1:00They have had a really good run of things against Spencer R. Getty. I feel like the offense today got hot early on and on a day where it was brutal, miserable. I mean, it was miserably hot. I went on a walk earlier today. It was miserable outside. It felt like 103 on the field is what they said in the pregame. I have to imagine the Royals and Blue Jays both just wanted to get the heck out of there as fast as possible. And the offense did everything they could to make that possible for the Royals. This is what you'll be talking about. It was not a lineup that I was particularly excited to see in action. But first three batters of the game lead to three runs in several press. It's a home run later. They get some good base running out of any pass. Maintino on a ball hit on the screws by Nick Lofton. And that was all the offense. The Royals really needed. Today was a day where the lineup was. I have to imagine that, you know, I didn't watch last night's game.

2:02I have to imagine that Carter Jensen might have needed a day off. They were not facing a lefty. But with how hot it's been. And it was miserable last night as well. I have to imagine it was a discussion like, hey, you're going to get a day today because they play in tomorrow. I can't remember when they play tomorrow if it's if it's another evening game or if it's a as it was actually supposed to be night games night. What's like to play at one 10 tomorrow. So they are going to need to get him some rest. They're going to need to get him a day off. I would not want him out here out there today and tomorrow. I think the lineup I thought that seeing John Raven Lee, the late off spot was an ice-solt tip of the cap. He'd been OK recently. He'd been having a power search hit a home run last night, I believe I saw. So it was good to see him get an opportunity up up in the lineup where they really, I mean, there was no cackleon, no Jensen. Cackleon continues to have issues with his arm and in the health. It's another reason why when the Royals are either down, when the Royals are down big and everybody's like,

3:02why not get Jack cackleon in their throw. The guy can't stay healthy every time he throws from the outfield he hurts his arm. So the Royals had a JV lineup out there today. Again, Star Getty, who I don't think is all that great, had a really good day. It was a hot day. The Royals were able to take advantage of that. They had a couple of balls. I mean, Bobby hit, I thought Bobby would junior out a really good day at the plate today. I think he had a good day all around. He was really good in the field. I think all around, I mean, this was a really impressive win for the Royals. They hit the ball well early. There was a lot left to be, there was a lot left on the bone late. They had a basis loaded opportunity there after the ball from the loft and they got hit and Luke Melee couldn't get a job done. But Luke Melee's not a guy that I'm really evaluating. He's just a guy that has catchers gear that plays in the organization. They need a guy like him that can give a day off the Carter Jensen because Bobby's not catching really at all anymore. So to have him there in the lineup is obviously a black hole. It's kind

4:03of where innings go to die. He didn't have a terrible game at the plate today, but he got thrown out on the bases. He went over. He's hitting 148 right now. I think is what I saw. So the lineup was not great, but the Royals offense had a couple of really impressive innings where they put together good stuff. Looking at the overall numbers, I'm pulling a box for anger. I'd like to see what they were going to score in position today because it felt like they were really solid. Three for nine. That's not super great. It's not going to, it's not going to win you a shootout. But in a day like today where the Blue J's foot didn't have much going, that's really going to do it. That's going to do the job. And they got early offense. Vinnie Passman Tino seeing him hit that home run. It feels like he's starting to find a little bit of a swing. I thought he had a really good week this week. I think that they're starting to get better. They just need to stay healthy. That's my biggest thing. They need to stay healthy. Get guys off days that they don't have the ability to put my Kel Garci out there short like they did

5:07last year or the last two years. I'd love to see Bobby with junior get a half day where he just D.H. is. Maybe it can be on the road trip. So it doesn't upset the fans. But I'd like to see Bobby get a day off. And I think they'll, they're at home for the next series and then they're on the road for a bit. I think it would be smart for them to just continue to rest guys because you can't Jack Taglion, if he goes down with Tommy John's surgery tomorrow, that depreciates his value for next season. I mean, he's a D.H. only next year. That would be a catastrophe. They need to make sure that they're staying healthy. Get guys off days, get them rest, especially without brutally miserably hot it is out there. I mean, it is just injuries waiting to happen for these guys. They need to make sure that they are doing everything they can to keep these guys healthy, keep their confidence up. But man, his, he, it is really frustrating seeing him continue to get hurt in the outfield. I think that his long term position is at first base. I cannot see him being

6:09a long term right. I feel it because he just, it takes too much of a toll on his body and they need to play him at first a lot more. It's a shame that Vinny's there. It'd be nice if Salvi would retire so that they can D.H. Vinny every single day. But yeah, they need to, they really need to work in some off days for these guys, especially, you know, Bobby would junior Carter Jensen getting days off. That's important for them because those guys have played a ton, especially Carter Jensen. He's caught much more than they probably would have thought he would this year. David Leskey's brought that up a ton with his slumps and struggles. He needs to get days off like he got today, not half days where he D.H. is full days off needs to happen. 10:25He continues to really churn in in. Today he gets three double plays for the Royals. Overall, I thought it was a really good outing form, especially since he did not pitch all that well. It's the Blue Jays first time through when they played in Toronto a week and a half ago. He finished his six innings, no walks, one or run. It came in the six inning. His final inning of work, he was very efficient looking at his pitching performance today. He was super efficient on the mound in terms of just getting strikes 62 percent first pitch strike. Got good 64 percent strikes in total. He got good chase today. Like I said, I said early, this felt like a game where both teams just wanted to get it over with as fast as possible. 103 degrees on the field. If you were at the game, hey, you are maybe up for fan of the year, but it looked like the Blue Jays were doing being super aggressive because after they go down three nothing in the first inning, it's like, okay, we need to get out of here as fast as possible because it is just miserable out there. And they chased on

11:2935 percent of his pitches. I thought that that's a really good number. He was not totally in the zone all game today, but he got good chase numbers. He's going to be a really high variance pitcher because of just there's not much middle ground with him. Either gets rocked or he's able to get through six innings pretty, pretty healthily. I'm curious to see what their plan is for him in 2027. I think that he needs to be a guy that is in the Chris Young 2015 role where he's a, he's a reliever, but he can also come in and make spot starts or somebody gets hurt. And they need guys like that. I mean, they need long relief guys. They thought they had that this year with guys like Mitch Spencer was an absolute disaster. They thought they had guys that could fit into that role. They need to get there next year with with Randy Dobnak. I think that he can fit that role perfectly. And then the bullpen today, like I said, the Blue Jays wanted to get get out of town as fast as they could looking at the bullpen. And it was, you know, each of them gave up a hit, but it wasn't like any of them were bad. I thought Connor Thomas was as good as he's been. Nolan Hoffman

12:35is okay. But the bullpen is what it is at this point. I'm not like super excited about any of the guys returning next year except for Pearson, Cruz and Lynch. Everyone else is just kind of organizational depth. You hope that they clear waivers and they can play no more on next year and not take a 40 man spot. But I thought that it was a pretty complete effort today from the royals. They got out early to an early lead and it felt like they just wanted to sit on it. They needed to get out like they were talking about. Ryan mentioned it on the broadcast. It feels like in the bottom of the seventh or the top of the eighth and the royals have had a game like that early this season when they played the pod raise where, you know, seventh, eighth inning, it just gets way out of hand. It just gets ugly. And I felt like today, it could have gotten that way, but I think both sides just wanted to get things over with. But the royals pick up a big win today.
