About this episode
Season 3, Episode 4
In this episode, Michael and Zach continue their series through Galatians by asking a crucial question: if righteousness comes through faith in God’s promise, why did God give the Law? Working through Galatians 3:15–29, they examine Paul’s argument that the Mosaic Law could not cancel or modify the promise God had already made to Abraham centuries earlier. Instead, the Law served a temporary purpose because of sin—revealing transgression, guarding Israel, and preparing the way for Christ. The discussion also explores Paul’s description of the Law as a tutor or guardian, why the Law cannot give life, and what changes now that Christ has come. The episode concludes with Paul’s emphasis on sonship, union with Christ, and the remarkable truth that all who belong to Christ are Abraham’s descendants and heirs according to promise.
