TURNAROUND: Orlando Magic trending up? Still unease as Magic prepare for critical games

The Orlando Magic edged past the Portland Trail Blazers to improve to 4-2 in their last six games. The team appears to have turned at least a minor corner to pick up wins and gain ground in the early part of the season.

But it still does not feel like the team is where everyone thinks it should be. There are still a lot of mistakes and flaws for the team to clean up. It was evident in that win on Monday as the Magic had to scramble to preserve the win with a buzzer-beater.

A lot of the problems are familiar. They continue to struggle with turnovers and offensive stagnation. Their 3-point shooting is spotty at best and leaving a lot to be desired.

The only good news is that Jalen Suggs has emerged as a vital player, making their lineups elite and helping them get a jumpstart in almost any game.
