Hr: Hladan zimski vjetar puhao je kroz ulice Dubrovnika, noseći sa sobom miris crnogoričnih grančica i svježe pečenih oraha.
En: A cold winter wind was blowing through the streets of Dubrovnik, carrying with it the scent of conifer branches and freshly roasted walnuts.
Hr: Božićne lampice svjetlucale su na svakom kutu, stvarajući veselu atmosferu.
En: Christmas lights twinkled at every corner, creating a cheerful atmosphere.
Hr: Ivan i Ana polako su hodali prema tržnici, dok su pahulje snijega nježno padale oko njih.
En: Ivan and Ana walked slowly towards the market, as snowflakes gently fell around them.
Hr: „Ivan, sigurno ćemo naći sve što ti treba“, rekla je Ana vedro, gledajući ga s osmijehom.

En: As they passed between the stalls, the market was full of people.
Hr: Bili su tu prodavači s raznim začinima, svježim voćem i povrćem, te mesari koji su glasno nudili najbolje rezove mesa.
En: There were vendors with various spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, and butchers loudly offering the best cuts of meat.
Hr: „Pogledaj“, rekla je Ana, pokazujući štand prepun svježeg povrća.
En: "Look," said Ana, pointing to a stall full of fresh vegetables.

En: "Let’s walk a bit more."
Hr: “Njihova potraga ih je dovela do malog, skrivenog štanda u kutu tržnice.
En: Their search led them to a small, hidden stall in the corner of the market.
Hr: Starac iza štanda je već pakirao svoje stvari.
En: The old man behind the stall was already packing up his things.
Hr: Ana ga je brzo upitala ima li još suhih šljiva.
En: Ana quickly asked him if he still had any dried plums.
Hr: „Imam nekoliko“, rekao je starac toplo i pokazao malu vrećicu.
En: "I have a few," the old man said warmly and showed a small bag.
Hr: To nije bilo savršeno, ali to je bilo sve što su imali.

Hr: Ivan je oklijevao na trenutak, ali je odlučio kupiti ih.
