,
except when they tell me, oh, man, 1986, you were great on the self.
It's, I loved you being like, hey, but oh, I was traded.
I wasn't around.
But other than that, man, it's such, it is really an honor, you know, when I think about it.
And it's, people really funny, it's, you know, like today, tonight at the game,
there'll be people coming up, oh, man, I loved you this morning.
Some people are dialing in Friday to hear us and my, my die tribe about, you know,
some of the things that I like and you guys like.
Yeah. Well, I'll tell you the same thing happened to Gorman.
Is he would come on the show every week and then he would get to the arena
and people would talk about his appearance on the show.
But yeah, you do a great job.
We love having you on.
When you're, so you say like you, but there's so many famous people that are from Boston.
They all leave, but they are from Boston and they're big Celtics fans.
And they grew up while you were a great player on the Celtics.
Do you do like celebrities reach out to you and stuff?
Yeah. Yeah.
You know, the wallbergs, you know, who are around at that time.
The most of the kids from new addition, you know, been around them.
Other people haven't like, there's a bill.
Where's Bill Murray?
Bill, no, not Bill Murray.
Bill Burr. Bill Burr.
Bill Burr. Yeah.
I have never, I've never met him, but I've heard people talk about him and him saying something about me.
So there's some really cool moments when I think about being with the Celtics
and how I've influenced other people.
I'm selling certain that they wanted the best comments or that I think I've ever had.
Compliments I've ever had.
I probably was in a video that the Celtics won the championship in 1981.
Went to the White House.
Whatever reason, I wasn't there.
I think I was either getting married or something was happening, but I wasn't there.
And Ronald Reagan, the president at that time, was speaking.
And he said, well, the Celtics are really great.
And Cedric Maxwell said, I was like, damn, I said, that was one of the coolest things.
I said, when I have it, president of the United States echo in my name.
And that was really cool.
Mask, did you feel that way as a player?
Like, you know, you look at today's sports players and what have you.
There's so much attention on them.
Did you feel that when you were playing as opposed to now when you just go as the voice of the Celtics?
How were you looked at back then as a player?
Was it easy for you?
Was it difficult? Were you in the spotlight?
What was that like?
It wasn't as difficult back then because, you know, we just, we, we, no social media like that.
So you could have those public things you could do out.
And then somebody would see you and they would say, say something to somebody else.
But it wasn't on tape.
So you weren't blown up the way you are now.
So I think it was really, it's really different during that time.
You could go out to a restaurant and eat.
But right now since everybody has a camera in their hands,
you know, you're, you're pretty much fair game anytime.
And I've heard people tell me different things like last week when we were talking and I was talking to Robert Parrish
and he was telling me about some guy came up to me and said, I knew you.
I saw you when Bill Walton took you to the Grateful Dead concert.
I said, but whole that was Robert Parrish.
Well, in fairness, it was a unicorn situation.
It's a dodged bank classic here in Boston.
And this guy said, oh, I saw you at the doctor.
Yeah.
No, I wasn't there.
It's no, no, no.
I have a picture of you at the doctor.
I'm saying, dude, I wasn't there.
He said, I'm going to get the picture.
He comes back and go, oh, my bad man.
That was Walton McCart.
I feel like you call a lot of people.
Wow, there's an age gap there between you.
I think it's worried.
That's just like throw anyone out there.
I saw a tall black guy.
That was exactly how that went.
There was a tall black guy.
And I know it was you.
And I saw him there.
And when he comes back and said, oh, I'm sorry.
That was Walton McCart.
Okay.
Thank you.
But the worst thing about social media with these athletes,
and we're going to get to a story at nine o'clock,
is that apparently they've done studies in people,
even if they see something on social media that they know is not true,
it sort of doesn't even matter.
So there's no criminal or civil charges involved.
And there's no real trouble to be had.
People will see it.
There's something about Shaq that we'll get to about,
like that he went into Supreme of Carpenter's DMs.
And people will see it and they'll go, that's obviously fake,
but it sort of doesn't matter because they still associate you
with the thing that wasn't true.
So it sucks.
I mean, basically the bottom line is it sucks.
It really does.
And sometimes it's scary to people because it was the event
that happened to me a couple of, about a month ago,
when it was on Facebook and said that my prayers,
this is said you're Maxwell.
And at this time, my son was saying, look,
we need privacy to the family.
Well, Robert Parrish's sister saw that and called Robert up
and said, oh, your boy, Max, he's in critical condition
of Miami in the hospital.
It's like, and Robert tried to call me.
He told me that story last week and said,
I tried to call you, man.
And when the voicemail, he said, I was screwed up
because I couldn't reach you.
And so the way these things come up now
and the way they affect people really isn't fair.
It's not fair to people that you can't be responsible.
You're not responsible for things, the content you put out.
And that is wrong.
Yeah, I agree.
And the funniest thing that Robert Parrish said about
on air when he heard about you being on your dust door,
he said, you know, it ruined my day.
And he's like, oh, well, I didn't mean to ruin your day
with my dad.
Just the way he put it was so funny.
Like, you can tell, he's obviously a good guy
and you guys are really good friends,
but you can tell he's kind of cool.
Because the way he put it, he wasn't like crying
like after the championship game or something.
He was, he was just like, it ruined my day.
He didn't want to get too happy with the idea.
I do.
I love when he says the name Sederick.
That's what he normally calls it.
He ain't a Sederick.
He's a lot of syllables in there.
I didn't think my mom gave me that book.
He said, well, listen, you named him.
He can name you anything you want.
Yeah, okay.
All right.
So the Celtics beat the Thunder, a fully healthy Thunder team.
Yeah.
Does that mean something to you?
It did.
Yeah.
It means that something can compete at the highest level.
You know, because the champs, you know,
had almost everybody there.
J. Will, one of their better players,
he was just coming back from injury.
But you still talking about the Celtics beating them here
and beating them with voodish.
And I think that the heads up matchup were brown,
really an SGA.
That was a great matchup to see.
And then you can see,
if I bit scary here to see Tatum coming back,
taking those baby steps,
there'd be some failures.
There'd be some trips.
But what you see every single night
is just like to see them feel more and more like Jason Tatum
and make moves like Jason Tatum before he had the injury.
I'm looking at Jalen Braun consistently getting to the foul line.
And it kind of dates back from when he explained,
forget what game it was where it was really upset
that he wasn't getting any foul calls.
But it seems that the referee's league wide
were listening somewhere or shape.
Well, I think that he's making more of a concerted ever
to get to the basket.
And I mean, you can make calls almost every time the NBA now
with the handshacking.
It was one time for about four or five years.
It didn't allow you to handshake.
Now, it's getting more physical.
I like it.
And I've said this about Brown and Tatum.
I've said until one of those guys got nasty
against the opposition.
That's what's going to win the championship.
The last couple of years, Brown has got nastier.
I see Tatum with some nastiness about him to the opposition.
And that's a real good thing for this team
if they're going to go to the next level.
With that win, Max, what do you want to see out of
they have a busy schedule in the next two weeks?
You guys play like every other day nonstop.
What do you want to see as they get ready for this playoff?
Roachie, I just love your voice.
It's such a television voice when you talk.
It's like, what would you like to see there, Max?
And he's like, you guys, when you guys play like,
it's just great.
I was expecting you to go like, I don't know if you know this, Dan,
but I'm not going to be playing a butthole.
What do you want to see out of this down the stretch?
Yeah.
What I want to see is, first of all, I want to just be healthy.
And then get an opportunity to get boots back in.
You know, the hand is starting to heal.
You'll need him in the playoffs to go down the stretch.
You know, I love to see and I haven't seen lately.
I'd like to see Joe probably play a little bit more of Jordan Walsh.
A little bit more.
He hasn't been a factor in the game.
And I think you're going to need him defensively.
But Joe is, I'm not checking what he's saying.
I just said what I would like to see because I think Jordan gives you
another big out there that can defend the initial point of attack.
Probably as good as anybody else's have.
So I would like to see that Tatum continue to progress.
Neeming playing well.
I mean, I still don't know what, you know, they're doing so many things.
They're doing it well that is, you know, it's just a big cake
watch to play right now.
Yeah.
It seems like they could be a danger in the playoffs.
Sedric Maxwell tonight.
He'll be calling the game for Sean Grande.
That's right.
The Grande.
The big one.
You can.
And when you see, right.
And when you see Sedric at the arena, tell him you enjoy him on the show and completely ignore Sean.
That's the way.
Sedric wants it.
And that's the way he wants all the praise.
Come on Craig.
Yeah, he's praising his infections.
Fe гром essa.
Good.
Ed 5, quote,icas.
What's going on here?
As we said, Sarra defer to مثletdown DRyan of Mexico.
God, thank you all right.
Thanks Joe.
Thank you all garden Cedric.
Thank you as always.
So we'll talk to you next Friday.
All right.
I tell him how it goes.
See you later.
Ahh, man.
Zaeаша.
Deal.
Although wait.
I'm going to do it a little later.
But what.
Nice.
Bye.
Okay.
Chaos.
Since weather that would be unnecessary.

Hey, so it's shaking things up a bit.
No formal intro.
Let's see what Carlo from Auburn has to say.
The biggest thing that I received out of this awaken 180 program
was that I was able to get a best friend.
And when I say that, I mean the person that I look to in the mirror every morning,
I would walk by the mirror and not look.
Now the awaken 180 program has given me the ability to look in the mirror,
smile and actually enjoy and appreciate the person I am.
I went from, you know, 301 down to 213.
I've lost 84 pounds with awaken 180.
84 pounds of Carlo didn't just under four months and those results, buddy.
Are the results you'll get with the awaken 180?

What do you want to see as they get ready for this playoff?
That road changes love your voice.
It's such a television voice.
What would you like to see there next?
I thought you sounded good.
Usually I get that.
Thanks, buddy.
Usually he saves that for me.
So I'm glad you were sitting here.
You took some of the fire.
Dan is in for Hardy today.
Yesterday opening day, of course, for Major League Baseball.
If you don't count the Netflix affair, that was a lot of fun.
And again, the arguments for and against Netflix were asinine.
The Netflix bar against was bad, you know?
Yeah, you heard me, obviously, but it's funny.
It's like it was on Netflix.
Well, you have Netflix.
It was the first thing you had it when they were delivering DVDs.
This is not something that's impossible to deal with.
But then that they were doing it for the youth.
I found very funny because that's stupid.
Because it's not like your kids are addicted to Netflix.
And they can't get enough Netflix.
That's not how they're getting their media.
Now, there might be a show or something.
I'm sorry, I was eating.
There might be a show or something that they enjoy on Netflix.
But it's not like that's any different than watching something
on whatever medium you choose.
They somehow they only know Netflix.
So that was dumb.
And then the broadcast between a comedian that's older than me
through in the introduction,
then the back and black from 1980,
everything about it wasn't geared towards kids.
So it's money, that's all.
It's all money.
It's not to get the new audience.
It's not to do anything.
I mean, they opened up when they would open up in Japan
two weeks before anyone else and play it four o'clock in the morning.
That was obvious.
They were trying to grow the game overseas.
And there's so much money to be made in Japan,
just ask the Dodgers that autonomy contracts,
like paying for it itself and then like triple that.
But don't give me that with the Netflix thing.
But did you watch the world baseball classic?
Yes.
Now I did too.
Now why did you watch?
It's because of a fan of baseball.
Okay.
Now did you now I watched because I couldn't wait
for the United States to lose?
Yeah.
And I picked minutes.
I did a bracket before.
You did a really?
And I picked Venezuela to win the whole thing.
You did?
Yes.
Was there any reason for that?
I thought they were good.
I thought they were better than people gave credit for.
And but the thing was and I thought, okay,
well, I'm just a dick and I don't like things.
And this is why I don't like the United States.
And then I started reading and hearing this consensus
from people that they just did not like that team,
which gave me faith in the people of the United States.
That it was obvious what that team was doing
is they were leveraging patriotism
to try to build their own, their own egos.
Even if they didn't know they were doing it,
they were doing it.
Right.
They were trying to ride the momentum
of the US women's men's and hockey team.
Bryce Harper is really really difficult to root for.
Okay.
So Bryce Harper bothers me for a myriad of reasons.
One is he's going to be responsible for this,
is responsible as anyone for the shutdown
of baseball if it happens next year.
The idea that Rob Manfred was in the clubhouse
of the Phillies and Harper comes in
like he owns the place and starts screaming at Manfred
that there's going to be no F and salary cap.
Okay, of course you don't want to,
you don't want a salary cap because you are the elite.
You are one of the guys that makes $30 million a year.
How about everyone else in that clubhouse
that's not making a million dollars
or making one 30th of what you're making
that that could like you're,
he just acts like he's speaking for the country.
He's speaking like now he's Captain America
because he's on because he's playing
in some exhibition baseball tournament.
Like they're almost willing it to be something
that the whole country like it means something.
They're talking about the troops
and how it means something to troops.
Get out of here.
You're building yourself up
and so by losing,
my feeling was, well,
you built yourself up into this huge thing.
So if you won, you could parade around.
They partied after they beat great Britain.
They couldn't even get it together to play the next game.
I mean, imagine that.
They came patting themselves on the backs
about beating great Britain,
going out and partying.
You want to go on party party.
But don't use it as excuse
that you beat great Britain.
So now therefore by losing,
now guess what, now eat it.
If it meant so much to the country that you won,
you didn't.
So now you've devised in your mind,
you should think that you've devastated the country,
that you did something you'll never be able to recover from.
I mean, just, uh,
and then you go into the regular season.
Rover, of course, that's it.
Because no one really cared.
But I agree with you for I think what when he's happened
is the egos need to go aside here.
And I think, you know,
Scott Boris is going to drive the bus for no salary cap.
The high paid players are going to drive the bus.
We've talked about this before.
The best thing for the sport right now
would be a salary cap and a floor and a ceiling.
And it would just work for and you can't tell me
that if you go into a room with 25 baseball players
and you address them as a union,
that you can't sit there, come down with factual evidence
to say guy number 25 salary is going to go up.
This is going to be better for the game.
This is better for competition, for parity and what have you.
You can't convince me that they wouldn't say to these 25 guys.
This is best for you guys long term.
Let's get it done.
You can't convince what happened.
There's not a logical argument to be made
that the majority of baseball players wouldn't vote for a floor.
If it was done on a on a revenue sharing basis,
like in that if baseball makes this amount of money,
this is like how the other leagues work
when the cap goes up,
like in the NHL or the NBA,
like, you know, or the NFL,
when the cap goes up based on income from the league
and you say you get this percentage of income.
And it, but we're going to guarantee you this much.
There's a floor.
There was a guy on my son's baseball team
with Frisco Roughriders when he was the AA level
who got called up to the big leagues for three days.
And when he got the call, he was in tears in tears
because he could help his family
by getting paid for three days big league pay.
And when he came back,
he said it was the greatest thing for him,
the greatest thing for his family.
And he was just as giddy as can be.
That's an example of what needs to happen in baseball.
Even the minor leagues need to go up in the price
that they're, they're getting paid too.
It's just, it's part of what should be done
and the right thing.
And it won't get beat, get done
because the high price players and the agent Scott Boris
are going to drive the bus to get no salary cap.
Well, some is going to be done
because no one wants to go a year without getting paid
or make it money.
Well, it's sitting with an empty ballpark on your hand.
It's the old billionaires versus billionaires.
You would think the owners have a far deeper pockets
to wait things out and the players do.
Well, especially with the players
that aren't making nearly as much money.
I don't know, if I have a $2 billion building
and I can't, and I'm supposed to fill it up
and sell concessions for, you know,
for 30,000 people 81 times a year
and then, and it's just sitting there empty.
But everyone except the meds and the Dodgers wants this.
Yeah, right.
Well, yeah, so it should be the med,
the only people against this should,
on this owner side should be the meds and the Dodgers.
And the only players that should be against it
are Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper and the like.
You know, if I'm Tarek Scubo,
I really don't want to stop.
Yeah, no kidding.
Because, but that's Tarek Scubo.
If I'm, just go look at the Yankee salaries.
That's all you got to do.
Just pull up the Yankee salaries
and see the discrepancy.
The vast majority of that team's making less than $2 million.
It's, and then you got Giancarlo Stan
who's making tens of millions of dollars and he's terrible.
He doesn't want that.
He's been terrible now for a while
and he's still signed for another two or three years.
That's a scary thing.
So Danny, Danny Roach, who's in today,
he's got a, he was at a big thing.
Also, I was mentioning to Cedric,
there are things, false things on the internet about athletes.
And this is a perfect example of it.
We'll be back in just a moment.
