Titans' Draft Picks & Free Agents: Competition Ahead

On April 28th, Titans assistant general manager Dave Ziegler broke it down for reporters two days after the NFL draft, laying out the team's plans, moving forward.

He talked up the offensive line, saying they've got solid options after signing Center Austin Schlotman and Guard Cordell-Volsen in free agency, joining Second Year Guy, Jackson Slater.

But they're not done yet, planning to bring in more competition this spring, especially since player Cougan can flex between Center and Guard.

Ziegler highlighted second-round mind-backer Anthony Hill Jr. from Texas, praising his sideline speed and violent style.

Heels got a real shot to compete right away, but it'll come down to him owning the playbook, weight room, and practice field to earn that trust.

On fourth overall pick-wire receiver, Carnell Tate, the whole organization agreed he's a perfect fit, knowing exactly where he'll line up and what.

Meanwhile, sixth round running back Nick Singleton from Penn State packed size and speed for explosive plays with potential to contribute early and long-term.

Overall, it's all about competition and earning spots across the board, so expect the Titans to keep tweaking the roster as these guys prove.
