Mello, we are coming up on NFL week one. It's the smell in the air. Everything feels so sweet right now. Let's talk about our top 24 wider sievers for week one though. I'm going to let you break down our first wider seeker. It's got to be Jamar Chase. It has to be Jamar Chase going against the Buccaneers. My mouth is watering just thinking about Jamar Chase. Salivating on Salivant. Salivant. I'm drooling. My heart did skip a few beats when he hyperlipidly send it his leg. But seems like he'll be okay, thankfully.

2:10It doesn't seem like it's an actual concern. He's an elite wider seeker with an elite quarterback, a very solid batch up against the Buccaneers. What could go wrong? Jamar Chase is always open. It's in the projected highest scoring environment on the week. He is number one no doubt in my mind. It gets a little more complicated as we get to number two. Now who would you slot in as the second best wider seeker in week one? We're going to go with Pukka Nakuwa taking on the San Francisco 49ers. In his five games against the 49ers in his career, Pukka has three touchdowns and averages a little over eight catches for 87 yards. To me, you've got to lock him in as the second best wider seeker on the slate. That being said, he's neck and neck for me with this guy at number three. Yeah, I agree. Pukka belongs at number two, but it is close with Amin Ross St. Brown going against the Saints here. It only feels right that we put Amin Ross at three considering he's been the wider seeker three three years in a row. It's just very three three and week one. It is a dome game for the Lions, of course, playing at home again with a high point total, which we like to see in the world of fantasy football.

3:12The defense in Detroit is not so great. A lot of people do like this Saints offense. So we could see a whole lot of points and a whole lot of passing for the Lions, which of course means great things for Sun God. Yeah. Love Amin Ross. Love this game environment. Lock him in. Love a dome game, which it feels like Detroit's never not playing in a dome. But let's jump to CD lamb here at number four, taking on the New York Giants. We all know CD has been liable to go nuclear against the Giants in the past, but the thing I'm going to be watching very intently here is what the target shares look like in year two of the CD and George Pickens experiment. 47 and a half point total year, though. We expect some fireworks. Ideally, we see something that looks a little like week two of last year. If you remember that OT thriller, I would just love to see another explosion here for the Cowboys and Giants. Yeah. Inject that into my veins. And of course, we're starting CD lamb with a ton of confidence, but I agree with what you said earlier, monitor the splits between Amin Pickens and this just this offense as a whole in terms of target share and routes running things like that. Yep.

4:13I know Justin Jefferson taken on the green Bay Packers, my darling Justin Jefferson. I've been saying all off season. We're going to see the bounce back and it starts in green Bay week one at home in a dome against a Packers defense without a healthy micro Parsons, let Kyler cook and he's beaten it to Jefferson. Oh, I love that. Yeah. I've got nothing to argue with here. Justin Jefferson. This is the bounce back year. This is where he reminds everyone that he is a top one or two wide receiver in the NFL. Let's get spicy at number six. We haven't gotten spicy enough yet. Let's talk about our guy Devonta Smith going up against the Washington commanders. My guy averages a little bit over five catches for 65 yards in games against the division rival commanders and that was when he was playing with AJ Brown, which if you've been living under a rock, AJ Brown is now in New England and we will finally get to see Devonta Smith take over as the alpha wide receiver one and Philly. We've seen him command a 35.1% target sharing games without a JB over the last two years.

5:16Walk him in as a solid wide receiver one and just watch to see how involved he is. Hopefully we see what we've all been hoping for this off season and it is a true Devonta Smith breakout year. I cannot wait to see what the target share looks like against the commanders in week one. Someone who had the highest target share in the NFL last year, Jackson Smith and Jigba comes in next. I know he's getting drafted higher than this spot. It's just the matchup for us in one. It's a tough matchup. Although I'm sure J.S.N. would not change a thing about how the night went. He was actually pretty quiet on Super Bowl Sunday. He was limited to just 27 receiving yards against New England's elite secondary. Now with that said, he is still the reigning offensive player of the year or defensive player of the year according to the NFL. I think the Seahawks may have to throw the ball more in week one than they did in the Super Bowl when it was kind of a blowout. I project J.S.N. to have a much better game here in week one than he did in the Super Bowl, but a tough matchup nonetheless. We have him as a mid-range wide receiver one.

6:18This feels blasphemous, but at the same time, responsible having J.S.N. this low and just the matchup has to knock him down a tad. We couldn't go any lower than seven, obviously, but this is where we feel like he's going to rank among the Y receiver ones. Let's jump to a guy we already mentioned though here at number eight. Let's talk George Pickens also taken on the New York Giants similar to CD. It's kind of the same conversation and is only real game against the Giants that was last year in that week two explosive matchup. We saw him go five for 68 with a touchdown and that was, of course, while CD was still healthy. He was last year's wide receiver six and points per game. I think you've got to have confidence in your lineup. It's just going to be interesting to see what exactly that looks like in season two of this. Yeah, it's the same thing as CD. You said, like, just love the matchup, love who they're going against again, monitor, who's getting the targets. Season long, that's what I'm really looking for. But from a weak one perspective, they're both wide receiver ones to me against the Giants. 100%. 100%. Next, we have Nico Collins taking on the bills. Buffalo had the top pass in defense in the NFL last year, which is my major concern against

7:22Nico Collins. Now, with that said, they don't really have a star studded secondary in Buffalo. But I'm skeptical that their success will carry over into 2026. Also I think a big part of the reason their past defense was so good on paper last year was their run defense was Swiss cheese and teams were just running the ball down their throat every freaking play, which made their passing defense. The numbers look better. But back to Nico Collins, he is a real chance to be top five in the NFL and target share this year. I think the Texans might lean on the passing game if they need to keep up with Josh Allen in the bills. So I like Nico as a mid to low end wide receiver one here in weak one. Yeah, it's really interesting. You say that I think like our conversation around Nico Collins was really a guy that doesn't have like top three, four wide receiver potential, but he's like locked in my receiver one. And obviously with Jaden Higgins going down with the injury that has to shift our perspective a little bit. I think this is the perfect spot for Nico. Let's get an idea of what he can actually do this season. But if I'm locking him in as my wide receiver one, I'm feeling really, really good in weak one. Definitely.

8:23And onto number 10, this is a guy that does not feel great to lock in as a wide receiver one. But I think you should feel good at least here in weak one. That's Chris Olave taking on the Detroit Lions. Obviously, we wouldn't have been nearly as excited about a lava of Tyson. We're active, but our volume demon is back and should get targeted heavily in what projects to be a back and forth affair with a 49 and a half point total sneaky last year's wide receiver seven and points per game. And so with Tyson sideline, there's no reason for me to believe. Olave is not going to be a massive part of the game plan and shouldn't be able to just command a bunch of targets in a game that I expect the same staff to pass a lot in. Yeah. I've been kind of out, not out, but lower on a lava than consensus in general throughout this offseason process. I love him in weak one, like going against the Lions high point total could be a ton of points, no Tyson. Like you said, he already was a volume guy last year. That's what thrust him to the wide receiver seven and points per game. We could see high volume and a high scoring game, very good receiver in crystal,

9:24a lot of it. He is a wide receiver one to me as well here in weak one. Next though is Drake London playing in Pittsburgh. I don't think people realize just how bad the sewers passing defense was last year. They looked the third most receiving yards in the NFL last season. And I don't think most people realize that. So that's great for Drake London. My only real concern is a pretty big concern. And that's the quarterback play. Penex is injured. Tua has been so bad that even the Falcons view him as unstoppable, which is not a good sign. At this point, they might start an undrafted rookie in weak one. It's a total dumpster fire. Besides all that though, I love Drake London and I love the match up. So I guess he's a wide receiver one. I love it. Just spent the whole summer having this debate like Willoughby Penex. Here's Drake London's numbers with Penex. Willoughby to here's what we could project with to what's behind door three. Some random dude that I guess is going to be throwing the ball to Drake London. Like that is how this all feels. And at the same time, I'm with you.

10:24I'm locking him in as a low end wide receiver one because he's just that good and because he is that much better than everyone else in that receiving room. Absolutely. On to number 12, we already had one teammate pair among our wide receiver ones. Why not make it a daily double? Let's talk about T Higgins going up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is a really similar convo on Jamar. It's the highest total on the slate. Healthy Joe Burrow, healthy T Higgins, usually equals a really solid fantasy match made in heaven. Also, T Higgins has enough touchdown upside here that I think you should feel really confident, slaughtering him in as either a low end wide receiver one or a really, really high end wide receiver two. Yeah. It's a good match up. Good offense. Everyone's healthy, which we don't know if that'll be the case season long, but here in week one, pretty confident. This is where you have your fun with the Bengals. Yeah. This is where everyone's going to be grittying in their living rooms from all these things. Although I will say something with the Bengals in week one, man, something with them. They just cannot figure it out in the first two weeks of the year. That's true. It's actually a good point. Maybe this is the year.

11:24Maybe this is the year they are good in the month of September. Has it ever worked for anybody else? No, but maybe it'll work for us. Might make that my bio in life. Might be my mantra. Yeah. Our next wide receiver, AJ Brown playing kickoff night against the C.OX. Mitch, you got to stop letting me talk about AJ Brown on this show. I really do. Gushing about him. We have him this low because Seattle's defense is elite, which is the only downside. The only reason we do have him this slow. I think the Patriots are going to go out of their way to feed AJ Brown the ball in his first game as a Patriot. He still an absolute must start. He has wide receiver one upside still to me. I think him and T Higgins are almost like wide receiver 12 a and 12 b where I consider both of them in our wide receiver one range. I'm going to put them both on the same tier for the video, but I agree with you. It's not the greatest match up, but this is a team that I think wants to establish who AJ Brown is in this offense right away.

On to number 14, Zay flowers, the richest man in America taking on the Indianapolis Colts. I think we think about this cold defense as being really good, but they actually love the eighth most points to wire sievers in fantasy last year. And now we've got Zay paid a flowers who finished as the wide receiver 12 last year because

14:28I don't recognize week 18 production. And I think this is potentially a smash spot for a guy who this scene is telling us with their checkbook will be the focal point of the passing game. I don't know if I have as much long term belief in the upside of Zay flowers in a season long lens. But for this matchup, I really do feel good about getting him going before we start seeing guys like Elijah Sarat or guys like Jacobi Lane working more prominently into this offense. This is kind of the time of year that I think you're going to get the most out of Zay flowers. Couldn't have said it better myself. I do like Zay flowers season long, but I really like them earlier on like week one. Yeah, I feel very excited to start him week one and we'll see how I feel a month or two from now. Yeah, somebody I know we're excited about season long. Lad Maconkey take him on Arizona car. And I was like, he's our guy here. I have to line up the day of reckoning has come. It's for Lad Maconkey here in week one. Like I'm a Papa Jones. The day of reckoning Mike McDaniel Justin Herbert a healthy offensive line.

15:29A Cardinals defense that might let up more points than anyone this year. We're going to see Lad eat in week one. I could not be more excited about it. It's going to be the start of something special. I am just so excited. I'm so excited for the world to see exactly what Lad Maconkey is going to bring here in 2026 jumping to number 16 though. A guy that you are so excited about this year that I've actually been rising on, but has a very tough match up in week one. And that's for she rice taking on the Denver Broncos. We just talked last episode about how tough of a spot it is for Kenneth Walker. And unfortunately the same goes for a she rice. What isn't the same with him and Walker is we do know what rice's role will be. And he should be peppered with targets as excited as I am. And as we all are for Cyrus Allen, I would not expect a fifth round rookie to come in here and game one and steal a meaningful amount of targets from her. She rice and people will point to a poop in a coup. So did a couple of years ago, but that's not the norm. Rishi rice is going to retain his role as the highest target earner in this offense. And he should be able to volume his way into a wide receiver two spot.

16:32You're rising on Rishi rice. All I heard is you love Rishi rice now and I can be in. You didn't listen to a word. I said besides that. I just I tuned everything out as soon as you said that. No, I'd actually like him a lot more in week one if a warrant of broncos. That's a tough match up. Obviously, right. But I think besides that everything is good here in week one and that my home is probably going to be getting the ball at his hands really quickly coming off that torn ACL. Rishi rice doesn't run. Brought down the field very frequently like he is the catch and run guy of this offense. So yeah, great point. I still do like him here in week one. Next up, we have Garrett Wilson playing in Tennessee against the Titans. I think this is probably as good of a spot as any for Garrett Wilson. The Titans defense does not strike fear into anyone. I don't necessarily for C. Wilson's target share to be what it was last year season long this year. But early in the year, I think it will be close to that for the first portion of this season as the rookies they drafted high continue to catch themselves up to speed and Garrett still really the only guy there who has done it before.

17:33So I feel really solid about darting him as my wider super two. I have to say as bad as both of these offenses are. Can't you like kind of envision some big blow up spot? Well, it was weird week one games or somehow the jets and Titans like it was like 28, 24. I don't absolutely see it. I think that's totally possible with it. How bad these defenses projected how bad the defenses are. We're looking at the total right now 38 and a half. That might need to be my my matches over of the week. Titans jets, but let's move on to number 18. A guy who's a little bit more exciting at least in my mind. And that's team act. Tedero and McMillan taking on the Chicago Bears. Our guy, I feel like we have brought him up like every episode for the past seven weeks. But he's just in such a sensational spot here. We just talked last week about how he's been lighting up training camp and the team is focused on moving him around the formation and getting him more volume. Now he goes up against a Bears team that allowed the second most fancy points to wider receivers last year. I think personally we might have him too low because I think the upside is crazy in this week

18:36one spot. Yeah. And I don't think the Bears defense will be much better, but I think their offense will be and all the sun. You're looking at a really good game strip for Tedero McMillan to get 12 targets or something crazy. So I am 100% very excited about him in week one. All right. This next one is tough. It's very ambiguous. And that's the league neighbors playing against the Cowboys. Mitch has a much higher than consensus for week one, which is why we have him as high as we do here on our list. So let's start off with the obvious. He needs to play to be startable. That's that's the ground breaking next gen type of analysis you're going to get. He needs to be on the field to be startable. And it's true because if he does play, I'm worried about how effective he'll be relative to what he's been if he's not at 100%. But it sounds like he's trending in the right direction and the counterpoint is he dropped 37.7 fancy points against the Giants last year.

19:36It would be pretty cool if he did it again. I am a gregiously high here. He is my wide receiver 13. I think this is such a smash spot. I think he's looked great. I think that he's got the best quarterback he's ever played with. And I think we are going to see Malik neighbors not only shatter his ADP this season, but come out week one and just light the NFL back on fire. That'd be fun. It would be very fun. On to number 20, we've talked a little bit about the Cincinnati wire receivers. Let's go to the Tampa Bay side and talk a mecca, a buka. Obviously monitor injury reports regarding a buka's toe injury here. That could affect a lot in week one. The defensive line upgrades are notable for Cincinnati with Dexter Lawrence and Jonathan Allen coming to town. But I was still attacking the Bengal secondary here with the highest projected scoring game on the slate. If a buka plays, if he's fully ready to go, this is an unbelievable spot for him to just explode. I could not agree more. I love a mecca, a buka here in week one. If he's healthy, I really hope he is.

20:38And the off chance he's not Chris Godwin to the moon in week one. He is a. The moon is a must start if a buka. This is time. Chris Collins, like a wider receiver one. Yeah. No, I'm probably putting right where a buka is here, maybe even a little bit higher. Next though is Jalen Waddle at Kansas City. Waddle is a guy I've been heating up on throughout the summer here. And I do like him here in week one. The chiefs have a very nice well coach defense, but they're now without Trent McDuffy, who is their top cornerback over the last few years. I could see Davis, Web and Sean Peyton drawing up manufactured touches for Waddle to get him involved early. So he's a really nice wider receiver to me in week one. Yeah, he would feel really solid to me, slotting him in. Shout out to our guy, Debro from fantasy pros. We know he's been all over the jail and Waddle train all off season. This is a decent spot to kind of get it read on what his role is going to be. We've talked about this a little bit, but like take advantage here in week one. And don't just look at the fantasy football output.

21:38Look at how they're using this guy. Where is he getting his snaps? How many snaps is he getting routes run targets? All that stuff. I'm really excited to see how they use him in an offense that had the fourth highest pass rate last season. And if that keeps up, Jalen Waddle could be in an absolutely explosive spot. Let's move on to number 22 here, though. Let's talk about Devonte Adams taking on the San Francisco 49ers in Australia. Melo, I'm going to say something. What if we have spent all summer spewing the words regression and Devonte Adams in the same sentence over and over and over again, and he just comes out and is Devonte Adams. That's possible. Again, San Francisco last year, he went five for 88 and six for 77 with a touchdown. I don't have a reason yet to believe that he is not going to come out with a similar role. And so for me, lock him in as a higher upside wide receiver to play. Yeah. As somebody who's been scared to click that button all summer for Devonte Adams, I'm starting him here in week one. As far as I know, he's perfectly healthy. He's still going to be a part of this offense.

22:40He's still going to be the goal line running back lined up at receiver. So yeah, I think he's in a really good spot in that same game. We have Mike Evans coming in next. The groin is concerning me. That's my only point of hesitation. But if he is healthy, I'm in. I'm totally not starting Mike Evans here in week one. The Niners might be forced to air it out too. If Stafford and the Rams pick back up from where they left off last year, like we talked about with Vonte Adams and Bukka Nikua. Trent McDuffey, who I mentioned earlier, is now a ram that could be an issue for Evans. But it doesn't worry me enough to bench him. I can just see it now. The goal line fade to Mike Evans as he becomes the first player to ever score an NFL touchdown in Australia. Yeah, he is the Devonte Adams of 2026, if you will. Yeah, absolutely. Let's move on to our next guy here. Luther Burton, the third heading to Carolina. And we got the news. Burton is going to be good to go for week one after the groin injury. So it's time to put all this to the test.

23:40Is Luther Burton really the guy for the Bears? Let's find out. I feel like we don't need to belabor the conversation of the third and yards for our run, but he only exploded in a couple games down the stretch. We just got to see it here. I think it would be malpractice not to have him ranked as a wide receiver too, which is why we have him here. But this is not necessarily the most inviting matchup with Carolina. If Luther Burton really is Ben Johnson's next on the raw, I'm excited to see it. So I'm just pumped to watch this game. This is going to be one of the guys I'm watching the closest to see who was right and who was wrong this off season. Yeah, as a football fan, I'm just excited for this phone. And I know people are going to overreact. If Luther Burton does nothing, people are going to overreact and say he's a bust. And if he overreacting to a week one of the NFL season, we would never us football. We would never. But those were our top 24 wide receivers for NFL week one.
