Welcome to the Benazzari show your daily ritual to live longer healthier and happier
Here we use real science ancient wisdom and a daily dose of vitamin G gratitude
So you live the life you were always meant to let's lock in
Most people who develop diabetes feel completely fine
No pain, no warning, even normal labs and by the time your doctor says
Read diabetes. It's been building for years
Here's what nobody tells you high insulin comes before high blood sugar and your body starts giving subtle clues
Long before the diagnosis
Today, I'm going to show you the early signs almost everyone misses so you can reverse it long before it becomes
Permanent damage because diabetes doesn't start loudly. It starts quietly
So let's break it down. I want you to get this understanding of how your metabolism works
insulin is the key your cells are the locks every time you eat carbohydrates
especially processed carbs and sugar but all carbohydrates insulin is released
It's job unlock the cell so glucose could enter
But here's what happens if you keep flooding the system your bloodstream with sugar the locks stop responding
This is insulin resistance
The analogy I was give is if I grabbed my cell phone
And then I connected headphones to the cell phone and I went on Spotify to listen to music
And then I grabbed you know the playlist of the greatest rock band in the world the killers
And I started listening to music non-stop 24-7 day after day week after week after about a few months of doing this
That constant screaming of music into my ears. It's going to feel like the volume is decreasing
But instead of taking a break from the music from the sound
I increased the volume to 60% and then 70% and then after years later
I'm at a hundred percent volume just blasting my ears with music
I'm going deaf to the screams of the music. That's insulin resistance
The pancreas is producing the insulin
That's the music that's shouting out your cells and your cells those receptor sites that hear the insulin
Those are your ears over time from that constant bombardment of carbohydrates and snacking and grazing
You're going deaf to the messages that's being sent to your cells. This is insulin resistance
It's also called hyperinsulinemia. See this happens first
Then the pancreas compensates it produces more insulin to deliver the same job that used to do months ago
Years ago and over time insulin rises silently. The damage begins before the glucose rises
So I want you to remember the phrase I already said high
insulin happens before high blood sugar study show that insulin resistance could be present for five to ten to up to
14 years before a diabetes diagnosis before your blood sugar is changing before even your A1C changes
Which is the three-month average of your blood sugar?
In fact, this is according to credible research in the Lancet diabetes care white hall two study
They all demonstrate that hyperinsulinemia happens years before any changes in your blood glucose
That means the fire starts long before the smoke alarm goes off
What's crazy? Most people have no idea. So here's how it unfolds insulin resistance starts insulin rises
You feel fine because your body's compensating then subtle signs appear doctors miss it and the damage accumulates
And because fast and glucose can stay normal for years even the A1C you walk around thinking everything's okay
Meanwhile that elevated insulin is promoting belly fat storage
Especially the worst type of fat in your body visceral fat the fat around your organs
They're also increasing inflammation damaging blood vessels raising blood pressure and stressing the liver
This is the quiet damage window and now let's talk about the signs
We're not listing random symptoms here. We're grouping them because when you see the pattern
You can't unsee it the first sign to pay attention to is belly fat that won't move
Especially lower abdominal fat. You see visceral fat is strongly correlated with insulin resistance
A study published in diabetes care showed visceral fat is one of the strongest predictors of metabolic dysfunction
And get this even when weight or BMI is normal that insulin high levels of insulin
It's the bodyguard for visceral fat. You can't touch the visceral fat if insulin is around
So you think you have a weight problem. You don't you have a weight symptom the real problem is this hormone insulin
The second sign to pay attention to is crashing after meals if you feel sleepy after eating
That's not normal digestion
What happens is you get a big blood sugar spike a huge insulin surge and then that glucose drops
This is also called reactive hypoglycemia the third sign to pay attention to are sugar cravings when insulin and glucose spike rapidly
Your brain interprets that as an emergency so you crave more sugar
It's not willpower. It's simple physiology fourth sign to pay attention to
It's afternoon fatigue if you need sugar or caffeine or other stimulants after 3 p.m
Just a function. That's not normal aging. That's unstable blood sugar
Now the next set of clues to pay attention to are nighttime clues
Now, this is what shocks a lot of people first sign is waking up between two and four a.m
See when blood sugars drop overnight your body releases adrenaline and cortisol to raise the blood sugar
And that stress response wakes you up between two and four a.m
Where you feel wired and tired second sign to pay attention to are night sweats
cortisol and adrenaline surging at nighttime causes you to sweat third sign is frequent
Your nation at night elevated insulin directly affects kidney function
Which affects sodium handling and fluid balance fourth sign is restless sleep
blood sugar instability stresses the hormones which leads to fragmented sleep and that poor sleep
Increases insulin resistance the next day. It's a vicious cycle research from the University of Chicago
Show just four nights of poor sleep reduced insulin sensitivity by up to 30 percent
Exima is unpredictable
But you can flare less with ebulous
A once monthly treatment for moderate to severe eczema
After an initial four-month or longer dosing phase about four and ten people taking ebulous achieved it
Really in glare or almost glare skin at 16 weeks and most of those people maintain skin
That's still more glare at one year with monthly dosing
ebulous library kizumap lbkz a 250 milligram per two-milliliter injection is a prescription medicine used to treat adults and children
12 years of age and older who weigh at least 88 pounds or 40 kilograms with moderate to severe eczema
Also called a topic dermatitis that is not well controlled with prescription therapies used on the skin or topicals
Or who cannot use topical therapies ebulous can be used with or without topical corticosteroids
Don't use if you're allergic to ebulous allergic reactions can occur that can be severe i problems can occur
Tell your doctor if you have new or worsening eye problems
You should not receive a live vaccine when treated with ebulous before starting ebulous
Tell your doctor if you have a parasitic infection

The next category of science to pay attention to are visible body clues
These are very powerful because you could actually see them
I could spot insulin resistance in the room. This is how I spot it
Number one. I look for dark patches on the neck see high insulin stimulates cell
Growth and pigmentation second thing I pay attention to are skin tags
This is typically seen around the eyelids the neck and on the back again
This is strongly associated with insulin resistance because insulin is a growth factor
Skin tags are a result of that growth factor the third sign is slow wound healing see elevated glucose and insulin
Impair blood flow into microvascular circulation and the fourth sign to pay attention to are tingling hands and feet
Especially at nighttime see this is early nerve irritation from that blood sugar damaging your nerves
And this could happen even without a diabetes diagnosis as a matter of fact the years before a diabetes diagnosis
The other set of symptoms to pay attention to are related to your brain and hormones
So the next symptom is brain fog insulin resistance affects brain glucose uptake so much so that researchers are now calling
All simers type three diabetes the next sign here are mood swings and irritability simply put
Blood sugar swings equal neurotransmitter swings the next sign are headaches after meals
You see rapid glucose shifts trigger vascular changes that could lead to a headache after eating especially eating a big meal
The next sign is low libido or hormonal imbalances you see high insulin directly affects hormones like testosterone and estrogen balance
Now I want you to pause for a moment here. How many of these signs do you currently have that's the question
I want you to be asking yourself right now
And here's the scariest part you could have several of these signs and still be told your labs are normal
Because your fasting glucose isn't high enough a1c lags behind in a fasting insulin isn't routinely tested
It's actually missed most of the time it's important to know that damage will start years earlier before those labs change
By the time your a1c changes insulin has been elevated for years and in many cases over a decade a
2020 review in the Mayo clinic proceedings emphasize that hyper insulinemia is often missed in early screenings because most doctors
Are not testing a fasting insulin. So you're told you're fine come back in a year. Let's monitor your numbers
But that lock yourselves. It's already overwhelmed and your body is screaming for help through those symptoms
Those symptoms are not bad. You're simply your body's check engine light
Thank god
We have this system in place to warn you that something's going wrong before having to verify it by your doctor
This is exactly why I created the 14-day insulin reset because most people don't fail from lack of discipline
They fail because no one has ever shown them how to lower insulin properly
If you're seeing yourself in these signs, don't wait for your a1c to climb inside this 14-day reset
I'll show you exactly how to lower fasting insulin how to stabilize your blood sugar how to reduce cravings shrink
stubborn belly fat
improve sleep and energy all without counting a single calorie no extreme dieting no guesswork
And this isn't theory john Miller 53 years old dropped 44 pounds in 30 days
He told me my belly's shrink my energy stabilized and my labs improved
I finally stopped fighting my metabolism and started fixing it
That's what happens when you fix insulin at the root now normally when I coach people through this directly
It cost over a thousand dollars
But I didn't make this for a handful of private clients
I made it so anyone can have access to it
So right now you can get the entire 14-day system for just $17 that's less than one takeout meal
This lesson made something click for you then click the first link in the description box below
Or scan the QR code on the screen right now start the reset today
Because the earlier you lower insulin the easier this is to reverse and if ignored insulin resistance can lead to fatty liver
Which now affects one in three adults it could lead to high blood pressure kidney damage heart disease and cognitive decline
See heart disease is the number one cause of death
Diabetics and insulin resistance drives this endopheolial dysfunction years before any diagnosis
But here is the key early insulin resistance is reversible the body wants to heal
It just needs the right signals those signals are strategic food timing right having a eating schedule a fasting schedule
Carb control in most cases keeping your total carbohydrates under 50 grams per day prioritizing protein by getting at least 30 to 40 grams of protein at every meal
Strength training doesn't have to be a lot
But two 20-minute sessions every week walking after meals is also a game changer especially going for a 30-minute walk after your biggest meal of the day
And of course improving your sleep research shows all of this works for example resistance training
Improves insulin sensitivity within weeks the more muscle mass you have
It's more of a sponge for glucose to be absorbed meaning your body produces less insulin and post meal walks significantly blunt
post-prandial glucose and insulin and we also know reducing carbs
Especially refined carbs lowers fasting insulin rapidly look the lock isn't broken
It's overwhelmed just stop flooding it and it starts working again
Diabetes doesn't start loudly it starts quietly with subtle clues energy crashes belly fat skin changes
Night wakeups and most people ignore them, but now you won't if you found yourself relating to this lesson
That's not fear that's awareness and awareness is the first step towards reversal because when you know better
You can do better check out the 14-day insulin reset guide below make sure you watch the next video
I have coming up here on how to reverse insulin resistance naturally because the earlier you act the easier
It is to heal the lock isn't broken
It's overwhelmed and it's never too early to fix that now
Let me get to the questions you submitted on this topic to give you more clarity in insight
But then my fasting glucose is normal. How could I already be insulin resistant in many cases
It'll take six to 14 years before those fasting glucose levels change
Why because your body is so busy producing
massive amounts of insulin to clear the excess glucose
To lower blood sugar
because any
Blood sugar elevated in the bloodstream is considered a toxic state
So your body will produce a lot of insulin until it can no longer hear the message remember the analogy of the listening to music
That takes about six to 14 years to happen. So don't wait for the fasting blood sugar to change
Don't wait for eight one C to change
Take action now and please request a fasting blood insulin test from your doctor
And what's going to be crazy is when you get that test done the reference range is between three and 27 three and 28
But if you're over six on a fasting insulin you have insulin resistance your doctor might not flag it
But I'm flagging it for you you want to be between three and six isn't insulin resistance just about being overweight
You know, it's crazy that there's a high percentage of people that have full blown insulin resistance and they're thin
They look lean
Right, they might even look healthy
They're called tofies
They're thin on the outside fat on the inside
These individuals have normal BMI but can have high visceral fat the fat around the organs
You cannot see a high insulin and even higher cardio metabolic risk. It's not just about weight
It's about what's happening on the inside can stress alone cause insulin resistance
Yes, because cortisol raises insulin
cortisol increases blood sugar blood sugar increases insulin chronic insulin leads to insulin resistance
There was a study that was published in the university from the university of california
And it showed that prolonged cortisol elevation directly in pairs insulin sensitivity
This is why sleep emotional stress and not overtraining matters
It's not just about food and I explained this more in that 14-day insulin reset guide
How long does it take to reverse insulin resistance?
I've worked with thousands of students over the last 18 years and the majority of them have come to me with insulin resistance
Or even full-blown diabetes
I've seen significant changes in weeks
In some cases, I've seen full-blown diabetics that were dependent on medications like insulin
Get off their insulin completely within weeks research shows
And this is what I've seen work working with all these clients
You could see huge improvements in it as as little as two to four weeks
See the body's really smart god built the body to be self-healing inside your body right now
You have the world's greatest physician within yourselves move the interference your body will heal your body is very resilient
It will adapt to the changes that you make hey before I get to the next question
Let me give you a free resource here as well if you've been busting your butt
You're still not losing fat your body isn't broken your insulin is I created a free seven-day protocol to get you started
And then I'll teach you how to drop up to one pound of fat per day without counting a single calorie starving yourself
For killing yourself with cardio you'll learn the exact fasting schedule food swaps and fat burning tricks to finally unlock
Your stored fat naturally
This is the blueprint for metabolic freedom not just another gimmick
Click the second link in the description box below or scan the QR code on the screen to get it now
Don't wait your reset starts right now is fruit bad if I'm insulin resistant
It really depends I would say this fruit juices and smoothies. I are bad
I would not recommend that if you're insulin resistance
It's just too much fruit toast in a concentrated dose
If you're eating whole fruit it depends on the fruit and how much of the fruit you're having now a lot of individuals
Who are insulin resistance could get away with low glycemic fruit like organic berries after
Exercise after a walk or before a walk. So I wouldn't say you have to avoid fruit altogether
But I would avoid excess fruit especially high glycemic fruit like bananas and mangoes for example
But Ben can I still be insulin resistant even if I eat healthy foods
Look your definition of healthy foods probably different than my definition of healthy foods
A lot of people are drinking their green
juices
Their fruit smoothies
They're having their oat meal
They're drinking their oat milk lattes
They're having their whole grain bread and granola
All those items I just mentioned might be healthy to you
They're not healthy to me. They all turn into sugar inside of your body
Even healthy carbs will spike glucose in insulin especially if you're already insulin resistance
See meal composition matters more than the fancy food labels
So lower the carbs increase the healthy protein in fat
The other thing else we talked about earlier and at the very best
We'll get the 14-day insulin reset
What's the single most powerful daily habit to improve insulin sensitivity?
I'm going to say to go for a 30-minute walk after your biggest meal of the day
It's an easy thing to do. It's free
And it has a huge impact
You know a 2022 study in the sports medicine found that just a 2-10-minute walk after meals
Significantly reduced glucose
But I would recommend 30 minutes and you could blunt that glucose and insulin spike
From even a high carb meal by over 30 percent
Look, I hope this is valuable
