The Village - Escaping the Analysis Paralysis Trap

The Hypnotist

About this episode

Adam works with a lady that experienced severe anxiety and self doubt. She would switch from moments where she would feel paralysed by uncertainty to other moments where she would rush into a decision or new goal without thinking. Adam uses a metaphor of an ancient village to use ego-state therapy (also known as parts therapy) to enable the two conflicted parts to work collaboratively rather than in opposition.

A useful session for those that experience analysis paralysis - a feeling that you need more information to make a decision but more information creates a feeling of needing to know even more.
