But I saw it was the anniversary of Boise State in Oregon from 2009. So that would be 17 years ago. It's hard to believe because this was a massive story. And I remember every show on the station talking about it.

1:02But back then, Oregon lost to Kellyn Moore's Boise State Squad. It was a low scoring game and early season tilt. And the thing that everybody was talking about was future NFL running back at Ligarit Blunt was so upset that he decks a Boise State player right in the face. At the end of this game is everybody's walking off the field. And just to give you a taste for context, this is what it sounded like on the ESPN telecast that night. Still a lot of animosity on the field, not between teams, but between teammates. It all started with one right there. He should be ejected for next week. And above Chip Kellyn, he may be ejected longer than that right there. Ligarit Blunt nailing Byron Houth right on the chin. We saw Oregon players fighting amongst themselves too. Blunt nailing Houth, that is unconscionable, reprehensible behavior.

2:06There's no excuse. No excuse for that. And Mark, think about we started this football game with a symbolic handshake to start the college football season on good sportsmanship. That is unbelievable right there. It would come as no surprise if Ligarit Blunt is in sanctioned for the next game or in suing games. And he is still almost out of control right now. They're trying to multiply. Oh yeah. And now police and other security have come in to try and calm down Ligarit Blunt, the starting tail back for Oregon. We talk about great marketing for Oregon and how they sell their program in different ways. This is the opposite of that. So the discuss you heard from the play by play crew there, I think that might have been Bob Davie on color.

3:08I'm not sure who the team was, but everybody was echoing that the next day. Made national news and every like I said, every show on the station the next day really dug into it. And this was, you know, this isn't a backup running back or safety or something. Ligarit Blunt was a Heisman front runner going into that year. Like he was the top running back in the nation in 09. And he ends up getting suspended for the rest of the year by Chip Kelly. It's a big deal. But I think about this because I think of the hard line. Yes. I think this was Monday. I remember hearing this and it was such a classic hard line moment where it's not Ligarit Blunt. It's the Garrett Blunt. The inner of Oregon football is all about and they're standing by and it sounds like this can be a learning experience for him and this isn't the Garrett Blunt that we know. And he kept referring to him as the Garrett Blunt. I'm blue. The love. Love Garrett. Love. Sound like he was saying the.

4:09So there it is way to be up up the stories there. Did it not sound like he was saying the Garrett. I didn't hear an L anytime. Why would he say 20 times the Garrett Blunt? I don't know. Look, I don't know anything about sports. All right. Awesome. And now anytime you say, Lod name like Sam Laporta. I say Sam the Porta. So funny. Awesome. And that was a big scandal back 17 years ago. And now we are conditioned, especially in the offseason for college football, scandal and now legal ease in court cases. And last night you had a judge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, say that Dayquan right and Xavier Harris are cleared to return to college football after their stints and training camps in the NFL. And of course yesterday the news comes down that the SEC was not only suing LSU,

5:11but also Lane Kiffin. And it's just created this legal courtroom war. And they're bumping up to some sort of deadline or threshold, because I think the Tigers have to announce their roster today. Yeah, because they're taken on Clemson tomorrow night in Death Valley. It's the biggest game of the weekend. And the question is, will they be put on the roster? And if they get on the field, what kind of hell is going to break loose moving forward? Because the SEC is, it just means more, you know, but it just feels like LSU is clearly putting on the black cowboy hat to play the villain here with Lane Kiffin being the face of their program. And I just wonder, is this even all worth it? But for a couple of guys who are good and played for Lane, it'll miss. But are they actually better than guys already on the roster? Some of the guys they went out in the portal and spent money. Well, Lane Kiffin is a movie villain. That's what he is. Like he wants to do this because you love him. You hate him. You love LSU. You hate LSU. I think he's good for the sport because it's just so polarizing where it's, I think most

6:19college football fans, unless you are an LSU fan, think that this is, it's wrong. What's it? Honestly, it is. Like it's just, it's weird that you can be on even with the new five for five rule where you get five years to play college football. They've played four. They went to a training camp. They came back. I could still, you shouldn't be able to be on a NFL roster and then go back. And by the way, the five for five rule came down in June. Right. So these young men already decided, well, I have to go try to go pro and get on a team and whatnot. And then this ruling comes down. So this unlocks a door. And of course, it feels like Lane Kiffin and maybe a few other programs are actually, looking at this avenue, but it feels like LSU and Kiffin are the face of this decision. I just, I just don't know why it would be worth it for so many new faces as they're turning this program over with so many expectations. All you're doing is creating just distraction. Is you're entering a year where you're going up against a gauntlet schedule and you have

7:20to try to have these young men gel together. And why just throw an extra level of adversity on top of everything? I just don't understand why Lane is much as he likes to be a villain. Why he thinks this is a good idea. There might be something to that. Like these kids are 18 to 23, 24 years old. And when you have so much going on, like, especially playing road games, like think of this game luckily for them, it's it LSU death Valley. Think if it's it Clemson death Valley this weekend and just how everywhere they go, it's there's going to be, there's going to be signs. They're going to get booed everywhere. It's something they're not asking for. Now the it's it's two players that they're trying to bring back. It's a tight end and a defensive lineman. And by the way, Dayquan ride the tide and says he's ready to go because he's been working out with the team. Xavier and Harris says he still might need a few weeks. So if one can play or will play, and that's still a giant question marks Saturday night, it's going to be the tide end. It's it's juicy.

8:21I I'm for it. I think like I I kind of know for LSU here. I'm cheering for chaos. I love college football chaos. I said last year I've been enough chaos. No, there can never be enough chaos. We haven't dealt with a whole offseason of having to learn legal stuff and injunctions and and finding judges and just the whole thing that none of us really want to talk or think about. We would rather watch the game. So I can see you want this to continue. Yes, I just because it's Lane Kiffin. I want it to be because of that. I said it last year when like he was getting courted all season and he was being so ambiguous about leaving Ole Miss. He's going back to Ole Miss in a couple of weeks. I know. He'll probably say something in a magazine. He might help bang a co-ed in Baton Rouge. There's going to be something that he is going to put out there that's going to make him center stage villain. So you don't need more court crap. LSU should drop this. I don't think I don't think they will because it's him. Well, I think they're going to play SEC's dug into and is this worth it to piss off your

9:24parent conference? I don't really think it is personally. How long do you give Lane Kiffin at LSU? I don't know. A couple of minutes. I think it's going to end. Yeah, I think it's going to end miserably for him with just all of this and it's just going to be a mountain on time. It's just going to keep piling on. And honestly, I just don't think Sam Levitt is the be all end all. And I know that they have all these expectations, but there are times that Arizona State Sam Levitt didn't have great games. And if that's what you're, if that's what this season is hinging on along with all the talent you brought in, I don't know if that's going to be good enough to jump up and be at the top of that hill. Yes, you see try to bring in soars, be maybe by the way, 1159 PM tonight is when they have to set their roster. That's the time. Okay. Well, interesting. And that's going to be the big story heading into college football Saturday as we all wake up Saturday morning and flip on game. Yes. And I feel like it's and listen to the college football tailgate here on the ticket tomorrow with Lando.

10:24Yeah. Actually, a couple interesting games last night. And one of them was a bit of a laffer. I think we brought this up in the mix with Matt and Donovan, the Rutgers UMass game. And we saw this. The point spread was like 38 points or something for Rutgers and Rutgers is the laughing stock of the big 10 and we are wondering when the last time Rutgers has been favored by that much. And they get beat at home by a UMass team. Yes, the Minimum go to Piscataway. They pocketed one and a half million dollars, you know, your classic body back game. And this is a team that had a 16 game losing skid, the longest in the nation. And it was snapped in fabulous fashion as they give up the opening touchdown. And then by halftime, it's 24 to seven minute men. And they just control things pretty much all the way through the end of the game as they went at 3721. And it's so laughable that Rutgers had a fireworks display. And because this is the game they thought they were going to win this year.

11:25Yeah. And it was they paid UMass $1.5 million to go to Rutgers to play. They beat their ass. I always love those stories when there's a huge upset and, you know, a smaller school gets paid a million plus dollars just to kind of get beat up on and then they go in there and win. And then the firework show afterwards. Now the fireworks looked cool. Like it was looked like there was a lot of money that went into that firework show, but there were so sad looking dozens in the standstill in New Jersey. That was that was a bit of an eyebrow razor and hey, good on UMass, you know, that's a program that has only been FPS for about 15 years. And there's been so many years where they've gone winlister only won a single game. So they'll probably get more than one if you can go into say what you will about Rutgers. That's still a big 10 road. Sure. We also had a we got to see Colorado. This might be the only time the last time we talk about Dion and Colorado this season, but they went to Atlanta to play Georgia Tech and we got to see Fernando Mendoza's brother

12:26who looks just like him. Honestly, I thought he acquitted himself pretty well. 17 of 23. I think his mechanics are good. I don't know if he has the game savvy yet of his older brother. Georgia Tech's not as good as they were last year when they built the whole plane out of Haines King, the former Aggie, but Mendoza was fine. This was a low scoring game. I was a little surprised that Georgia Tech and Brent Key who loves to run the ball couldn't take advantage of a smaller Colorado defensive line. And they only ran for 51 yards last night. But on the other side, Colorado didn't have just a ton of faith in their quarterback. Lewis who up until the final drive where they scored and went ahead only through for 64 yards, but the buffs, they ran it and ran it and ran it 183 right in the middle of that Georgia defense. Yeah. Maybe they. We don't know how good Georgia Tech's going to be this year. And I don't think there's any expectation for Colorado. It was. And they had there. You mentioned Julian Lewis. He's really their last big get that the team has because if you remember two years ago,

13:29he was the USC commit that flip to Colorado. It's a five star. He was a five star. Yeah. One of the top quarterbacks in the nation. He didn't look like a five star last night. He doesn't have too much. But Dion, you know, obviously on the hot seat after a three win season to Michael, you got a little Dion from post game. Let's roll a little bit of that. God, we rush for a book 83. My God, they rush for 51. I thought we was more. Oh, that sounds familiar. That's awesome. He still got it, I guess. Yeah, I don't know how many games the buffs are going to win this year. But man, that was Michael, you were saying a sell out at Bobby Dodd Stadium. They're first and forever. Yeah. And Dion went on to say that it was their first sell out in quite some time and that Colorado probably had something to do with that. So Dion being a former Falcon. Yeah. I saw a couple Dion jerseys in the crowd. Yeah. Watching the telecast last night. But it was crazy because each team had plenty of chances, but there were blocked field goals including the one at the very end.

14:30I thought that for such a boring stagnant game at times, both teams put together really nice drives at the end of this game and held the last two minutes. I mean, Georgia Tech had a lead, but they just couldn't put the knife to the buffs. And it wasn't the best play game, but it gets you going for what could be a massive way ahead.
