Episode summary
Dave celebrates Labor Day with a replay of one of the most polarizing early Dopey episodes: “The Structured Episode.” Before the classic show, Dave runs through the growing DopeyCon lineup—including Hank Azaria, Brandon Novak, Hamilton Morris and possible appearances from Joey Diaz, Jeff Ross and Artie Lange—and shares a spectacular listener voicemail involving blue ketamine, Stinky Pete and an alarming box of dildos.
Then Dave and Chris attempt to impose actual structure on Dopey using handwritten topics, Siri and a series of timers. It immediately collapses into exactly the kind of rambling that made the show what it was. They investigate drug songs, play everything from the Velvet Underground to James Brown, revisit Chris’s teenage DXM obsession, compare nitrous stories, discuss inhalants and eventually stumble into an unexpectedly meaningful conversation about AA, growing in recovery and what might happen if Dopey ever became successful.
All that and MORE! On a heart felt brand new yet 10 year old episode of that good old dopey show!

The structured episode Our feeble attempt to change To be format fails miserably It was because Chris had come over I don't remember what night of the week it was And in the morning he had come with me to the meeting that I go to Or that I used to go to in the West Village And there was a guy at the meeting who said Dopey was good, but it was really unstructured And we needed structure So we put this whole big stupid thing together To create structure And it failed pretty badly But I actually listened to the whole episode It's super funny It's a great dopey episode I mean we don't really get anywhere But it's cute and it's funny And the plan works Alright, DopeyCon is coming up October 3rd Fucking, or selling tickets Tickets are going It's gonna be fun We have a great community If you are part of our community And you're listening and you're on the fence about coming

Let me know I'm gonna play a voice mail Hello Dave
I've been meaning to send this for a while So this goes back a few episodes to when you had a I think it was an email from someone called Jeremy Who was talking about a mistakenly shooting Viagra Rather than Oxy Which made me think how How would you do that? Because Viagra is blue I think it's quite a distinctive shape Or so I'm heard So it surprised me that someone could mix up the two However it did remind me of something that happened in my past Which is when I lived in Guildford in Surrey in the UK And I sort of local usual haunt was a pub called the star And I went into the toilet to take a piss And there was a guy who I knew but didn't know if he knew what I mean I knew who he was He was a punk like a proper old school crusty punk Before they all went extinct with tartan trousers and a foot high green mohawk
His name was Stinky Pete He actually worked for the police I think he did the washing up in the police canteen And he quite enjoyed that his wages from his job for the police went on buying drugs mostly In any way, he, I don't think he knew me or recognised me as such But I was at Stuttl at the UNI, you were doing my business And he looked over and said, do you work here? I said no And then he got out of his pocket a baggy of blue powder And I said, what's that? He starts racking it up on the little window sill above the UNI Cleanliness, next to godliness of course So he starts racking it up and I ask him what it is and he says it's ketamine This is going back probably 20 years So ketamine in the UK was not widely distributed or accessible I knew what it was, I knew it was a horse tranquilizer But that's about it, my drug experience was weed ecstasy and cocaine
And then he said, would you like some? And of course I said yes And that was the last thing I remember from that evening And the last time I did ketamine I was given some good grace by my friends Because it was quite early in the evening And despite the fact I was known for getting myself shit-faced on alcohol at the time I think I'd only had AB or maybe two So when I came back from the toilet and apparently I was star-spangled Spanked out of my arse They presumed that I had been spiked And all of my behavior for the rest of the evening To which I have no recollection was sort of put down to the fact that I had obviously Someone had tried to spike me And I didn't correct anyone, I just ran with that story And never told anyone about the blue ketamine in the toilet So that's that and then the other thing was
I think it was actually the same episode, the main guest I think her name was Charlotte Talking about her daughter finding her vibrators But I can one up that So how about daddy's dildos When I was about 14 or 15 I found a box of dildos on top of my dad's wardrobe And this wasn't a shoe box, this was like a moving box It had handles, it was pretty hefty and it was full To the brim of dildos I can only hope that they weren't for personal use but to be used with a female partner And on that delightful note I'll say stay strong dopey nation and toodles for Chris Thank you Daniel, I love that, I love that voicemail I don't know how it's sat around for so long There's a bunch of you who I think I have voicemails sitting around too long And you're probably right And we're gonna read the comments from last week's show First we're gonna read the Patreon comments
And then we're gonna read the Spotify comments But first I just wanna say it was Comments were never a thing I've tried to grow, grow, grow, try to grow I've tried to grow comments But eight years ago or ten years ago Ten years ago we got two comments on this episode And I just told you how much I love this episode And people over the years have, it's been a polarizing episode, the structured episode In, in 2000 and let's see, in 2006, 2018 Before Chris died, Jake from West Virginia says Ha ha, seriously bad one And C stocked in 925 says worst episode so far Sorry boys Then if you go to Spotify and you go to the actual structured episode on Spotify Not letting me do it of course, hold on, let's see
I thought there was some comments on it There were, I know that there were Hold on, stand by, stand by for comments My friend Devon's mother died this morning Or late last night, oh there are, there are Here's the four comments from back in the day I'm gonna go to Woodstock to pay respects To Helene Apthikar who is a really kind woman Who was so thoughtful and caring of me And so, infinite love to all Apthikars And anybody who's connected to Devon's family Devon's family is my family Alright Tracy and we played Devon last week So, it's all part of the God's plan Alright, Tracy Boner says I just want to be the first, even if no one sees, I love this And this is from years ago Miss Megan Mergatoid says How the fuck had Chris never heard those valid underground songs Queen essential, heroin addict jams
Chris didn't know anything like that Chuck E.B. says it makes me happy That Chris had never listened to BTNH But I don't know what BTNH stands for Fuck, BTNH I don't know Alison J Hernandez said I used to listen to all, I wish I knew it stood for Alison Hernandez says I used to listen to all these songs Ecstasy alcoholic Beatles So funny Thank you Alison, we have some kind of sex voicemail from Alison Been saving it for Ray but Haven't seen Ray in a bit Talk to Ray this morning though Ray's worked up a new song for DopeyCon And his accordion playing a company Will play it at DopeyCon with him So I'm very excited about that So last week on the Patreon we had me and Chris And Devon Doing the acid one So let's get the comments off of that
And tomorrow we have Kimber King coming back on the show Which is always a treat So last week was Dopey Total replay 42 My first grateful dead show Rosa Schlubfer says I got into the baby powder That was a classic story about my mom It must be added to the short list of signs And a fliction prior to chemical Dependency I designed a blow dart missile launcher by first emptying a ballpoint pen Removing the cotton from one end of the holo plastic dollar store q tips from my ants powder room Shaving a sewing needle in the exposed end of the holo point q tip Sharp side facing out scooping a bunch of baby powder Into the ballpoint pen tube Then loading the q tip Q tip into the pen cotton side first sharp end towards the enemy my younger cousin's mind was blown by the proof of concept demonstration As the q tip missile with its powder or contrail pierced the drywall in his mother's powder room like butter
He had to try it then try it again before long my ant noticed haze rolling beneath the door Chastised us about this is a long fucking comment Chastised us about the thin layer of dust that covered every single surface inside And interrogated my cousin until he broke And his pleas of we were just having some fun with it turned to tears in the full confession She wasn't happy about the holes in her walls Making i.e. these with the magic of baking soda and vinegar was also a fun trick As a budding terrorist until a kinder surprise egg grenade detonated early Now they call me the blind chic after we out grew trick or treating i introduced my younger cousin to nitrous oxide and pot Then pot and DXM mushrooms morphine sulfate ketamine thankfully had no friends and only ever used with me I had hardly had friends but I got them all high too Kick starting any addicts Odyssey feels pretty terrible unless they actually blame you then they suck
Thank you Rosa Rosa Schlupfer is a new deep contributor Kyle Ruduski congrats on 11 years. Thank you Amber Lynn congrats on 11 years such an accomplishment Thank you for all you do for the dopey nation too Thank you Katzine Diane congrats on your 11 years Dave so proud of you in your growth. I realize I say too fucking much and need to send in an email. Stay strong. No Betty Ford I don't have a voice mail but you never say too much. Minnesota Matt says 11 years congratulations Dave awesome episode number 42 So sad this thing has to kill so many of us. Yes the end of the end of this week show with Chris he says something that's totally like Chills you to your bones. All right spotify comments and if anybody leaves
Comments oh man it's so fucking annoying for some reason spotify on the computer once in a while decides They don't want to show you the comments so I have to go back to the phone to get the stupid fucking comments it's unreal I don't remember what I was going to say. Oh yeah Chris says something that's just heartbreaking at the end And if anybody wants stickers that listens to that leaves comments just let me know and I'll send you some stickers if you send in Daniel Griggs even though he's in the UK he is entitled to socks do the international dopes have to pay for shipping they should We'll say that do they have to they don't have to but they should all right here's the comments from spotify Ryan says I've gotten to the point Where no episode is ever long enough especially the ones with Chris and you I wish you all had recorded for 24 hours straight every day Thank you for this one it was great I love the story about Ivan and his phone booth yeah that is such a classic fucking dopey story I wonder what happened to him that is such a classic much love and
Tutels for Chris JDD heart Dave I know I've mentioned this quite a few times over the past few years but it never ceases to amaze me the similarities What I'm talking about is how the first drug I ever tried was acid even before weed and how the movie the doors was the movie that made me want to take drugs in the first place And I told people that for years and then when I heard you say the exact same thing on the show it really tripped me out and still does Yeah James I think that a bunch of us like it's crazy that movies have such an effect on people and that it can snowball into crazy drug addiction Kicking Wang says congrats on 11 years Dave. Thank you that Ivan story was hilarious by the way it really was that's a high mark for a dopey story Mr. Jason says this episode reminds me of a time I saw grateful dad like how he says grateful dad and not the grateful dad in high school my friend was dating a girl whose dad was in the band so she got us tickets
Wonder if it was one of Bob weir's daughters we had been drinking a little but we didn't have any weed and just assumed we could get some at the show For some reason we were calling weed the fatness and walked around the show the whole time asking anyone and everyone if they had any fatness people just looked at us like we were assholes and they were right We never got stone that night what a weird story how could you not get butted at a dead show because you're calling it the fucking fatness Did you guys ever watch that movie the whackness that movie That movie I watched just when I had stopped doing heroin after doing heroin for like 10 years straight and we had moved to Burlington, Vermont and it was this whole like weed weed movie I don't remember if it was good or not I just remember it had a big impact on me because I was in post-acute withdrawal when I saw it DJ DeFloria says you should make those surf or mic shirts I'd buy one yeah we got to get we got it that's actually a good idea
Thank you DJ Sarah Scott says you're not willing to do anything for money if you haven't tried every resource before asking a podcast There are definitely a few options pretty sure Dave already gave you the most reasonable which is set up a payment plan The other options are that you could get an additional job go get your ass on the corner or sell some feet picks like the rest of us Sarah do you sell any feet picks Nick Hankeler says I've tried I think this is the guy who wants the money I've tried the feet pick things the feet pick things trust me if you guys have sold the feet picks or any other picks I would love to hear emails and voice mails for how and I know this is going to turn into a hole I'm not kind to sex work Kind of really action but I want to hear how you guys got money together the shit I did was so tame the should I stole was so tame I want to hear good how I got money together for drugs Send them in and here is one of it's not the best episode it's way to a lot of classic dopes it's one of the worst all time episodes
But to me that gives it a place of love and honor in my heart it's dopey episode 44 this structured episode here we go No, I'm going to start it. All right. Hello and welcome to the all new Structured version of dope the pot the structured podcast about drugs recovery addiction and dumb shit What's your name? What's your name? My name is Chris. That's great Chris and I'm recovered No, you're not. No, you're not. My name is Dave and today because of all of the negative feedback we've gotten about our rambling podcast Well, that's not true. I'd say for every three emails or people who tell us that they like the rambulant they want us to go longer
We get one that says it needs to be short and structured. Well because today a guy that I'm friends with said he thinks that we need a lot more structure I'm going to use this guide the show notes. That's a little great man. I think when you wrote dopey you took time to do the double letters Yeah, the bubble letters. Yeah, that was bubble or double me there. I think they're there. Yeah, I don't know what you go that but structured dopey Yeah, and this is the idea we have one two three four five six things if we do five minutes on each thing that's 30 minutes which allows us with 25 minutes of rambling Does that sound for structures? I'm 100% sure that those little notes that you scribbled on that folder This is not going to change the format at all of the show Well, how about this? You know that there's a best structure. You know that that's the Siri set a timer for five minutes
Okay, five minutes and counting. What does that mean? First topic, current event. No, but I got stuff to say. What do you have to say? I got some things to talk about. Siri's counting down five minutes. So we'll do five minutes of ramble and then we'll do five minutes of the first topic. Don't blow my plan. You know what's funny today is Dave was at work and he's leaving work and he calls me. He's like talking about you know we need to have the structure. We're at an AA meeting this morning and this person said we should structure it more. And so I told Dave I said yeah, I whipped up like an Excel spreadsheet and you know I merged it with PowerPoint. So I can show you when you get home this presentation on your on your television. I'll hook my laptop up to your television. You can watch it and Dave's like really? And that was just for a second. Yeah, but you believe me for a second for a second. I did. Yeah, but I also worked a full day. And what did you do? I was working. We already talked about that. I think we just talked about it again. No, you got for me.
You know what Dave does every morning, which I think is hilarious is he stands in his kitchen and he has a window in his kitchen that goes to his little porch balcony thing and he opens the window and he listens to Howard Stern on his laptop. And he smokes cigarettes and he does that ever how long you've been doing that for an eternity and you just stand there always. Well, I've done it here for two years, but I've done it for 20 years. It's like in various kids early. It's fucking early too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we also went to bed at two. Chris slept over last night. Yeah, we went to bed at two in the morning. After listening to Toby and we listened to a bunch of. Oh, yeah, we listened to the first episode. Yeah, not bad. You know, sorry. So you got the first episode. Yeah, it's not bad. And then. I woke up at six in the morning. I hadn't been to an A meeting in two weeks. Yeah, we're longer. And when I woke up in the morning, I was like, fuck, it's six in the morning.
I only slept four hours. But if I wake up now, see to be really graphic, I'll tell you my rule of thumb. If I'm going to make it to an A meeting, I need to shit before I leave the house. I don't know what he wants to hear this. What do you mean? Your bodily funk. It's so bad if I burp on the show, but you can talk that you need to shit before a meeting. Really? You don't think that's interesting? I think that if I do you do you. Do you want to just take it? I'm going to take the focus off myself for a second. Do you leave the house if you haven't shit? I don't shit in the morning. Squeeze me. Yeah, that's really that weird for you to comprehend. I do if I like go have don't eat breakfast, have a big cup of like black coffee and babe. You don't shit in the morning. No, what kind of life is that? Not everybody's like you. Dude, I wouldn't know what to do. I wouldn't know what to do. I mean, like, because I am a like. Your bathroom is great. The floor is always warm under your feet. Why is that? What do you mean? You're like radiant heating or something in your bathroom. No.
The tile is always really warm. It's because it's summer. You dummy. No, but I've been coming here for a long time. That's because there's a heat pipe in there that pumps hot water to all of the bathrooms. And because we're close to the ground because we only live on the third floor. But I would never ever, ever, in my whole life. I don't remember, but since I've worked, I would never leave the house without what do you why you have to shut off the fish tank. I was really enjoying it. Did you find that episode to be warm and nice and was because of the fish now you're stung strangled by that silence against. It's always better. Oh, be nation. Hold on. Chris, just shut off my fish tank. Did you notice? If you did, maybe you should shoot us an email about it. It's so much quieter here in here now. I'm nervous because of the silence. It's good. The focus is on the show and you. I'm strangled by the silence. Anyway, I need a full bowel evacuation before I leave my house in the morning.
Done. I will stay here until the bowels are evacuated. That's how I can go to an A meeting. That's the only way. Otherwise, I'm not going. Otherwise, I sit here and I drink coffee and I smoke cigarettes and I listen to Howard Stern. Yeah, that's what I do. You're not interested in this. No, you look like near Catedtonia. I was really upset that you deleted my intro. That thing you want to talk about that now. Why didn't series of five minute alarm go? How long has it been? It's kind of the. Oh, no, five minutes is a lot longer than I thought. Wait, hold on. Wait. All right, let's try it again. It's starting to structure time. Structure Siri set another alarm for five minutes. I never use Siri. Set an alarm for nine fifty five PM. Thank you. If you're just asked Siri dumb shit. Yeah, have you? Of course you're trying to kill my structure. Oh, yeah.
First structure current event. Tell them a cally-calkin story. Well, you know, the thing is to talk about current events. You probably actually have to read them. I just read the title of different articles. So there. Siri, tell us about McCulley Colken and heroin. Checking on that. Okay, I found this on the web for tells about McCulley Colken and heroin. Siri, would you read me the article, please? Siri, read me the article about McCulley Colken and heroin. Let me check on that. Okay, I found this on the web for McCulley Colken. I don't think Siri can read it. Can't you? It turns out that Siri is illiterate. It's our biggest shame is she can't read. All right, I'm going to read the article. We have five minutes horrible. Dude, what? We'll just fucking get the justice structure. Dopey six months to live. McCulley Colken addicted to prescript others from 2012. Fucking Siri man. Fucking Siri.
So anyway, there was this thing in my news feed that said McCulley Colken denies. Did he deny it? Oh, I don't know the story. Well, I did see some other thing, the guy from Frazier, what's the name? Kelsey Grammer. Siri, what do you know about Frazier and alcoholics anonymous? He's saying people in A.A. should drink. I'm checking my sources. Okay, I found this on the web for Frazier and alcoholics anonymous. Siri's a dumb bitch, man. She's so fucking stupid. Siri, how do you tell Siri grammar and drinking? Okay, I found this on the web for Carol, see grammar and drinking. Here we go. Secretly drinking. Let's see. Hold on, how do you do this Siri thing? You push it twice. You just hold it down. This is good. Siri, which is better? Apple or Samsung Galaxy?
Why are you wasting serious time? All the time. What? She said I'm all Apple all the time. Siri, should I kill myself? If you are thinking about suicide, you may want to speak with someone at the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. There at 1, 800, 273, 8255. Shall I call them for you? Yes. Yes. No, it's not. It's golem. Oh, God. Hard drinking. Should we fucking hell? No, this is, we can't, let's over something about it. You're ruining my structure. I'm sorry to go on. Hard drinking, Kelsey Grammer, dancing with death. One time Hellraiser, is that him? He looks like Jack Nicholson. Everybody ends up looking like Jack Nicholson. One time Hellraiser, Kelsey Grammer, is boozing again and could end up in the downward spiral that once nearly killed him. Worried pals have told radar online.com exclusively.
The former Frazier star, why not say the former chair star. The former Frazier star, 61, had been sober for nearly two decades. After shelving a sex crazed lifestyle of cross-dressing, booze, and drugs. He was a cross-dresser? Clearly he was. Did he exclusively tell radar online about that? People need to know how to move on and put things in another place. Drinking is not a vice. The chair's legend claimed. But after a DUI conviction in 1987, and a stint, how is that 20 years? 1987 is 19 years ago. But after a DUI, it's nearly two decades. Yeah, and 19 is nearly two decades. After a DUI conviction in 1987, and a stint in rehab for cocaine, he's dancing with death again.
In the 90s. Alright, we're gonna move on. It's the alarm. Okay, moving on. I thought it was hot. The next thing is gonna be drug songs. What is your favorite Siri? Give me five minutes. Okay, I found this on the web for give me five minutes. Horse with no name. No, you want to finish the Kelsey grammar story? No, we're done with it. We're doing the structure, dude. I told you we wouldn't be able to do it, and I won't prove that I'm right. Siri, maybe we should do seven minutes for a top. Okay, try seven. Okay, I found this on the web for I'm minister seven minutes for top. Do it, do it, do it. Siri, give me seven minutes. Just talk and type it in yourself, dude. Fuck you, I love to see you. Siri should be our new co-host. She's great. Siri, can you play me a song?
Oh, yeah. I found it. Look, take that, you should have that. Oh. It's about all year. I was looking at all of my life. There were plants and birds. Is that about drugs? The horse with no name is talent. That's what that song is about? Yeah. Listen, wait, wait for it. You'll get it. Wait till the chorus, and then think of her. I know this song, yeah. I know this song, yeah. The heat was hot and the ground was dry, but the air was full of sound. I've been through the desert on a horse with no name. I felt good to be out of the range. What's the range? I'm assuming it's like a concert like this. I'm assuming it's good to be out of the range. Is that the concert? It's like he's shooting dope and then it's fucking great. Right, the rain is being ill. No, the rain is just, or I don't know if it's being ill or it's just life in general. You shoot dope and there's fucking life is the rain and the horse with, it feels good.
I don't really get it, but it's supposed to be about heroin. It's not about heroin. Siri. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's not about heroin. That's Siri. Ask her. Siri is horse with no name about heroin? I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that. I'm fucking Siri. Siri is the America song, been through the desert in a horse with no name. Siri, what is Siri? What is horse with no name about? Checking. Okay, I found this on the web for what is horse with no name about. All right, here we go. You ready? Yeah. But this topic wasn't supposed to be about horse with no name. You can go let's see what we got seven minutes. We're just about out.
All right. I heard this from Mike. I'm Mike. He was an Elmod and Theolazy County jail. Siri, what is horse with no name about? That didn't tell me. Oh, fucking Siri. Interesting question. Is that it? All right, let's move on. Siri, what is horse with no name about? Haven't you heard heroin called horse? Sure. Let me think about that. Okay, I found this on the web for what is horse with no name about. Here we go. Here we go. If you're curious, go to songmeaning.com. All right. All right, it just good. Okay, the song is not about heroin. I mean, seriously. Is that what it says? Yes. Does it actually say that? No, no, it says general comment from Sound and Fury 1031.
The song is not about heroin. I mean, seriously, does the band got... So, but the thing is, if this is somebody actually commenting saying the song is not about heroin, which means that people think it's about heroin. You want me to play you the greatest heroin song in the history of heroin songs? You ready? Ready? Ready? I... How's it go? Don't know... Just where I'm going... And I'm gonna try for the kingdom if I can. Because it makes me feel like I'm a man.
When I put a spike into my vein. And I tell you things aren't quite the same. And when I'm rushing on my run. And I feel just like Jesus' son. Well, I guess that I just don't know. He says... I... Made a big decision. Like I said... And I wish that I was born a hundred years ago. On a great big clip worship. Sailing from this land to that.
With the sailors, cold and half. Well, I just don't know. And the chorus goes... And... Rolling... It's my life. And it's my wife. Be the death of me. Because when the smack begins to flow. And it shoots down the dropper's neck. And I'm closing in on death. Well, I guess that I just don't know.
It's good, man. It's good, right? Is it about heroin? Well, I think it's the best speed. You know what? It's really funny. I love Dave's music. I love his band. They're fucking great. I genuinely think they're really good. But like everything else he does, there's like soundcloud account. It's so shitty. It's like the worst crappy recordings. I come by, like, you know, I've been by when they've been practicing a couple times. And it sounds great. And then I hit play on their soundcloud thing. And it sounds like the microphones in the corner of the room. Okay, next topic. Oh, wait, hold on. I got one more thing. I got to end this. I got a 30-second Grace period. Perhaps the greatest drugs song of all time. Just so you know. Overplayed, but great. Now, come on, dude. No. They didn't speak to you when you first heard it. Oh, it's great. Yeah. Okay. Let's find another one. Do you know it was originally you had started?
She was originally a poem. Seriously? Let me get another seven minutes on the timer. Are we doing a new topic? No, let's stick with drugs on. No, no structure at all. No, we're doing 14 minutes on drugs on. No, so it's not structure if you just add time when you want to add time. It's structured and it's all bided by what we said. That's one kind of structure. I told you this would work. I think it's working really well. It's serious doing an awesome job. You want to talk about the poem. Oh, yeah. So should I not have played heroin? No, it was great. No, that's not. No, I didn't know this one. It's the vote on Underground Song. Oh, is it Francis? Yeah. Yeah, Francis. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. What are you going to do? What are you going to do? Oh, you want to hear a good drug song? Talk about your anthem. Oh, yeah. In Scarlet's issue, Anthony Kees talks about how I think his manager or something read a poem he had written and it was under the bridge. And he was like, this is fire. This is amazing. You need to turn this into a song. And so he went and turned it into under the bridge. This is like arguably one of his most successful songs ever.
And he had like an extremely difficult time actually turning it into music for some reason. And it sounds like a pretty basic song, but he said it was like super hard for him to turn it into something. Do you remember that from the book? Yeah, sort of. I'm trying to remember this song. What song? You know, uh, some song, something like some about free bass and cocaine. Oh, I got to get one. What do you got? I'm finding it. Oh, you're going to hate this. It's no any good drugs on. I couldn't find any good stuff. I know what this is. Wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. I'm trying to get it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Aw man. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Working on everything.
See what we have on it. photographs. Fine. Cool, ias. You like that song? Actually, I don't really think it's great, but it doesn't sound good to me. Linda had played me a bunch of songs, but I can't remember. Ooh, you know what's a good song? It's not actually that good a song, but it's not. Do you think the dopey nation likes what we're doing right now? I mean, we're enjoying it, but I don't know. Oh, yeah. For some reason, the only drug songs that are coming to mind are all like... Hip-Hop songs? Or comfortably numb, Pink Floyd? What's that about? It's actually about a time you went to the dentist. They weren't really into, or what's the guy's name we replaced, said?
David Gilmore. He wasn't really into drugs, and comfortably numb, I think, was about a time he got like the gas or some shit? It's nice. I don't know. Bob Dylan? Tom Pettit. Tom Pettit. Oh, shit. What are you doing? I had a preview on it. What's the song? What's the song? What's the song of the chorus?
This is good. I got one. Let's move on. I just wanted to go into the other thing though. Listen to the chorus. I don't know. I just wanted to do a different drug. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I didn't love with girl on LSD. I don't know. Just wanted to do a different drug. She'd see things I'd never see. She brought in her perspective. Then I got moreselectual. We're doing drugs. How's it going? You should know this band Stop it It's good I like that. I like what we're doing you ready. Yeah, you should know this is Oh, yeah, right how do you know?
We're going Saltwater A Nice I'm a chicken man. I'm a chicken. Run around my brain. I'm a chicken. Run around my brain. It's a classic Dylanger. Hold on. I had a good one. Oh yeah. You want to hear a good one? Yeah. I should be queuing him up while you're doing that. What, baby? I should be queuing up the next one here.
Here you go. Ladies and gentlemen. Oh yeah. I can't hear you. Oh my god, dude. I'm listening to this on the way home. I fucking love this song, dude. I heard this in years. I'm gonna talk to you about one of our most deadly. Kill us in the country today. I had a dream the other night and I was sitting in my living room. Those ought to sleep. I started dreaming. I dream I walked in a blazing. And so I real strange where I'm standing up talking to the people. And I finally I was here. At the deadlust, Logan going to a pain. He said, I came to this country without a passport. Ever since then. I'm not a steering. My little white greens and nothing but waste. Soft and deadly and bitter to taste. But I'm a wall of power. And all noise true. He used me once and you'll know it too.
I can make a mere schoolboy forget his books. I can make a world famous beauty and make a lot of looks. I can make a good man for Sikki's wife and a greedy man to prison for the rest of his life. I can make a man for Sikki's country and flag. Make a girl sell her body for $5 bag. Something my adventures enjoy in a thrill. But I put a gun in your hand and make you a girl. This is my favorite drug dealing song, you ready? You ready? Are you ready, Chris? Yeah. Why isn't it playing yet? You're not your rock, you're shit for my kiss. There's a... Damn bro shit. You know how we do this world. We still hustle to the sun come up. Crackle 40 for the sun go down. It's a cold winner. Y'all think it's better.
Run to world and I bet it's better. Okay, I got one. This is a good one, dude. You're not going to know this one. And this is your genre too. You're not a heavy beat, dude. You're not going to know this one. You're not going to know this one. You're not going to know this one. Come on, come on. Fuck no coke. Keep up, baby. Keep up, baby. Keep up, baby. That was real. Dr. Album. Not that good. Do you want to hear the greatest reggae song about... What is it? Oh, slightly stupid, no cocaine. I've got a much better song. This is the most classic drug song in my mind. What is this? I still like King Harrow when that was the best one we've played since.
I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. Thanks. Fuck. You can't, man. Not well. There's a dream of passion. I know. I know. I know. I know. Baby. I know. I know. Baby. Let me play the greatest one. Dude, we can do this for fucking hours dude. I just thought I'd like an other chore. This one you've never heard. This one you've never heard. Closeout, this is the last one. This one you've never heard. No one is doing on my apple. I tune you and keep getting commercials. Okay.
Well, now you're the sole of the story. There you go. You should've told me you'd be understanding. I'm a tellin' me a story. I'm a tellin' me a story. I'm a tellin' me a story. I like the croaking. I know we had no smoke tonight. Hey. Oh well, I like the croaking. Won't get to stand up and fight long. Don't give me any sense. willkommen천건 acha headlights car dein es produkt enjoyable Get ready for the first song. Stay there. Oh yeah, that's it. Cool. That's the... Of course. How was it? I had you too greedy. How about this? This is like kind of pro drugs.
Definitely pro drugs. But one of my favorite songs I ever heard. Do you know this song? You know this song? A drive-out. Smoke will be in the air. Is that you? What is it? You can do this one. We're gonna do a bass. What is it? You can do this one. We're gonna do a bass. Say. Never let it rest. Till all good be better. Wait till the chorus. That'll be a thing. Till the chorus. That's what we're gonna do. Hey. Say that don't drink coffee. Or they say it's just not right for me. But what makes me irate? If I could get a little piece of drink and beer, one good step. Siri, give me one last seven minutes time.
You know what we're gonna do with another seven? Yeah. Okay, seven minutes and counting. This might be the best one. Read the lyrics. As we play it. Just read it first. Right here on the right. Should I read that loud? Yeah. I'm waiting for my man $26 in my hand up to Lexington 125th. That's where I used to cop, dude. It's a really good one. Feel sick and dirty, more dead than alive. I'm waiting for my man. Hey white boy, what you doing uptown? Hey white boy, you chasing our women around. Oh pardon me, sir. It's furthest from my mind. I'm just looking for a dear, dear friend of mine. I'm waiting for my man. You want a hair? You don't know that song? That's crazy. And this is all this shit. I'm gonna cop spot for a while. This should be the dirty picture. Hey white boy, you should be the dirty picture. Hey white boy, you should be the dirty picture.
Hey white boy, what you doing uptown? You can turn this into an arm-on. I'm waiting for my man. Do I get it? Yeah. You ready this boy? No. That's crazy. Hey white boy, what you doing uptown? You can turn this into an arm-on. I'm a white boy, what you doing uptown? You can turn this into an arm-on. I'm a white boy, you chasing our women around. A friend? There, every show is kinda dumb. I'm gonna be so nervous for this one. Maybe, that's good, right? Good. All right, next topic. What do you get next on the agenda? I thought we had like five more minutes. I think we're done with this, unless you want to keep going. All right, let's see. Do you want to hear the song that Paul McCartney wrote to marijuana? Sure.
This is the song Paul McCartney wrote to marijuana. What the hell is that? Here we go. Here. Oh, it's no longer available. Well, what is it? I can get on my iPhone in a second. I'm on Apple Music. Here. Just tell me the title. Well, got to get you into my life. Got to get... So? Yeah. I was alone like to the ride. I didn't know what I would find. Hey! I'm the road where any eye could say another kind of eye. Hey! Ooh, then I suddenly see you. Ooh, did I tell you I need you? I need you every single day of my life. Good.
My uncle or my close family friend who was an uncle. Yeah. He recently died, actually. He once went to dinner with Paul McCartney. And he said the only thing Paul McCartney talked about was weed. Really? Yeah. He just stopped smoking, Paul. Really? Yeah. I used to always take X to see him listen to this song. He's gonna hate it. I'm sure. I'm sure. What's up, nigga? Yeah, yeah, what's up, my nigga? I ain't mad at this. I hate grinding money. You know it, nigga. What's up, nigga? What you need? I'm just weed. Man, I don't need you. Fuck with the weed. No, no, no. I got this new shit name. Shit. Called X to see man. I don't see no. This shit how you only level with your female and everything. Look, nigga, I mean, you want your list, my fuckers? They're to try this fun, fuck an out, man. And I bet you guys don't know how much you want to move this shit. And I'm trying to be a full shit. How you only level me? I can't get this shit down, fuck with this shit. What's up, nigga? This shit how you only level with the fucker? Give me what a motherfucker's doing, man. Take that one and fall me in the morning. Fuck.
Yeah, yeah. What's up, nigga? Yeah, he did. You ready? Yeah. You ready? Yeah. You're gonna like this one. This should be the dopey theme song. I'm stream, I don't even know what that is. Just what is it that you want to do? What we want to be free. We want to be free to do what we want to do. And we want to get loaded. And we want to have a good time. And that's what we're gonna do. But when they get to do it, we're gonna have a good time. We're gonna have the party. This was a big acid in there, man. Not really 90s, I think. You're not gonna like this one. Yeah, dude. There you go. Who is this? I'm gonna use the title stream. It's a song.
Loaded. Well, a good dopey intro here. Ready? I like this music place, shit, I don't know. You don't know anything, though. You don't know the bell, I'm not gonna wait for my man. This is a huge, exquisite thing in here. Acid, exquisite thing. It's groovy. Anyway. Yeah. How about this? A classic, you ready? Uh-huh. Classic? Yeah. She was living in a single room with three other individuals. One of them was a male and the other two. No, we have two or three males. Not only those who are up to one there, but furthermore, Susan, I wouldn't be the least of it surprised to learn that all four of them have visually smoked marijuana cigarettes.
Three firsts. Man, you have a sip? What? What time is it? Smoke the night. That's smokey, it's on the night. Yeah. That's very different, I mean, than my day. Everyone is, people are driven off. I wish we were thinking. We're doing it. I won last time. All right, they said that? Yeah, okay. It's not exactly a drug song. It's the beta song from the month. This should be the dope. It's not a drug song. It's the beta song from the month. This should be the dope. Oh, time is done. All right, that's not a bad song. I like what we're really doing. So this was technically based off of your schedule.
How far into the show should we be? I don't have this schedule. How do you know what I mean? Look what I know, look. We did a current event that got cut off. Then we didn't tell a story. Time to fix the regression mark. Drug song. I told you it wasn't going to work. Oh, drug song. We did do drug songs. Now, I wanted you to talk about lean. Lean, what, like the coding cough syrup? Yeah, because you said you drank so much cough syrup. Yeah, I never drank lean. I drank dexter mithorfen. I drank robotus and maximum strength cough. I haven't told the story on here. I don't know. Dude, this is the worst, dude. So I was like 14 and I like research something. Yeah, I've talked about this. I know I talked about DXM because Core Mac liked it. But I started drinking this stuff. Core Mac had a good song. Yeah. Dude, so I started drinking this cough syrup. Robotus and maximum strength cough, which is pure dexter mithorfen, which is what you get high off of for cough syrup. Well, you trip and it's not lean. It's like over the counter-shit. Now they have it in pill form, but back then they only had it in the cough syrup.
And I used to drink one to two eight ounce bottles of robotus and maximum strength every night. And it got so bad that I got to the point where if I smell, that was like 14, 13, I was 13 turning 14. I got so bad to the point where if I smelled the cough syrup, I'd puke, right? And then I got this only happened once. I got to the point where I went to CVS. I walked down the aisle and I saw, I saw, I saw, dude, I fucking, saw a bottle of fucking robotus and maximum strength cough and I vomited. Like my body had like a reaction to it. I just even thinking about it. Do you still get any kind of tingle? It still grows like, I just, I just, if you were drinks 16 ounces of cough syrup, it's so hard to get down, man. It's to absolutely utterly disgusting. Real nasty stuff. No. Yeah. Dude, I remember my parents actually, they found ones like like 20 bottles of road test and maximum strength cough
and they're like, what are you doing? They thought I was drinking it for like the tiny bits of alcohol in it. Well, I mean, I, you know, I, that drug is serious. What happens to you when you take it? Well, there's like, I've talked about this in the shows. There's like four plattoes. I don't think you're talking about this. Yeah, I know I did. They're remember getting into it. There's four plattoes to the drug. So platto one and two, it's like feeling drunk or drunk and high. And then only about 60% of the people that take DXM can even experience the third and fourth platto. And those are more like a dissociative anesthetic, like taking ketamine or PCP or something. And you actually start tripping and whatnot. But the problem with it is you get extremely, extremely fucking dumb the next day. And after you robo trip, you're just an idiot the next day. And they actually did a house episode about it where this guy, he's like, what are you doing? Are you, are you involved in the show? I'm trying to smoke a cigarette.
To smoke it in here. And I have a lighter. Lighting on the fucking stove. That's what I'm trying to do. Do we need to pause it? No. Do you hear cigarette? No, I'm not saying you just hear it. You seem to care. You just, you just ask me about something that you know I started talking about so you could wander the apartment. I just figured out, I know you love to talk about Roman thousands. I figured you would give me a chance to smoke a cigarette. Yeah, so it makes you dumb after you take it. And there was actually a house episode where this guy has like, like his IQ is like off the charts, like 180 or something. And he loves this girl who's like kind of dumb. And he robo trips all the time. Like he takes little amounts of DXM to make him stupider so he can like be on her level in later. And like they don't know what's wrong with him and finally they realize like house figures about it. He's like, you're robo tripping so you can be dumb and get along with your girlfriend. It's fascinating. Yeah, but I started robo tripping right when I started this new school. Where we moved back to Boston and so... You wanted to be on the level of your students? No, I just, I was in eighth grade. That would be cool.
Wait, hold on, hold on for a second. Siri, can you give us another seven minutes? What's the topic? I don't know. Okay, check it out. So we just have a seven minute timer. Siri, give us a seven minute timer. Okay, seven minutes. She didn't get Siri, can you give us another seven minutes? I was flew right over her head. I was thinking, you know what it makes me think about is nitrous. And I know I talked about the dentist nitrous. I used to do the whip ins, oh you were the whip ins? Yeah. You see the William Sonoma like can you know? Like the little cracker suck with the punching bags. But if you got the canister you could do like three or four in a row. Did you like whip ins? Well, you get a tolerance so it's so quickly. At first you take like one whip and you're rocked. And then like after I was doing it for a bit I need to like run five of them in a row. And I barely feel it. But what about like out of a tank? I never did that. You never did that? No. Oh my god. I was at a fish concert right? Dude, this is wild. And my friend, I don't know why I ended up doing it.
My friend had a fucking bubbler right? At least the name that you know we're like 17 and 15. So he had this bubbler and he actually stole it from people in a party. You know, it was like a really nice $300 bubbler. And he was standing there. What did he name it? Bubbly? No, fell course name was car. Or something. You know it's so dumb. I don't even know. I feel like an idiot. Name your car. Name your bubbler. Oh, we're going to go run dirty loops and fell core. Dirty loops was like smoking around, like driving around smoking weed. You're doing like 16, 17. So fucking anyways, this kid with a... You know it's so funny. I don't know if I said this on the show. The whole dirty loop thing. I remember we were like 16 and 17. We'd all get together and smoke weed and drive around. And like near my high school, there were certain roots that were like good to do it. Because there was like really like the houses were spaced out. There was no cops ever. And then by the time I was 18, I would go smoke weed by myself without my friends. And I'd be driving around smoking weed and I'd see a car coming. And I'd be like, oh shit. And I'd like keep it down low. And I'd look and it would be my other friend that we used to smoke weed together.
But our addiction progressed where we didn't share anymore. They were awful fired. So you would even put a jam too. And then we'd like pull up and roll the windows out. I'd just start laughing. You know, then we'd start laughing. And I'd like hold up the pipe that was in my lap. And then he'd like hold up his and we'd, you know, gorse every way. That's sad. It is. That's very sad story. Yeah. Oh, anyways. So he took... He was at a fish concert and he did a balloon, right? And he had this nice bubbler. And he fucking fell out. And he started falling backwards like he was going to pass out. And he just talked the bubbler into his chest and went straight down to the building. Bulber didn't fucking spill. Nothing even happened. But he was out on the ground. I remember legendary. I didn't take that much nitrous. But whenever I was at a grateful Dutch show or a fish show, I would find the guy with the balloons. And I would just stay there. I would just keep, I'd buy balloon after balloon. And I would get to that. You hear that sound in your head?
You never did that? Yeah. And I mean, I get to the whip. I never did the tank stuff. The tank stuff was way purer. That stuff was a... It was like medical grade dental stuff. Oh, yeah. Todd's father is a dentist. Really? He would steal tanks all the time. Really? Yeah. There was a crazy grateful dead story where like they were, they had, they were always had tanks. Like if you watch the grateful dead movie, the whole thing starts. You know what they call it, right? What? You know the nickname for nitrous? What? Hip-Hip-Hack. Yeah. Yeah. The grateful dead movie starts with all of them, like backstage with this huge tank of nitrous. And each member of the dead has his own hose. And they're just, you know, sucking down the nitrous. But in, um... There was a grateful dead story where like... I'm not going to be able to tell it, but the top of the, of the tank came off and it froze everything in the car. Oh, really? Yeah. You know what the one drug, like terrified me was? No. Like inhalings. It was the only drug where I was like... Like huffing? Yeah, like doing dust off. Like I did it a little bit, but it's just so, like it makes you stupid.
It's really bad for you. And it was the only drug where I was ever like... I like what it did. It fucked me up a lot, but I was like, I'm nervous to do this a lot. I'd fucking bang coke, do like push, like huge loads, fucking seize out. You know, really dangerous shit. But for some reason, huffing always made me nervous. I never did it. I was scared to death of that. Everybody doesn't rehab because they can't test for it. So like you go to like a sober living and it's always like some idiots doing dust off in their room. How do you do it? Well, duh. I mean, you can do like, I started originally like, I'd take Glade and put like a towel over it and bite down on it. And then like it would catch the like, whatever, like the popery, smelling shit. And then you just get the inhalant. But dust off is... You can get high from Glade. Yeah, it's just anything with propel in it. I mean, there's probably five things in your house. You can get high off the raid in there if you want it. It'd be really stupid. It was poison. It's all poison though. Yeah, but no dust off is like just straight inhalant, you know what I mean? It was just to dust your keyboard off so you don't know if shit to catch. See, we listened to the drug songs and now we're... That was fun.
I like that. But now we're high on drug stories. I know. You see what's happened? Firing in all cylinders, but they're not good cylinders. No, it's good. I was, you know, I'd like to shift our... He's still two minutes on this topic. What is this topic? I don't even know what we're talking about. I don't know either. The topic was lean. I read this article about this rapper future. Yeah. And he swears by lean. Is he panda? He sounds like the panda guy. Who's the panda guy? Dude, I don't know. I listened to the velvet underground and the... He's from the Monsters. Is he panda song dude? No. Should I play it? Sure. Just so you know it. This is like... No, this isn't even new shit. Dude, this is like at least six months maybe a year old. Do you think Bailey... Oh, it's a sign. This guy sounds like future. You know what I'm saying? It's catchy. You're gonna hate it? I could be hate, have you been? But it's seven catchy. Wait for the talk. We're not gonna like play the other song. You channel people.
I guess so. They went through a super long time and then... I'm gonna film my vibe right now and film myself. Panda. Panda. Panda. Panda. Panda. I got brought in a line. Just a dolly in the front. Pretty cool and it's kinda... What's this guy just doing? He's mixing the vibe. Yeah, this is the vibe. Definitely. I think it's probably a panda. I don't even know if it's right. It might be about the famous Chinese giant panda, Ming Ming. I heard pandas have to pick one of their children to feed and they let the other baby die or something. Is that true? I don't know. We still 20 seconds. You got anything else about me? This type of sucks. I think his structure is a bad idea. You don't think Bailey's gonna listen to it and be like, that's exactly what the show is supposed to do. You got to send him the exact same stuff. This is the structure episode. Yeah.
Come on, Siri. So tell the nation that we have the... Possibly we'll be getting a producer in here. Who's the producer? What do you mean, John? He's not a producer. John, no. You had to tell them. Sure. You might be getting a producer. No, he would do sound effects and stuff. Doesn't that have a producing? No, he would be like the... It's been mixed master. Like engineering. Engineering. Will I get an engineer? Yeah, John. Siri, give me another seven minutes. Why are you even doing... You can't say that. You have to say... Give me a seven minute timer. Siri, set a timer for seven minutes. Fucking Siri. Please set a timer for seven minutes. You know what's hilarious is we start these and some days... I'm getting some counting. I'm like, there's no way we're gonna be able to do an hour right now. And it's like, it's been 51 minutes and like, we haven't even started. Hold on. Okay, I want to talk about the A meeting. No, you can't. You gotta believe that. The 12th step.
Yeah, I'm talking about the 12th step meeting. So I hadn't been to this fellowship. You've proved a lot. You used to be talking about the people in your name. You're worried about... Okay, so I went to a fellowship meeting this morning. And... Can I close the door? I think it's this high-powered microphone. It's gonna be thinking about... The speaker looked exactly like Jackson Brown. Oh, the guy who was speaking tonight? Yeah. Dude, I thought he looked like Anakin Skywalker. Or a Luke Skywalker. He did. I was talking to Haley and what's Bailey, whatever's name was after meeting. I was like, dude, is that guy related to Luke Skywalker? Yeah, what about Bailey? He's like, he's sort of laughing and he's like, it's funny. Because the first thing I thought was, is this guy a movie star? Do we have to believe the B name? Well, ask him. My sponsor's not gonna like this. He's just listening. Huh? He just listened. But are we blowing his end in emity? Well, we'll ask him. We'll say we use your first name. Is it alright? Okay. He said he'd come on the show.
Right. Okay, so, anyway, so the guy, the speaker, says, and I thought I wanted to share about this. I left John's live on Periscope. Should we see what he's doing? Dude, I'm talking to you. I'm talking to you. Come on, to keep going. You want to see what Wyclef John is doing on Periscope? I've never actually looked at it. I always subscribe to him and he goes on a lot. But keep going. I'm just keep talking. Tell him we're doing Dopey and see if he wants to come on. I have a feeling that he has a lot of people already watching him even though it's been about 30 seconds. I don't even know what the Periscope app looks like. Keep going. I can't find it in there. Anyway, so he said, this is really going to bring the show to a halt. But he said the difference between, he said what sobriety is is it's thinking before you act. Yeah, I heard that. I heard that. And I was going to share how much I love acting before thinking. Well, it's like, so basically, I mean, this is something that they use for poor executive functioning and ADHD, but it applies to addiction too. Because they're all centered.
You pronounce ADHD the way Vinnie pronounced Louis CK. Really? ADHD. They're all related to prefrontal cortex stuff. I'm going to just submit it for itself. But anyways, they say Ready Fire Aim, which is the same thing he's talking about. Right. Yeah. But I was going to share how much I, you know, I like thinking before I act. That's always a good thing. However, I love, I still love getting fired up and acting before I think. I treasure those moments. Well, you need to find outlets where that you can do that. And it's like dopey. Like paintball? You should aim. You should probably aim before you fire and paintball. Well, I mean, some people call that being in the moment. Right. But so anyway, so I raised my hand and he looked at me and the whole meeting went by and he didn't call on me. Do you know the guy? No. And I'm thinking this motherfucker and I'm like, he's only calling on the people he knows.
And I'm getting pissed. And then like the meeting's winding down and I'm like, don't get pissed at this guy. It's fine that he doesn't call on you. You don't really have anything to say anyway. And I felt better at the end. What do you think? Do you ever feel bad when they don't call on you? I never raised my hand. I only really speak unless I actually I rose my hand because Ryan, who was on dopey, spoke at a meeting the other day and I felt compelled. What did you say? I talked about a quote that he has that stuck with me. He always says something like, you know, you might not be the wisest person in the world, but you can have some grace if you just shut the fuck up. And that's very Ryan. He's very quiet and calculated in what he says and then like leaves you wanting more from him. Yeah, you know, absolutely. Yeah. You know, next month is my year. There you go. You know, it's so beautiful as thinking about dopey. You know, we started this.
You had like six months or something and I had like two years. And so we're both like, I mean, we've been the differences. We've been around it for a long fucking time. So it's not like it's the first six months you had the first two years I had. But at the same time, as we continue to do this, our sobriety is going to grow and blossom. I'm just nervous it's going to get to a point because there's some, I mean, how often you see like a really old timer that gets into like a war story. We're not like that one, but maybe we'll get there. Well, look at Noah. Well, actually, to be old time or status, I mean, the old timer say your newcomer until you have five years. I don't know. Are you an old time when you have five years? No, you're not a newcomer anymore. Well, that makes sense. Yeah, that makes sense. Well, some people say you're all sorts of stuff. Anyway, so I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to speak something. You know why I want dopey to be popular? I was, sorry, continue. I'm going to put you off. You know why I want to be popular? And you're not going to believe this. You're going to call foul on it. Yes. But I'm being 100% authentic. Yes. I want dopey to be really popular for many reasons.
What? But the number one primary reason that supersedes everything. Yes. I swear to God, I'm being honest. Yes. And I go with this. Is that anything that's popular is going to be so fun to sit and do it with you and to watch like how, like you handle it. It's going to be really fun to handle it with you, but also just to see you. I don't know. I just, I just, that would be really beautiful. I don't know. What are you talking about? What is because like you have like all these like ideas and shit and you talk about it and you think about it. But like let's say it ever gets really popular whether you were getting shit loads emails, you know, and like, you know people want to come on the show. I'm just going to love witnessing the way you handle it. What do you expect? I don't know. I know it's going to be fun. What do you mean? I just think it's going to be fun. What about it? It's like something that you've always wanted and it's just going to be like you're, it's going to consume a lot of your energy. Like it doesn't now. That's what I'm saying. It already does and it's going to consume more.
No, it's going to become like casual. It will. What do you mean? What about you? He fucking checks the dopey counter. He goes, he goes, Dave, five minutes have passed. Do you think we got more downloads? Who? We got two downloads. Who do you think is downloading it? Every five minutes. That's another day of I was like send the link to somebody who was like, I don't know, somebody I know is send me famous. And I'll check and it'll be like, you know, at something and I'll check it five minutes later and I'll have another one down there and I'll be like, he's listening to it. Yeah. There we go. Okay. Well, that was the, the four-maned dopey. Yeah, we're done. All right. Now, we talk about, we did songs, songs was fucking great. I can't believe we went that long. We got to talk about the rest of the words I'm going to. We'll save, we'll do another movie episode and we'll do excerpts from the movies because that was great. But we'll have to actually invest some time and cue them up because we can't eat them.
Well, that's what John would do. We can't as easily do it. That would be John's fault through the cracks. Why? I hope he doesn't. I just feel like the structured episode was really good. There was no structure. Sure there was just another bit. What do you mean? You know exactly what I mean. No, I take explainings. It requires no clarification. No, explain it to me. It just turned into more stick. I like the way he said stick though. No, it's nice. Does it feel good? It does. It always does. I know. Dopey Nation. As often as you can say the word stick, say it. You're going to like it. Yeah, and write us a review. You can do it some good. That's Chris's stick. But usually he says drop a review. Drop a review. And rip some butts. Or write an email. Dopeypodcast.gmail.com. Don't be a stranger. You know? Keep coming back. It works if you work it. Scorched if you jerk it. I don't like that one.
Is that juvenile? Yeah. I like when they say what are the prayer and medication? I used to be, I used to, I was at this one rehabbing. There used to be some line. I don't hear it anymore. But first of all what I'm saying Gart solution to that is ISheffal you hear people sing literally Risenblinker, herっちmote instead of the secret What's the secret of gelta? Yeah. Erhmm. Yes. Be careful. Otherwise my conclusion is that after my vision, my vision is that is a tomorrow to come. a custom shellingsoftive like a well. Do you? Yeah, I used to. I know it's still built in like if I went to a night. Oh yeah, in like 2011, you did NA. I remember you for a period you were going to NA. Yeah, constantly. Yeah. Yeah. Because I'm not an alcoholic. Yeah, but alcohol is just better. I know. But I like I sit there and like every time I share I want to be like, I'm not really an alcoholic, but yeah, you know, you don't have to
say that. No, but you felt compelled. You know what? It was pretty cool as I did with some CA, like a really good CA meeting in Portland, Maine ones. And it was like what CA was supposed to be or something. And in CA, you can talk about the obsession and the compulsion as it applies to cravings for cocaine, which I think has like a whole unique thing if you're cocaine. You're blowing the tradition here. No, I'm not just describing it. I'm not saying I'm part of it. Are you sure? I forgot for you because there's this thing I want to say about MA, but it's kind of not nice. Is that the only tradition? Don't say it. Why not? Just tell me after. But I want to say it. Don't say it. I'll regret it. No. Okay. So what are you going to say about CA? I'm dumb, but what I said about CA. What do you mean? You can talk about the obsession and compulsion. So like something for me was like when I would shoot coke, I would think about registering in the needle, like the blood rushing in. And when I got clean, I would constantly like have intrusive thoughts about the blood rushing in the needle with like clear liquid
to be shooting coke. And that will be the biggest craving. And like you could actually like delve into that in CA and talk about it. And because people are going to identify it with it and stuff. Or like in AA, I would never do that. You know? I think you're violating truthfully. I think I probably won't, but just say something. Goodbye. That's it. Okay. We're done. Wrap it up. Don't you think? Yeah. Dopey Nation. Stay strong. Stay strong. What else we got to say anything else? Tell them to write a review. Yeah. Write us a review. Please. We need the folks at iTunes. Tell them how happy we have. We have this new mic. We invested in the process. We invested in shit to make you know what you should tell them. Tell them about the dinner I made tonight. Oh, it was fabulous. He's saying it was so bad. We minced garlic for the first time in my life. Just like they do it in good fellows. Not really though. He was like Christmas like I don't know how to cut garlic. I was like didn't you see good files? Oh yeah. It was funny. That's all you needed to say.
But tell them about the dinner. The dinner was fabulous. It was brussels sprouts, cut in half, seasoned and sauteed in a pan with garlic and soy sauce, and then they broiled chicken, boneless thighs, peppers, onions, carrots, rosemary, and then he added some rice that he bought at the Chinese store. What about soy vei? What about soy vei? Yeah, I didn't have any soy vei so I can't comment. I recommend soy vei very teriyaki. Maybe they'd sponsor dopey. I love soy vei. Yeah. All right. Goodbye, tools. Stay strong.
Be good, so bad. Bad desires all I ever had. And I want to take the ride up in the sky. What is there of claims that's best be fine? And I want to seal the air, jet liner, take a dive, just to show all of these people what it means to be alive. But I want to be good, so bad. Want to be so good, so bad, so bad. I want to be good, so bad. Bad desires all I ever had.
