Titans Restructure Ridley's Contract, Keep Quarterback's Familiar Target

On March 15th, the Tennessee Titans released cornerback,

Lajerius' need this weekend, and right after that,

all eyes turned to veteran-wide receiver, Calvin Ridley.

Instead of cutting him as many expected,

Ridley agreed to a contract restructure

that keeps him on the roster for 2026.

Coming off a tough season cut short by injury,

Ridley faced a $28 million cap hit,

hit the team couldn't afford.

The new deal is clearly team-friendly,

dodging a release that would have freed up

$13 million in space.

Fans pretty much saw the writing on the wall

for Ridley embraced for his exit,

but the Titans chose to hold on.

This gives second-year quarterback Cam Ward

a familiar target after they showed strong chemistry

and training Cam last year.

Reports say the restructure details are still coming out,

but it sets up Ward and Ridley for another shot

to click on the field.

New offensive coordinator Brian Dable adds to the optimism

having coached Ridley back at Alabama.

With the bull also bringing in wide-out Wandel Robinson,

whom he worked with in New York,

the Titans now have a solid top duo
