1:00Welcome to the Terrible Take a daily segment telling Steelers Nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazzora. On Monday, I offered my Pittsburgh Steelers 2026 prediction. One that's worth only a couple of grains of salt, but one that did not paint in a specially exciting picture of the season to come. In 8.9 finish, that would be the team's first losing campaign since 2003 and of course failure to make the playoffs. It's difficult to comport that outcome with a roster that looks better on paper, but how the players look and how a team comes together are different things. Having a new coach offers a breath of fresh air and ideas, but the first year can be difficult as Mike McCarthy's checklist to implement everything is endless. Not to mention a division that will be tougher this season, so long as quarterbacks Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow stay healthy for most of the season. Pittsburgh barely won the North a

Will Pittsburgh be as stout in one score games or against a division they've had more success against than any other for the last 15 years? Can the turnover culture remain strong? Those are my most serious big picture questions. Pittsburgh can and I think will take some strides forward, but other steps will go backward. That's how I envision the season. One that is far from Mike McCarthy's desired result with lots of correcting to come this off season.
