Seahawks' RB Plan: Trust the Process

On March 21st, the Seattle Seahawks are staring down a thin running-back group heading into

next season.

Kenneth Walker signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in Free Agency, leaving Zack Sharbanay

as the likely leadback, but he's still rehabbing a torn.

ACL General manager John Schneider recently addressed the concern, assuring fans the

team has a solid plan in place.

Earlier this week on his radio show, Schneider urged everyone to trust the process.

He's got two Super Bowl rings from his time with Seattle, so his track record speaks

for itself.

Rather than chasing big-name free agents, the focus seems to be on internal options and

the draft.

Fans might remember how the Seahawks invested heavily in the position before, taking both

Walker and Sharbanay in the second round over the last few years.

That strategy paid off, as Walker landed a deal worth more than $10 million a year,

and helped the Chiefs win a title.

Looking ahead to the 2026 draft, Seattle picks at number 32, but the class lacks elite

running-back talent.

Noter-Dame's Jeremiah Love could go in the top 10, while Jadarian Price might slip to

late in the first round.

The team has bigger needs at Edge R Usher and corner-back too.

For now, players like Emanuel Wilson and George Halani could see heavy action if Sharbanay

isn't ready by week one.

Their performance will play a big role in whether the Seahawks challenge for the NSC West

again this year.
