Obviously, the cost of gasoline is going to go up because the cost of oil is going up,
because the rate of hormones is being closed by Iran during this war.
I assume at some point it's going to be open when negotiations and the war.
How does the president do?
Well, the president has ordered under the Defense Production Act
that a California coastline that the oil wells production fills the facilities be open.
We need more oil and there's one company in particular,
and I don't want to get into the particulars here, into the minutia,
but it's an oil company that has leases on Chevron oil production facilities that are not being used
because the California regulations.
California has passed environmental regulations that say you are not going to pump oil from the coast,
from the California coast. That's California.
Well, the president has invoked the Defense Production Act.
This was Friday ordering the restart of, in this case,
the Santa Inez offshore oil platform and pipeline that was shut down 11 years ago
because thousands of barrels of crude oil poured into the Pacific Ocean off the coast by some kind of a rupture of the pipeline.
And the move comes in response to the skyrocketing oil fuel prices
and what the president is doing is saying we have to, we need the oil.
It's a national issue. The price of oil is going up and it's hurting the economy.
Therefore, under the Defense Production Act,
I am now ordering the pipeline in these businesses be open.
Of course, California filed an immediate lawsuit.
How can the president do this under what powers does he have?
Well, this Defense Production Act was passed in 1950
when President Truman nationalized the steel industry.
Said all steel production now goes to, or more of the steel production is now going into defending the United States and the Korean War.
And the steel industry basically said no.
So what he did was he nationalized it under the Defense Production Act,
saying that the president under certain circumstances,
in defending the United States and declaring an emergency,
does have the power to override any state law.
Well, you can argue all you want.
That in this case, New Sims says, well, you started the war.
You are doing this to bypass California law, which he is.
Therefore, the whole thing is a sham.
And all you really are interested is helping your oil buddies.
Well, here's the problem with that argument.
The president, even if he started the war,
can say that the production of oil is critical to the national security
because the cost of oil is so high that it is going to get in the way
of the economy of the United States.
Does he have the right to do that?
Probably, probably because there is a rationale for passing
or using this law.
And for those people who think, oh, my God,
it's never been used before.
It's been used 50 times by presidents.
So I guarantee you this will go to court.
Of course it is.
California immediately filed lawsuit as well as environmental groups.
It will go to court.
And here is what the court is going to say.
And this is traditional.
This is not going to be just to Donald Trump
and just to this administration.
That administrative decisions can be marginally rational
that the administrative agencies involved,
in this case is the executive branch
through an administrative agency.
There is a rational reason for this to be passed.
And even if the court disagrees with the reason we,
the court, give wide deference to administrative decisions.
The decision before we're going to get involved
and overturn it has to be arbitrary, capricious,
have absolutely, absolutely no connection to reality.
Much like what the court said,
when dismissed the case against James Comey and Latisha James,
saying there was absolutely no evidence here.
None.
And the charging of them going into the grand jury
was strictly, strictly political.
It has to be that crazy, which of course it was.
There is a rationale here.
Whether you agree with it or not,
and I think the court is going to uphold it.
And I think that the oil production,
the opening up of that oil well
and the pipeline is going to effectively happen.
And then you have the constitution.
This pesky constitution we had,
that federal law supersedes any state law involved.
Okay.
Moving on in yet another episode of what is happening in the Middle East.
The president, our president, has called on various nations,
allied nations, to send worships to the straight of horror moose.
Because Iran has effectively shut down the straight.
And as by now everybody knows,
20% of the world's oil goes through the straight.
So if the straights are closed,
just 20% is done.
And the markets are reacting to it,
although oil is down this morning right now,
down to $93 a barrel,
which is still very high relative to what it was two weeks ago.
And so the straights are,
straight of horror moose is critical.
And so he has asked several of our allied countries
that rely on oil.
The US doesn't rely on oil coming from the straight of her moose.
Now the rest of Europe certainly does.
So he's asked a Britain spoke with Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
We need some help here.
You need to do this for your benefit as well as the world's benefit.
They had a conversation.
No details disclosed.
Ed Miliband, the Energy Minister of the UK,
said Britain was looking at any options to help start shipping.
But what we really want to do is de-escalate.
No details.
All right, Japan.
He had told his parliament that Japan has no plans
to send worships to the Persian Gulf.
It's a she, I'm sorry.
She said the government is currently considering how and what we do.
No details at all.
China.
The biggest buyer of Iran,
of Iran or a Iranian oil has not responded.
But I called for cessation of hostilities.
France.
Same thing.
We don't know.
We're not saying everybody is moving very cautiously,
except the United States.
And as I disagree so much with what the president is doing,
as you know, this reminds me of what happened in 1938
at the start of World War II,
when the Western world could have stopped Hitler.
And they watched him arm, arm, arm Germany.
And when Hitler moved in that direction, look what happened.
Iran is moving towards an atomic weapon.
Iran is saying that its enrichment program
of uranium is only for peaceful purposes.
That is a crock.
The manufacture of all those ballistic missiles
for defense purposes.
No.
They're all offensive missiles.
That's Iran.
And the point is do we wait?
And I often said we don't wait.
And the president is giving among his supporters.
He has been given the credit for finally doing something.
Pete Hegseth said outright,
this president has the balls to move forward
unlike the previous seven presidents that did nothing.
So you know where I sit on this one.
However, what you have are all these other nations
that will not commit at all to opening the straits.
And the straight of hormones is critical
to the movement of that oil.
So here is what might happen.
This is the worst case scenario.
And I don't know if the president is willing to go that far.
And that is Carg Island.
Carg Island is about 16 miles off the coast of Iran.
Carg Island is the depot
where 90% of Iran's oil is shipped out
and sold to the world.
If Carg Island is destroyed,
there have been attacks on Carg Island.
But not the oil facilities themselves,
military bases or military facilities
regarding those oil depots.
If that is attacked and taken out,
which I think the president is going to certainly threaten,
guaranteed.
If that is taken out,
then what you have is Iran having nothing more to lose, nothing.
And when you have anybody,
any country that has nothing more to lose,
they go balls to the wall.
Why not?
And look what happened to us.
If you're taking us down,
we're going to take you down as hard as we can.
And I think that's what's going to happen.
And I think the president is going to have to make some real choices.
How does he destroy Iran?
The quickest possible way is not to bomb facilities all over the country.
Simply take out Carg Island.
There are no air defenses left.
The president Trump,
the Americans who are the only ones that are attacking.
And Israel, of course,
have the ability because they now control the air
to take out that island tomorrow afternoon.
And it's going to be very, very tricky.
And do the rest of the allies get involved?
You know, do they sit?
Do they wait?
We'll see.
And do they wait until Iran decides it's going to go and shut it down
and there will be no oil?
And they have the ability to do that.
Because if Carg Island has taken out, remember,
Iran still has missiles,
still has the ability to mine the state of Hormuz,
still has the ability to throw mines against ships,
because they're fishing boats all over the island
and those seas.
And it's relatively easy for them to do that.
It's, man, is it a standoff to this extent?
And the straight of Hormuz is at risk.
So which way do you think the president is going to go?
And if I had to guess,
Hill, I think he's going to attack.
It's my guess.
I think he's going to attack as part of bringing Iran to its knees.
If Carg Island is attacked,
oil facilities are taken offline as in destroyed.
Iran's entire economy just collapses almost instantly,
because Iran's sole revenue is oil.
Okay.
No fun.
Now, some more news.
I know this administration news,
because they've identified this weekend between the war
and what is happening here domestically.
This one has to do with FCC, Chairman Brendan Carr.
So the president yesterday endorsed FCC,
Commission Chairman Brendan Carr's threat
to revoke broadcast licenses over the news coverage
of the U.S. Israeli war,
calling media organizations corrupt and highly unpatriotic.
They get billions of dollars of free American airwaves
and use it to perpetuate lies in caps,
both in news and almost all of their shows,
including the late-night morons
who get gigantic salaries for horrible ratings.
And I used to say in the imprint,
as I used to say in the apprentice,
fired car on Saturday posted that he would deny
revoke government issue licenses
if broadcasters run what the FCC deems fake news.
And it will be the administration that determines
what fake is or is not.
He wrote broadcasters that are running hoaxes
and news distortions also known as the fake news.
Have a choice now to correct course
before their license renewals come up.
Law is clear.
Broadcasters must operate in the public interest
and they will lose their license if they do not.
I think every two years of broadcast licenses
have to be renewed.
I think licenses that have been revoked
are maybe a handful since the 20s
when the government issued licenses.
And I can't.
I don't know when the last license was revoked.
And would you look that one up?
I'm just curious as to when the last license was revoked.
And so if you change course,
if you go to our side,
we'll allow you to keep your license.
And he went on to say trust and legacy medium
has now fallen to an all time low with just 9%
in our ratings disasters.
Well, you can argue ratings disasters
as anyway you want.
But the figure of 9%,
that's just not correct.
Yeah, in one stat, it is 9%.
But it was one group of people
that think it down to 9%.
But a group 31% said it had some trust.
So, you know, you can do anything,
of course, with statistics.
If Trump doesn't like your coverage of the war,
this is Gavin Newsom, of course,
his FCC will pull your broadcast license
and that is flagrantly unconstitutional.
And that might be this is tougher one
than what I said earlier,
invoking the War Powers Production Act
where President Trump has the ability
to open up leases on the west coast of California.
This one flies right in light of the First Amendment.
Does a broadcaster have the right
to broadcast what the President,
what the administration calls lies?
For example, Fox News at outright said
the election was rigged and stolen.
That is not fake news.
That is true news.
Any fake news that is in anyway,
in any way talks about broadcasts,
negative story about the administration.
That is fake news and that broadcaster should
and will have licenses removed.
Now, the license, the FCC does license broadcaster
and has to be in the public good.
And the public good has been widely interpreted.
Well, now we're looking at a much more narrow interpretation
according to the government which oversees FCC license
and it's real simple.
You broadcast fake news that puts the administration
in a poor light, you're going to lose your license.
But we're going to give you a chance to change course.
This is a quote from Brendan Carr.
We're going to give you a chance to change course.
If you stop broadcasting fake news,
we're going to allow you to keep your license.
Pete Hegseth on Friday talked about fake news from CNN
over a report indicating that the administration underestimated
the war's impact on the state of horror moves.
That's fake news.
We did not underestimate what was going to happen
with the state of horror moves.
If I remember, it was we've won the war.
We've wiped out their ability to do anything.
Didn't hear the Straits were shut down
until well, the Straits were shut down.
To argue that you are saying that you, the broadcaster,
are saying we the administration underestimated the impact.
That's fake because it puts the administration in a poor light.
That's fake.
And then Trump went on to say that this news that's being broadcast
by the licensed broadcasters,
that is people that broadcast ABC, CNN,
they use the airwaves, not cable,
and certainly not internet-based broadcasting,
that when they broadcast this fake news,
they are traders and want America to lose the war.
Crazy, isn't it?
So, of course, there's been a lawsuit filed,
and I think the court is going to say,
you know, this is going too far,
because broadcasters have the right to broadcast.
Much like Fox has the right to say that the election was rigged.
No one can take away their right to say that.
How many people does the administration have the right to take away
CNN's ability to say the administration did not plan
on the straight-of-horn moves being closed?
Okay.
Now, I want to tell you about an industry a job you can have
that you did not think of in why it's there.
First of all, AI, robotics are here,
and humanoid robots are just right around the corner.
Where they're going to do all kinds of fun stuff.
Get a folder laundry, you're going to get drinks,
going to just do household chores.
Well, where do they learn?
I mean, if you're having an AI-powered robot
that does household chores,
it's got to learn how to do it.
I mean, that's a lot of information.
So, there's a new industry.
People are being asked to strap cameras on their foreheads,
on their bodies, on their arms,
and do things like fold laundry, clean toilets.
Prepare dinner over and over again
by the millions of people.
And with that information,
AI companies are now putting together the ability
for robots to do that sort of thing.
And we're talking about,
I mean, there's a bunch of companies doing this.
It looks like we're being told
that it's going to be a $17 billion industry
by 2030, the global data collection and labeling market.
And it makes sense when you think about it,
that how does AI, how do robots,
and of course, they're AI-powered,
how do they go around and approximate what humans do?
I mean, you think about it,
it is enormously, and ordinantly complex.
I mean, by the billions of bits of information.
I mean, how do you know to move your hand,
a fraction over to the left,
or something is heavier,
and you have to press harder to lift that item up.
I just want an example.
I mean, it goes on and on.
I could go on forever on that one.
To give you an idea of how important this is,
China, which in many ways is way ahead
of the United States and the rest of the world
and a lot of technology,
has 40 state-operated companies doing just this.
There are hundreds of people helping AI around the world
and being taught how we as humans operate.
It's interesting stuff.
And you don't get a lot of money.
For example, there's one guy,
Salvador Arcega, he's LA.
He gets $80 for two hours of footage.
So you only do it for a limited amount of time,
but it actually makes a lot of sense.
And since they are now gathering this information,
then we have to assume that robotics
that AI has evolved to the point
where we're right around the corner on that one.
Okay, coming up,
airport disruptions.
You combine the weather
with the fact that TSA agents are,
well, stretch thin even the fat ones.
Remember it used to be where the security people
were these very heavy-set women with black capri pants?
Everyone of them.
Those are the days, don't you remember?
No.
Yeah, I do.
I do.
Okay, now we have some thin ones.
You know, which I thought was kind of a shocker.
Anybody go back in the day, all right?
And Neil doesn't know what he's talking about.
Go back in the day and remember TSA agents
when it first started.
And tell me they weren't heavy-set women,
big ones who were at the...
Nevermind.
Nevermind.
Okay, let's just get out of here.
I'm going to talk about that when we return.
Fat women.
