Al Jazeera podcasts. U.S. envoy Steve Woodconf and Jared Kushner have arrived in Kiev in a renewed diplomatic push to end the war in Ukraine. It's the first time the pair have met President Zelensky in the Ukrainian Capitol on Saturday. The U.S. envoy's held talk as in Moscow with President Vladimir Putin. Ukraine and Russia confirmed a 72-hour pause in attacks on each other's capitals during the envoy's visit. But attacks elsewhere have continued. The governor of Ukraine's Kharkiv region says Russian strikes overnight killed four people. A man who was found alive in a tunnel under one of Nepal's hydropower stations says he wants to thank rescue teams when he's discharged from the hospital. The Chinese national was rescued on Saturday from inside a 225-meter-long tunnel at the upper Treshuli one site. China's ambassador to Nepal says he's in stable condition. Nepalese authorities say nearly 4,000 people are in temporary shelters 11 days after
the flash floods. The torrent of rock, mud and ice destroyed at least 7,500 homes. Dozens of camps have been set up for displaced families in affected areas. The man hoping to become the first far-right leader of a German state since World War II has cast his vote in Saxony Unhalt. Opinion polls suggest Ulrich Seagmund has a commanding lead in the East German state, a report for his alternative for Germany or AFD, has increased steadily in recent months. The AFD is known for its anti-immigrant stance. Saxony Unhalt is currently governed by a coalition of three parties, including Chancellor Friedrich Mercer's CDU.
