0:00This is the Daily Grind. Today's Bible verse is Bathview, chapter 24, verse 35. Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Today's title is scripture before screens. Look up. I don't mean just toward heaven. I mean, look at the sky, the clouds, the colors, the trees, and the hills. Just look anywhere except your screen. The average person checks their phone 186 times a day. That's at least once every five minutes. Researchers report it's driven by notifications, messaging, social media, and habit. Try this today. Every time you're prompted to check your phone, commit to this. Scripture before screens. Look at the Bible first. It could be one thematic verse for the day or just open it. Let's create a healthy new habit and that's life-giving. Screens aren't going away, but neither is God's word. Give it a try. This is Pastor Jimmy Pruitt. Have an amazing day on purpose.
