Titans' New Guards: Volson's Spot on the Line

On April 28th, the Tennessee Titans headed into the 2026 NFL Draft, needing serious help inside their offensive line, especially at right, guard and center.

But General Manager Mike Borgonsi held off until day 3 to grab two big guys, offensive lineman Fernando Carmona and Pat Cougan.

These rookies share that gritty, no nonsense vibe battle-tested college blockers with real leadership and toughness.

Borgonsi clearly wants to inject some fire into a line, they got pushed around last season.

Now the interior is stacked, putting heat on free agent signing Cordell Voulsen, who they brought in on a one-year deal worth 3.2 million.

Dollars with a 2.4 million cap hit. Voulsen starting spot at right guard is far from safe heading into camp.

You got veteran Austin Schlotman pegged as the center favorite, sophomore Jackson Slater versatile, at guard or center, and these new draftees.

Mixing it up everywhere.

Voulsen brings 48 career starts, way more than the 0 from Slater and Carmona combined, but he's been just average so far.

Training camp will sort this out quick, the Titans are betting on higher upside from the kids, and Voulsen better show why he's the vet they paid for.
