There are more than just items to check off the summer bucket list. There are also opportunities to earn 2% daily cashback when you use your Apple Card with Apple Pay. Now that's smart. These are nice summer memories. Yep. But then you get that 2% cashback. That's a nice thing. That is. You know? Yeah. I like spending money knowing I'll get some of it back. That's a good way to look at it. Yeah. So these summer memories, we can enjoy time with your kids and then say we're getting 2% cashback kids. Why else would you spend time with your kids? Exactly. If you're not getting 2% cashback, apply for Apple Card now and use it in minutes with Apple Pay. Subject to credit approval. Summerspouses with Conan O'Brien, Sonoma of Session and Maccorley and Liza Paolo O'Brien, Tak Baroyan and Amanda Lund. Okay, welcome to the sixth and sadly final episode of Summerspouses, where I'll gain divorced. But we're marrying each other spouses. Yes, exactly. This was just a long audio key party. Basically what it turned into. He's on the mixer.
There will be winners and there will be losers. Everyone's immediately sizing up like, oh yeah, this could go well or horribly. And I know where I fit in that equation. This has been fantastic. I heard this idea and Matt, I want to give you credit. You had this concept and I thought, wait a minute, that both frightens me and intrigues me. And I have to say I've been blown away a little frightened for my job because Liza, Amanda Tak, you guys killed it today. Really great. It was really nice. And I have to say that because Liza is my ride home. After that nothing. After that nothing. No, you're nothing. So, here we are. We've just had this incredibly intense experience. And you'd think we'd tape these all in one day. But no, that's not how we work. For authenticity, we've been slaving over this for as many weeks as it takes to air
six episodes, which by my count is six weeks. And we've not changed our clothes for six weeks. We haven't changed our clothes. No, we're right. And I was pretty. Yeah, I remember it. I was a little stickler for that. Everyone wore the same clothes. And this has been, you know, it's just a little, it's just an unusual thing to do. We must, so how did everybody feel about it? How did you feel about this experience? Were you worried going in? Did it work out the way you'd like it to? Go ahead. Yeah, I was nervous, but you know, as soon as I got in, like, just, you make people feel comfortable. So, immediately I was just like, all right, it's its condone, you know. And your wife was nervous. Oh, and of course her. I want to say something you always call me, I was getting to you. Sorry. You always call me Kony and Cone Zone. Yeah. And it can tell, Sonar doesn't like it. Yeah. Should be like, don't call him that. Don't call him that. And I was like, why can't he call me Kony and Cone Zone? What's wrong with that? I like you guys being friends, but I don't like you being like, bros. Right. I don't want the bro.
It's like why I don't want you and Danny to be friends. That's your brother Danny. It's going to explain not Danny McBride, but your brother Danny. Yeah, yeah. It's like my two. No, I just feel like you want me kept at a distance. I just, yeah, I want you. Yes. And for that reason, I want to become your best friend. I want to be by every day. I am being my friend. Let's do it. Amanda, you came into this. You are polished. You're a pro. What surprised you? Did this go pretty much the way you thought it would? Oh, yeah. It felt very professional. I am surprised. I am surprised. Yeah. That never happens. It's very concise, you know. I didn't feel like there's a lot of fat on the bones. So that's the testimony to the pro. I love how because your husband edits this podcast. You're thinking about it from an editing point of view. Yes. Oh, he doesn't have to do much work on these. He can help a little more. She knows how to turn me on. Lisa, I told you a couple of days ago, starting six weeks before that.
To maintain my pointless lie. I said, there's this concept. What do you think? You were very chill. What did you think and how did it compare to? I think it helps that I did this once before when I came on to promote my podcast, which was very kind of everyone to pitch in that way. And so I had sort of gotten a few of it a little bit, which put me very much these attacks point. Like it's an easy room to be in. You guys make it easy. So I think I think it pretty much went as I expected. So there were no shocking revelations. Yeah, I mean, that's what we have this show for. Yeah, bring it on. Surprise me. Yeah, it is for once in your life. Yeah, for what's in your life? We're 26 years in. It's got to, like, please something. It was kind of like these three are more chill than the chillchums. They really are.
Yes. Who are the chillchums? I guess that it's about chillchums. I'm telling you, Liza does not listen to my podcast. Apparently not. And also I don't think really views any of my work. And I'm going to tell you, I'm being serious here. My family doesn't gather around and watch the travel shows or old Conan clips. That just doesn't happen. And I think it's for the best. That's probably it. That's healthy. Would it be weird if Liza was a super fan? Right. Well, I mean, I've asked him that before. I said, wouldn't you lose some respect for me if I were a sick fan? Take any said, no. No, I would love it. I was loving it. I wish that you were my biggest fan on the planet. I was like, well, I wish Liza dressed up. I was like, oh my God. That's weird on nine different ways. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we really aren't, that's not our relationship.
That's not our family's relationship to each other. It is almost like I go and work at an insurance company. And when people recognize me on the street or in a restaurant, there's kind of a, huh? Well, anyway, let's get on. Let's have that feel perm time. Yeah, exactly. See if you can catch up. So I have seen some of the travel shows. Thank you. I keep meaning to finish watching the rest. You know what? You know what? You have to be bored. Totally. Too cheap. She's, she's watched the two Chi ones like nine times. She can't get enough evil on Gory. She's a big too cheap head. She loves it when famous beautiful people bite into something and go, oh my God. That's really what I'm there for. That doesn't happen on my shows. No, it's, it's for the best. I think it's for the best that you're not a fan or what, literally you've seen, you're not interested in seeing more. But anyone take the lead here because, first of all, it's very hard to direct this because
it feels very organic and real and I don't want to direct it. So I don't know if, son, if you have something you'd like to say or Matt, you guys want to, I mean, we were all back there watching the segment from a week ago. Yeah, was it weird? Was it weird for you guys to watch? Sonna says yes. Yeah, it was weird. I was in love. But also, I enjoyed it a lot. I found it. What I found interesting about it was how quickly it seemed normal, like normal and good and viable. I was sitting in the room. I was, Tanisha was there and Sam and Ruthie and we were watching it and I was laughing and I was like, this is a really, I like this show. And I'm not realized, I'm not in it. Sonna's not in it. Matt's not in it and I like it better than our show. I turned to Sonna and I said, how are they able to have a legitimate conversation like this? I know, you were elevated this podcast. I know. We've really taken it down into the toilet. How come no parent has shut it down with some cruel riff? Yeah, you've been lighter on the laughs, I will say. You know, like we weren't really trafficking in the comedy.
Yeah, but not everything has to be funny. Yeah, I mean it's like, oh my god. You're going to get me fired. One of those, one of those people who think sometimes a short silence between sentences is appropriate. Well, I haven't found that to be true. No, no, no, no, no. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. I hear it. September is childhood cancer awareness month. And Team Coco has something special coming with Hyundai hopes on wheels this September. So stay tuned. Every 36 minutes a child in the US is diagnosed with cancer for nearly three decades, Hyundai hope on wheels supported by Hyundai. Its dealers and a portion of every new Hyundai vehicle sold has invested more than 300 million dollars in childhood cancer research, helping save more than 40,000. Kids, that's incredible.
Since 1998, Hyundai hope on wheels has funded childhood cancer research and raised public awareness in support of children, families, doctors, and researchers. So now you've had hands-on experience with Hyundai. Yes, I, well, I drive a Hyundai policy. Yeah. And I love my Hyundai policy. You rave about this car all the time. And the first time I saw it, I mean, I'm not even doing an ad-speeler or anything. I was really impressed. I, yeah. It's a great car. It's self is fantastic. I know people who've been impacted by childhood cancer. And so driving a car and a, within, in a company that I know, um, cares, then works towards doing something about it. It, it makes the ride so much nicer. Join the fight to end childhood cancer. Hyundai hope on wheels. Did you know that there's a victim of identity theft every two seconds?

They're making it easier to stay connected so you're free to wonder. Well, that's really cool. And I love a national park. I really do. I do too. Now, there's one thing you have to have if you're doing that good signal. It's a priority. Do you know what I mean? You got your maps, your music, this podcast. Yeah. So take America's best network plus their off-grid satellite coverage with you. Look, we're all a little spoiled, but we like to have access to all our stuff. And suddenly you don't have it because of a bad single. That's when I throw my phone into the Grand Canyon. Oh, okay. Literally filled half the Grand Canyon with phones. Then I got T-Mobile and never had to chuck them again. You know? Good. So wander over to t-mobile.com and switch best based on analysis by Ucla of speed test intelligence data for two H 2025.
Wow. That's some sentence. T-Style light with cable device in most outdoor areas in US where you see the sky. That's important. You got to see the sky. Service may be limited or unavailable. It's limited with experience beyond or $10 per month. Auto renews. Can't sell anytime. That was probably meant to be said by a robot really quickly, but I just did it slowly so you could really understand. Disclaimer, please do not throw your phone into the Grand Canyon. There was a moment in the football season last year. It just blew me away. Remember that play? Incredible. The one with the ball. Through the ball up in the air. You didn't end that the catch and then the run was crazy. That was awesome. I know exactly what you're talking about. I think everyone does. So cool. Because it ended in a triumph. Well, no matter what triumphs or restore the season, legendary game days start with the Miller light. They sure do. Miller lights a true American Pilsner and the original light beer brewed since 1975. I remember the last season I was sitting around with my bros, my bro heems, I call them
the bros squad. The jock squad. Jock squad. You got your Greg Daniels, Robles Debnik, Robyn Flander. We're sitting around. We're shirtless. And we were like, this game day is legendary. We all, we all said that at the same time now. And then we all said, jinx, omia, Miller light. And it's a good thing I had some make game day legendary. Go to merrolike.com slash current to find delivery options near you. Or you can pick up some Miller light pretty much anywhere. They sell beer. Game time is Miller time. Celebrate responsibly. Miller brewing company Milwaukee was constant. 96 calories and feet, but two carves per 12 ounces. What was your final thought on this process? Yeah. I mean, I like being on a mic. I like being on a video. Like these guys. Wait a minute, you don't care who it's with. Well, the equipment seems adequate. I like it. No, the room is a good size. This will work.
Guys seem to get the numbers. I love that. I love that. I just haven't been out of the house in a while. This is so fun for me. I literally this morning, I was like, well, guess I got to go to the Nordstrom Rock. Get a new T-shirt to wear. It is a nice shirt. This is a big day for me, because I've been in the baby cave. So yeah. And where is she? She is near somewhere. I don't know. I gave her a $20 bill and she crawled down the street. She's at great white right now. Wredering mimosas. It's our day. No, it's, well, what about you? Attack you? How did you have a good time? I did. Yeah. Actually, Sonas sprung this on me like two days ago, something like that. Like, go on a podcast and like, what? So I didn't really have... I said, would you like to go on a podcast? You said you're going... You're going on a podcast. You guys are the two on the newlyweds game that would hit each other with the pillows. Yeah.
Yeah. But going on the podcast and tax the way it is or else you're going to get a double sandwich trap to keys and yeah. Yeah. So I didn't, I had to have time to like get nervous about it a little. You know, I was just kind of like, all right, here we go. Here we go. You know? And we were flying back from Hawaii. It was a lot happening. I had a lot of time to think about what I was going to say on the airplane. So it's all right. Did you get to say the things that you thought you'd get to say? Uh, yeah. Sure. It just depends on the questions, you know? But yeah. I did all right. Didn't you think I did all right? You did all right. Yeah. You didn't even tell me about you killed it. I used to this and I knew this is like not my thing. Yes, that's it. Did I edit the two of you? Because I wasn't nervous. And then the moment Amanda sat in the chair, I went, oh, this could go all wrong. Yeah. It's all wrong. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Do you ever feel nervous when someone hands me a microphone? Well, you should. Yeah. Especially when they're not supposed to. Uh-huh. And the last time I did the Oscars and just went off for 10 minutes.
But you killed it. Spouse a right. Benicio Deltora was howling. Yeah. That's my nightmare. No, it's funny because you told me when we first met, you had just previously spoken at a wedding for a friend. And there was a picture of you speaking and you said that you were terrified and you hate that kind of thing. But every time in 26 years that I've seen you get up and speaking front of people, you're very poised, you're very natural. You're so, I, the thing you told me up front just hasn't borne out to be true. I'm a liar. Yeah, you're a liar. Yeah. Yeah. And you don't have a come from great wealth. I found that out pretty quickly. I was portraits of your family. Aren't your family? No. So yeah, you're, you're very, you're, you just come to this very easily. And the same thing I say about Sony, you're, you're yourself, you know, a little nicer, but mostly yourself. She's nicer than me or she's like nicer than I usually call.
No, it's usually, oh, she's very, she loves to tell me what the things like, you know, it's a really good idea to keep that door shut and I go, I don't know. I mean, it is a good idea to keep the door shut. I like people from outside to come in. I like to talk to people. So sometimes I leave our front door open for a couple of days. How dare you like that? I mean, the amount of times I've said in my head, like, what's the non-bitchy way to ask someone to load their shit into the dishwasher? And I can't come up with a good answer. And so then I end up doing it. I grew up with a butler. His name was Cadbury. Oh, wait, that's Richie Rich. Yeah, no, we're getting there. We're getting there. There's been improvement. It's fine. There you have other strengths. But has there not been improvement? Sure. Yep. Okay, all right. There has. Sure. Or as my mother would say, Shua, Shua, go Shua. No, no, that means, listen, this could be a big hit. And if this is a big hit, we're all going places.
We could take this on the road. Can you imagine, let's say that this caught on and suddenly people were talking about, you know, the summer spouses episodes. And then, you know, whoever, a serious stepson, and says, you guys got to hit the road. There's big money in this. And it was all of us on a tour bus. How quickly would this go straight to shit? Oh, really? We're on the same tour bus? Yeah. Also, same tour bus. I don't know. Who would get a really bad, like, co-cavets? That would be Liza. Classic Liza. I would have a giant room on the bus. Liza would have one of those small beds, the concert, the roadies, leach-in. And I would keep it neat as a pin. Need as a pin, yeah. And when I'm done with the dish, I would open my little door and toss it out into their aisle of the bus and then shut the door. And Liza would come down and, oh, ew, scrape, scrape, scrape. Yeah, it's other string. We're going to hit the road gang.
I think this is going to be big. Yeah. Only do it in the Partridge family bus. Oh, yeah. I say separate buses. Yeah. I mean, you know, you know, but like couple of hours. Oh, my crew all has just three in my own bus. Oh, okay. And then me and the boys and us sit down. No, no, no. The boys each get their own bus. Each one. How would, your boy, I feel like your boys would take to the road very well. Yeah, they like traveling. Yeah, they do. They love hotel. I think they would trash hotel rooms. Yeah, they would trash hotel rooms. Yeah, they would trash everything. Yeah. Yeah, they love a good bus. They love a good hotel room. Yeah. They love being on the road. Yeah, they'd always be in his bus crafting. Right. Building little liquor related cabinets. Do you know how to crochet? First, he does. Do you know how to cross stitch? Well, cross stitching is easy. Yeah, don't insult him. One time I learned to crochet with my grandma, but I don't remember how to. It's so easy.
You know how to crochet, right? Do I? I don't know. I didn't say it though, like, I got you. Like, clearly, you know how to craft. You have like a craft box. I feel like. I'd like to say I had a craft bod. You got a crafting bod. What's a crafting bod? Like a dad bod, but a bod. Someone that obviously just says crafting. A guy who sits here, a stool in the shed. Crafting. That's the body you have. And that is the body I have. His ass is really attribute. His dominant hand is really strong. Yeah, your knitting hand is like incredibly articulated. Yeah. Clearly, you craft. You crocheted for a little while, or you did something for this. I did something in the pan-dum. We couldn't figure out what it was. We couldn't figure out what it was. It was sad. I was desperate. Did you make something? I made a thing. Pop holder is the, that's the coward's way out. Yeah, it was something. Oh my God. I'm sorry. You just knit until you give up and you go.
It's a car holder. It goes between you and this strip will protect that same strip on your hand. Yeah, it wasn't anything to talk about on this podcast. How do we get here? I'm sorry. I just assumed Matt like crocheted. The stuff we made for our parents growing up, I see now and what a load of shit. It's horrible. And I, you know, but it's that thing where actually I think the stuff our kids made looks pretty good. I see how the parents call those on. Yeah, no, that's what our kids made. Amazing things. I just look at the stuff. And I look at the stuff like my brothers and I made and I just see if this looks, this is awful. What a bunch of idiots. That's sweet. They saved it all. Well, I found it in the dumpster. My dad thought it was, they would take, it was a dumpster from 1967 and they just never came and emptied that one. Because I was in charge of getting it out. Well, this was, I think, I mean, I think we've, we've really done something here.
I think what we've done is we've shown America that although we all have our differences, we can come together as one. We are. That's not at all what we did here. No, we didn't. You really went for the Scottish in the beginning of the series. Six weeks ago. You came out to my people. Yeah. Yeah. Six weeks ago I went hard after this, this, this, this, Scott's, and how was that gone for you? That is a well known trove about the Scots that they are frugal. Yes. I've heard that. Yeah. Oh, don't you afraid of getting canceled? I just don't trust my sources. Okay. Well, anyway, you, you don't trust my sources either. No, which is correct. I will experience the same thing, lies experiences. And then I'll hear her telling the story later on and I'm like, good God. How did it become this? But it's amazing. It's very creative. For example, I always know this question. Every cabinet. I don't know where she came up with that. God bless us all. I was your assistant for a long time.
Excuse me, what's happening? I'm saying I was your assistant for a long time. Yeah, for two years. And you worked as my assistant for much longer. Okay. But you were my assistant for two years. All I care is I can back up, back up with Liza saying, which is you, you do leaf shit. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm sure Picasso was a little messy. Okay. I once want to say God bless us. God bless us everyone. What we did here was heroic over the last six weeks. What are you doing? I'm trying to give this a big ending. I'm trying to land this plane. And I, here's the thing about me. I will land it, but then take off and try and land it. I know. And you're like a reverse sully. Yeah. I'm a reverse sully burger. Yeah. I will get it up out of the Hudson. And then I will crash into the Hudson again. But I just want to say this has been a wonderful experience. I want to thank you all for being here. And I want to end it one more time. Oh my God. What have we really done? What? And what haven't we done? But I think we did learn a lesson. And that lesson was, despite who we might be, we could always be together and someone else.
