On September 10th, alright, so the Seattle Seahawks are kicking off their season tonight against the New England Patriots, but they're gonna be missing a key piece in their secondary. Defensive Beck, Nick M. Worry has been ruled out. This decision was up in the air all week because he's been dealing with an ankle injury. This is a pretty big deal because Ammanwari is known for being super versatile in their defense. On top of that, their starting safety, Tio Kata, is also out with a hamstring issue. So, the Seahawks are going to have to rely on some of their backup guys who they brought in just before this game. Ammanwari actually had surgery on that ankle before training camp even started and has been working hard to get back on the field. Coach Mike McDonald had said earlier this week that Ammanwari was looking good and had been practicing more, which gave some hope he might play. But ultimately, after limited participation in practice, the team decided it wasn't worth the risk to put him out there against the Patriots for this. Opener, it's a tough break for the Seahawks as they try to start their season strong.
So, as the Seahawks begin their title defense, they'll be doing it without two important defensive backs. We'll have to see how the debt holds up against New England tonight. I'm Corey with the story. That's your Seattle Seahawks news today update, AI-powered and always on.
