Good morning everyone and welcome to this morning's episode of the Maritime Morning Brief brought to you by the one the only Marine Exchange of Puget Sound. I am your host Sarah back again this morning bringing you the essentials on vessel movements and maritime conditions today in Washington. It is Friday September 4th, 2026. Happy Friday everyone. Today we are anticipating the arrival of seven vessels which is expected to include four container ships, one tanker, one bulker and one passenger. We're also expecting the departure of one passenger at this time but of course that along with all ship schedules are dynamic and subject to change so if you need more information throughout the day make sure to log into our AIS feed. Check out the daily paper or call into the operations center.
For today's tides in Seattle we will have low tides at 0449 and 1708 with high tides at 1231 and 2215. For the weather we're expecting a high of 64 degrees and a low of 53 degrees with variable winds 5 knots or less and then there is a slight chance of rain throughout the day. Before we sign off I just wanted to let you know that Hudson River and National Estuarian research reserve or HRNERR we love our acronyms is hiring for an assistant environmental analyst. This is coming to you from the Olympic Ocean National Marine Sanctuary so it's been vetted over there and I'm just sending it along to you here. The position will assist with assessing protecting managing and restoring Hudson River Estuary habitats including shorelines, tidal wetlands and submerged aquatic vegetation beds.
