You're missing two.
The instance.
Bobby, what do you think of the idea of immediately as soon as it's available?
I move my house, my real house.
I'm not even talking about World of Warcraft.
Okay.
My house.
Your house.
I move it to the New Silver Moon because as it turns out,
the New Silver Moon is exactly the place I would like to park my butt for a long time.
It's either that or like old thousand needles or something way out in the desert.
Well, you already kind of live in like a thousand needles.
You take place, right?
Well, that's true.
What does that make you?
Is anger marsh?
Big mushrooms?
You know what I mean?
You think South Carolina is.
Well, I don't know.
It's marshy, right?
You get the.
There are marshes here.
Yeah.
I shouldn't assume because my wife from Mississippi and her.
I mean, there are swamps here.
That's what you're thinking of.
Yeah.
That there are swamps.
Yeah.
There are swamps in South Carolina.
There's a.
Gators.
Right.
Yeah.
Crocs maybe.
I don't know.
We don't have.
Crocs.
That was the worst.
Australian accent.
That was really bad.
Yeah.
No, we do have.
We do have alligators.
We have a swamp.
We have a national.
A national monument swamp.
Really.
Right down the street.
It's a protected like national park kind of thing.
Yeah.
But they call it a national monument for some reason.
I don't know what it worked.
Why?
Monument.
Usually you remember the name of it.
You say monument usually means like dedicated to a thing like the.
If there's a.
A statue of.
I don't know.
Washington.
General Washington.
Before he was president.
That's a monument to the.
The strength of the pre-American independence.
Or you know, whatever.
So I think there must just be a part in it.
That's considered a national monument because you're right.
I just looked it up to make sure it's.
It is called Congri National Park.
But it's a.
It's a.
Congri swamp.
It's a big swamp area.
I come out there.
I'm going.
I like swamps.
It's cool.
They've got like one of these like walkways.
You can walk through and.
They smell like a.
Like a raised.
Wouldn't walk away.
So Zanger.
I went.
Zanger Marsh.
That's what you're saying.
Just like that.
Like.
Because there aren't giant skyscraper tall mushrooms.
But so it's more like.
What's the old one in the old vanilla one?
You can still fly over the tree.
The swampy trees like the weeping willows look like they're made of paper.
Because there's such bad old trees and kingdoms.
There's that.
Swampy area.
Swamp of sorrows.
There you go.
There you go.
Yeah.
It's truly it is.
It's probably closer to swampy sorrows, but but it's it's less misty and diseased looking.
Yeah.
Swamp of sorrows.
It's nowhere we had to go to.
That's where the raid was for.
You didn't know what they have to do.
More dots.
More dots.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Those are good times out there.
Yeah.
I went in there.
Not long ago before midnight launched.
I want to hear about your midnight experience.
By the way, you started to say you liked.
Oh, man.
Ever song.
But before that launch, I was doing some day cool or housing collection.
And I went in and killed Enixia.
And it was just like.
I mean, it's kind of just a joke, right?
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
You walk in.
They're dead.
I actually kind of like doing that just for funsies, but now that there's decor to get.
I'm even more into the idea.
And speaking of which, do you have like a guide you're using for where you want to go?
Where you want to go to go get stuff?
Because I'm just seeing like I'll be on TikTok and a random video come up and say, hey,
you're looking for the bookshelf of life or whatever.
Here's how you do it.
And it tells you I had.
That's a good way to do it.
I mean, so there's some my approach to decor because there's a lot.
My approach has been to get what I need.
Well, twofold approach.
First is to get what I need for what I'm trying to build.
Yeah.
And so I'll have an idea for something I want to build.
And I use an add-on combined with wow heads database for that.
What was the add-on today?
I didn't think of that.
I'm so like in the mode now, add-ons are deprecated like they don't.
I don't have very many at all anymore.
Oh my gosh.
I didn't know what I said I was going to do.
I just wiped them all out and started playing.
And then when I thought, you might feel like you're going to feel like something's missing
maybe when the first raid drops and you'll go, oh.
Yeah.
And I haven't gotten into any endgame dungeon content yet either.
I was just talking to our mutual friend Tanner today.
And he was saying he's gotten into that.
He realized he missed some of the audio cues like the voice saying like, you know.
Oh, the new version of runaway, a little girl runaway or whatever.
Yeah.
Which, yeah.
Yeah.
So he said he downloaded something and got a working that helped with that.
Or he's using a DB deadly, deadly boss mod is still around.
But it's obviously not doing as much as it was doing before.
Oh, there's a new option in there.
What is that called?
It's in where is this?
There's a new, not the ping system game played ping system.
No, he has the pings.
Finally, there's a ping system in this game.
Slash.
That's all it should take.
Where is?
Why can't audio assist?
Is that what it is?
No, somewhere in here.
The new, I'll be honest.
The new options are great, but they're really kind of hard to find.
I wish there was a tutorial or something that took you through it.
Yeah.
Because if there's a lot in there, and I can't imagine wanting to build some of this UI stuff
if you're a new player and you wouldn't even know that some of this stuff exists.
Oh, here it is.
Boss warnings.
So they basically give you the option for, I'm actually going to put this up so that
if you're seeing the video archive of this thing, people can see it.
Also, you'll see what I'm looking at.
So I'm looking at the menu right now.
This is it.
And it says, it's listed as a new gameplay enhancement.
Anyway, boss warnings, you've got enabling entirely the text warnings, all of that.
But as far as I know, there's nothing here that says, make the voice louder or adjust that volume independently of other volume or something.
Maybe it's in the audio settings.
I don't know.
Maybe again, they don't really get, you know, they don't explain it very well.
I don't think.
Let's see.
I can tell you real quick.
It became play sound effects, audio channels.
Yeah, I can't.
I don't see anything.
Oh, boss.
Here it is.
Boss warnings all the way up.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
There you go.
Okay.
It's aren't the boss warnings.
There is a slider for that.
But you're right.
It is all the way up.
Well, I think what Tanner's issue was more had more to do with just being warned about the things he
wanted to be warned about or something.
I didn't dig in because I was just told him I haven't done it yet.
I'm really trying really hard not to get any combat related add-ons.
I want this to work, this new change that they've done.
I want it to work.
And so I'm going to try really, really hard.
But I have gotten things like the mini-map.
I can't stand.
I hate the default mini-map.
It's something about it being a circle.
It's just...
You mean when it's up in the corner?
You don't like that.
Interesting.
I don't like the circle.
I want a square because I just, there's something about.
So when you put a circle up in a corner, there's that little space up in the corner that isn't being used for anything.
And it feels like such useless wasted space to me.
There it is.
You're getting your new.
That'll be up above your head all the rest of the show.
Yeah.
If they would allow me to use the default.
Yeah.
If they would allow me to use the default UI and turn it into a square, the default mini-map, I would use it.
Because that's my only issue with it is that it's a square.
It's a circle, not a square.
And that definitely exists in mod form, I think just by itself somewhere.
There's a couple of other things.
Like I said, there's a housing add-on that I had, but I'm looking at my add-ons now.
And it looks like I don't have it anymore.
I just use kind of like the wow head database and...
I just go to find, because that was what you were asking me, right?
What is it about?
Yeah.
So the videos I've seen have been really cool because I don't know the name of the particular creator who does these.
But there's these really short, there's tons of them, but the one guy found very short videos.
He's got an accent, so I can tell you about him.
And he keeps it really simple.
He's like, hey, you're looking for the bed of Enixia or whatever.
And you're like, sweet, I want that bed in my house.
He'll say, go here, do that, grab it, you have it.
Like it's just really simple, like quick show of the map.
Here's where the location is, also gives me coordinates if I want to go that way.
And then Ben-Bam-Bum, I've got the thing.
And I really like that, but I don't actually know how I want this.
Like part of me's like, hey, you know what would be a good use for AI?
Somebody to make an LLM whose job it is to just be an assistive wow LLM.
It doesn't know anything else. It just knows everything about the game.
It knows the metadata, it knows everything about everything that's current,
anything on the PTR, just always knows everything about the content.
And then can easily, very quickly, at any given moment,
even with an in-game chat window, it would be nice to say, you know, where do I get the scruffy cat mount?
And it'll just go, do these, do these stuff.
Sounds like something wowhead needs to get into.
I believe probably are, right?
I mean, they will, somebody's working on this.
And maybe it doesn't even have to be separate.
Like if I ask an LLM now about, how do I get to Orobos as a bad example?
It'll say, oh, well, where are you?
Well, I'm in this one place.
Okay, we'll take the portal to this, that, and then you're in Orobos.
Good luck, that place.
But then you can choose like the personality, right?
And it'll have those annoying LLM.
Those chat GPT personalities where it's like, yeah, you can jump on up to,
jump on over to Orgrimmar like an orc, looking for dinner.
Yeah, but it'd be, but you could assign, you know, it could be an orc going champion.
Yeah, go to this portal first.
You know, like I would, I'm not saying I want it.
I'm just saying I would check it out.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm saying I would say I would check it out.
But back to my, back to my original point about Kweilthalos and it being actual a place now,
a place even the, our alliance friends can go visit.
Oh, yeah, ever song woulds.
Yeah, they can actually see this now.
I don't know how happy they are about it, probably not very, if I had to guess.
With the alliance?
Yeah, there's always a alliance pain that, who cares?
That's one way of dealing with it.
I mean, you're lucky we let you in.
I'm worried.
Well, I'm not worried.
I'm sure that the bunch of faction beef exists about this being another in their mind because
it's so heavily loaded on the hard side of things.
Again, yeah, that they're going to call this another Horde expansion.
But I don't know that old, that old nut.
Remember that?
It's never enough for them.
We can raid together now.
We can guild together now.
Yeah.
You know, turn on more mode and have some, you know, dirt.
But really, we've never been closer.
All these alliance snowflakes.
We let them into our world.
Yeah.
And they're still complete.
No, I'm just joking.
We love our alliance friends.
Yeah, yeah.
I have an alliance.
I think my death night that I'm going to level up next is alliance.
I could do that on, I guess nowadays we can have them cross server.
So doesn't matter.
Or cross.
Yeah.
And the guild and everything.
Yeah.
That's cool.
It doesn't matter.
No.
But I think ever songwoods is gorgeous.
Oh, dude.
Looks awesome.
Except there's, it is very bright.
Oh, it's so bright.
That was maybe my favorite revelation, though, is when I got there and you do that bit where
you're not even aware maybe that silver moon has been revamped or something.
I don't know.
You've been holding back on the spoilers.
But just know we're going to talk about some of this stuff.
That's not a spoiler.
Not really, right?
I can't imagine it is.
But there are people.
Anyway, so when you enter that part of it where you're all flying together to hurry and get there
and see what's wrong.
And you see the big plume out of the sky coming down.
And you're presented with that huge runway in the ocean there.
Or are you talking about in the city where you're going from silver moon or the big long path
that connects silver moon city to the Isle of Queldenoth.
Correct.
That's what I meant.
Yeah.
Yeah.
When you first hit that, it's not exactly clear where you're headed yet.
And when you get there, you do some fighting and some talking and some stuff.
But it isn't until you kind of get off the MSQ train and then float about a bit.
And you're like, whoa, what are they doing here?
This isn't just revamp in the way that Orger Margot updated in cataclysm.
This isn't that.
This is like from the ground up.
In fact, just from a square footage sort of memory muscle memory point of view.
Because I would go back there a lot because I liked it.
I was always sad that there was very little content.
There was a starting zone for the freaking Horde back in when it was a thing.
Yeah.
And there's never been anything more than that, really.
So I immediately took to the air, changed my flight to hover mode so I could kind of get my bearings.
And there's no point in doing that.
It's a whole new thing.
Yeah.
I think it's this...
I want to say it's the same size technically because what they did is for that whole zone is they combined
both...
The old blood elf starting stuff was used to be broken up into two zones.
If you don't count the Isle of Quildenos.
If you just count the Ever Songwood zone, Silver Moon City, and I guess wherever the Ghostlands,
wherever that was.
That's the else.
They just combined all that into one zone.
So I think...
But what's really cool that I noticed is I kept thinking the same thing like this looks
really kind of like vaguely familiar.
I can kind of like remember being here, but then it looks different.
The city looks way bigger, but then it's...
I realize like, oh, this is in the past, in the decades, in game decades and out of
game decades that have passed since that city was there, they've been rebuilding the whole
time.
Yeah, and it's been, well, 19 years, 2007 I think was that expansion, so 19 years of people
begging for it.
It's just like, can Silver Moon be something more than just, you know, this one time experience?
Because it really is a striking place, even back then, and I just always wish I had
more of a role and that the Alliance could see it, and I don't know, I just, I wanted
more out of it.
Now, it's this kind of breathtaking, freaking thing.
Yeah, and each, all the buildings are like, they're like eight polygons now instead of
three.
They're just kidding.
They look amazing, but they used to be like blocks of like, like the things that my
kids used to play with.
That's done.
Yeah.
It was very O7 MMO for sure.
Yeah, it was a very low poly as the way it used to be.
It was so colorful and so like, so much potential there.
And so when I started flying over this thing and seeing just how massive it is and how
dense the city was made, like these towers are kind of, we go way up there.
It's like, oh my gosh, this place is big.
In some ways, like you said, maybe the actual square footage didn't change, but the sense
of complexity definitely ramped up and it's kind of hard at first to find everything.
Like I spent still a little hard.
Yeah.
I spent way too long trying to find these portals because the portals are in a portal room
to get to Orgimar and stuff like that and it is like, I don't know how to describe it
except it's like kind of in the middle of a building.
But I kept flying up and then I would, there'd be nothing in the middle, just wall and I'd
go up a little higher and go, oh no, it says it's below.
I'd go back down, no, I'm too low.
Where the hell is this thing?
Or like the trader dude, up with the, you know, the trader goods things is up on like
this weird terrace that is not exactly intuitive.
If anything, it's like the opposite of Dornigall, which was like kind of a wreck in terms of,
or no, sorry, excuse me, it was almost like a, the opposite, there's a dearth, there's
nothing there.
It's like a lot of barrenness and easy to find things because it's all sticking out
in this sort of barren design for a city.
It worked for what it was meant to be, but when you want to go out to a place like this
where, you know, you're talking about massive, let me back up a little bit to the city part
here in the video, but just this sense of scale and size.
Yeah, it's a really good point.
I hadn't really thought about that part of it yet, that, that when you're in Silvermoon,
it does, it feels like a big city that's been there for a long time because there's lots
of stuff.
Yeah.
Let's still go out all the hordes.
I feel like you can walk into so many of the buildings and there's just random, like,
general store merchants there.
And that's nice.
Which is kind of cool because a lot of times, like using Dornagall as your example,
you would go around a Dornagall, every vendor is like purpose built for something, like
they're there for a reason.
And maybe that, maybe that is thematic to the earthen because they have their decree
and the earthen decree.
Yeah.
No, I agree with that.
But like in this place, it's like, they used to try to make this look good in the old
version of the city, but they have these like silk curtains laying all over the place
or kind of half-guarding things, little breezeways and stuff, and it all looked like shit because
it wasn't really translucent or transparent and it was, now it is, it looks cool.
Yeah, it looks awesome.
I mean, this is orgy town, USA now.
Look at this place.
Have you done, have you done, I don't know, are you max level yet?
I'm not.
No, no.
I didn't do the, well, I didn't do the early access stuff to begin with, but I got it on
launch day and then just kind of taken my time.
I am in the real amount, but you're with the rabble.
Yeah, I'm with the rabble.
You're maxed, I assume, on your palli or what'd you do?
Yeah, I got to 90 yesterday on my pallidon.
Yeah, I've been doing a lot of the end game stuff.
The reason I asked is because I've been playing around with this prey system, which is pretty
neat.
And the guy who, who you talked to for the new prey system, he's definitely in this like
really, definitely looks like it, there could be orgy's there for sure.
Oh, really?
So hold on, I want to talk about that for a sec because I haven't, I've heard about
the prey system.
I listened to Ian Hasekosa's talk about it.
I know very little about it other than, I'll have to admit, my first impression was,
oh my God, another little weird side thing that we're probably not going to like and
it won't show up in another expansion, unlike delves and things that continue on.
So what, why am I wrong?
I don't know.
I don't know if you're wrong yet.
I've enjoyed it so far, but so here's the real, here's the reason that I kind of like
the prey system right now is because it's something you can turn on while you go do other
things.
So the way it works is that you go talk to this guy and he's got some weird reason why
you're having to do this.
I don't know why it can't just be, hey, there's some people out in the world that you need
to take care of.
You know what I mean?
I don't know why it can't just be that, but he's got this weird kind of like almost
blood magic venthear kind of, it's not quite vent, it's not the venthear, but he's got
this weird kind of like, there's this power that we need to collect by hunting these creatures.
And when we are these people and when we do, there's this weird energy that happens,
I don't know, it's like a weird, it's a weird framing that they have for why you're doing
this.
But regardless of why you're doing it, you talk to him and he's got this like table you
can look at with the map of all the new zones on it.
Just the guy right here.
Yeah, exactly.
See what I mean?
Like it's all red.
Yeah.
There's orgies in there for sure, dude.
Yeah.
And they are like serious like, like, like people are getting hurt in these orgies.
Yeah.
These aren't, these aren't friendly orgies.
I agree.
Yeah.
I agree.
This is like, you got to level up your orgie game if you're going to be going here.
Yeah.
I'm seeing that.
I'm just looking at him.
Yeah.
You go to this map table and you pick what you're going to hunt.
And I say what?
But so far, everything has been like a person.
There haven't been any like go hunt a giant T-Rex.
It's always some kind of person.
Are they kind of random?
A placement?
Are they always?
I don't know.
I don't think so because there have been a couple of times where I finally found it.
And when I go to fight the person that I'm hunting, there's like another person waiting
there also or about to do it also.
So I think, so okay, like waiting for spawns like a, it's not really a spawn either.
I'm getting ahead of myself.
Hold on.
So you click, you decide who you're going to, and there's different people in different
zones that you can go fight and you, and look for and the idea is like, oh, you know,
there's this guy in Ever Song Woods and he's a death knight and he's straight from the
path and you need to take him out and collect his weird, sexual energy.
Yeah.
So bring it back to our little whorehouse we got going.
And so you do, you go look for him, but though you can either go fly around and look for
him and the way that works is you find like traces of his energy and you click on it and
fight these weird sex energy ghosts or you can find traps that he's like, because he's
looking for you too, right?
That's the thing.
He knows you're hunting him so he's going, he's trying to get to you first.
And so he'll lay traps and you can disarm the traps and all of this is you're doing
various activities to fill up like this kind of behind the scenes meter, right?
Okay.
After you've done enough of it, you'll finally have found his location.
But if you go out in the world in the zone where the person's located and you just do
things like world quests or just go out and do activities out in that zone, there's
a chance that that person you're hunting will ambush you and start attacking you.
And then you have to change up what you're doing and fight them.
And then when you get them down to about 50% health, then they disappear and run away.
And so that also fills up the meter.
The cool thing about it is that eventually the meter fills all the way up and you find
out where it is.
And it's in a specific place on the map and you go there and there's a thing you click
on to make them appear.
So I think that's the thing I'm saying is I think that's always like that's in a particular
place.
It's just you can't click on it until you've filled up your, you know, invisible behind
the scenes meter.
And so I think that that's just in a particular place.
Okay, but this isn't, okay, I've had this so wrong in my head because I thought what
you did, again, knowing very little.
So what I thought is they didn't talk much about prey as a system that kind of kept
it a little mysterious.
You can't be faulted.
I don't think for not knowing how this works at all.
Well, here's what I thought.
I thought it was some system based on some, again, watching Hasakost to sort of talk about
in a video that you would go, you'd be out just doing regular stuff, questing, I don't
know, farming, picking herbs, whatever.
And then suddenly out of the stealth land, you know, like behind a rock, a dude to jump
out and go, ha, and you'd have to fight him.
And that was your, maybe you were his prey.
It's a PvE thing, but you, you know, that's how you would fight these.
I didn't realize you were doing, you were basically be giving contracts as like a, as
like a hit.
Yeah, you're kind of a contract killer, but he knows that you're hunting him.
So he's trying to hunt you as well to stop you from getting him and, um, yeah.
So what's cool is you do that and then you get a reward for it.
But what I like about it so far is that you can just, I can be like, oh, I'm gonna go,
I'm gonna be doing daily quests in void storm or wherever I'm gonna be.
Um, let me go, let me go get the contract to see if there's one for, for prey in void
storm.
And then I just go there first, you know, start that prey mission in void storm and I
go out and do my business in void storm and then throughout while I'm doing that, I'll
be filling up the meter and find this.
But the other thing that's cool about prey is that each of the enemies is like, that
you're looking for so far anyway, they have each of them has like a gimmick about them.
Like one of them, for example, one of them was a mage I was, I was hunting and she is
like a fire mage.
And so you would fight her and she'd be doing casting spells, but every once in a while
she's cast this like, uh, one fireball that would, I don't know, take like five seconds
to cast.
So pretty, pretty slow cast.
But when it, when it went off, it would take out like a little over half of my health.
So you really got to deal with that.
And so that's the gimmick, right?
Is that you got to make sure that you're prepared for that, save your interrupts or, or
mitigate damage mitigation or, you know, magic, you know, reduction, damage reduction and
stuff like that to make it so that you can, cause she'll just, you can interrupt it,
but then she'll cast it again in like a couple of seconds and you just have to be prepared
for all that.
And so I like that aspect of it because it makes me think differently while I'm out in
the world.
So I'm like, oh, at any moment, this mage could jump out.
I had to start thinking like that for this particular thing.
I'm like, oh, I, this, this regular mob during the day, the world quest that I'm doing
is casting, but I'm not going to interrupt it because I don't want to have that on cool
down if I get ambushed.
Right.
Right.
So it kind of made you think a little bit about being out in the world.
And I kind of like that right now, as it goes, is it gear, uh, gear score dependent,
what I'm able to achieve or take or sign up for when it comes to, there are two levels
so far that I've seen normal prey missions and then heroic ones.
And the heroic ones are pretty hard.
I was able to do one, but it was a very challenging, um, so they're like harder and they have
better rewards.
Like anything in the game, it's like, yeah, yeah, it's got different words.
And I think they haven't opened the, the vault isn't active yet, but I think they're
supposed to be a whole row for prey or at least the prey stuff will contribute to one
of the rows or something like that.
Interesting.
Okay.
That's good to know.
I actually am now looking forward to it.
You helped.
So far I think it's intriguing and interesting and the thing I like the most about it is
that it folds into, it actually, in a funny way, I want, I'm wondering if it'll make
me more likely to do, so, so what always happens with me is I do daily quests and then I'm
also doing mythic plus and rating, right?
So as soon as I no longer need the daily quests for, say, gear or anything like that, I fall
off of it really quickly because I, I usually, I'm not in it.
I usually have really great intentions, but fall off on like the, the renown or reputation
grind.
Yeah.
Where they lose me usually.
Yeah.
And, but I'm, and so, but I always kind of want to, but then I just get bored with the,
the daily or the world quests because the rewards aren't benefiting me very much except
for with reputation and I'm not like, as I just said, I'm not, I don't get really excited
about the reputation.
And I'm wondering if this will make it more interesting for me and I'll, and I'll stick
with the world quests for longer because I will be able to simultaneously be doing this
other thing.
I think it's the idea.
I think they want you.
Yeah.
It's like, oh.
Yeah.
I, I need to do something in the zone to find this prey target anyway, so let me go
do some world quests.
Yeah.
There's a reason why they need to, all right, put this, they need the world quest thing
to either feel better intrinsically with what you're rewarded with, either gold goes
up when gear score goes down or you're gearing out of what the need to do it or make that
rep grind way more relevant and way less grindy.
I mean, I feel like we're saying, we've been saying this for 20 years.
The rep part of the game has never been perfect.
It's never been exactly right.
Maybe there's no way to do it.
I understand why it's there.
Yeah.
And it is what we have, but I'll tell you what, in the long tail of an expansion, I
sure wish I was doing things that were different.
And that's why I really like the introduction of delves.
And I think that those did hold up over time.
Yeah.
And felt like they were evolving, both even in simple ways, like story ways, they were
evolving, they were getting tweaked as the story would get tweaked and even now there's
some weird stuff going on in the older delves that are, you know, intended to make you think
about stuff.
And also going to over older delves to run them again, just to get some cool house stuff
is also a great way to do it.
And if you said to me, world quests are going to be way more friendly with decor, output.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'd be way more into doing world quests at that stage.
So have you, have you, have you decorated your house yet?
A little, it looks like, I mean, it doesn't look, there's nothing fancy going on yet.
But I'm getting there.
Like I like, I really like the tools, they're super versatile.
The first thing I did is I plop down a big giant replica of the, oh, geez, what's
it called?
The thing the works came through, the big giant thing or the dark portal, the dark portal,
geez, the weasus.
I put that outside to scare neighbors away.
So things like, you think, and I scaled it up, they made it all that.
But then since then, I've just been inside learning how to tweak, like learning the tools
and it's a lot more going on than I thought, like, I've seen some videos of people who
are just taking objects that we're not meant to be used the way they're using them.
But they're scaling them up to be something else or the back end of something.
And then that's what I did.
Like mine crafting this stuff in a weird way that, that is really intriguing.
Like it makes me, it actually makes me excited to collect the stuff and do something neat
with the house, you know?
And they seem to be very interested in expanding it.
I just heard he in say, some of the stuff they're adding, they're going to let your, the
pets you've earned all these for all these years.
They're going to let them run around and do weird shit in the house.
A bunch of other, a bunch of the things I got coming up, which I think is great because
I think it's, it's clear to me that what they've done here was not just some throw away,
hey, this will help us sell expansions idea.
This seems like legit foundational thing that they just did to the game.
Yeah.
And then they added the, the heart steel stuff.
Oh, yeah.
There is that.
You know, that's not a, that's not, I'm sure that's a, was a, this is me trying to be
generous in my interpretation of all the things that are going on there, but I'm sure that
was like a decision from higher up, you know, where they're like, you need to monetize
this.
Okay.
We'll do it.
Yeah.
I'm sure they did.
That's a bummer because I, I could be wrong.
Maybe I was just being overly optimistic, but I feel like early on, they were saying things
like this won't have a monetary tie to it.
I don't think they ever said that.
Didn't they?
See, I think it was wishful thinking at my point.
I think so.
And, and there's a lot you can do without all the, all the, the shop stuff where you can
buy things.
I think the biggest thing I've seen people saying though is, I don't think people are upset
about the fact that you can buy decor with, I think everybody at this point kind of assumed
that that would happen.
It's also in any other game doing anything close to this, they're all doing that.
And also blizzard, right?
Like also because you, you can buy pets, you can buy mounts, you can buy outfits, you
can, you know, whatever.
So I don't think anybody really had any serious thoughts that they weren't going to offer
things for money.
I think the problem that people are having is the way that they're doing it with this,
this heart steel currency, because you know, that's like the, the ski v tactic that game
companies will use to sort of like obscure how much money you're actually spending.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Also, although at least I looked at it, at least it looks like every, every one heart
steel really is just like a penny.
But so there should be kind of like a one to one, a hundred heart steel is a dollar.
There should be sort of a one to one.
Like if you know that, but it's still like you, you don't just buy the thing for 250.
You go in, you have to buy your 250 heart steel.
But oh, look, there's a deal going on.
You can get 500 heart steel for $4 and I realize this is the world we live in.
I'm not like naive to that.
This is games now.
But I would love it if I could just go.
I don't know that that chair is a buck 50.
Here.
Here's my dollar 50.
Yeah.
I would probably be more inclined to buy it if I could just get right in there and do it
without jumping through the steps.
Part of me is like, like the, if I'm clutching my pearls, as you know, we all do sometimes.
We all clutch.
Occasionally.
I might even clutch your pearls if they're hanging in front of me.
You know what I mean?
Whoa.
Don't threaten me with a good time.
Wrong.
But the, you know, of course, you know, there's the, you know, high and mighty stance to
be like, oh, you're trying to obscure the money and you're, you know, you're milking
us for every penny we get.
But if, but I don't have a problem necessarily because I, I spend money, how I want to spend
money, you know, like, but not everybody's like that.
A lot of people fall victim to that kind of thinking sometimes.
But for me, I just don't want to go through all the steps.
Mm-hmm.
Like I just want to be able to see it and be like, click, you know, add to cart by, you know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, I'm with you.
I don't know the, I don't know the answer for how they could do that better.
I just know it's the status quo because it is that's what we're going to get.
Yeah.
And not that I really have seen anything that I've wanted to buy from, that's the other
thing is I'm glad that I haven't like felt like I'm not getting good options in the game
without spending money.
There are lots of great options.
Yeah.
No, there are.
I mean, of all the blizzard properties where you're asked to go buy stuff outside of
gold or in game currency, wow, it's probably the cheapest comparatively.
Like right now, if you want to go do some of these packs and things that are in Diablo
4, you're going to pay through your butt, like it's very expensive.
They're doing a crossover with the Doom, latest Doom game, forgot the full name of the
Doom Tank Man Doom, whatever it is.
Yeah.
Tank Man Doom.
That's it.
I'm sure that's the exact name.
They those look great, but you're going to spend like a hundred bucks.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
And I even looked at the, the packs that are on for, for housing decor and the value you're
getting from the packs is actually pretty good.
If you want everything in it, of course, if you're really just pricing it and how much
does it cost?
Like there's a new, there's a springtime nature pack in there for your house and it's
like 25 bucks.
It's 2, 2500 heart steel, which is 25 bucks.
But I priced out all the items individually and everything to get all of those things in
the quantities that they offer them.
You'd have to spend like over 35 bucks, I think.
I love that you do that sort of thing, but you don't just, you're not happy enough just
to go, well, that whole thing is 25 bucks, either that's a good deal or it's not a good
deal.
Bobby's always like, well, what that is per, like is that candle like, how much is that?
Honestly, the reason I do it is I'm like, okay, let's think about this.
Do I want to use this?
Because I'm actually decorating some stuff, right?
Yeah.
Okay.
If I want to make a room like this, do I need all three of the trees?
Maybe I only want one.
Maybe I only need one of this.
Can I just buy you one?
Did you really get it cheaper?
Yeah.
No.
So that's what, that's why I'm doing that is because I'm just thinking like, could I get
this cheaper and let our own, I did it when, when they were offering the, the different
additions of midnight, I went through and I said, okay, there's this epic addition,
which I did end up getting the epic addition, but I said, there's this epic addition.
Yeah.
It's worth it.
If, you know, it feels like it kind of is, but is it just that they're tricking me?
And so I priced all out and it was a pretty good deal.
So I got it.
Yeah.
Very nice.
I might do some of that.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I still have enough stuff that I'm either collecting or I have, I haven't even looked
at yet, that I, that I still want to sort of experiment with.
I'm not yet in the mode of like, I got to go buy a thing.
The minute they're like, here's a diorama of thousand needles before the flood, before
the cataclysm.
And you can see the little rocks pivot and it's sitting on your desk like a little mini
version of that.
And then every once in a while, water comes in and fills it up like a fish tank and then
leaves again or something.
These are all, I'm making this up on the top of your head.
I did.
But this is possible.
They could do this.
Yeah.
And I would pay great idea and I would pay money for that.
And it's a great way for us retail players.
There's no housing in your old freaking classic, right?
It's a great way for us retail players to get our nostalgia in for the things we might
have nostalgia for like thousand needles for me.
But people don't know this.
My hunter, Gurb has a whole backstory that I wrote.
It's like, I don't know, 20 pages of backstory about his origin story and what thousand
needles played, what role it played in him growing up, being trained.
I got a whole thing that I did.
I may never share it.
I don't know, but the point is, like I got feelings for feelings for this stuff.
And I would, I would, you know, those are the things they're going to get me with.
It's not going to be, here's the butterfly compilation of furniture that's got wings
on everything.
I don't care.
I'm like, you know, I love that idea of a diorama of the zones, having a little desk
because with the way you could resize them, wouldn't it be cool if, because, all right,
so here we go.
You could make like a war room, resize them all, and have like Eastern kingdoms or several
zones piece together and like stand there and you're standing in your war room, planning
out, you know, what your battle plan is.
Because I have this idea that my, because I don't know what to do with the ins, I spent
a lot of time working on the outside of my house, and I think it looks awesome.
But I don't know what to do with the inside of my house, and lately I've been thinking
it would be cool to sort of just make a, like a, whether people went there or not,
I don't care.
It would, this just gives me inspiration to make like a guild hall.
Oh, yeah.
I know they're going to add guild halls, but I'm, I've convinced myself that whatever guild
halls that they eventually add are not going to live up to my expectations, so I need to
make my own.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But now you've got, you know, you can set the permissions to where everybody can just
come into your house, and if you, and if you design it, and everybody knows that your
house is the guild hall, then they go into your house and hang out, you know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, exactly.
And I, I, oh, no, you got me thinking like, let's go, let's pretend we're in storm
wind.
No, let's pretend we can buy a diorama of storm wind.
Yeah.
That just isn't constant loop rotation of the cataclysm moment where he lands on that
thing in roars and crushes some of it and there's fire suddenly everywhere.
And then he maybe fades away and it's back to normal storm wind and just let that thing
sit there and do its little Harry Potter style, you know, animation because they're doing
this with other stuff.
There's this.
I'm going to go.
In fact, when we're done here, I'm going to go seek this thing out because I heard about
it.
You can go get this pen and quill and paper thing where the pen's just writing shit
on its own and dipping itself in the quill and then coming out and you put this on
a desk or something.
I got that.
But I'm going to go grab it.
It's just there in silver moon or somewhere.
And if they can do those things and make stuff move around in that way, these dioramas,
I'm now stuck on this.
I want these dioramas in my life across the board.
I want there to be a guild hall where like you have a big table, everybody hangs down
and you've got little rooms off to the side that are different things.
You know, maybe there's like different faction themed rooms and everybody not faction
but like class themed rooms or something like that.
Did you get your house in the core guild?
No, the neighborhood was full when I did it.
So I can move it pretty easily as my understanding.
So if there's something you should be able to move.
Something frees up.
I'll do it.
Right now, because that was full and I went, well, I just want to go see what this is
and I felt comfortable with the whole restart if I had to.
I flew down to, well, I talked to, it wasn't Bane Bloodhoof, but it was, you know,
I'm Torrin.
Right?
I don't think it was Bane.
Anyway.
I don't know.
Whoever the housing representative is for that zone.
I know who you're talking about, yeah.
And I thought, well, let's see what this is, it's just this like a glee thunderbluft
business or whatever, but no, it is my jam.
It's like, like I was talking about thousand needles.
It's big spires, red rock with balancing stones and crazy bridges and all this cool stuff.
And so right there smack in the desert, I plopped it down and there are only, I only have
six, six neighbors within somewhat reach and, well, there's a, you know, the guild,
the official core guild neighborhood is Alliance, but there is a hoard neighborhood.
You'd have to be in a different guild, I think.
That works.
Yeah.
There's like a, there's like another core guild, well, because I think there's more than
one core guild anyway.
I think we had to for size.
Yeah.
Because it filled up.
Anyway.
Because everybody knows, we have a, we have this really good guild.
We should join it and go to discord.gg slash core guild should get that thing called
core.
Guild.
Yeah.
It is.
That's the right URL, right?
I don't know.
Let's just check it.
Let's see.
Discord.
Dot.
Dot.
GG.
GG.
I certainly hope it's good.
Or if this isn't an elite, my hat, that's it.
That's totally it.
I want to eat my hat.
It turns out.
You have to eat a hat.
I know.
I like my hat.
I want to eat them.
Well, it should make a new instance of the thing.
So when, when you, if and when you get your house into, or you're about to move it into
a guild neighborhood, we'll definitely do it.
The alliance version or whatever.
Yeah.
Message me first and we'll, we can try to be neighbors because I haven't put mine in,
I haven't claimed my spot in the core guild neighborhood either.
I'd love that.
Let's do that.
I'd be your neighbor.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We can go, we can go house hunting together and find a good spot that has spots next to
each other.
And we're, we both main palies at the moment.
Oh, man.
Wouldn't it be cool to like theme like you could, I could have the, the, the guild hall and
you could make like a, like a neighborhood like cafe or bar or something like that.
I'd do that.
I'd have some, we can make our yards like outdoor entertaining areas.
People come and hang out at our houses.
I'd have Zandalari themed barbecues because my guy's Zandalari Tiki theme.
Yeah.
I could do that.
Yeah.
We'd be the head of the parade over there.
One thing I wasn't sure about, maybe you can tell me because you messed with it further.
But I thought if you chose a certain area type that you were stuck with certain outdoor
housing looks other than what you build on top of it, obviously.
But I don't think that's true because I'm out in the middle of dirt, land, horde town.
And I have a neighbor who's got the fanciest night elf stuff I've ever seen as a house,
the actual house and then some decor outside the house.
So I don't know what they're doing if they're doing something special or can I, is there
a way for me to say, I realize them out in horde country, but I'm just going to build
me a nice blood elf cottage, you know what I mean?
Like I don't know how that works.
I don't know.
I mean, so I know if you're in horde territory, you can do the blood elf stuff.
Yeah.
This one was night though, like blues and well.
Yeah, I'm not sure about because I know when I, when it first started and I was making
the house before, you know, when in the early access to the alpha stuff, not early access
like testing, but when it was first opened up for everyone for people who preordered humble
brag.
I preordered me.
Yeah, you did.
The, the, I wanted, I, let's, you, you had, there was the horde version of houses and
there were the, there were the alliance versions.
The alliance looked like nice little cottages like the alliance have, like human cottage.
And the, the horde version looked like ugly, spiky horde huts, they, they were awful.
I didn't like them at all.
So if I could have made an alliance version of my house in the horde neighborhood, because
my other guild that I'm a part of, they're a horde guild and they chose the horde neighborhood,
I would have put that house in there, but I did, I don't think I could.
So I don't know, I'd have to dig in a little bit more and look to see if you can.
I would be curious about that because I don't know, like I don't like, it's funny, people
don't like the core look of the horde stuff.
I prefer that over the freaking fancy, fancy, ship ball human looking boring houses.
They're boring looking.
I kind of like them because they feel cozy to me.
And I wanted like a cozy little cottage feel, which I ended up forming anyway by taking
like, well, what's your interior like?
Is it also very cozy and very kind of, yeah, it is, but I haven't done much of anything
with it.
My inside is just like one room and I, all the stuff that I put together on the first
day that I was playing with it, and then I haven't done the inside much sense because
I was looking for that inspiration and now I have it, you know, with this guild, you
know, hall idea I have, but now I'm leveling and stuff, so I have to find time.
I am only 83, but I'm making my way in the world today, way downtown, I'm spending time
in Zulemon.
Do you know if I don't remember because I used to raid way back then and I've raided
Zulemon many times, but I don't remember if it looked anything like this.
Yes.
So that opening area, have you gotten through the opening stuff?
Yes.
Did all that.
Okay.
That opening area where you're running around and trying to stop that, you know, super
angry, ogre guy, yeah.
That opening area is the looks just like the raid used to look, I don't remember.
But what they've done is everything beyond that after you leave that area, that's all
new.
So that's basically the raid is that opening area in that zone.
Yeah.
Basically.
I think that's cool that they did that.
I just don't remember.
I didn't spend enough time in there.
The one thing I did do there a lot, I don't know, maybe that was a different raid.
That's the one where you had to get the tiger mount that everybody was dying to get
and had like a 1% chance of dropping.
I think that was Zulemon.
I might have been Zulemon.
I did that so often.
Anytime, every time I could, I would do it, I never got the drop.
I think I'm actually okay with it now because it's really low poly and looks like shit
now.
But for the long time, that was an obsession to mine because I wanted to essentially,
I wanted to ride my pet Henry, my cat Henry, I wanted to ride a version of him.
That's all that was.
It was a blown up version of that model with a saddle and riding gear on it.
I thought that would be the coolest thing I could ever do and I never could get that
to drop.
It was Zulgarub, by the way.
Oh, Zulgarub.
That's right.
Wherever the hell I spent all that time.
It was a long time ago, guys, memory.
The Swift Zulean tiger is what you're talking about.
But what I was going to say, my point about it that was I chose this as my second zone.
Because unlike Midnight, or maybe Midnight did this, they're not Midnight, sorry.
War with Ended this too.
I don't think so, though.
Wasn't it linear how you went from zone to zone, not choose it from a map and decide
which of the four you're going to go to next?
Pretty sure they paused that idea with us going underground and then further underground
and then further underground because you couldn't skip, you know, Goblin town and go straight
to Spider Town.
Yeah, you're right.
In the last one.
Yeah.
It was pretty linear.
But prior to that, it was, yeah, they've gone back and forth with those.
I think in the war within, it was pretty like, like, it was linear.
Like, yeah, it was linear, but it was like, this is new.
We're going back to this whole linear idea.
But trust us, it's because of the story.
And it worked for that because you're literally going underground and then further, like there's
a progression that made sense, though, you wouldn't want to do it in another way.
What they're doing now is, is more typical than to what they've done where you still have
to do ever songwoods and, and quilt the loss and all that kind of stuff.
That's your start.
Yeah.
You still have to do that one first, but then you have the option to go to either Zulemon
or Harondere.
And then once you've done both of them and Aratore's Journey, which is not really a zone, you
just kind of like, is it here and here or here and near here and near, okay, and then
are a near, isn't that also the place again, guys, I'm 83, sounds like I'm saying, I
old I am.
That's my current level, but it's three in level and in mind.
But what it was going to say about that was that's the home of the allied race you get
after campaign completion.
Yeah.
The Honeyr.
The Honeyr.
Have you done that?
It's a good thing they didn't make all these things sound exactly.
No, I know.
There's some of this stuff, dude.
There's a, there's a suburb basically of quilt the loss that has the dumbest name.
Suburb?
I don't know what else to call it, like a subsection of the zone or something, like it's
a town with its own leadership.
And the reason that that's comes to me or the way I'm reminded of that is the name of
of it? Was it Train Quillethoss or some shit like.
Train Quillian. That's dumb. That's dumb.
Train Quillian. I mean, it's been such a tranquil town. No, I know. But it's just it's
dumb. It is kind of like. Yeah. Somebody was like, this place is so nice. It's so tranquil.
Train Quillian. Yeah. And later we'll find up his called Evilville. Come on.
Let's go to that go to
chaos
K. Austin
I like it. I like that a lot
But I haven't been there yet because I chose it from the board and I feel like that stuff started in
Legion was the first time you could kind of
Choose your adventure. Just you know where you went next
And I remember thinking that was really awesome at the time and now having that come back
It was kind of a good feeling because then I was further than with the choice and I thought
What do I want to do and what I wanted to do was to see what they did to update Zulemon and also what they did
What this story would have to do with these
Quoting quote traditional trolls that we've had since OG game
You like trolls. You're a troll. You're a troll guy. I think that's that's funny because I actually don't like the hunched over original
like
Those trolls. Gurp isn't Gurp a troll. No, he's he's ork day one or he would and he's not hunched over anymore
I gave him the better posture at the at the barbershop
So he's stand straight up now, but no, I've been or oh my back's hurting you you need to take a trip to the barber
Yeah, honestly, it's what changed me or it's what made me
Love disandal art trolls as they stand straight up their jack-to-hell and they look like they're taller than everybody
There's something about that race. I just freaking love them. Yeah
So I've been tempted a few times to like roll somebody new and I'm like, I just kind of want to make trolls for everybody now
Oh, my problem is yeah, yeah, it is pretty good
Do you think do you think the overall theme though of the void and light thing like even the the collectors edition
Mount one of them anyway or I guess
There's three versions of the mount one is the void mount one is the light mount and then there's one that is the icon is a
has like a
Split down the middle of
Both and I only know this because somebody gave me their code like today
So I put that in the thing and ran it and what it is is every time you do a surge forward
Whatever you were if you were the void version of that weird butterfly bug thing
It is now the light version and when you when you surge again in flight form
It will go back to the blue void and it'll it'll hop back and forth
I don't know if you've messed with that at all, but I thought that was kind of like that mount a lot actually
Yeah, it's nice. I think it looks cool
It's a little frilly. I feel like I'm gonna
Feel like I'm gonna catch stuff in the wheels or something. I don't know. I don't like it. I
Wanted to be I don't know what I want. I want something that's less little bits everywhere. It's just too. It's too frilly
Yeah, it's just not your aesthetic, I guess it's like trying to play football in a dress, you know, yeah
Yeah, I like that you said yeah, in the way that made it sound like uh-huh sure's got
Like playing football in a dress
Anyway, anything else about that though like just the whole
Dark talking about the theme of the yeah, cuz it does kind of boil down to that right light versus dark
This expansion is kind of
You know dark versus light right light versus void and and and
And is is is one good or are they you know is it is it just light?
Is it complicated dark or is it complicated? Yeah, I do think the theme is cool
It's like there's a zine. There's this zine. I wish there was a zine. That'd be cool. Oh, I wish
So there's this theme of zealotry of
Being the real problem that I like
Because you know, it's it's this idea that it doesn't matter
It's not it's not the light versus the dark. That's the problem. It's the person that wields it right right?
I like that as a theme, but I mean I could talk for a while about
My feelings about how they're executing it, but a
You know
That would take a long time and be
Be it's a little bit spoilery. I'd want you to get through the story before before I talked about that
Yeah, I'm too early to really make any calls on that front. I was talking the other day to
Chris Metson about just you know, once again, how's it feel to be done with another expansion and
You know, what do you how's everything going and I realized it hit me while we're having our conversation that this is his
first full effort in the role he has at Blizzard
since coming back
For a full expansion because when he came back before they had already done a bunch of initial stuff
Toward war within I don't know how much of that was decided that it would be kind of a trilogy or the literally a trilogy
I don't know if that was decided then or when that was decided, but this is like his first truly back in the full
You know, he's in the captain's chair on yeah theme and story and where it's headed and
I can feel that I feel
The mezzanisms for good or ill some people may say, oh, I don't I love Chris's writing. It's my favorite thing about these games
It's what was missing. Yeah, that's personally how I feel
But you know bias is a side he isn't he has a friend and you know
What am I going to say hate is writing of course not I really like his writing we're friends for a reason right but
But there are some who think it's they find it too simple that it's is that how you pick your friends
Yeah, I like writing is only how the good the writing is
That's the only reason I like you you did some writing once and I went that's an email. Yeah, yeah
But yeah, like he he I feel his touch on all this stuff and
I think it will be interesting to see what the player base does after the story's told right we're only in the initial MSQ
This is the first part of the expansion you get the big chunks later and they come at whatever cadence they do
So we'll make those determinations and as a player base will decide do we like the story?
Is it on track do we not where it's headed at all that stuff? I don't expect major resolution because there's a whole other
Expansion to make in this quote unquote trilogy in this three game thing. Yeah, so
you know for me
I just need just I just need to see it through and then make you know
Then I'll see how I feel the only worry I have is right now. It just feels like void versus light
Just feels like maybe the same theme that we've maybe always used or the truth is maybe that's what it always has been
The Sith and Jedi. What are they they're void and light?
Yeah, you know
Just Gandalf the gray and white versus Sarman the idiot
That's you know, we were always it's always that juxtaposition. So maybe I'm thinking too much about it
Maybe I'm digging into yeah good versus evil is is
pretty basic
Pretty basic theme, right? But um and
And sometimes it's refreshing to just get back to basics, but um I
Do have some issues and and I'm trying to I I try to be really generous in my criticisms because
Because a it's it's hard to make this stuff sure absolutely, but be also like you said um
MMO is in general and World of Warcraft in particular
It's it's not a true. It's not a typical
Video game story that's being told when I get to level 90 and I play through these raids and everything and and I get to the end of this content
I really am I've only heard the first part of this
Story, you know and so so I kind of try to wait and see
Before I get to annoyed
Where what's happening next is there's something that's going to happen next that's going to make this feel
Better but I there are some um there are some issues I have but I will I will I don't want to spoil anything
You can spill all the beans today. We got plenty more conversation to have around this game
Yeah, coming up and I'll tell you this right now if there's one thing I'm most excited about
It's that I was wrong about whether I wanted to play wild this time
I had a real moment there where I was like do I want to do this grind again? Do I want to get right back into the
the
The spinning wheel hamster wheel that is World of Warcraft where I I'm going to get in I'm going to do my main story
I'm going to level up. I'm in a ding. I'm going to think about all so I'm going to do some of the end game
I'm in a raid early on probably and then
And then I'm going to what Peter out like I just started thinking about that been doing this for 20 years
It's not like this is a new treadmill for us as players
Right, but for a while there. I was like I don't think I am
And then I bid into the hype bubble and I couldn't stop
And now really I never at least yeah, and I really like midnight. I think it's good so far
Like I'm not that far. I really want to see the prey system. I really want to
You know
Dig into the housing stuff more than I thought I would
There's a real there's a real polish to that the systems in there are really good
It's good and they're making it better. Yeah, and they're just making it better from here on out
It's already I don't know
Heads and tails above any MMO housing system I'd ever seen in my entire life
so
I just I just have a lot of
Excitement this time even though right up to the day it launched I was unsure
Yeah, and it's that's a weird thing, but
You know, and it talked others felt the same way
I've had people who very prominently play wow every time and they came to me and said I don't know if I'm playing this time
I might take a break this expansion and but the of course I look right now at my battle net. They're in there. They're playing
Right right in the middle of the day
So when we started playing World Warcraft steam didn't exist no
No, I didn't didn't have your giant steam library of games to
And even when you did and it wasn't that far flung
I think it may have come just after because oh four was the launch of the game and I think later for
I can't remember maybe early05 we got steam
Whatever it was but then but what'd you have you had to counter strike the old one you had um
Uh freaking half-life one and two yeah, yeah, what else did you have you really had nothing
Yeah, they didn't do all the third party stuff yet
It was a real unknown thing so nobody even thought about it now. It's just like juggernaut thing
So and wow the whole time it's just this place I can go and put my butt and be comfortable
and have fun and chill and
Do things with friends or do things by myself and just feel like I'm in this music is so good this expansion
Oh my gosh, it's so good
Yeah, that's the other thing so I'm maybe also there's just it's just a great juxtaposition of the
World right now is going through some stuff
And to have this is a is a bit of a comfort. It's like uh, yeah
I can be in Azeroth where where the problems are about you know void lady fighting
You know paladin people
I just summed it up people see our troubles are all the same. Yeah, I want to be where the paladins are
Also, why is there so much paladin hate they used to be hunters. What's what's going on with that? Just just a general
Vibe of the community I hear a lot of wow head article saying that everybody's
Everybody's playing paladins, so I don't know where it's coming from that must be why then because
The when people played hunters it was because it was a very popular class and tons and tons of people played it
Therefore must be lame that everybody plays it. Yeah, people are just getting tired of seeing
Paladins probably in their dungeon cues. They're really good though. They're great. They're fun
And this is the expansion of playing man. I agree. Oh, I have one. I have an admission to make before he closed things down today
Okay, this is a little embarrassing
Not really. I just know there are people that hate this. I don't care though
The one button rotation thing
Yeah
Love it and let me tell you why
Oh, don't feel don't feel embarrassed about that. That's it's really good
I really like it but the main reason I like it is it has my it is now lodged in my brain to remind me that
When you get around a plus plant and plan your ults when you decide to level
And try the devour demon hunter spec or you decide to get girp up his butt and get him caught up or whatever
I don't have to be missile missile mr. Swapout muscle memory to remember everybody's rotations
Catch up on their latest rotations. They're new talents. How I got to change it all
I don't have to think about any of that at least initially if I don't want to
I can just take him out and play and there's something
Awesome about that. It's great. Alex are our mutual friend Alex. I'll be soon
He um he uses it and he has it he has it uh mapped to a a foot pedal
Really so just like he just like taps his foot to play the game. That's a great way to kind of keep moving
Yeah, like if you're really you have a sedentary wow lifestyle
At least it's something's a little bit of a food yeah, you know that
It really gets you into that very popular um
weight loss, work out of tapping your foot.
Yeah, forget about nobody needs olympic, what they need is a foot pedal for their one
button assist mode, but also just the accessibility of that for people who can't play normally.
Yeah.
Love it.
Love that for them, you know, and I know they're, I've heard the beef, I just don't care
anymore if people have beef about it.
It's like, oh, you don't like how I play the game?
Well, kick off, dude.
I don't care.
Yeah.
Yeah, fun.
I'm really having fun right now.
So that's all I, it's all I care about, having fun doing this as well.
Great talking to you, dude.
