Seahawks Draft: Cornerbacks in Spotlight

On March 12th, the NFL League year kicked off this Wednesday, and teams are already gearing

up for the 20-26 draft set for Pittsburgh from April 23rd to 25th.

As Super Bowl champs after beating the Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks land the 30-second

pick in the first round, plus the 64th in round, 2 and 96th in round 3.

They only have four picks total right now, including a sixth-rounder from Cleveland picked

up in a trade last year.

Seattle dealt away their 4th and 5th rounders to New Orleans for receiver Rashid Shaheed,

and their original 6th went to Jacksonville 4.

Defensive lineman Roy Robertson Harris.

The full first round order starts with the Raiders at number 1, followed by the Jets, Cardinals,

Titans, Giants, Browns and Commanders, then runs.

Through teams like the Saints, Chiefs and Bengals before ending with the Seahawks at 32,

with several cornerbacks like Rick Willen and Josh Job hitting free agency, Seattle needs

depth there despite Devin Witherspoon's strong play.

Experts across the board are mocking cornerbacks to the Seahawks at 32.

Names like Brandon Sissy from South Carolina pop up most often for his size, speed and instincts,

while others point to Avion Terrell from Clemson.

Germain McCoy or Colton Hood from Tennessee as versatile fits for Mike McDonald's defense.

His free agency shakes out and workouts ramp up.
