Thomas & Trocheck Trade Talks Continue

It's been almost a week since the NHL trade deadline, but talk about St. Louis Blue Center,

Robert Thomas and New York Ranger Center, Vincent Trollcheck.

Shows no signs of slowing down.

Thomas, the 26-year-old playmaker, drew interest from teams like the Buffalo Sabers, Utah

Mammoth, Detroit Redwings, Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins, and Carolina Hurricanes before

the deadline last Friday.

The Blues held firm with a steep asking price.

Reportedly around three first round draft picks, and Thomas has a full no-trade clause plus

the contract.

Running through the 2031 season, at $8.125 million per year, on average, Thomas said he had

no idea if any big offers came in, and most fans figured the Blues might shop him again

this off-season when cap space opens up.

Meanwhile, Ranger Center, Vincent Trollcheck, 32-years-old, faced similar buzz from the

Bruins, Hurricanes, Redwings, and Minnesota Wild.

But A, high-priced tag that included prospects and picks kept him put, leaving him relieved

to focus on the eyes for now.
