Alabama.
Alabama.
Our great state.
The voice of Alabama values.
Alabama unbelievable people.
And now, here is Andrea Ties.
The new Alabama House Majority Leader Paul Lee has coordinated an effort to
support the House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter when it comes to the Alabama
Republican Party.
Lee, along with the members of the House Republican Caucus, have all
written and sent a letter to the ALGOP before they meet this coming weekend to vote on
future leadership and potentially removing Ledbetter from the Republican Party.
Ledbetter has come under scrutiny lately for comments that he made behind closed doors
that were secretly recorded when he was talking to the Republican House Caucus.
Ledbetter expressed disdain for the state Republican Party after Scott Stadhagen
announced that he would be taking a leave of absence as the House Majority Leader
in order to run for the chairmanship of the ALGOP.
The new House Majority Leader Lee described the comments made by Ledbetter as a distraction
from observing his record of results and conservative victories within the Alabama House.
Ledbetter also says that he does care about the state party, but his focus and
priority has been on getting current Republicans in the House reelected.
The Morgan County Republican Party Chairwoman is questioning the ethics behind
a payment that was made by Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen to challenge the
residency qualifications of an opponent within the Lieutenant Governor's race.
Julie Klausen said that she is very concerned about the way in which Allen
secretly passed $20,000 in campaign money under the table to the ALGRACOLA law firm
so that former state representative Gil Isbell would place a challenge on John Wall's
residency, Isbell placed that challenge within the Alabama Republican Party executive committee.
Isbell also confirmed earlier this week that the Allen campaign are the ones who bank
rolled him to issue that challenge against Wall. Klausen says this type of maneuver
is an abuse of the Republican Party's challenge process and she says that many GOP party members
are questioning the ethics behind such a move.
U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville says that the war powers resolution offered by Democrats
in the Senate was dead from the start. Tuberville spoke about it on Fox Business with Larry Kudlow.
Well, this one's dead and buried. Now, if we go into Cuba, go somewhere else that bring that up.
But they want to make the decision here, Larry. We don't make decisions on anything here.
I mean, we can't get anything done, but they want to tell the president of the United States
whether he can start a conflict or defend the American people or American people abroad.
It's just absolutely amazing. They want 535 commanders in chief.
That's all we need up here. We need one person. We got Donald Trump.
Let him make the decision. He's done a great job going to do a great job.
And he's going to make a lot of difference in our country and the world.
You know, Mark Penn in the Wall Street Journal today was Bill Clinton's poster.
Democrat, smart guy though, okay. Talks about Obama spent eight months on a campaign against Libya
and Chuck Schumer and his fellow partisans took a pass on all of that.
All right. Didn't demand that Obama get any authorization from Congress.
All right. Then Mr. Trump observes all the requirements of the War Powers Act of 1973.
He's in full compliance and gives him 60 days as long as he gives regular reports
and the Democrats are screaming to high heaven.
Well, Larry, here's the power that we have here in Congress.
If you don't want to fight a war, don't fight the president at the beginning.
Just don't fund it at the end. We need more funding. Don't fund it.
That's the end of the day. We're going to fund it.
But the Democrats, you know, their platform this year going into midterms
is protect all the terrorists and protect all illegal.
That's the two things that they're all common about and it's going to get them beat.
You know, it's amazing to me that we see something like this happen.
People that are supposedly watching out for the American people are not watching out for the American people.
They're watching out for people that are illegal. People that live in sanctuary cities.
People that are terrorists. It's beyond my comprehension.
Well, a big announcement coming out of Birmingham regarding the closed down campus of Birmingham Southern College.
The Department of Homeland Security is purchasing the property to make it into a new training facility for the U.S. Coast Guard.
The facility was explored last year by the USCG as they are having a record number of new recruits.
The BSC campus closed down back in 2024, but it does have all the necessary buildings and accommodations
to be used for housing Coast Guard recruits as well as training them.
This includes a pool, medical facility, gymnasium, and more.
By the year 2028, the U.S. Coast Guard is on track to having an additional 15,000 new members.
U.S. Senator Katie Britt was credited with pushing to have the BSC campus considered and chosen within the Department of Homeland Security.
That's because Britt is a member of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee.
Governor Ivy has signed a bill into law that seeks to limit the screen time that is given to young students within public schools here in Alabama.
The Healthy Early Development and Screen Time Act would address those students who are five years old and under who are in early learning centers or daycares.
The law requires that the Department of Early Education train teachers about limiting screen time for these children so that their focus and attention spans can be developed and not hijacked with over stimulation and distraction
that is caused by these electronic devices.
This law will go into effect on January 1st of 2027.

In national news, the U.S. Central Command out of Tampa Bay, Florida has given another update when it comes to the military airstrikes that are being conducted against the Iranian government.
Admiral Brad Cooper says that the ballistic missiles being launched by Iran have dropped in frequency and amount by 90% since February 28th.
We're now up over 30 ships and in just the last few hours we hit an Iranian drone carrier ship.
Roughly the size of a World War II aircraft carrier and as we speak it's on fire.
The President gave us another task to raise or level Iran's ballistic missile industrial base.
So we're not just hitting what they have, we're destroying their ability to rebuild.
And so as we transition to the next phase of this operation we will systemically dismantle Iran's missile production capability for the future and that's absolutely in progress.
This is going to take some time but our forces are well supplied as the Secretary said and we are absolutely ready to prosecute this mission decisively.
On Thursday's report of the Daily Detail, I played for you the comments that were made on the House floor by Congressman Thomas Masi of Kentucky.
Masi is opposed to the Trump administration pursuing any more action against Iran without congressional approval and is offering the war power's resolution.
Well today I'm going to play an interesting audio clip with a different perspective.
This one comes from Susan Kokinda who's a Republican leader in the state of Michigan.
She also produces content for the group Promethean action.
Kokinda believes that there is a larger game of foot with action that has been taken by the Trump administration against Iran.
Kokinda believes that it traces back even further to the United Kingdom,
Lloyds of London and control of the straight of Hormuz, which is a vital area for the transport of oil tankers from the country of Iran.
So when Lloyds pulls war risk management on the straight of Hormuz, that is not a neutral actuarial decision.
That is the crown's financial instrument deciding who gets to move energy through the world's most critical choke point.
Donald Trump broke that control yesterday when the President announced that the United States Development Finance Corporation would provide political risk insurance at very reasonable prices.
For all ships traveling through the Gulf and that the Navy would escort tankers if needed.
He concluded by saying the United States will ensure the free flow of energy to the world.
This is big. The Empire is no longer controlling that vital choke point.
Now here's the final piece and it's the one that ties the entire week together.
While Trump was openly denouncing the British and replacing the King's insurance market,
Iran was doing something no American diplomat had achieved in 50 years of trying.
It drove the entire Gulf Cooperation Council into an emergency session which came out with a joint statement of condemnation of Iran.
Iran has attacked nations that had been mediating between itself and the U.S.
The Gulf nations of gutter, homon, Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain had chosen restraint and diplomacy over escalation.
Right up until the moment, Iranian missiles started hitting their hotels, their airports, and their residential neighborhoods.
And now Iran's missiles have accelerated the next phase, driving the same Gulf sovereign nations that signed or were on the verge of signing the Abraham Accords into a daybreak.
Military alignment with the United States out of the simple need to defend themselves.
The Department of Homeland Security will soon be led by Mark Wayne Mullen, who is currently a senator from Oklahoma.
The change in leadership comes after President Trump announced a new position for Kristi Nome to be the president's special envoy to a new initiative called the Shields of America.
Nome will be working with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in the future.
Nome's last day at DHS will be March 31st.
Some media outlets are calling this move from Trump a firing of Nome while others are softening that and calling it a strategic repositioning.
Nome was recently in a House Judiciary Committee hearing when the issue of her spending $250 million on an ad campaign for DHS and the self deportation of illegal aliens was politely brought up by Louisiana.
Senator John Kennedy, however, Kennedy also seemed unsuwayed and unconvinced by Nome's answers to his questions.
And you're saying that the president approved ahead of time you spending $220 million running TV ads across the country in which you are featured prominently.
Yes, sir. We went through the legal processes. Did it correct?
Did the president work with OMB? Yes.
He did.
Yes.
Okay.
And one thing, Senator, I think would be helpful to know is how effective that communications has been.
Well, I'm over-effective in your name, recognition.
I mean, I personally just, I mean, to me it puts the president in a terribly awkward spot.
And I just, I'm not saying you're not telling the truth. It's just hard for me to believe.
You know, and the president has I do that you said, Mr. President, here's some ads I've cut and I'm going to spend $220 million running them that he would have agreed to that.
I don't think Rust vote at OMB would have agreed to that.
It's something we have to defend. I'm only appropriations committee.
My research shows that you did not bid them out that you pick.
In fact, one of the people you picked, the strategy group, I'm sorry, say for America Media was a company formed 11 days before you picked them.
And that the strategy group got most of the money and the head of that is married to your former spokesperson.
There's some speculation that the spending of money was the final straw that led to Trump's decision to move known, however, the ultimate reason has not been disclosed.
A statement from the House Oversight Committee is pointing the finger directly at Minnesota Governor Tim Walts and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison when it comes to the widespread fraud that has occurred in that state.
The fraud has been committed in large part by the Somalian refugee community that has exploited all of the state social services programs and other state funding.
The House Oversight Committee earlier this week to answer questions about this fraud House Oversight Chairman James Comer then released a report on Thursday saying that Walts and Ellison were aware of the widespread fraud, lied about their knowledge of that fraud, and then retaliated against employees who dared to raise concerns over the fraud.
Comer said that instead of protecting vulnerable Americans, Walts and Ellison handed over billions of taxpayer dollars to fraudsters and then through their own state employees under the bus.
This report comes after the House Committee launched an investigation into the fraud allegations that first came to light on a national level at the end of last year through the videos of independent journalist Nick Shirley.
While the Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr. says that Americans have forgotten how to cook and they need some help. The HHS is planning on rolling out ways to teach Americans how to cook in order to avoid fast food diets.
Every American can feed themselves cheaper than fast food. One of the challenges that we're facing and that we're working on all kinds of innovative devices to solve is that Americans have forgotten how to cook.
The convenience of fast food is one of the things that attracts them and many of them don't have the cutlery. They don't have the pots and pans, they don't have the cutting boards, and they don't have a shop.
And one of the things that we're talking about now to HHS is to use the Commission Corps or other groups within our agency to go out and actually teach people to cook.
When it comes to the health of Americans, if you know of anyone who has suffered from Lyme disease, this latest revelation by Dr. Robert Malone is going to make you very angry. Malone is the inventor of the mRNA technology who is now the vice chair of the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
Malone has now evaluated the recently declassified US military documents about how ticks were weaponized and then released into the US only to go on to affect a lot of Americans.
Malone wrote a substacked article about this and then explained that article further on OAN news.
Yes, it's actually in CIA documents that have been declassified, for instance, infected ticks were deployed from C-130s flying low over sugar cane fields in Cuba back in the day under President Kennedy.
There is abundant evidence of the testing, field testing of infected ticks and other insects in a variety of settings in the United States and elsewhere.
Clearly, you Samard was involved in particular the Plum Island facility that had been a bio warfare investigative facility up in Long Island region and then was transferred over to USDA was involved in a lot of this research.
It also involved infected mosquitoes and deployed infected mosquitoes and a number of other things and the one that I mean with this AI driven investigation that I ran through as part of our efforts to develop new systems for verification and monitoring of the bio warfare convention.
What this uncovered that I hadn't been aware of was the release of a large number of loan star ticks that have been radioactively tagged in Virginia.
It appears that that was responsible for the introduction of loan star ticks along the eastern seaboard that have now migrated north of the Mason Dixon line.
Malone also says that HHS Secretary Kennedy is very aware of this hideous reality of the US government releasing bio weapons on the American people.
This is something the secretary takes very personally. He believes that literally all of his children have suffered from Lyme disease because of where the their family has been living, which is just north of this region around Lyme Connecticut.
So it's very personal for him and he is told to be privately in text in response to this essay today that he thought this was an excellent summary and that he's working hard to get a release of additional information about this out of the government.
This is a this is a major focus of what he's doing within HHS right now.
