a hearing at the Lake County Circuit Court regarding a potential change of venue and other
Austin Drummond is alleged to have murdered Courtney Rose, Adriana Williams, Braden Williams
Several legal motions are currently pending, including the possibility of moving the trial
to a different location, initiating a mental health evaluation and imposing restrictions
on Drummond's access to discovery materials, challenges in accessing discovery, Brian
Huffman, the defense attorney representing Drummond indicated that the case is gaining
There's a lot of work ahead, progress has been slow due to the extensive discovery process.
It takes time, he said, now that we have substantial amount of evidence.
We expect things to accelerate significantly.
Huffman noted the difficulties he faces in sharing discovery materials with Drummond, who
is being held at Riverband Maximum Security Institution in isolation from other inmates.
It's quite challenging because much of the discovery consists of video files and numerous
documents, which we cannot provide to him directly.
We can only show him the videos through the glass partition, making in-person meetings
complicated Huffman explained.
The issue of Drummond's access to discovery copies will be addressed on May 1, Judge
Mark Hayes expressed concerns about the potential for these documents to leak to the social
The change of venue discussion will also take place on that date, with Huffman indicating
a preference for relocating the trial to a larger jurisdiction, such as Shelby County.
Additionally, Huffman has submitted a motion for a jury questionnaire, even in light of
the potential venue change.
He remarked on Drummond's state of mind, saying he feels discouraged due to the conditions

And now to Illinois, a 30-year-old woman has been charged
and charged with the alleged shooting deaths of her on-again, off-again boyfriend and
his parents at their home following a tumultuous relationship.
According to the Will County Sheriff's Office, Gina Strubble faces nine counts of first
degree murder in the deaths of 32-year-old Jacob Lambert and his parents, 54-year-old Stacey
Ford and 55-year-old Patrick Ford.
Will and Lambert had a complicated romantic history and shared children together, as reported
by law enforcement, deputies responded to the residents in Crete Township for a welfare
check around 2 a.m. on Monday.
Upon arrival, they discovered Lambert in his car in the driveway while his parents were
found dead inside the house close to the front entrance.
Authorities indicated that Strubble fled the scene and returned to her home in St. John
Indiana, where she was later arrested by local police.
A firearm believed to be linked to the shooting was also discovered.
Strubble is currently in custody in an Indiana jail awaiting extradition to Illinois to face
the charges against her.
Stacey Ford, who served as the director of finance, for Rhoda, a Linwood Illinois-based
company specializing in business signage, was remembered fondly in tributes on her Facebook.
The company expressed profound sorrow over the loss of Stacey, her husband Patrick and
