Welcome back to Two Judgy Girls, this is Mary from the Bay. And it's Courtney from LA. This is Earl Meats World Recap. You have been obsessed with her and yet I don't think that you loved the reality show. I didn't like it. I thought it was lame and I thought it was fake. Explain why. Well, it really kicked off with her driving that enterprise truck to Braxton's house. And I thought, this is fake. This is a lie. I'm sorry, roadway, piece of cake. Come on. And then she opens up the truck and there were like three things in it. And I just thought, Alex, are you lying to me? And I felt betrayed.
So I just did not like it, but I watched it all in one day as I did have COVID. So it was a healthy background for me the entire day and bad. And I recommend binge eating it. Do you think the movers just weren't shown and that they were in the house packing the stuff up and then they were going to load that enterprise truck and then she was going to take it to somewhere else in Miami? I think she had already moved out. Okay. Okay. It's very Kardashian-esque to me. I wasn't taking it as an Emmy award-winning reality show. I liked it. I think she's actually more boring on TikTok and I think her family dynamics are crazy. And I think the way that everyone in her family basically uses her maybe minus her mom and partially maybe Ashton. But the family revolves around Alex because she is the cash cow. They put so much time and energy on her. They put so much pressure on her. She's 25. And then also they all want the spotlight too. It's crazy how much I felt like Alex was being gasslet throughout the whole thing.
But it also very much reminded me of the Kardashians when they first started out. TJ also has his own money. He comes from a wealthy background. He has a very successful business and it's growing and getting bigger. His construction business. I think he like he basically like works on interstates and I think it originally is in New Jersey now. It's like Philadelphia. He is a solid businessman and obviously he became the dadager. I kept on looking at him and I was like, who does he look like? Who does he look like? And if you listen to our Patreon, you know, I was like, what was that movie with the seal and whoopie goldberg? Yes. Karina Karina. And it was Ray Leona, not of good fellows or anything like that of the movie Karina Karina. And that's all I could see Ray Leona. But I was way more fascinated in Ashley and that situation than anything else.
TJ I don't think is a good manager for the girls. I think he also favors Alex obviously but he's also Ashton's manager. I think he does a good job in the financial aspect and I think that he should remain that way in the business. But I think those girls need to get new management. TJ also blurs the line between dadager, dad and husband and the way that he gaslights Alex because he wants to defend Ashley who we will get right into that. But do you think that Alex needs to apologize for Ashley's mistakes because she has a half Guatemalan niece? I was kind of feeling bad for Alex in certain aspects. When I found out for Christmas, he gave her an orange because he was going to pay for just one of her boobs. I was like, this kind of tells you a lot about who this dad is. What is that? I think he's, you know, once his girls to be successful and will go through any means to make that happen.
Also, he is the person that is living off a scandal as well. He is not shy from the limelight. Ashley Earl is not either. She was on a reality TV show in 2011 called Famous Foods with Heidi Montauk and their relationship getting started. I like deep dive this on TikTok. I saw her 2020 clips. Obviously, she was a high-end escort. She was famously with Elliot Spitzer, who was the governor of New York at the time. And it's funny. This happened in 2008. This was Kardashian era. I was drunk at the bars in PB and I was like, this guy does look familiar. And I vaguely, vaguely remember that reality TV show too. But it's like they've always been hungry. Daniel Stobb was on that reality TV show as well and T.J. shows up at the end. And I'm just like, these people have been craving attention their entire lives.
It's so funny that you're relating Ashley Dupree with Famous Foods. The reality show and not the big scandal of Elliot Spitzer. That was the biggest thing in the world. It is crazy that she was only 23 years old when that happened. But the fact that they're also trying to whitewash this a little bit about what her past was. Obviously, she has three kids now. And just be like, I was young and I was told I could just go out on dates for money. If you want to go into that Famous food clip, she says she was a prostitute. And that's not who she is anymore. But going on that reality show after this, I kept thinking too. And I know escorts are different, but I kept thinking about Monica Lewinsky and how raked over the coal she was for being young. And she was seducing Bill Clinton as if he wasn't in this power position being the president of the United States. And I just thought, like, God, at 23, it is really crazy to think about how different her life was to where it is because she will, even though she doesn't want to be will, always be somewhat of her claim to fame.
Now, I think they're trying to rehab her image and say, well, no, now she's just Ashley Earl, who was the mistress for Alyssa and TJ. And Alyssa is a saint when TJ said we should get her on the golden bachelor. That whole double date for Valentine's Day was crazy to me. She's friends with the mistress. Like, Ashley is the mistress that broke up their marriage. Now I'm sure that there were multiple women. I don't believe that it was only Ashley, but that he was caught with Ashley. And now she has to be friends and she's putting aside how much she hates her ex-husband for the love that she has for her daughters in order to have this new modern blended family and how involved she is with those other kids too and how they will vacation together. They go out to dinner together. I have to assume a lot of that was hopefully for the show because I don't know how somebody could do that over and over again. Like she has way more willpower than I do and way more strength than I do. But this is the woman who broke up your marriage and then is making a joke at dinner saying
all men cheat. It's also crazy that they're still together if you think about it. Well, I think because he cheats. Yeah. Very lewd. They probably have some sort of understanding and I think that they have a really strong family life and if she's okay with it and he's okay with it then okay, but I just can't imagine because you know how you get him is how you lose when they say. That is very, very true. She actually like fascinated me the most because I couldn't tell are you jealous of Alex? Are you writing off her coat tails? But then there's also she really wants the girls to like her. That closet scene where they're trying on all her clothes and getting ready to go to Nashville and they're talking about like I used to put toothpaste in your shoes and I saw a whip one time and the nare thing and then they're like, but Ashley actually you can come to Nashville
with us. And then they're realizing in that moment too, they're the same age Ashley was when they were first introduced to her and they're like, oh my god, this is crazy. But Ashley puts a lot of pressure on those girls to forgive her for breaking up their family because it's like, well, okay, yeah, that happened. But like look at the family we have now and it's like, well, yeah, you have to make lemonade out of lemons. Okay, sure, but like you broke up the family. Like you were the other woman in the affair with our mom who is always going to be our mom and will be our number one. I know it's been 17 years at this point. It doesn't matter. You can forgive, I guess, but you're wanting these girls who I'm sorry, Alex is what five or something at the time when it happened. Like, hello, what do you expect to get from this? Because now, oh, it's okay because your dad has stayed with you. I think Ashley is so jealous of Alex. I think a lot of her family is jealous of Alex. Not because they're like, oh, I wish I was Alex, but like they like the spotlight.
They like what she's done. They don't want to live in her shadows because I think that a lot of them think that they could be a star in their own right. They just haven't found their quote unquote moment. And I think while Ashley cares for Alex, I think she also is like, well, I could do that. And she's doing that through Isabel, the 13 year old. I think she's trying to push Isabel into the Alex position so that she can be like, see, this is my daughter doing it too. Of course, of course. So they have Isabel, Penelope and TJ. What did you think about them being involved in the show? Did you like that? Thomas, I think he's cute. I think Isabel is cute. I think Penelope is a handful, but it feels weird to judge an 11 year old or how cool she is. But they were kind of giving me a little bit of early Kylie and Kendall when they were on the Kardashians at that age too. It's like, oh, a star is born. Right. Right. What did you think of the kids? It's crazy. These kids being on TV, you know, and I thought it was really funny. Like basically, their confessional was at their in-home nail salon.
I think it added like comedic timing. I loved his dinosaur obsession. He was a doll. He's probably my favorite in some ways. He's the star behind Alex then Ashton after him. You know what was hard? I think a lot of it was about Ashton. And I felt sorry for Ashton, but I didn't gravitate towards her and I didn't really like her. Oh, I found a new appreciation for Ashton after this show. There are somewhat of the co-leads here because you can't make these children like the big stars of it. You mentioned the nail salon. Like Isabel got really into nails and she made her a set of nails for her skincare premiere. She's gotten really into nails and as a girl who loves to do at-home nails, I connected with Isabel on that too. Totally. I just kept on singing the song, living in the shadow. Someone nails his dreams. Ashton is actually Simpson though. She's like the punk rock, the darker version, the edgier version.
It's so true. And I think Ashton was also partially thrown into this too because they're like, oh, look at what your sister's doing, look at what your sister's doing. You should do that. These are just these college girls. And TikTok is so funny because in COVID, it became so popular because people were using TikTok as their Instagram story and it was this new app. And people were just like telling stories because there was nothing to do at the time. And then Alex gets famous and then it's like, oh, well, of course her sister should too, right? But I think her sister is like, well, I have other interests and I don't want to do the same things Alex is doing. But then she's the star. She really does live in our shadows. I felt bad for her. I guess it's just like I've seen this story before. So it wasn't that interesting to me. I think the COVID is giving you hate or age because you seem pretty passionate talking about it right now. I give it a C. OK, that's fine. It's a first season when House of Stasi was released.
It was like, boom, you have to watch these shows all at once if you want to be a part of the conversation. These shows come out so fast. People are binging them. People are going all the way to the end. My friend was like, oh my god, what did you think about the last minute of the season? I'm on episode two. Give me a second. You know, well, even like I came back from Tahoe and I didn't have a smart TV. So I didn't even like log on. And then I was like, how far did you get thinking we were doing episode one? You're like, I watched the whole thing. I was like, what? When I came home, I put it on in the background. I just started like cleaning and stuff because it's a background show. That was pretty easy to get through. But I think when I'm watching Ashton, it's funny because there's a little bit of jealousy of the sisters in the sense of I think like Ashton's like, oh, wow, I would love to get the attention that Alex is getting even from my own family, from my own family. And then I think Alex is jealous that Ashton has, and I say normal relative, but Ashton is living this life that I think Alex sometimes wishes she has that she could be in one place
at one time. She introduces Ashton to her friends and now all of her friends hang out with Ashton because Ashton is physically in New York all the time while Alex is traveling around. You can see, you mean, if you have sisters, you guys, you know what a sister fight is like where it is lethal. You do not get involved with sisters are fighting because. Yeah, you can't be a part of it. No, because it's the meanest things that you could ever say to someone like, but then if anybody else were to ever say that about your sister, you're like, so now I have to kill you. Right, exactly. But bringing up the friend part of it, you have Sally who we've been introduced to as Alex's childhood friend who they seemingly had a falling out. And then it feels like Alex kind of got popular on TikTok and Sally reappeared. Oh, they had a falling out. I didn't know about this falling out. Not falling out just like they weren't as close anymore. I did when you go to college, you're not as in touch with all of your friends as much as you were when you were seeing them every day at school. And so I think they just grew apart. And then I think Alex started to get famous and Sally came around.
Now what are your thoughts on Sally? Oh my God. The entire time them mean like we got a fire Sally, we got a fire Sally. And then when Alex actually did it hung over as fuck. I think Sally was truly blown out of the water. She's like, wait, what? I'm not on the payroll anymore. I know I literally did nothing, but this was my income. This is so funny. I think Sally was like, yeah, you've been soft-watching fire me forever because it's a fake job. Sally wasn't really doing it and Sally wasn't doing her job because Alex wasn't giving her the content. I don't think she was surprised at all. How much do you think she was getting? I don't know, maybe 60K. Have you so curious? Yeah. Yeah, I don't think she was surprised at all when she got fired because it was fake. If you want to talk about fake, like I think she was like, yeah, I'll run Alex's Snapchat. I guess another point for the fake category. Yeah, I think it was like probably because it is probably nice to have a trusted friend that you're like, okay, you're going to post on my behalf. I don't have to teach you who I am.
You know who I am. But if I have to get approval from you constantly about what to put on that. And I heard that the Snapchat creator fund was paying out the wazoo for content. So like it was a lucrative place to be. Okay. So weird. They don't want two 40-year-old content. We could post our days, too. It would be quite different than Alex Earl, I think. It would be. I don't think Sally was super surprised by it. She said she's a nepot-friendly. That was funny. I think she comes from money, too. So I think it was just like, hey, do you want to be on the payroll? Right. Well, I think it was like she was looking for a job that made sense at the time and it didn't end up working out. Yeah. But like I don't think it affected their friendship at all. Sometimes you cannot involve friends and family in business because you had these blurred lines of it. It took Alex three months to quote unquote fire her and she decided to do a while they were hungover after they had been out till 5am and there was a camera in their face and they were part sharing a water bottle. Just felt like maybe that wasn't the best time but I don't think that there ever is a
good time for Alex and Sally. Let's take a break and come back and talk about the New York friends. Okay. So these friends of Peyton and Julia, they went to college with Jake Shea and at USC and they're part of that for some with Brett Chaudy and they all lived together and then Julia and Peyton moved to New York. Oh, okay. I didn't know that. And they went to the same place that summer house has taken us, that next jet has taken us with that basketball beer pong. Right, right, right, right. They have a separate chat of Brunettes and bejeweled one with Alex and one without. Now, I have to assume the one without is because they're making plans. They're hanging out. I mean, you do this. Are you the Alex? I guess so. I guess I'm the blonde. Yeah. You don't respond. I'm just letting you know. You know, we literally made the chat for you and then you never responded to that. I do.
I do. Mary. I do. Yeah. Go look. You know who doesn't respond? Someone that lives in Minnesota. I know. She's really changed her tunes and she moved. We might have to start one without her. But I think it would be really hard to be Alex because and I can see like the jealousy because I'm like, oh, God, she's being so immature. But then I'm like, I also get it though. Like I introduced you guys. You guys have all of these inside jokes without me. I'm like work, work, working. I'm always on the go. And then I want to come hang out and I feel like I'm left out because I don't know what you guys are talking about. No, I felt bad for her in that moment. Like it's overall hard to feel bad for Alex. Sure. Rich people problems. Yeah. Like I was staring at her and I'm like, oh my God, you are literally like the most gorgeous person I've ever seen. I mean, she will have no makeup on. Her hair is flawless. Like she is just sincerely stunning.
I texted my friend. I was like, oh, she looks so different on TV than she looks on TikTok. Oh, really? I thought she was like so stunning. I think she's very pretty, but I just thought she looked totally different. I think TikTok also puts like filters on and stuff. I'm also like, is she kind of like the Pam Anderson of our time? Like who would we compare her to? I'm kind of the Kim Kardashian in a way. Okay. No sex tape. Mm-hmm. That was seen yet. TJ is probably working on putting that out. Have you seen the Kim Kardashian one? No. No, I'm just saying like that's out in the universe. Oh, yeah. I was like, oh my God. The other day you said you didn't like soft core porn when you were doing pleading your camey. So now we got from our second instance. I never saw Kim Kardashian's or Paris Sundance. No. One night in Paris. Or the Pam and Tommy one. No. You can't be Anderson. No, I never saw that either. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Okay.
What did you think of Sally and Ashton's double date? I was like, who are these paid actors pretending like they're business fit? That one man's comeover was absolutely insane and so distracting. They had really cute accents. But I love in real time she's dating Landon Barker. Mm-hmm. Just as a side note, one of the guys on that, if you go on TikTok, he's called the pint doctor and he literally just chugs pints of beer. Oh. But it's weirdly attractive. Okay. But the pipeline of Kardashian Earls, like, okay, yeah, Ashton is dating Landon Barker. Now she, I believe, went to Travis's premiere, not in the photos and then Landon also came to their premiere for Earl Meets World. They had been spotted. My friend was at, I think it was at the corner store in New York and she texted me. She's like, Ashton and Landon are dating. Okay. Now, is she still in New York and he's in LA? You know, they, they might have a home base from places. Great.
No, he was just on, they did a yacht trip and Landon was on it with Earls. Oh, really? Yes. Oh, okay. Yeah. It's a serious series as you can be for 22, 23. He comes across my TikTok and he's kind of charming. Oh my gosh, he's blushing. He is. Like, he kind of has like this retro vibe and he's saying. He's cute and he's chootty. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's like, we keep coming up that he was doing the Frey song and he would keep just singing that over and over and over again. I saw that. Yeah. And it got me. It sucked me in. I think they're cute. It's almost like they're pretend pop punk on the cross and it's like a little bit of cosplay and so I think it's adorable because it's like who hasn't had one of those phases. Right. Well, I also thought it was so weird when they were in Nashville and Ashton was chatting with that guy and then it was like Sally daggers on the guy and then Alex, I feel like
was kind of just flirting but really wasn't going for it and then like this guy is not even cute, you know? That competition is so weird. Well, there is a lot of mailed centeredness from these women and so I think it's competing for attention and then you can just see the deflating on Ashton too because I think it's sad. She sing the song, Mary, living in the shadows. Living in the shadows. Someone else dreams. So I feel like when Alex goes up to a guy, I feel like Ashton has an insecurity there of like of course, well, why wouldn't they want to be with my sister, the famous one versus me? You could just see it on our Facebook. I literally just keep living in the shadows of my sister. When is it my turn to do this? And I also wondered too if they're like, one is it my turn to put on like a skimpy outfit and do a get ready with me and be famous from that? You know what I mean? Not they don't have accolades now but it's like she got famous for being a hot girl at Miami and then like sharing her life.
She even says at one point Alex is like, I wish I had a hobby or like a straight right because the sister was competing in horse riding. She's like, that's so cool. I don't have anything to do. You can make TikToks Alex. You know what? It's harder than you think though. Oh, I mean, I'm not down playing it again. Like when we look at how some people got famous, there's different ways to get famous. Okay. I wanted to talk about the parental dynamics and Todd. We've met Todd. Is this going to be a good Todd? Is Todd at a tank top the way to go or is he going to go the bravo route of being a Todd? I think he seems like a good guy. I feel like they've had their ups and downs in their relationship but he doesn't seem super interested in like the fame of it all. I think he's just like supporting the mom. I think he thinks it's weird as fuck that family is so close. I think he hates TJ. Probably. Yeah. And I think he's like, I've just been Valentine's Day. They also, you guys, they drink so much on this show.
They are always drinking on this show, whether they're at a restaurant taking shots, parting together, going out and celebrating their at home making our teenies. There is constant drinks flowing in this household. But we never really saw them drunk. I think because maybe the camera footage isn't there and it's more iPhone footage because we were seeing them waking up very hungover. Yeah. They were an ass and they were having a good time. She ran into her ex boyfriend and her dad went up to him and tried to party with him. Okay. Let's talk about that because I want to get your opinion because, and I would say about half of this season was about the breakup. I'm like, is Braxton getting residuals here? No. He's basically a cast member without ever appearing and having two words said on this show. I was pretty shocked to see how hard this breakup was for her. It seems like she did dancing with the stars. They broke up during that time. Then the mom was diagnosed with cancer.
And then her grandma got sick too. Totally. And she finishes dancing with the star. It's like go back to her own reality. And then she's dealing with the breakup. And I think she was the one that decided to actually break up. And the whole season is actually her being like, did I make the right choice? And her family is like, no, basically. And her mom is like, I miss Braxton. I didn't think it was that crazy for the dad to go up to Braxton there and say hi. But I feel like he partied with him for like a crazy amount of time. And of course, I would text him at 4am after that night of seeing him. But I feel like the family wasn't supportive of the breakup and fed into her doubts. 100%. It's like the reasoning that she broke up was like, I think Braxton is ready to settle down. I'm 25 and I'm not ready for that. And it's another case of right person wrong time. I have to tell you, it's actually pretty funny because we talk about right person.
Right person wrong time on next gen with Ariana and Liam. Yesterday on the way to watch what happens live Ariana posted TikTok using the sound. Like who let me text Braxton at 4am? And funny. No, it was like so funny. You want them all to link up in New York too. That would be like a fun meetup. Those girls could all be friends and have fun. But I think I broke up with him because we were living two separate lives at the end. We weren't really even being intimate. And it's like, what are we doing? We should both be having fun and doing all these things. I'm doing dance with the stars. I'm so busy. I don't have time to nurture this relationship. And then once the dust settled, it was like, oh my God, he was the person that I called. She wants a partner and it does sound like she's somebody who relationship hopped. Ashton said she always has someone waiting in the wings. And while she has Tom Brady here, she's not really allowed to talk about him here. I heard she said somewhere on some interview that like he really didn't want to be a part of this was like, don't mention me. And so there's only like little bits and pieces and inferences throughout the show.
They basically had Val's wife confirm it for us. She never said Tom. She didn't. What else did you write? You're right. Because I think the dad said when she called, they faced him to him too. He was like, and it was Braxton who called and she quickly picked up and like ended the FaceTime. And then when she called him back, he's like, oh, was that Tom? Right. No, she never said Tom, which was smart of her. I also think the ending of her calling Braxton and being like, is there any chance like potentially we could ever get back together? That was not him. Okay. Let's take a break and come back with that. Okay. So when she calls, she asks him that question and they leave us on a cliffhanger of him. I'm putting quotes around it since Mary doesn't believe. Oh, Alex. Let's pretend it is him. Okay. And though he hung up every time she said they were filming and he wanted to hurt anything. And even when she like recaps them because she goes up to him at Aspen too because of
course, she has Tequila and she's feeling loose and he's telling her, you shouldn't have broken up with me. But everything is just hearsay when it comes to Braxton except for that. How did you interpret that? Oh, Alex. I think that was completely fake. Let's pretend it's him. The way he said it, do you think that that was an opening for future or do you think that was like, Oh, Alex, we've been through this. How did you take that if it was him? I don't think I can pretend it was. I don't think it was a good Oh, Alex. I think it was like, obviously I love you. But I think her jumping to Tom Brady, I think that was probably an ego bruise because what do you mean you're dating an NFL player and then you date the greatest of all time? That's an definite ego bruise. And I also think too is like she breaks up and then there's rumors all over. So over this summer, she was linked when she was with Stasi Baby, another connection towards the Kardashians. You've got one degree with Landon, who's that's married into that. And then you have Stasi Baby, who's Kylie's best friend.
Right. But while they were in, I think it was Stardinia over this summer, she was spotted with Landon Norris, this F1 driver. People were like, is it Alex he's with? There's a Stasi Baby. You know, it's all speculation. But just last week, Landos X, girlfriend. I believe her name is, it's M-A-G-U-I. So Magui maybe is her name. Unfortunately, I'm not in the F1 world and I think I need to get into it because I feel like there's a lot of drama. But also another one because Kim Kardashian is dating. Lewis Hamilton. Yeah. Oh my God, it's literally six degrees of Kardashian. Are they the new Kevin Bacon? Yes, they are. Okay. So last week, it's spotted that Braxton and Magui are on a date together. And that feels like petty revenge in a way. Absolutely. I thought, this is your TV show. I know a big part of the season was you getting over the breakup. But for you to end it on that cliffhanger just felt pretty pathetic. That's why they're so mailed centered. So do you think that there's just chance for them to get back together or do you think
it's done so? I think it's done so. What do you think? I'm agreeing with you. There's twofold. It's sad that that's how you leave it because your show is based on a man's decision if you want to get back together with you and that feels sad. And I mean, she's 25. Like I was so crazy with boys then you just like obsess over it. And now that you can text people, people are so available like to communicate with. She is watching her TikToks. You're doing so much on social media that you know they're going to see she's getting written up in the press. There's no mystery. Absolutely not, especially with someone like her. But I don't know what would have been like a great finale for this show because I do think it was like true to herself like navigating this life as a 25 year old and going through this like intense breakup. And like she was so vulnerable crying all the time. So I like appreciated that in a sense, but I just was like, oh my god, this is the cliffhanger
ending. Come on. It's like sad. You're a hater in general of this show though. It's true. It's sad that you end on that. But also we talked about him the entire time. So if we leave it on this cliffhanger, open up next season with I think it's best that we remain friends. Then that's like the end of it. Let's move on. Let's be done and let's see a different side of Alex. And we're not talking about Braxton anymore. Yeah. I think that would be good. I mean, I think this will definitely get a second season, don't you? Okay. So a lot of people are starting to compare this to House of Stasi because House of Stasi really focused on breaking the fourth wall and giving you a different type of reality show. And there's there like meta aspects of what was happening behind the scenes and how you really need to give it your all and she's talking about the way she was coaching people before and all this stuff, right? And then you have this reality show, which is kind of breaking the fourth wall without talking about breaking the fourth wall. And I would more interested in this one than I was in House of Stasi after watching
both of them. Oh, see, I'm opposite. I like Towson's Stasi more. Yeah. So I think both of them get a second season, obviously. But I think that there are more interesting dynamics and characters in this as a family show versus House of Stasi were and not that I care about the characters as much on this show either, but I'm interested in the familial dynamics here more so than I am and her friends on House of Stasi, the parents and their relationship, the sisters, the friends, the younger ones, this blended family, how him being the daddager and how that affects their relationships to like, as you're saying that I completely agree with you. I don't know. I need to use the format of the show. There was something off for me. And I don't know what it was, but I found Stasi's to be like so refreshing because she was talking to the camera and that was something new to see. Yeah. I think I just liked in the Kardashian aspect that this was like a family end. You have a well known escort married to the man that she is a mistress of who has forgiven
them in order to be good with the daughters to have the relationship with that side of the family, even though you can tell there's clear hurt and the girls somewhat being in the middle of that still because like a list is human and when they go on these trips, her and Todd are still on the outside because the bigger family and it's just really wild to watch us, but then the center of the world is Alex. Right. Right. We have Alex, Ashton, Ashley and Alyssa, all A's. And then we have Alex Cooper. She does not look good here. She's currently pregnant. Obviously, this is horrible press. But she started it and she was pregnant when she started it. That's the annoying part, especially when Harry Jowsey got involved. I'm going to find the drafted text. Oh, I have it. Oh, okay. Great. I wanted to write you directly and let you know I don't like you. I'm not going to fall for your bait of getting into a back and forth online and I don't think you want that either. You are manipulative and toxic. Go ahead and say it's just business all you want, but the way you approach business is
disgusting. You chose money over morals. That was a good one. You took advantage of me at a young age in a new industry. I knew nothing about. You are full of false promises and unwell is a continuation of that. We had a call where you threatened me to not go to war with you because you know how sick and twisted you are. Go ahead and share this. Use it against me, but you will no longer scare or trap me. That sounds powerful. You're right. I may be petty, but I'm not malicious. If there's one thing I learned from doing business with you, it's to never do business with anyone like you. Mike, draw. Now, what do you think about the business side of Alex versus Alex? I think Alex with an eye was not set up to be successful at unwell. Her launching this podcast, basically having no support. She's a huge name to not have a producer for her is actually insane.
It wasn't edited at all, which I also feel like was premeditated in a way, probably to get her to maybe say something that she would regret and be able to put that out there anyways. You know what I mean? Kieran, her say, take shots and ask all these sexual questions and then they go to those questions was so inappropriate and really weird. Then for her to say, can you please take that out and she wouldn't. It's absolutely crazy. I don't know how Alex Cooper recovers from this. I'll be very curious if she responds. For going to try to find people, I actually think it's really funny that that's how Alex with an eye and Braxton started talking again. Alex Earl was afraid that Alex Cooper was going to contact Braxton and that's why she reached out to Braxton. They had that like four hour combo. Got it. Yeah. And then when they blocked that name out, it was Sandra who she famously had this falling out with because like they bleep the name, but they didn't censor the mouth so you
could read what that was. If you look at the unwell network, I would ask find a successful podcast on that network that's not Caller Daddy and maybe Harry Jowze's. Maybe Owen Thiel, he gets some good guests on his, but realistically it feels like she brings podcasts in and then they somewhat tank because she doesn't give them the resources or the assets for it. Even her serious network, she had a couple of shows on that and they're all gone now. I remember Hannah Kosh had posted something about not being at the daily dirty anymore and people were like spill the tea and she said come under an NBA. Obviously Alex Earl was like the hottest thing. I think when she signed with Unwell, she had five million followers at the time. So she was like a huge name to give her this podcast. As people who podcast, when you're doing it on your own, there is a lot that you have to do behind the scenes. And I think if you don't know what that is and someone's selling you a dream and this person is your idol, you're like, oh my God, I can't believe like this woman. I've followed for so long. She wants me to work with her.
There is a power imbalance there. When you talk about the shots that she was giving her and then asking her those questions that her family literally didn't talk for three months because she told Ashley's story on that and talked about how it affected her family. It's like that is a power imbalance. Alex Cooper knows what she's doing. And then for Alex Cooper to post that TikTok, I can remember because we were at Coachella too that night before Alex, Earl and her friends were all right in front of us when we were seeing Subtronics that night. And we remember waking up that morning and seeing Alex Cooper's TikTok where she calls Alex out and being like, this poor girl is at Coachella. Like we just saw her last night. Like she was at the time of her life. Alex Cooper was pregnant at that time. She knew what she was doing. She knew to do it then after Alex, Earl had been partying for three days. Right. All of this stuff has come out on about her husband Matt Kaplan and there was this vanity fair article about it and how unwell is not a great place to work at, which Alex Earl is post signing that, right?
Talking about it. And I think she's not going to respond to that. I think Harry Jowze's response was on behalf of Alex Cooper, which hello, you're on her payroll. And we just saw your terrible show. Right. What was his response to it? He was just like, well, this doesn't seem fair for her to be saying this. Like Alex Cooper is so pregnant right now. And it's like, she started this though. And Alex Earl waited a really long time to respond. It was smart for her to save her for the TV show. I totally agree because when she said, oh, I'm on it, she posted that pole dancing video. And I remember being like, come on Alex, you're going to lose this. She bore definitely waiting for this moment and they were waiting for the show to kind of be like, she has to comment about the Alex Cooper situation for the show. It was smart to save it for the show. I agree. And also on the carpet for the show, they brought somebody asked her a question about Alex Cooper. And at the end, she said, well, her show got canceled and mine didn't. And I'm like, oh, God, please, she must be Greenland for season two because you don't
say that if you're going to get canceled right away. Yeah. Yeah. At the end of the day, I think she took advantage of a girl who really was like looking up to her and then gave her the bare minimum. And I think TJ, as her manager, he should have been looking out for certain things. But I think this is his first go around. Right. And I can't even imagine how much money was behind this that they didn't have a producer and editor, someone to listen through every single podcast and make sure it's okay to publish. She hired people at the end of it to do it. But that's coming out of her own pocket. Right. There's so much that goes behind the scenes of all of these things. And I think she just was like, you didn't set me up for success. I think everything is very, very calculated. And I don't think Alex Earl is that calculated. I agree. I really like that they talked about in this show was that they took that test for the Brockadjian. I was so shocked that both the sisters ended up positive for the gene.
I was just like, this is so intense. They have this information, knowledge is power. But that is a lot to take on as young 20 year olds like knowing this could definitely happen to them. Okay. But the funny part though, when they call their dad to let him know and he goes, the fuck. And then the mom at the end of the phone call, love you. I didn't mean to say, okay. It was like, wait a little leavey. A tough conversation to have. They made me get it because you know that there really is a lot of love. And from a list of side two and the girls had a lot of forgiveness. They still do hold TJ as the patriarch of that family, the top dog. He has all the answers. They have to go through him. And at the end of the day, he is lucky that his family cares so much to keep this family that they have maybe not forgiven, but they've done as much as they can to continue on.
I would have loved to see TJ kind of lose it, you know, at one point. He always kept his composure, but I just like imagine he has some old school rage in him. And I would have loved to see him kind of flipping out at some moment when they were releasing the real actives and the website wasn't working. I wanted to see him be like, God damn it. And be like, who was, but I don't know. I just wanted a moment. I feel like he needs to lean into that for a season two. You heard a little bit of that when he was reprimanding Alex for being mad at Ashley. And I'm like, something must have happened off camera with that conversation because her talking to Ashley, I'm like, I don't see what was wrong there of like, I know you're trying to be helpful, but you saying you have a half-global and niece doesn't help the case of why I was on the bad bunny stage, okay? That's why I think that they were also gaslighting Alex a little bit too. It was like, okay, the real actives is about to launch. And Ashton the day before posts the video with it in there before it known to the public
that it's coming. And then they kind of get mad at Alex. Like, what's the big deal as if she hasn't been working and holding the secret for two years? Yeah, that's a pretty big mistake, guys. Yeah, that feels like a lot. But also was that all just like sprinkled in like you said, fake. And then Alexia Yomanski shows up after that awkward fight. I was like, what? And then they're like, do you like being on reality TV? And then we're supposed to pretend like when she's like, oh yeah, my parents, because you can't say her mom's a real housewife. And then also it's like her show buying Beverly Hills was on Netflix. So Netflix is trying to keep their cinematic universe within. Right, right. I liked it. I thought it was a fun show. I think it shows the struggle of being like, I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but I know I'm doing something right. And dealing with a relationship where it's like, it's nothing happened. It's just timing. I predict that both Stasi and Earl meets world will have a season two.
And I will like Earl meets world better than Stasi's show for season two. I will say I enjoyed chatting with you about this. Of course. I was just going to ask you that. Of course. Did your opinion change at all after talking about it? Do you think that COVID could have affected your opinion? Cloud in your judgment. My brain's not fully in the right place right now. Okay. Here's my final question for you. What would you like to see different in season two? You mentioned a couple of things throughout the pod, but what would you like to see different? Or anyone featured more or featured less? Yeah. I'll tell you a couple of things I'd like to see. I'd like to see more of her not party party, but I'd like to see more of her social life drunk Alex. On her TikTok, she shares her party very often. And I think that's part of her alert is like Alex is this party girl. So I think seeing that side of her, she obviously goes on these like fabulous trips.
I'd like to see more action. I thought that this did a really good job of making Ash in way more likeable. Maybe her relationship with land in next season. Oh, I definitely want to see that. I would like less Ashley to be honest, but I would like to see more Alyssa and more Todd. And if he's going to take more purses away, like they're moving in together, I would like to see TJ lose it. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I think when the show picked up, I do believe she was exhausted. She went from one thing to the next thing to the next thing to the next thing. And I think if she has a little bit of quote unquote, rest and can feel fully herself in a way healed from a breakup, I think that would show a different side of her too. A lighter Alex for season two. But like I'll be there day one because I have to be because if I'm not, everybody will talk about it on the internet. And I won't understand what Oh Alex means. You got to be part of the conversation. You truly do. It's like, Oh, you want a social life? You can't.
No reality show out. I just want to do maybe Justin blocks. Think about it. Three the first week to the second week to the third week. We will be okay with that. We can do batches and over time. No, you have to watch it really, really fast. I was thankful I had COVID because I could watch it so quickly. Yes. When you were laid up and bed, it couldn't move. All you could do is press yes, next episode. Honestly, in the last time I had COVID, it was secret lives of more than wives. That's my thought. So quick. And yes, I have had COVID in February and September. I don't even go out. That's a thing. But I heard secret lives of more than wives. A 12 five episodes. So anyways, we have to get off of this so that we can go watch that because we have to be a part of that conversation too. We'll see you tomorrow for OC. But let's just say our weekends are busy. Bye everybody.
