Federal prosecutors with the US Department of Justice filed a motion this week regarding an upcoming trial in November that involves the state of Alabama and the Alabama Department of Corrections. Prosecutors submitted a 260-page motion this week and are asking the judge for a summary judgment when it comes to the ADOC violating the Eighth Amendment rights of inmates. Prosecutors detailed the staffing ratio of officers to prisoners, saying that there are 17 prisoners for every corrections officer when the ratio should be at five. Filing also listed the many testimonials of prisoner on prisoner violence as well as sexual violence. State Senator Sam Gavan weighed in this week on the issue of data centers. Gavan was on the Dale Jackson show on WVNN out of Huntsville.

1:03We don't want, you know, I don't know how that's going to all shake out into the day, but I have been a broken record on it and that we don't need them in the Tennessee Valley. I'm not condemning them everywhere, but I'm saying we don't need them up here from energy standpoint. I've been saying that for over well over a year before it was going to face up. You were against them before it was cool in that regard. I plan on bringing legislation that will eliminate the tax incentives and I'm sure I can find a host of people who are co-sponsored with me. Why should we be denying the taxes that are going to, you know, would otherwise go to the county or the municipality on the state of Alabama? There's no reason to. Democrat Congressman Shemari figures has introduced a bill that would block the Trump administration's decision to import 300,000 pounds of Argentine beef into the US market. Figures says that Alabama farmers are already struggling to make ends meet thanks to the skyrocketing cost of living that was created by President Trump's decision to go to war with Iran as well as engage in trade wars and retaliatory tariffs with other countries.

2:09Figures accused Trump of taking direct aim at the well-being of the agricultural community. US Senator Katie Britt is the only Republican from Alabama who has pushed back at Trump's decision asking him to reconsider it while the Alabama Catillman's association and other local farmers have been very vocal in condemning the president's plan. The city of mobile has decided to do away with its program of privately funding banners that are placed on polls throughout the downtown area of the city. The mobile media relations manager Dale Lish said that current banners on display will remain there through September and then the program will be discontinued. The banner program first came to the attention of Alabamians. When senior pastor of Pathway Church Travis Johnson observed banners being placed that promoted the LGBTQ ideology and decided to take action against it, this all happened in June of this year. Johnson then sought to fund his own private banners with banners that said protect our children from gender ideology. Johnson wanted the banners to be on display in the downtown area during the same time as the LGBTQ once since those counter steps have been taken by conservative leaders in the city.

3:13The mobile leadership has now determined that the private banners being displayed are a distraction to the city staff and are taking the focus away from their core mission banners will now be limited to only official city programs events and initiatives. A Senate committee has released a report of its findings on the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers, the chairman of the Senate Health Education Labor and Pensions Committee Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, says that both of these teacher unions have been promoting dangerous ideology rather than advancing student learning. Cassidy wrote in a summary of the findings that parents deserve to send their children to a school without the concern that there will be indoctrination of DEI going on and the sowing of doubts about the purpose of the US Constitution. The report reads that children in schools are currently struggling to read and do basic math while these two teacher unions are injecting dangerous anti-American ideology into the classrooms. Senate committee is expressing substantial concerns about these far left organizations getting money from teachers in order to work against the values and beliefs of both the teachers and parents who are sending their kids to school.

4:16The committee is recommending that Congress review the NEA's federal charter as well as provide greater oversight to the two unions and their political activities. Current law in Alabama prohibits the collection of dues from the paycheck of a state, county, or local employee that will be sent to an organization that engage in overtly political activity. However, the Alabama Education Association and the Alabama Federation of Teachers continues to deduct dues from the payroll of Alabama teachers despite these two teacher unions being caught in a vertical. The Southeastern Conference has filed a lawsuit against Louisiana State University and its head football coach Lang Kiffin for seeking to play former NFL players on the LSU team. The SEC has also named the LSU Athletic Director and LSU President in this lawsuit. The SEC is asking the judge in the federal court of the Northern District of Alabama to provide an injunction that would stop the defendant from taking any further action in this area. The action is described by the SEC as contrary to the conference's purposes and mission.

5:16Kiffin, along with the other defendants, are accused of waging a deliberate campaign to recruit professional athletes to play for LSU in the 2026 to 2027 football season. And Vice President J.D. Vance responded to a question coming from CNN's Caitlin Collins about the story that came out earlier this week of the Alabama Fallen Soldier Alex Cleaner. The widow of Alex Cleaner recently revealed that she and her three young children are not receiving any benefits from the Air Force for her husband's death in a military action. That's because Operation Epic Fury was not officially declared a war by Congress. Cleaner died over in the state of Hormuz during a refueling operation. Vance was taking questions in the White House press room when the story of Cleaner was brought up. Can you and the president personally ensure that the family of Alex Cleaner gets all the benefits that they deserve given he died serving the country? Yes, so what's her name? His name is Alex Cleaner. He was an airman who was killed in the plane that went down over Weston, or... So what I'd say, Caitlin is pleased if you, especially if you have the private contact information, we will reach out to her directly as soon as this is over and make sure that she gets what she's entitled to.

6:24Obviously, our heart breaks for every single person who lost their lives in this operation. And as much as our heart breaks, I can't possibly fathom a young widow what she's feeling and dealing with it. And so we want to be as helpful as we can and sure she gets everything that she's entitled to. We will certainly work that on the back end as soon as that and my message to her would be, we love you, we're grateful for the sacrifice and we very much take very seriously our commitment to get you what you need to get. 7:24The letter described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a war criminal and emphasized that he does not speak for the Jewish people. They also asked the president to take steps to challenge the influence of the American Israeli political action committee or APAC. Here is another rabbi, Yakov Shapiro, who was in Jerusalem at a rally of about 100,000 orthodox Jews re-iterating this message that there is a distinct difference between Zionist and orthodox Jews and the Zionists do not represent the Jewish communities that are located across the world and in Israel. Please, if you're Jewish or not Jewish, let the world know. Jews all over the world are not responsible to the actions of the state of Israel. Israel doesn't represent the Jewish people. Israel claims to represent all the Jews all over the world. If I don't like my president in the United States, I can move to Mexico and I would appear and I would create him. But because I'm a Jewish, wherever I go, Benjamin Netanyahu claims he's my leader and Israel claims to be a democracy.

8:26This sounds like a dictatorship to me not a democracy. We didn't vote for him. He doesn't represent us. But because the Zionists give out this message to the other states of the Jewish people, Jews all over the world are plain for whatever Israel does. Let the world know. Jews all over the world are not responsible to the actions of the state of Israel. Israel doesn't represent the Jewish people. Well, President Trump has some explaining to do when it comes to the Senate race in Texas. Trump chose to endorse Ken Paxton over John Cornyn in the Republican primary and Paxton went on to defeat Cornyn as a result of that endorsement and become the Republican candidate. Paxton is now up against Democrat James Talleriko who claims that he's a Christian and that God is okay with abortions and other such political nonsense. Paxton is now in a tight race against Talleriko because the Republican National Committee, which was willing to spend $100 million on the Republican primary, is now refusing to spend any money in Texas to help Paxton out with his race against Talleriko.

9:29The RNC is apparently sitting on about $800 million in campaign funds that could be used to help Paxton. Trump said this week that he wants to see Paxton win, but he apparently doesn't want to lean in too hard on the RNC to get them to release this money for Paxton. He is leaning in on the RNC leadership and they're completely ignoring his wishes. Either way, it's a problem. Texas is now a state at risk for a Democrat gain in November, a Democrat of the most radical kind. The US Department of Justice and its civil rights division is planning to engage in election monitoring for the November midterms and it's going to be done at a level never done before. The Assistant Attorney General, Harmeet Dylan spoke on Newsmax saying there will be over a thousand DOJ observers who will be deployed devoting precincts to make sure nothing strange happens. Dylan said these observers will be attorneys who are trained in what to look for and to analyze. She stressed that this will be for observational purposes only and what is done after the elections depends on what is observed. When the Democrat Minority Leader in the US House, Hakeem Jeffries announced that Democrats will be responding by sending out more monitors as well. Dylan responded that he should.

10:33It's the American way and Dylan said bring all the monitors possible, the more the merrier. Justice has been served to a woman known for serial squatting in homes that do not belong to her. Heather Schwab pleaded guilty to the felony charges of fraud where she used her father's name to obtain a lease on a house that took it out of the hands of a young couple. Schwab was sentenced to 20 years in prison for all of her actions, multiple homeowners and renters in Texas and Colorado have been affected by Schwab's fraudulent tactics. She's been evicted close to 30 times from various housing situations. Her method was to move into a home, not pay rent and then game the system for as long as possible to avoid eviction, resulting in even more months of free housing. Well Fox News just keeps shooting itself in the foot when it comes to their television talent. First it was Tucker Carlson. Now Maria Bartiromo is out. The firing of Bartiromo was announced this week by Fox News after she suddenly went off the air at the start of August and her viewers were told she was on an extended vacation. After reporting on the reasons why Fox abruptly parted ways with Bartiromo after 16 years appears to be related to an election integrity story.

11:39Bartiromo was supposedly planning to expand on the announcement from the Trump administration about a month ago that China had interfered in the 2020 election. A few years ago Fox News paid a huge settlement to diminuting systems after a defamation lawsuit was filed against them following the 2020 election. Fox News executives told Bartiromo she couldn't proceed with this story. Bartiromo is reported to have contacted the White House about the story blockade and the White House in turn called Fox executives asking them to go ahead with the story and this all led to her being fired. President Trump has already posted about this decision saying he cannot believe that Bartiromo will no longer have her great show on Fox Business.
