And today, Mitchell and I have a special guest, this week one Seahawks Patriots. So we had to bring somebody in. I don't think we could have brought in a better guest. He played 12 NFL seasons and across the regular season of playoffs. He recorded 738 receptions, 8,264 receiving yards, and a whopping 41 touchdowns. He was a seventh round pick who entered the league as a quarterback, became one of the footballs most trusted postseason receivers. One, three super balls earned Super Bowl MVP after 10 catches, 141 yards against the Rams and was recently inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame. He's 118 postseason catches and 1442 postseason receiving yards, both ranked third in NFL playoff history.

3:17Julian Edelman, welcome to the show, brother. Appreciate you joining us. Jules, tomorrow Seattle gets to raise the banner. And the New England Patriots are coming into a very hostile environment, a very emotionally charged environment, because the Seahawks are raising their Super Bowl banner. How much does that emotional setting matter for the New England Patriots, especially in week one? I think circumstantial. This is like, it's a tough, this is probably what you thought about all offseason if you're a New England Patriot, because the team that sent you home in the last game of the year is raising their banner. The first time you're stepping those cleats on the field this year. So I don't know how they're feeling, but if I was in those, you know, my in the uniform still, I would have been like, this is a perfect day to rain on a parade. It's a perfect day to rate on a parade.

4:20This is a perfect you mad bro. Right, right. It's vice versa. Excessive. If we were to have to play you guys after that, you know, our quarterback do it to the other guy at the one. That would have been, that would have been quite a game. That would have been quite a game. But I'm sure Braves didn't have any problem like motivating them this training camp. You know, when you got them on the other end of the tunnel, I'm sure he had a. He had an easy time waking up and getting his team fired up every single day to go to work 1000%. I, you know, knowing Braves a little bit and knowing where he came from because I was in that same system, the whole Patriot, quote, unquote, way. You know, I think they do a good job of, yeah, we're playing Seattle week one. And you're going to think about that the week of the game. But going into everything you're probably thinking about how do we get our team.

5:20Better each every day. If you can get a team like focused on literally just trying to improve daily and almost put those blinders on them. To make them think like nothing else really matters. And if you get guys that that's when like good teams happen, at least that I was a part of. You know, everyone was really focused on what we had inside the building, which Braves came from that. So I can only imagine he's probably preaching the same kind of things in a different type of communication factor because you know he's Braves. So that's that's how I think they've kind of handled this now ramping up to the week of the game. Like that's when the game playing goes and yes, they probably had a few wrinkles that they've been working on. Like opening days crazy no matter who you're playing. This game's not going to define either of these teams years the whole year. So I think that both these organizations understand that. But do understand it's you know, it's still one of the 17 games you play.

6:24You got to go out and win. Julian, you know, you've played in front of Rockets crowds before Seattle is known to get loud from a receiver's perspective. How much harder is it to communicate a gesture routes and stay on the same page with a quarterback with these guys going into Lumenfield? Well, you know, whenever we go into a loud stadium, coaches would always preach, oh, it's easy for the receivers. You guys go on the ball anyways, which is not the case always. I mean, I always tried to get a quick jump. So I was going, you know, I was watching ball kind of hearing as well. But you know, traditionally the receiver is going off the ball. So that won't that won't change it all. But when it comes to communication in the huddle hearing a play, seeing personnel groups opening day in a hostile environment, which Seattle is top three outdoor stadiums that I've ever played in. And I've played in Pady top two, you know, it does, it does take up a little bit of a getting used to for the offense and the receivers.

7:27But, you know, I can only assume that they've been preparing for that. We all have been to the NFL practices where they throw on the music, super loud. No one can hear anything's both coaches are just saying let the player play and you're working your nonverbal communication skills with the quarterback. So I can only imagine they're probably working for that. I think I think it's going to be great. I think it's going to be great. I'm looking forward to drink May and seeing how he responds. Obviously, Seattle has a very tough defense, a tough defensive scheme. They lost some guys in a secondary Kobe Bryant and Tarek Woolin, but still have Devon with her spoons. Still have Julian love, still have a lot of playmakers back there. Still have Ernest Jones and then that ferocious front. What do you think that the key is going to be if New England is going to have a chance to win this game? A hostile environment, we talked about all the things and as we both know, football talk will tell you, hey, bring your defense, pack your defense in your run game.

8:28And don't turn the football over, but let's go a little deeper than that. Yeah, I think the Patriots are going to have to manufacture a run game, have long methodical drives, get their shiny new toys, couple plays early to get them into the system and get them motivated for the not just this game, but for the year. I do think, you know, Ramon, Jerry Stevenson on first down is going to be huge. First down is going to be a big play for the Patriots because they're going to want to stay on schedule. And if they, you know, if you go first down and then we're in second and 11 or we're second and nine, we didn't do anything. You're behind in the count with how they probably want to try to play the game. So I can anticipate that. I can anticipate that they'll they got they get a half to do well in the red area, which they struggled in last year, but bringing in AJ Brown, that instantly makes your red area 10 times more better, not just in the past game, but in the run game as well, because when you have a guy like, can you're going to see a lot of split safety potential, double the slots,

9:39cover seven, those are double the slots, you know, so then you get good run look. So AJ Brown, having a guy like him, they needed that because they struggled in the red area last year, ranking in like 20 through back of the pack. So they're going to have to do good in the red area, come away with touchdowns. And they can't turn the ball over. Like you said, that's the old cliche can't turn the ball, you know, and, and I think they're going to have to try to stop the run. And, you know, it's going to be interesting with the edge of the Patriots, they got a couple new guys, Landry's been banged up, he hasn't played all camp, they got a great interior defense line. It will be interesting to see the situation with the second area, they're going to have to, you know, I think they're going to have to stop the run game for the Seattle Seahawks, because. When I talked with them, the Seahawks in the production meetings, I got to cover them in a preseason game with Fox. You know, they kind of just, they knew their system, they know they have a really good defense, they know they have really good, you know, skill guys on offense, but they know that they want to play to that really good defense, and they want to continue to try to run the football.

10:54And I got from here and all this just meet with everyone in there, you know, that they got flurry in there comes from that West Coast system, which Sam has been a part of, you know, and it's really good with that play action. So, you know, I think they're going to have to Patriots are going to have to stop that run, make them make Sam Darnold go out and play in that dropback pass game and make him make mistakes. That's how you beat the Seattle Seahawks. It's going to be a wash on special teams Seattle's freaking really great on special teams. Patriots always bring the hammer on special teams. So like it's going to come down to literally who's going to not turn the ball over and who's going to run the football probably to me. That was this I just went off on a tangent. That was crazy. What are different things? I don't matter. I'm not mad at it. Football is back folks and you need to change the way you invest in the NFL this season. Tom Brady, you get him for a number of years. Takes you guys to the promised land. Obviously you played a crucial role in a number of those super balls. And now the New England Patriots quickly find Drake May. And he looks to be another diamond. What areas of improvement do you think he can, he needs to make to get this team to win the Super Bowl? Obviously going to the Super Bowl last year was a huge surprise for the majority of the sports community. But he was there. What areas do you think he needs to improve upon to get them past that final push and win the Super Bowl? I think he needs to improve on when things aren't going well still being able to be productive. When you don't have a left tackle, your left your left tackles getting beat all day. How do we still be able to move the football, change this, you know, protection schemes or get us into right plays or getting rid of the ball quick?

18:18I want to see him in those situations improved because you know it got you look at that old the Super Bowl. You know they couldn't really protect and it got out of hand in the score. It looked like it was closer than it was, but it really wasn't. And he kind of he kind of fell away. Now there's a lot of circumstances to that they were he was banged up the offense line was a little banged up. But you know I want to see him when thing I want to see him be able to you know move around the pocket and make productive plays when like we're not producing on the offense line. Or we don't our receivers aren't getting open or we may I can't run the football today. How you know what I mean I want to see it was hairy moments. You just got I mean because he had a I mean this guy was second and MVP. So I mean what else can you ask for and you're going to anticipate that's going to get better with the addition of AJ Brown and and dobs and already have him continuity with you know. Little pop Douglas and Henry like they have good thing going there.

19:21So second year in the system. I think it's going to naturally get better because he's going to know the language a lot more. But like that's what I would like to see him improve on. I think I like what he did last year obviously played a great season had a great season. But his relationship with Josh McDaniel is obviously a lot different than what Tom's was because you know when you have the credibility you have the rapport you have. You know everything that Tom had obviously Josh. Josh's role is different when you have a young quarterback that you're trying to develop and you're trying to make comfortable and help. Be successful in the league you got to you got to you know do a little bit be a little bit more deliberate with what you want out of him and what you want to see. So I understand what you're saying. You want to see him be better in those situations but how much has has Josh McDaniel evolved since since you were there. I think he's evolved a lot just playing to the strengths of what Drake does he you know like there's a lot more moving the pocket a lot more roll outs.

20:28You know we didn't really do that necessarily with Tom as much as Tom wanted to do but you know we understood he was he loved that spot seven yards behind the the center so I would say that incorporating a lot more these kind of like RPO things it a little bit of it because they have a guy that can do it like Drake May. He also allow you know probably coaching into Drake May if one two three is not there hey go go you know like he's never been able to coach that you know he's been with the guy that's using the pocket doing those things so you know a lot of the same stuff is the same stuff as you know as we all know coaches are who they are it's different cars say or different license plate same cars. We always used to say so but there's so much Tom could do I mean Tom got the ball out really quick decisions were made before the balls even snap didn't have a problem you know giving you death by a thousand cuts he'll check it down 15 times and not not that an eyelash these young kids are a lot more impatient and have you had any you're going into the system Drake's it's a Tom that was refined after.

21:49In the being in the same system for 20 years you know I mean so it gets each year if you're a quarterback that's learning from a stake and learning through experience with how the rules are the game should be getting easier that's what Tom would always say the game gets easier the more I know. You know I mean could those kind of things so I think you know another compounded year with McDaniel's those things will you'll start to see that from Drake may now not to the capacity of what Tom was because he got 20 years on the kid but like I think that's where when we talked about what do you want to see improvement from with Drake may that right there sure. Julian Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez has missed a number of practices have been contract negotiations we just saw Devon witherspoon become the highest paid cornerback in the NFL how important is it that they get a deal done before the season starts and what is it dude for the team without him there at practice.

22:55I think it's important to get a deal done you want your guys especially guys that are you know foundational pieces of your team you want them to be happy going into a season and because that energy regardless of how a guy is handling it in the locker room being a pro or not there's still an energy that is miscued between every relationship every guy has a different point of view of it some guys are with it some guys are with you. There's no matter what you say there's always different perspectives so when these kind of things are happening so I think it'd be a lot better for them to get it done before the season and Christian Gonzalez is very important I mean it's kind of like if you have a premier corner or do you have a premier defense event the good defense events going to get the ball out quicker the good corner you know hold coverage longer so that's what I'm going to do.

23:55You know the defensive end who's maybe not miles Garrett can get it a little longer second to get a pass rush so I mean he's a huge part of that defense they love using him letting him go and follow guys and he's shown he's one of the best to do it in the league so I it's important for them to get it done and he's a huge part of everything about their defense. And I thought he did a good job this this offseason just you know he didn't hold out didn't hold any went to work did his thing and I think he put himself in the best position to get a deal done to you know to give the team no reason not to give him his money I'll say this I'll say this I don't think it's going to be much much more than what what with her spoon got I think you know it whether it's a hundred thousand more or whatever the case may be it's going to be barely more than what he got so I think the that it's whoever goes first so. If Gonzalez would have got paid first with her spoon would have got a hundred thousand more.

24:55They made so we're going on so it's I don't think I think good faith by Christian Gonzalez was showing up I think that's part of the deal. He can do it for sure I'm here to ask the important question of the day guys who wins this game I need to score from both of you. Who wins the game. Look man that's a long flight. On the Seattle from Boston could be the second longest flight national football league not including international place. You're going to you're going into an environment that that 12 man that plays against a rocket. They're getting point eight on the Richter scale for him pointed all Richter scale. They got banner dropage they got banners coming down number two.

26:00Twenty of 22 starters coming back and they got price who's pretty good. Why do I feel like you're setting something up for fall here you know what I mean they got a lot of stuff. Schneider man my guy snipes knows how to make a team and McDonald he's got them going in the right direction. Well I think the Patriots I think the Patriots go up in there with that taste in the back of their throat that they've had all off season you know that pause pause pause. You know that you know that taste when you have like a bad taste of medicine or something that kind of things get your your mind out of the gutter rich. I'm sorry I'm sorry that kind of taste and I think with the new addition AJ Brown the reinforcements of the offense align. I think that all the stuff that I said that they haven't been thinking about it they've been thinking about it I'll go.

27:07Twenty eight Seattle twenty four. Oh you go hey hey now hey now say now. Hey now say now. Actually twenty eight twenty four twenty eight that would be twenty one twenty twenty four twenty eight. No yeah twenty seven twenty eight twenty seven. Okay what's the spread like that? Eight years your mine is five four. Oh you're going you're you're talking to the Vegas the gamblers there. I mean those two somehow they pin it out they are pretty they have good every time. They are they are pretty good they are pretty on it no you know I'm going 2829 or 2827 Patriots upset. I just think Drake May everyone's been saying oh Patriots schedules been so easy last year everyone's been talking. year, everyone's been talking about how it's been so easy for the Patriots.

28:10And what they do this off season, they literally added to everything they needed. Maybe could have used another edge guy, but we'll see. We'll see that they had the ocus kid, the second router. So, you know, I think the Patriots going and I think they put a little something in there. Okay. Okay. I'll give you my opinion. I hear you, Jules. Come on. Let's hear it. I'll tell you this. The Seahawks lost the Superbowl MVP Kenneth Walker replaced him with Jadarian price. And from what I've seen in training camp, he's going to be a fun kid to watch run the football. Yeah. I know there's some concern there. Mitchell has shown some concern there. Mitchell. I think they're going to be over right there. They have the reigning offensive player to year Jackson Smith and Jigba. They have a guy who didn't have a great rapport with Sam Dornell last year and Rashid Shaheed,

29:10who they've worked on all season extensively in all pro returner, by the way. Very good. Let's not forget the the prior, the former triple crown winner Cooper Cup, who's always a nice safety blanket. Yeah. A royal has had a great training camp. My guy Barnyard is going to factor in at the tidy and position and then the defense. Then we're going to talk about the defense. Sam Dornell has his struggles during the regular season. He didn't have them in the playoffs. And I think he's going to have a spectacular regular season this year. I think he's going to be in the running for MVP. I don't know if he'll win it, but he's going to be he's going to be in the running because they're going to be a great team. And they're going to be winning football games. I think defensively is where they are just too strong and too, too tough to deal with. I think that offensive line with another year together with Charles Crosse and and Gabe Zabel. And and Jalen Sundell and Anthony Bradford played really well in his bowl.

30:14I think my pick there. And then defensively, that's where it's bad. Everybody got paid on defense. Everybody got the money. They just gave Leonard Williams his money. Byron Murphy could have easily been an all pro. Last year, he's going to monsters. The Marcus Lawrence is still there. Jalen Reed is still there. And then you got Ernest Jones and Huchina. And then you got the guy who got paid to stay, um, who's to stay around. There's just as as I keep looking at it. I don't know. Just I'm having a hard time seeing seeing a way New England is going to beat this team and they're hungry. It's not like we watched this. Under the radar. And they spent under the radar. Under the radar. Talk about the Rams. Bro, if you came to training camp, I'm just saying that if you came to training camp, it felt like I told Mike.

31:14They look elite. They look great. It felt it felt New England. And it's like, it's like, Donald. You didn't even free. They have good. You don't even realize I want a super bowl. He's from New England. It felt New England. It's like you guys just went blue collar right back to work. No, I don't see anybody in a commercial. Like, you know, after super balls, Jules, you'll expect to see guys. You know, folks, commercials. Those commercials. That's a, that's actually like GQ magazine. Something. These guys, you didn't hear from them at all. Just got back to work. And that's the part that has me really, really terrified for the league. And I know everybody's like, oh, Rams, Rams, Rams. And I think Rams going to be great. Super Bowl's they never been one on paper as you know. Nobody had New England going last year. People damn sure didn't have Seattle going. If we went by the paper, be a lot different Super Bowl champions every year. I got Seattle 28 17.

32:17I mean, it's going to be a fun game. Because there's so many. And that's what's great about this sport. You know, especially with this opener, you got two premiere, premiere organizations. You know, New England Patriots, six time Super Bowl champs, you got Seattle who. They're always in a Super Bowl every like five years, but look, change. They literally have changed their identity and it got back to like, that's where a remarkable stuff. Like and you guys could have had more obviously a generate. You guys do generational things in Seattle. And and I think this is going to be a must watch game. I can't wait to watch it. It's going to be I agree. I don't think people's given enough credit for last year. Like they they basically gutted their offense and then went to the so they kind of ran through people. They did they were hard to beat the one game they lost. The last time they lost was in LA after Sam through four interceptions.

33:20And that was like off of a 65 yard field goal to Tim our 67 yard field goal to Tim that fell short. And if they were to hit that, they would win that game where he threw where he probably played as bad as he could could have played. So I just I got to talk with Sam this off season in that production meeting with Fox and you know, he was like disappointed with his Super Bowl. Like he and and he didn't even play a bad Super Bowl. Like he may be a missed a couple throws, but he didn't do anything to jeopardize the team. But the fact that he went into the off season like angry about winning a Super Bowl. Like you said, that hunger. That's what you need to be continually great. You need to have your leaders be continually hungry. And and whether you like it or not, Sam Darnold is a leader of that offense and a huge impact leader on that team. No, it's guys a Super Bowl win in quarterback. And it's not like he just love everyone keeps on trying to say it was like Trent

34:23Dillford. Oh, the guy in Minnesota the year before on what was getting MVP talks until you know, week, week 17, you know, I mean, like this guy was lighten it up. Then so he's back to back lit it up. And if he eliminates a quarter of his take or turnovers, he's going to be like significantly better. And he's and they want because he's in a system that kind of, I talked to Flurry about that. What's the carryover? And he goes, oh, it's 50, 50, but they know a lot of this stuff. So like you're going to get same continuity. I mean, he's going to eat. Sam can explode. I think he's got a cool demeanor about him. He a hundred percent and he's a winner. Like and I know it sounds crazy, you know, because everybody judges you off your pass and what you were before. But if you judge it off the last few years, he's a winner. 14 wins last year, 14 wins the year before. At some point you got to start believing like he has something to do with that. And I think people get away from giving him the credit that he deserves because

35:27they're like, oh, well, he was a bus. I think it's hard to say that right now because definitely no. He's playing too well. He like when you win 14 games, even if you have the best defense in the world, even you got to be doing something. But if you win 14 games a second time, 14 who traded away their number one receiver, who their number two receiver or number three receiver, they let walk and free agency. They took their number two receiver and said, you're the number one receiver. And that's what we're going with. And he goes out and went offensive MVP. You draft the offensive lineman, a left guard in the first round and you trust him and ride that offensive line all the way to the Super Bowl. While the quarterback who you got from Minnesota, leads the league in turnovers. You get the one seat. Yeah, it's he goes through the playoffs and doesn't turn the ball over once. That's the place. He played his best football at the last part of the year. You know, like that, that when you start playing your, your best football on your most important games, that's when people start looking like, okay,

36:32okay, at least for me. You make it plays a big game. That's, that's when, because you know, that's, that's, that's when you make your money in that regular season. You make your name in that post season. Talk about it. Talk about it. And that's why I just feel like Drake May is going to go in there feeling like him and him is palms are sweaty. These weak arms are heavy. There's vomit on the sweater already. It's mom spaghetti's nerves. Yeah, but I think he's got a little cool factor going over there too. Drake's, Drake's got this like Southern, like North Carolina cool guy thing that he, the swag that he has, very humble kind of self, you know, deprecating kind of thing. Like, no, man, it's you, but like he'll go hit 79 and Augusta like he did with our, our owner. He'll go, go light up, you know, the, the threes in a shootout. He'll go hit 10 bombs and bass. This guy, he's a stud and he's the grunt of a bunch of studs, which makes me

37:34even like him even more. Yeah, all bunch of older brothers. He knows how to be in a team. And once again, very similar to Donald, it's the hungry factors of these guys that would make them special or, you know, you make them, makes me attracted to their play. You know, it's the hunger because anyone could do it for a year. Not anyone. It a lot of guys do it for a year, but like really good, great guys. They continually do it because the league is so smart. They figure out in a year, they study you for an offseason. And then like, that's, that's what happens. You know, I mean, so guys that could continually do it, you know, they don't get complacent. They don't think what they've done is enough for what they do. They always want to learn. I think that's what these two guys have. I want to talk a little bit about your guys playing days. You guys have had your fair share of battles. Some worked out good for you, Julian. Some worked out good for you, Richard. I know one in mind that worked out a lot better for jewels than it did Richard.

38:35That being said, you know, the Legion of Boom is going to go down in history as one of the best secondaries in football, if not the best. As a wide receiver, what was it like going against the Legion of Boom? Man, when we were preparing for this, this game, and it's, it's like a, a bad, it was like a badge of honor to get to go against a secondary, a defense. Like this, you know, you got Earl, you got Sherman, you got Chancellor, you have Max, like all these guys had their own little twist to the game and they all played as a unit tight together. So like they did what they did, but they were so good and so in unison that they could beat you with you knowing with, with what they're doing. Because that's how fundamentally athletics or fundamentally sound they were. They played to get like, it's just, it was like a badge of honor to get

39:38to play and compete against that because that's how good they were. It was a no fly zone. You know, I played against a bunch of really good defenses, the old Baltimore's, you know, Seattle, those Denver days, those early Von Miller, no fly zone, Denver days like, you know, you play against these types of defenses as a, as a unit in the receiver room, you know, you know, you got to bring your egg in, you're watching extra film, you're working extra after practice, you're communicating, we're meeting after practice as a unit like because you have to, because if you don't, they expose you and they make you look silly. Right. So that's what it was like when you played against you knew what they were doing. It was such a chess mental chess game and I hate watching that game because when Jay Lane went out, you guys's plan became very clear and there was nothing we could do about it. You guys went after our other corner and three touchdowns on him later and it was like, well, this was, this was fun.

40:42Can't really, we didn't, we didn't factor for, for guys getting injured and not, but you guys had such a great game plan. I remember the first play of the game. We were in, we were in something we called Reno, which, and it was base, it was base and you guys motioned and motioned, you may motion Bruce Irvin all the way outside and we honestly had never rented that scenario. It was, it was a, it was a one off of a one off of a one off that nobody had ever done it to us in base. And we were like, and we were like, what the hell? I mean, the rules are the rules. So you got to go out there, Bruce, but in that scenario, I was supposed to stay at the line and it was going to be a one on one with Bruce and Grant. And so I end up like trying to back up to safety and just like give space to be like, hey, I don't know what this is, but I guarantee you they want me pressed at the line and want to throw a fade here. I'm not about to just let them throw a fade like throw it to the bubble here or throw something short, but I'm not about to just let y'all dictate what we're doing because this is crazy. And you can't check to the coaches at that point.

41:43You can't call a timeout and say, hey, we've never seen this before. Let's figure it out. But that's the cool part about being in Super Bowl and having that much time to prepare for one another is that you really know each other so intimately that everybody's going to study the tape and study the things that you did against one another to try to beat these teams. Like when we played you guys and we played Denver in the Super Bowl, they ran that seven pump, the corner and go against our cover three. And it was a beater. It was a it was the post the scissors with the seven. Yeah. And it was a super beater. And we take that corner with you and then he runs a little that new wheel. Yep. So what how you get to it, the seven and then pump regardless. A lot of the times these guys they'll do it like an option at really sell it slow. And then they go so you get the separation. You hit that thing window. Yeah. And those for you guys. I mean, you guys were you guys ran that cover six,

42:43but it was like matched it brand like man, but it was in, but it was. And then you had flat zone defenders coming out of note with the guy doing over here. You know what I mean? So like we that we did that first play. And then how did Grunk score about a quarter later when we the same thing, but they took when you showed it. It was that was that was the first play of the game. And we set that play that we threw to Grunk and we said, all right, we saw how you guys played it. You were going to match it. And you guys, you can manipulate the coverage and base. You guys probably only had three coverages. Right. Three or four. And we knew it was going to be really hard to run on you guys early downs. So we were going to have to have some kind of, we were going to try to throw the ball as much as we could on early. And our plan and our plan was for Cam to cover Grunk. But our coaches did some idiotic nonsense on the Saturday before the game and literally

43:47ran this nonsense coverage because in our goal line situations, we ran like, you know, obviously corners are off the field. It's just linebacker safeties and D line. And you guys would always break out into the two, you know, sin, Grunk and whoever the other tied in out and open it up to throw Grunk a fade or a slant. Yeah. And we were like, cool, you know, that's that's going to be cool. Cam stand up, figured out. And our coaches, you know, spinkters tight, make an up shit and you never make up shit in Super Bowl. We decided, hey, we're going to buzz Malcolm Smith under the slant. So Cam, you just have to cover the fade and we'll have it done. But it's like, we've never done that. Like Cam, Cam's an all pro. Just stand up. You know, I mean, if they score, then they were better than us, you know, but I don't think they're, you know, it's not going to be an easy play. And so while we were running through that play, Cam does everything full speed. So Cam's covering it full speed. We're in a Saturday Malcolm Smith buzzes into Cam's knee tears as MCL on Saturday. Well, he, I tell you right now on that first play, it was a run when we, we motioned it,

44:51zoomed in, we to get the formation indicator to see what we were going to get. I had to go in and block Cam on that force. He never felt the guy that felt more rooted to the ground. I knocked myself out in the first play with him. And like you said, the gentleman about it, like I would have tried. I would always go light to save the up on that first play to let him know that we're here to play, baby. That would Cam. He lights me up. I'm like, Oh, crap. I'm stumbled. I'm like, what the? He's like, good job. You're a bit or he was just like, I forgot what he said, but he was like, really cool. I'm like, right. I went back to the hut. I said, yeah. It was funny, man. That was a fun game. It was a really fun game. I don't know a lot that game because of the net our next one with the 28 to three, but that, that was like such a exciting, incredible, heart-fault-plating, super bowl. Like it was just crazy.

45:54It was crazy. And then our guy, Chris Matthews comes out of nowhere and like is having the game of his life. I don't know if he had a catch before that day. And that was a great way by Malcolm on that seat. A seat of phenomenal play, phenomenal. And then that interception, that's what blew me away is you never picked that. Like it usually bounces off your chest and it's like to the ground. Yeah. You know, that Malcolm had an unbelievable game for, you know, a undrafted kid. To who's literally working at Popeyes. That, you know, that's the story. The whole mouth. Undrafted kid and replaces a guy in a super bowl, mid game. And like we're relying on this kid. And like he comes in, he had a couple of those scenes that like that, that he, he, P.V. Ud. And then he plays that play and like you're like, damn, that was a great play. If you see his extension and how he accelerates with his eyes, you know, like he's got like a really cool max skill at that. And then play happens, but they come back and have the mental fortitude to still like.

46:59Break, like pull the trigger break. A lot of guys could put their tail between the legs on that one mouth. 100% like that. That's right. You got to tip your young kid undrafted dude. Like the time in between the work is what we've tried to capture is like, you know, when you have, when you have 10 minutes before your next meeting and you go back to your locker and you got your homeboys there and you guys, you see that play button? You see that? You guys, you guys may like argue, you may agree, you may do some, some guy may come sniper a comment from somewhere that you're like, what the hell? 52:14It's been fun being able to continue to work with Gronk, but also to be in football and to be part of the fanbase of football. And that's kind of what Gronk and Jules show is, you know, just, you know, another group of guys that may have played in the game, but just like you guys, we're all fans of the game. We want to just continue to talk about it and be involved in it because it's been such a pleasure and a privilege to get to play in the league and, and, and do the things that we've done. know this, but Richard was actually in a commercial with Gronk years ago, and he drove a tandem bike with Richard and Gronk. I remember that. That was great. No, but oh, those jerky. Before we let you go, Jules, what's the wildest story that you can share on the show of you and Gronk? Oh, uh, one year Rob had a broken arm, and I had a broken foot, and it was the off season.

53:18And you know, we get the whole memo before leaving out from Memorial Day weekend. We go to this place called Fagawi in Man Tucket. It's like these boat races. It's like a crazy party or like 25, 28, whatever, 26, 24. And you know, let's not be, let's not be a big story. We hear in the memo from our, our, our coaches. We don't need distractions. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Well like me and Rob are at, I think, bro, what is it? Cisco Brewery, and we're rolling around. And like there's a huge crowd or so we're going somewhere and we're on a golf cart and we both jump on. I'm in a boot. He's got a broken arm. The golf cart is takes off. We both fall out. And like it's a huge like viral clip that goes around and barstool and all this stuff at that time. We get in back to the facility when we come back as a team.

54:21The first thing we get up is our two still called all of our best players are out here. Can't even, we can't even get healthy. This is how you know what I mean. So you made it the example out of us and we're just sitting there like look at it. It's like man. It was off limits. But that's so many fun times. The first time I met Graw or the first time out of training camp, you know what the rook easy, you don't really know who they are until that first like training camp exit go out. You know what I mean? You're like everyone's like camp mode. So you're in like sweats. You never in like a real environment. The first time I see Graw in a real environment, Brad a club in Boston or downtown splat. It's called splash or something. And I see this big ass dude. No one knew who he was at the time because it was he wasn't the Graw. Which later changed.

55:21He was like a beetle anywhere he went anywhere with Graw. Right, right. Still. And so he goes and I see this guy sweating profusely through a long button down shirt. Dancing on the dance floor doing this crazy gronk move thing he does by himself mind you. Like well, people look at it like what the heck is going on? I'm like walking in and he walks off. And there's this lady going to serve food and he just grabs like a handful of shrimp and he eats it. He says what's up, jewels. It like daps me up. I like this guy. He's a beauty. This guy's a beauty. That's the that's the Graw. That's the Graw. I love it. I love Rob every time I run into a man. It's like the quintessential like Jock. The every stereotype of a Jock is what Graw gets. He's actually really smart knows ball, but likes to have a good time likes to.

56:26Please like to have a good. He's like secretly like really, really smart. Right. Right. He's really really smart. People don't, people don't understand like whenever you see Grom throw out like a, a math problem to him and he'll freaking answer it in like 10 seconds. Like quick. And he's really good with numbers, bro. I always, because he always be, you know, we'd be talking. You hear what that guy can't try to do that. He's like, oh, yeah, you got to do the. I got you know, he break it down and I'm like, oh, damn. Right, right, right, right, right, right. Don't let it go too far. You know, people don't want to, people don't want to understand that side of him. But you know, that's not here nor there. He's a good time though, but he's also one of the most genuine, like human beings you'll ever meet. Like he's, he's actually super inspiring to hear around daily like just because whatever he does, he works really hard at he's just in his own little world. The guy doesn't care about anything, but like his family, his friends and like doing a

57:27good job at whatever he's doing and having fun at it. I like, he works super R and he, whenever you do like a commercial with Groanker anything, like he'll know his lines like insanely well, like he's, he's just a great worker. He's got a great attitude. Like I try to tell my daughter about Groan. We need to be like little, we need to be a little baby Groan. He's great worker. Oh, he's works. And you're like, you know, I'm really not, I'm really not the kind of friend I thought I was. See, maybe that's just, you know, that's why it's awesome to have a girl teammate. That's very thoughtful. Right. Right. I'm just experiencing that, bro. You're using your bunch of A-hole dogs. That's it. I see you. I see you. Look, never talk about anything. Hey, all right, doggy. But last year, I just keep going back to that Mac Jones Kendrick Bourne game where they were able to go to LA and win that game. Both teams, you know, people are acting like the Rams were the favorites last year and did all these crazy things. But, they have the same record as the San Francisco 49ers.

1:07:41So, it's, it's really not as crazy as you think it is. Because the San Francisco 49ers had that record with an incredibly banged up team. They lose George Kittle, Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, all these incredibly elite players that are top five at their position. And they were still able to have that record and have a chance going down a stretch and had a chance at the one seat. Had they found a way to win against Seattle, what was that week 17? And so, I think you got to be careful with the other Rams. And obviously, Sean McVeigh talked about them coming in a day before the game. And on the flip side, you talked to the San Francisco 49ers and they explained the analytics and the data and all the things behind them coming in a week early and how the people who went to Australia to kind of, to kind of scope it out before felt like, hey, after three days, you know, they were still dragging and they still felt, you know, sluggish. So, that's why the San Francisco 49ers are going out so much earlier. Now, I think the Rams are banking on them just kind of never feeling that,

1:08:43never, never understanding that they've been traveling. And by the time they feel jet lag, they'll be back in LA. But I think that's going to have a factor. I think, do I think that Aaron Donnell and Miles Garrett are going to factor into this game? No question about it. But I also think that, uh, Trent McDuffy and Watson aren't, I don't know if I feel like they fit this scheme as well as they fit Spagnolia scheme. And that's the question I have. How are they going to fit? Now, they, are they great players in his league? No question about it. You're not, we're not questioning their talent or, or impact, but they're man to man corners. And it's not like the Rams are going to play a ton of man to man coverage. And so can they adjust to that style? Can they be as dominant as they were in that style of the play? I know that Mike Evans is going to, to, to, to, they're going to try to feature Mike Evans in this offense. They're going to obviously feature Christian McAfry. It looks like Nick Bolsa and George Kiddor are making a trip and training in the right direction. Nick Bolsa is the key factor to this defense.

1:09:44If he can go and he's healthy and he's explosive and he looks like the Nick Bolsa, the Nicholas John Bolsa that won defense of player in a year, a few years ago, that makes his defense a lot more dangerous. We got some question marks in a secondary, but I know that Cal Shanahan in this offense are going to be at a score points. If they can keep Brock Purti upright and that's a big if in this game, then I feel really comfortable with them in this game. And you'll know early on how this game is going to go. Like in the first couple of drives, if they can keep him upright, he's going to deal. He's one of the best quarterbacks in national football league and his report and his connection with Cal Shanahan is impeccable right now. So I think they're giving themselves the best chance to win. But if they can't keep him upright, that's when the struggles and that's when the concerns come in. So Richard, who do you got one in this one? You're going against the MVP at a league and Matthew Stafford. You got Pukin' the Cool and Devonte Adams, Kyron Williams, a really, really, really incredible offense from Shawn McVeigh of the Rams.

1:10:47Obviously on paper, one of the best defenses, you're putting two former defensive players to years on the same D-line, potentially, along with some other really good players. Really, really good cornerplay. I just think the travel factor is going to be a factor. I think that Kyle is going to find a way to try to neutralize his past rush to some degree. It's first game of the season. You got to work out the Kings and wrinkles and Kyle's going to have this team as prepared as as any team. Stribbling is going to probably have a really, really impactful game, you know, not being able to be doubled because Mike Evans is going to take the attention. If you don't double Mike Evans, if you don't show him the attention he deserves, then he's going to make you pay. I got San Francisco 2427 or 2724. That's going to surprise a lot of people. Obviously, again, it has been a loud off season for the San Francisco 49ers.

1:11:49Dejan love. What will he do in this game? And that's a question on everyone's mind right now, Richard. I mean, let's get right to it. I mean, he'll have his helmet. That's for sure. NFL on Netflix is back and better than ever. The Cowboys traveled to New York to face the vision rival to New York Giants. John Harball's debut for the Giants. This Giants team is young, they're hungry, they were injured last year, key position players. You got Malik neighbors going out with an ACL injury. He's going to be coming back. How is he physically right now? It came scataboo. Obviously he suffered a gruesome injury. He'll be back.

1:13:52John Harball is looking to put his fingers on this team and mold them the way that we saw the Ravens play. Do you like them at all in this matchup against Dallas with Dak Prescott, CD Lam, etc? I give him a punches chance, but again, I feel I just have a hard time betting against this Dallas Cowboys offense. I know how explosive they're going to be. You know what CD Lam has been? George Pickens is very motivated and played fantastic last season, especially in CD Lam's absence. When CD Lam was a little banged up, George Pickens usually picked up the slack in a big way. Dak Prescott can still deal with the best of them. I think they feel really good about their defensive line. I think that's the biggest thing. Great defensive lines are how you win Super Bowls and how you win championships and how you win in his league. The giants of all teams know that. You got a dual Carter. You got, you know, they have a great D line of their own. Obviously they trade their way, Dexter Lawrence, but I think they feel really good about the defensive line that they're going to put out.

1:14:54Obviously you got a factor in what John Harbour is going to do and the stability he's going to bring the credibility that he brings. But I don't think that's going to be enough to beat this Dallas Cowboys team, especially early in the season. You know, that could send them into a spiral if they give away a winable game early. But I don't think that's this team. I think they're going to feel really good. I think they're going to win this game. I think Dallas wins this game. We'll give them 31, 31, 21. I know you like the Dallas Cowboys. For those of you that missed our NFC prediction and preview episode, Richard's got the Cowboys. One in the division. Clearly you like them, Richard. So we'll see. This is obviously a nice test for them on the road against the giants to start. We got another match up in the AFC and we want to talk elite versus elite. You got the Buffalo Bills. One of the most vented offenses in the league, traveling to Houston to take on one of the most gruesome defenses in the league.

1:15:57Richard, what are you looking for in this game? I mean, Josh Allen, this guy is getting it done year after year, but hasn't been able to get Buffalo to that to the Promised Land. Really, that's what Buffalo is waiting for. What are your expectations of this Buffalo Bills team as they travel to Houston and face this tough defense? They got some question marks and mostly on the defensive side of the football. I think you know what you're going to get out of Josh Allen. I think DJ Moore has shown the flashes that he needs to show in the preseason for whatever that's worth. I think they have a good enough rapport. Obviously, Khalil Shakure and Keon Coleman has had a up and down career in Buffalo, but it seems like he's gotten himself back on the right track. Obviously, you got cook in the backfield and he can take over a game at any time. And then Josh Allen, I think can he overcome this incredible Houston front and secondary? Like we talked about before on the AFC preview, they have one of the best

1:17:00secondaries in the league with Kaylyn Bull of Jalen Petrie, Blake and ship, Derek Stingley, Kamari Lasseter. And you know, he got a pro-bola with Al Shahir at the Michael Imbacker. Then you got Daniel Hunter and Will Anderson who could really both ruin a game at any time. And if they if you can't consistently block them, then you know, this game becomes much tougher. But if anybody can overcome that, it's Josh Allen. And on the flip side, which CJ CJ shroud are you getting? That's going to be that's going to be what determines this season. I think this is the top two top three defense in the national football league. They're going to get their job done. They're going to turn the ball over. They're going to put pressure on the Buffalo bills, but can they score? Is the big question? Can Nico Collins regain his all-profond? Can these young guys really get back to what they were? Can our guy David Montgomery get this run game back to a credible place in the national football league? And if the answers to those

1:18:03questions are yes, and CJ shroud gets back to form, then this Tuesday team becomes, you know, dang near the favorites in the AFC because of how great this defense is, but that's a big if. So who do you got one in this game? It's just too much too much. Yeah, there's just too many question marks with CJ Stroud. I got Buffalo 20 to 14. I think Josh Allen overcomes his defense enough to pull out a win. Buffalo gets a tough road win in week one per Richard Sherman. Let's go to our next game on our radar. The Chicago Bears, fresh off an NFC North championship last season, travel to Carolina, who surprised a lot of folks by winning their division as well. This is going to be a battle of two young quarterbacks. Caleb Williams and Bryce Young Ben Johnson first year coach to Chicago last year came in and totally flipped the script, changed that identity in that locker room.

1:19:06Their offense definitely became difficult for defenses to defend. What do you think of the Chicago Bears team? And ultimately, what do you think of this game? This week one matchup against Carolina, who gave the LA Rams a ton of stress and trouble during the playoffs? Well, I think it comes down to this Carolina defense. I really do. I think they were the reason that they won the division last season. They're the reason that the Rams had a tough time. These corners, Mike Jack and JC Horn really do a great job turning the ball over tight coverage, standing up in one-on-one matchups, even when a lot of pressure is put on them. Derek Brown and his front really gets after people when they can. If they can play as they did all season, this is going to be a game. Now, what is the next step for Bryce Young? Does he continue to build a rapport with Tetra all McMillan? Do they start to take the next step? They lost DJ Moore.

1:20:08The Bears have lost DJ Moore. Now, they're going to have to depend on guys to take a step up. Roam of Dune's Day and Luther Birdon. Obviously, Colston Loveland is going to have a bigger role. Kim Caleb Williams continued to ascend in the way he did the later parts of last season. And through the playoffs, he played well against the Green Bay Packers. Made some really incredible passes. But I think this one is going to be all about Bryce Young. How does this season start for Bryce Young? Obviously, they were able to win the NFC South with a losing record last year. I don't know if that's going to be enough this season. This game will go a long way to determining whether he's going to get paid next year or not or whether they're going to be picking another quarterback and he's going to be looking for a place to stay. If he can show more consistency for Dave Canales and this Carolina Panthers offense, I think they'll have another good shot to make the playoffs.

1:21:12So who you got winning this game, Richard? It's going to be tough to beat the Chicago Bears. Chicago Bears have too many veterans. They're a playoff team last season. So it's Carolina, but they won the NFC North. One of a lot of games. You got a young quarterback who's playing with confidence and you got a run game that you trust. You got an offensive line that you trust. I got the Chicago Bears winning 24 or 17. Sticking in the NFC North, we got another division battle here. The Green Bay Packers had the Minnesota to take on the Vikings. Obviously, the Vikings have had a lot of change this off season. They bring in Kyler Murray from Arizona. He will be under center starting this game for the Minnesota Vikings. The Green Bay Packers are dealing with the slew of question marks. Obviously, Michael Parsons suffers the ACL injury last season. Where is he at in his recovery process? They lose Josh Jacobs to the suspension. A lot of eyeballs are going to be on Marshawn Lloyd, the running back out of USC. They just trade

1:22:14for Caleb Johnson out of Iowa. So there's question marks for both teams entering this game. Who do you like in this game? This week one opener, Packers vs Vikings? I think you got to like the Green Bay Packers. It's just one of those things. Again, it's the division game. Kyler Murray is going to be explosive. It's tough with the running of mobile quarterback. Kevin O'Connell is going to get him to the plays. He likes Justin Jefferson is going to be great Addison Brown, Jawan Jennings. This receiving core is going to find a way to get open defensively. Brian Flores is going to put a ton of pressure on Julian Love for some to make decisions, for some to see looks that he's uncomfortable with. But this receiving core has been a strength for the Green Bay Packers and what is it Jalen Reed and Christian Watson. Guys, they felt really good about. Obviously Romeo Davies has gone on to New England. But they have firepower. They believe in their quarterback. I think Matt LeFloor has a little bit

1:23:20of pressure on him this season to produce the last few seasons. They made the playoffs, but it's been a seven-seat barely beat out the Minnesota Vikings. I think Minnesota is 98. They were 97 and one. They traded for Mike Parsons. When will he come back? What will his impact be when he comes back? Can they survive without him? I just, you know, Minnesota could win this game? Colin Murray and Aaron Jones and American Sister and Brian Flores' pressure in Minnesota is at home. I want to say Green Bay, I really do, but now I'm speaking myself into Brian Flores and the chaos that they create on defense and the chaos that Colin Murray is going to create offensively, just using his legs even if the offensive line isn't up to snuff early on. I don't know, Mitchell.

1:24:28I don't know, it's a lot closer than it probably should be. Without Josh Jacobs for Green Bay, who's a real tone setter for that offense, let's go Minnesota 23-20. Wow, wow. I don't think a lot of people would think that, but I'm with you, Richard. I like Minnesota this year. I think Kyle Murray is going to be a massive upgrade form at the quarterback position. I also think they should never have let Sam Darnold walk, but hey, that was their decision. Let's move on to the AFC here. These are two teams that are in flux of it. The Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis facing the Indiana Jones now led Indianapolis Colts. The Baltimore Ravens, obviously, the Let go, a John Harbaugh have brought in Jesse Mentor to try to reshape this team and bring them into championship form. Richard, what do you

1:25:31think of this game? Because it seems to me we're dealing with two teams that are a bit of an identity crisis. The Colts were, how does it skill it to start the season and about midway through they fell off? And the Ravens started slow and then ultimately got hot. What are your expectations of this week one match up the Ravens at the Colts? Well, it's who can regain their form quicks who can gain their regain their form the fastest. I think Jesse Mentor is going to going to obviously pride himself on getting his defense together. You know, they have proven veteran players who played some good football. Kyle Hamilton has been in all pro. You know, Marlon Humphreys has been in all pro, but you know, and had a number of interceptions last year. Can he be an elite player again? Can that D-line get pressure in the way they have in the past? Offensively, I think you can depend on Lamar Jackson and Derek Henry continuing to be

1:26:34the dynamic players that they are. Lamar always seems to be an MVP hunt. I, the Indianapolis Colts and Jonathan Taylor Randaball really well last year. You know, I know they feel great about their secondary, deforest buckner in the middle. That D-line getting pressure. This is just, this is a game that could go either way. Obviously Baltimore has had their struggles defensively, and that's why it's hard for me to give it to them. Let's go with Indian Ended Jones and the Colts. We'll go with 23, 17 Indianapolis. Indianapolis, okay. I will see. All right, everyone. You know what time it is? We've got Denver versus Kansas City coming up, and you can

Denver's vaunted defense against this Kansas City Chiefs team that is led by Patrick Mahomes. What are you looking to see? We're looking to see if Patrick Mahomes is the Patrick Mahomes that we remember. And you know, coming off an injury, you have to question that. You have to see what he put back on tape. But I think that's why they went and got Kenneth Walker, a guy that you can turn around

1:28:40hand the ball up to and expect the explosive plays. I think Andy Reed, one of the best play callers and played drawers in the National Football League's history is going to have a great plan for him. In a great plan to to negate this Broncos Pass rush, whether it's screens or draws or you know, things are just outside zone things that really make these pass rushers pause and don't just allow them to keep teeing off on Patrick Mahomes. Also, they have really fast receivers on the outside. And then Travis Kelsey, Travis Kelsey, old man, old man and what appears to be his final season in the National Football League, you know, he will be a factor in this game defensively. What do they do to replace Watson and Trent McDuffy? Can these young guys, uh, what they're going to have to play, man the helm and and get them through this time. But again, you're at Arrowhead, one of the most one of the loudest stadiums. I'm sure there's going to be emotional, you know, rockest environment for Patrick Mahomes return. Um, sometimes you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone. I

1:29:45don't think this is one of those times. But I'm sure that everybody in Kansas City is going to be on their feet for a majority of this game appreciating and enjoying having Patrick Mahomes back, having a great run game, having Andy Reed and knowing that with 15 under center, they have a chance to win a Super Bowl. Now, if you're also the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos aren't who you won't with in your first game. Um, but the Broncos without Jonathan Cooper are much different and much more manageable to deal with. Um, obviously they have patch, I mean, they have Patrick Sartane and a great secondary. But who is he going to follow in this? Is it going to be Rossi Rice? Is it going to be like, um, who's he going to follow? Is he going to, are they just going to have to play left and right? Because, you know, what is Rossi Rice going to be right now? Is it going to be Xavier Worthy and his speed, the speed demon out there for the Kansas City Chief? I don't know.

1:30:48But I think, um, Bo Nick's and Sean Peyton are great tandem and a great team and them getting Jaylen Waddle is obviously going to be a big time deal. I just think it's going to be hard to walk into Arrowhead in this type of environment. Obviously Patrick is coming back first game back, you know, going to have to knock some of the rest off. But it's just tough to beat them at Arrowhead Stadium with Patrick Mahomes under center with Andy Reed on the sideline. Um, so, but this Broncos defense is still a great defense and I do love a great defense. Hmm. And that offensive line from Kansas City has struggled mightily. Um, um, Denver was in the AFC championship and in moments, you know, a boat next injury away from probably playing in Super Bowl against the Seattle Sea Hook. I added Jaylen, uh,

1:31:52Jonathan Cooper's exemplest, um, the defense still get enough. I think it is. Uh, 2013, 21, 13, Denver. Wow. Okay, Patrick Mahomes, fresh off the injury, suffers a loss week one per Richard Sherman. That's what I think. They were nine and eight last year with an offensive line that was in shambles with the defense that had the most, uh, Iard players in the NFL. Um, they're healthy, you know, that they're, I think they have the Brad Holmes has addressed the right positions this off season. I'm excited to see this all come together. We're going to see a lot of Jameer Gibbs. There's a reason he's going number one in fantasy drafts. And that's because David Mount Gumries no longer there. Jameer Gibbs is time to shine. And then obviously I'm on Ross St. Brown. Um, he's

1:33:55been Mr. Steady at a Mr. Consistency always reliable. But the bigger question is James and Williams. The guy reportedly has been putting together a heck of a camp. I know he's locked in and he looks like a different receiver. He had a great season last year, but can he add to that? Um, the guys can blow the top off of a defense. And I think he can be a true asset and difference maker against any opponent. Um, so I look for the Lions to get everybody involved. I think they're going to be a run heavy team this year with Drew Petson coming over the OC from Arizona. He likes to run a lot of 12 and 13 personnel. The Lions cut four tight ends on this roster. So I expect to see a lot of running the football. And then we're going to be sprinkling in a quite a bit of play action off of that. I'm on Ross St. Brown. James and Williams eyes go to Isaac Tesla. Uh, we'll see if he can rise up in his second year. So my eyes to go to that offense, but also defensively a lot of questions answer there as well with no Kirby Joseph and no Brian branch on that back end. What can the Lions

1:35:00be defensively? Can they be different makers in that back end? We shall see Richard. I got the Detroit Lions handling business at home. Uh, I think they'll put up 34 points and I gave it a got him giving up 24 points. I think this defense is the major question mark. Uh, I trust that they've added enough on that D line. Alimic Niels back. They addressed the opposite of Eden Hutchinson and the draft. Um, that linebacking Corps bringing in Devon White who was a co-leader in tackles last season. Uh, off for agency late in training camp. I think he'll help. But again, that second area is where my eyes go. That's my point of concern. Uh, and that's what I will be watching on Sunday. But I got the Detroit Lions winning 34 to 24 over the New Orleans Saints. Yeah, appreciate you asking the question now. Anytime, Mitchell, anytime. I want you to speak about your boys. Uh, I do have question marks about that secondary. You lose those two really good safeties and then Terriana Arnold unexpectedly. Um, you got to replace all of that and this receiving court from New Orleans

Uh, he's been having a really great camp and they're really confident about what he can do and, and you know, sorry, some people speaking as if he's the future of that, that program.
