Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. Second Corinthians 5, 17 Dear Lord, you make all things new. I am grateful that there are countless second chances at the cross. The former lies I believed and life I led has been crucified with Christ. And now I live a new life of purpose in you. Help me when I stray back into my former habits before I met you. Continually refine me and remind me of who I am in you. I want to live in my identity as a new creature in Christ, in Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you for joining me in prayer. Stay tuned for today's free podcast, Meditative Prayers with Zach Clinton, where you can draw close to God and find strength in him. This is an I Heart Podcast. Guaranteed Human Welcome to your Meditative Prayer on Transforming Yourself to get the most out of your spiritual journey use pray.com every day and make prayer a priority in your life. Again our goal for today's Meditative Prayer is Transforming Yourself. So take a moment and head to your secret place. A place where you can relax and let go of all agitation. A place where you can ignore all intrusion. Right now, breathe in deep through your nose and exhale out through your mouth.

And reach out to God and prepare to let His words fill your heart. Again today we'll be meditating on 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 from the King James version. He reads, therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things passed away behold all things are becoming new. Take a moment right now, just to pour out your adoration to God for his love. I praise you Lord, for you are God. You made me and I am yours. I will enter your gates with thanksgiving and I will enter your courts with praise. I will give thanks and bless your name for you Lord are always good. Your steadfast love endures forever and your faithfulness to all generations.

Salvation kick starts your transformation. It is the variable that brings the promise and prospect of change. Salvation does away with sin and provides the possibility of eternal life from death. You no longer have to continue living in sin. Harmful and destructive habits they can actually change. Negative thoughts and emotions will lose their hold over you. In addictions no longer have to dictate how you live. In accepting Jesus he breaks the power of sin and its control over your life. But perhaps you are struggling with who you don't want to be. So take a moment right now to open your heart up to God and confess to him the areas in which you are suffering.

Now spend some time thanking God for the goodness of his salvation. God I thank you that by grace I am saved through faith. I thank you that your love is not based on my merit but on your mercies. I thank you Jesus for being the way, the truth and the light for reconciling me back to God the Father. I thank you God for loving me while I was at my worst. You saw all my sin, my darkness and my cruelty but you loved me anyway. Jesus I thank you for my transformation, bought with your blood. God is present and he is listening to you. Be mindful that Christ makes you a new creation. The old sinful self no longer has power over you.

You now get to live a new life with a new mentality and new habits. God sent the Holy Spirit to help you accomplish this change. The Holy Spirit enables you to succeed in your walk with Christ. He is your helper so ask him to help. Ask him to make you more like Jesus. Ask him to empower you to live the fullness of what God has for you. Remember if anyone belongs to Christ then he is made new. The old things have gone, everything is made new. God has given you a new life to live, a life filled with godly thoughts and actions with new habits and a new goal. So do not hold back, be bold and be brave. And live your new life with courage and joy for the future that is to come.
