Israeli air strikes have hit a residential building in southern Lebanon.

Four people were killed, two others injured, in that attack on SIDON.

It comes a day after 30 people were killed in Israeli strikes on the city.

More than 700 people have been killed across Lebanon since hostilities between Hasbola

and Israel resumed this month.

Meanwhile, over 800,000 have been forcibly displaced by those Israeli strikes on Lebanon.

Many of them are seeking shelter across the border in Syria, where land crossings from

Lebanon have been flooded by people since the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran broke out.

The UN says that nearly half of those fleeing Lebanon to Syria are children.

The situation is terrible for us.

Yesterday, we were submerged from 3.30 in the morning onwards.

The massive disrupting to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is forcing other areas in the

Middle East to compensate. The Nasib Jabba border crossing between Jordan and Syria has

transformed days after an agreement between the two countries to make transit easier.

There are now long lines of trucks on both sides, mostly carrying goods destined for Europe,

which would normally travel by sea.

Since the U.S. and Israel launched their war on Iran, Yemen's Iran-backed

Anthala Houthis have noticeably been absent. Inside the country, there are mixed views on whether

the group should join Tehran's retaliation. Some are encouraging strikes. Others worry

could lead to another humanitarian disaster. I'll take a brief look at some other stories

making global headlines. Violence is on the rise in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo,

despite several attempts at a ceasefire. Humanitarian workers have been killed in a recent drone strike

in the regional hub of Goma, heightening tensions between the Congolese government and the

Rwandan-backed M23 rebels. On the inside story podcast, we examine how the focus

has shifted away from Gaza as the war in Iran rages on. Efforts to enforce the U.S.

broken ceasefire there have stalled and the humanitarian situation is getting worse.
