Braden Shin made his first trip back to St. Louis just four days after the Blues traded him to the New York Islanders.

The deal happened at Friday's Trade Deadline for a 2026 first-round pick, a third-rounder,

forward Jonathan Drewen and Goldie Prospect, Marcus Gidloff.

On Tuesday, fans and the team rode out the red carpet for the former captain.

The Blues kicked things off with a heartfelt tribute video while Shen watched from the Islanders bench.

He then took a full lap around the ice at Enterprise Center as the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

St. Louis fans showed their love right back, making it clear the bond runs deep after nine strong seasons together.

Shen kept in the team, hit his 1,000 NHL game milestone and lifted the Stanley Cup in 2019.
