1:09Good afternoon. It's Monday, 14th September, 2026. You're watching UK Column News. It's just after one o'clock on your host Ben Rubin. They're likely to be joining the studio today by Mr. Brian Garrish and we've got a big week this weekend. We've got a fantastically big week because Friday is the start of our 20th celebration, which is over the weekend Saturday and into Sunday. I'm just going to reassure people we did book a good weather. We thought that was something important to do. So don't be at all worried by the view of at the window behind us where we got quite a lot of fog in the sound. I'm told the weather at the weekend is going to be good. If we have any problems, we'll be speaking to Devon County Council's director of climate change. Yes, such a position exists. We'll be talking to Meg Booth and I'm sure Meg will be sorting the climate out for us locally in Plymouth because presumably it's

2:09easier to sort the climate out in a small local area than it is to do it for the whole world. Yeah, I mean, they'll probably just have to increase our council tax or something like that and that was sorted out. Well, possibly we'll take a hit on that and we'll also add that of course the fog behind us will be making the day a little bit unpleasant for some of our guests who are arriving to the UK column 20th anniversary event by boat. The boat in question, a lovely boat called Boothsefeless, which if I remember correctly is the name of Alexander the Great's horse, but they will be in a little bit of a delicate situation because there'll be somewhere in the middle of the channel with a lot of traffic operating in that foggy environment. So we wish them a safe passage, but exciting week. Yeah, fantastic. Very exciting week, but of course, it's not the only thing going on in the country at the moment. We've got a busy show today, lots to get through.

3:09We're going to be looking at the extraordinary culture personality that's being built up around our dear leader, Mr Andy Burnham will be exploring the huge blow to Burnham's signature local government reorganization scheme, which came in last week as we were just ending extra, which we're going to talk about including clips of an interview with Madeline Hunt from the Heritage Party and Rachel from Council Watch, which we're going to explore further in extra as well. That has triggered an enormous power grab at the central government. There's a letter that came out from Chancellor Haley in the wake of that decision, which we're going to have a little look at see what their response has been. We're going to be exploring the social experimentation that is being carried out around the huge influx of Ukrainian refugees who've come into the country over the past few years. We're looking at a very eventful couple of weeks for Boris Johnson, the mind games and propaganda playing out in the UK coordinated

4:09by the state against its own population and also some good news at the end of the show about the assisted dying bill or the state murder bill, as I prefer to call it. But before we get into all of that, we're going to be continuing on a theme that the UK column has been looking at for many, many years now, which is essentially the chaos and breakdown is happening around the country. Last Monday, we spoke about the process, which took place on the South Coast, the first one in Dover on Saturday and then Port Smith on Sunday. These Patriot protests coordinated by the chap on the left there that is Danny Tomo through his Patriot platform, which actually looks to me like a data gathering operation for people who you really don't want to be giving your data to. Danny Tomo, effectively being presented now, I think is the new Tommy Robinson. Two point two point. Oh, exactly. They've almost got the same name actually. It's quite an amazing thing. And the Patriot platform have continued their fight

5:12back against the establishment this week. You can see here huge amounts of propaganda coming out from their ex account. They're really up in the anti essentially position themselves as the counter-establishment voice, even though they are essentially backed by the people behind the establishment. You know, this is not what it's been presented at. I think it's fair to say. Although a lot of the messaging on there, I actually kind of agree with in some ways, we can get that back up. We can see these times to fight back, but it's not to do that with violence, with courage, integrity and discipline. So they're appealing to people's good nature, but unfortunately the energy I don't think has been directed in the right direction. But people have been responding. They've been out on the streets again this weekend, another video here from Port Smith protesting against small boats. Yeah, so similar to the protest that we had last week, you can the chance in the video, you can't hear them because I've got the volume playing in the background, but essentially it stopped the boat, stopped the boats. And this seems

6:13to be the main focus of this paid supposed Patriot movement is stopping small boats and illegal immigration coming into the UK, but as we talk about all the time, that is a tiny part of the issue. A much broader set of issues, very complex and interconnected problems that we're facing as a society, but their attention, this patriotic attention is being directed specifically towards this one issue. And one really is after asked questions to why that might be, you know, is it perhaps that the people behind this don't actually want to fix the bigger problems that we have across the society? The Patriot platform and these protests have been getting quite a lot of coverage, right? And a lot of it, very mainstream, including from Ann Middleton, the former SBS operative. And now, I guess kind of presenting himself as a potential politician, he talks about himself as the future mayor of London, which I think is quite interesting. Maybe you know, something that we don't, but he's encouraging people to stand up and be counted to go and answer this protest on the weekend, which is now South Coast

7:15Patriots. So we had the Patriot platform. We now got the South Coast Patriots, which is made up of Bournemouth, Portsmouth and South Anthem Patriots. So these kind of splinter groups are appearing. And of course, as you would just expect, because it's the way that they do these things, a counter protest also kicked off over the weekend in Portsmouth, coordinated by stand up to racism and various unions. And this is all extremely predictable, because this is the same kind of divide and rule operation that's been running in the background, across the country for at least the past two years, essentially. Right? And we can just bring that up on screen. We can see here the way that I've been framing this is you've got the right wing, which is the white, masculine, native, rural conservative Christians, kind of pro-Israel and on the left, you've got the black feminine immigrant urban progressive Islamic palace, palace pro-Palestine movement, which is evidence by the two marches that we just had a look at there, which are the same groups

8:18that have been out marching across the streets of British cities for at least, as I said, the past 18 months, two years, laid out by the political operators. So people are actually in the political system, but also I think at the minute more importantly by these street level operators, these influencer types on the right wing, I think best evidence, Danny Tom, we've been talking about in the left wing, why people like Miss Dan Hariman, who has been pushing the stand up to racism material over the weekend. You have narrative, counter narrative, thesis, anti-thesis, and actually they're very much backed by the same kind of people, and actually we can get that back on screen. I'm going to say that they're both backed by Zionists, right? If you look at Tomo and if you look at Hariman, if you see what they're into where the money's coming from, then they're essentially backed by the same people, and those people are profiting from the chaos that's being caused on the streets of British cities in order to bring through

9:19and a totalitarian agenda. Now, Danny Tomo Sarge is continuing and he's going to continue to continue, so just yesterday he was boxed in by police on the way to church. He was on the way to church with his son and he was boxed in by police, and there is a video of it, but actually this AI propaganda, I think, is actually a really neat way of what we're looking at here, right? He was surrounded by police. The actual footage wasn't enough, so we've had to create something even more emotive to get people really rolled up about what's happening. Danny Tomo's had a big week on a number of fronts, so actually he had to set up a fundraiser because his mum was apparently doxed by the Daily Mail, so her address was released, but then it turns out that Danny Tomo had actually put her address on a company's house registration document, so he'd actually put it into the public domain, but he still raised £65,000 to help his mum relocate because of something that he did, so he's had quite a lot of money coming in. And then I just had, there's a lot to talk about there,

10:23and on my talk at the UK Column Conference at the weekend, we'll be on the subject of the Daily Mail and Paul Daker, because of course, Mr Daker was speaking out pretty strongly recently about how mainstream press is being attacked for reporting what would have been quite acceptable to report just a few years ago. So there's some really interesting issues here, Ben, that we'll get into at the conference as well as having fun, of course. Yes, okay, fantastic. And actually, Danny Tomo was up at the Daily Mail office for protesting over the past few days, and there's a lot going on here. One of the impacts that he's protested on the South Coast had last week was that now Hampshire Police have effectively banned face coverings of protests, so we used to be able to cover our faces, should we wish to? That's no longer allowed. By the police, was that the intention of that protest? I don't know, but it could have been. So there's lots of questions to be asked about how these groups operate and who support them and

11:27what they are attempting to do. So yeah, what's to talk about? Absolutely. And of course, while we have these two warring factions protesting and counter-protesting each other on the streets of British cities, the establishment agenda is being forced right down the middle in the background. What is that agenda? It looks like this. It looks like total commitment to a war in Eastern Europe. The really has absolutely nothing to do with us, so that young men, including many of those signing up for the Patriot platform, can be hunted by predator drones in Ukraine in order to achieve what? No one's really particularly clear about that, but it will involve a lot of people dying and a lot of money being made by the military industrial complex. That's on the foreign front. On the home front, we got this thing rumbling along the national emergency briefing. We talked about it when it first appeared back in November last year. This is aiming towards a total reordering of society in response to the supposed climate crisis, a new economic model, new energy system,

12:29billions, hundreds of billions, really unlimited amounts of public money put into new infrastructure projects, new housing systems, really the fundamentals of our entire society rebuilt from the ground up. And while we're protesting on the streets and calling each other extraordinary names in social media comments, I mean the comments section on some of those videos, just appalling. Yeah, the language is being used. And I think you probably have to assume that a lot of it is state operatives who are trying to stir things up. It's the war and the climate crisis agenda that's being forced through in the background, right? So we've got to keep our eye on the ball here, otherwise things are not going to end up going in a very good direction. I've just emphasized that you've described two groups. There are other left and rights all devised, but they're all being played off against each other and ultimately they're both that both those groups are under attack, but they haven't yet worked out that the attack is not

13:34coming from the other group in the first instance. It's coming from the government system itself, which is changing very quickly from a democracy into something which is extremely dark and dictatorial. But we'll do more on that in a few moments. Well, we've got a new prime minister, so how is he presenting himself? Well, of course, it's got to be as a lovely man out there working for charity and he's wearing pink, of course. Let's have a look at Andy Burnham on the Great North Run. If you look here, there is the Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, on his way to the finish here in South Shields and just, just moments ago, he was able to cross the line here, finish the Great North Run. He's the first Prime Minister to take part in this race or run, I should say, pre-exhausted, but if you're the Prime Minister of the UK, I'd expect nothing less. All the effort that goes into

14:36this and there he is, still time for a chat. Tell you what, I'll do the interview like everybody else. What's your name, where you from? What brought you out today? I'm Andy, and I'm not looking at my best right now, but I left my indecent running shorts at home, so at least I spared the people of the North East that. Sub two hours. You got to be happy. You do have to be happy with that. It was pretty good, I must say. I loved it though. It's just a brilliant occasion today, particularly so many people out there, such positivity. You see the causes people are running for, but we're all pulling together for the bigger cause. It's just a day that reminds you how good this country is when it's together like this. So there we are. Dressed in pink, he left his indecent shorts at home. That was probably the best thing that he did. He said also in that clip that he was very proud when the red arrows flew over. So we can't look after the defence of the country, but we could have the red arrows flying over the prime minister as he sweats. But the image of course is that he's a lovely man. He's

15:37got the best interests of the country. And if everybody will just be out running every weekend for charity, then this is Britain at its best. But this of course is a very cynical ploy and we've seen it before. Let's just have a look at David Cameron. This is going way back in David Cameron's early days when he was taking plates, tapes or he taking part in the charity mud race. And if we can just pop this one up, this is Cameron also getting even more publicity with another charity race, with of course a lot of children and demonstrating the fact that he's got a lot of support from across communities in UK. So this is all unbelievably cynical stuff. Ben, so nice man. Yes, what a nice man. So a lovely person, David Cameron must be. Let's remember what David Cameron did to this country. Let's also remember that his famous statement was that his loyalty to Israel was unshakable. So his loyalty to the United Kingdom was second to his loyalty to Israel.

16:46Just remember that and think about what ultimately has happened in the world. Now while Andy Burnham has been trying to put that image across of the nice man in pink, something a lot more serious is going on in the background. And the UK column is going to absolutely keep ramming this home to people instead of paying attention to the rubber boats, pay attention to what Andy Burnham and his unknown team behind the door in number 10 of the North are saying they're going to do with the country. And that is devolution. This is the breakup of the country. And we can see from this headline here, if we put that on screen, the Institute of Government, this is actually from a couple of years ago, but absolutely saying in black and white, intention is to break particularly England up, devolving it into these fiefdoms of mayors, but also as going to come away to break up of the country. And I've got a report here from the Irish news, which is absolutely on the button,

17:52because it's basically saying that there's going to be an independence declaration signed. And if we have a little bit of the report here, it says, Stormant First Minister Michelle O'Neill will join her counterparts from Scotland and Wales in Cardiff, Monday to sign a memorandum of understanding calling on Prime Minister Andy Burnham to hold independence referendum. Now, these individuals are meeting just as party leaders. They say they're not actually meeting to represent their countries. However, it's very clear, bend to see what's coming here. It's to break up the UK into ever smaller parts, because of course that dilutes the power of the nation state and makes us easier to control both internally from a dictatorship operating behind that. Number 10, door of the North, but also for external powers such as the European Union. So this is the real policy and your two protest groups on the streets, the left and right,

18:59divide absolutely unaware that they're both going to be grabbed as it were by the alligator operating from Andy Burnham's office. Now, if we dig into this a little bit deeper, we can come on to some good news because the local government reorganization plan a few days ago was actually paused. There was a hiatus crept in, a reviewer plans to streamline local government has been announced, a review to ensure the protest is robust and aligns with the new government's plans to quote rewire the state. If you don't understand what that is, that is the break up of the state. That's the introduction of the new dictatorship. So if I had an extra label to that slide, if we just come back up here, we're going to say that this is hold fire on the local government reorganization. So this is a pause and it does represent good news. So let's get into this a

20:02bit more. The review was announced for the Secretary of State in Parliament and it includes decisions on Essex Hampshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, which have been withdrawn in light of new legal advice. Now remember that, something has taken place here in a legal sense, which is force the government's hand. So if we get on to what Angela Rainer said to say is Secretary of State, she says as we are now determined, well, than ever to devolve power closer to people, we represent its only right that as the new Secretary of State, I make sure that everything we do is working towards that plan to change Britain. Here she is telling you there's major change coming, but of course the change is not fully defined because the public are not to know exactly what is going to come out from behind that door in the north. She goes on to say that in that context in light of legal advice,

21:05I want to satisfy myself firstly that the right process is in place that it's robust and of course complies with the law. So you pick up very strongly that something has happened at law, which is now forcing the hand of the government and in a minute we're going to be showing you some of the people that have worked desperately hard in order to get that wedge, that legal wedge into the system. She goes on to say secondly, I want to fully test whether our proposals for local government reorganization meet the priorities of a new administration and the new prime minister. This is actually a little bit of a smoke screen because yes, the reality is that the legal challenges to the government's rewiring of the state plans of hit home. Now who has been working behind the scenes to make this happen? We are delighted to say that last week we were able to speak to Madeline

22:07Hunt from the heritage party and also Rachel, the creator of Council Watch and both these two tremendous ladies have been working very, very hard to tackle the government on these issues. Now in extra today we're going to have the full 18 minute interview. It's very informative, it's very important, it's exceptionally positive, I will give you a two minutes and a little bit taster here so that you can see what these ladies are talking about and what they've been doing. So what is the actual mechanism, the technical, legal mechanism that you've used to turn the light red and not green anymore? Very simple, it's just asking for a basic law what is allowing them to do this, what is actually allowing them to make this massive systematic changes in the country. That was the first basic question and they failed to answer

23:11from the beginning and we've been just drilling and drilling and drilling the hole in this brick wall and they finally have to stop, we expect them to stop and they will never give us any credit, never, we are so used to this, Rachel, are we? But we know, people know who've done it, people know who put the pressure on them because people have done it themselves. So we've been basically asking them, where is the law which allowed you to do this and where you have a consultation with people, this is the most important thing, who ask you to change the system because everything you update always though, they say people want, people ask and even their law is clearly showing that so this kind of changes should happen when the nation is asking for it, but that's not the case. So this is quite a humiliating climb down though from the government, is this something that's been happening at a white hall level as well as a council level,

24:14like what's the whole kind of network surrounding this? Well yeah, we've got, the councils have basically been going ahead on a whim, the government said all you should do this and they've gone and done it, they haven't checked, the legal standing as to whether they should or not, so they've basically broken the law by going ahead with something, they didn't have a legal mandate for and what we've done with the NRCA is getting people to send all of these freedom of information requests and letters to ministers, so we've got all this evidence that shows that it was always a choice as to where the council's went along with it or not, so that's the evidence and they can't wriggle out of it, no matter what they do from now on, they broke the law back here, so even if they changed something over here, we've still got them on this main critical point that they spend money they really shouldn't have done and that's where we're able to get with the judicial review because we have all this evidence. So then what a tremendous effort are those two women got out there

25:19working with a relatively small team not only connected to the heritage party but also many people connected to the council watch organization itself, they've dealt in evidence and facts, they've put a case together, they've tackled local authorities, they've tackled the government and the result is suddenly the whole of Burnham's plans for the future are now on hold, that doesn't mean say it's gone away and when you listen to the full interview in UK column extra, you will hear more about that, the ladies describe it as a car now stopped at traffic lights but all of that has been done by simple calculated work to do with legal evidence to do with exposing the fraud of what Burnham's and the government has been saying that people want these changes when nobody

26:20wants continual change, they actually want peace and quiet and contrast what the two women have done with the fact we've got men in black suits and balaclavas frightening people on the streets over rubber boats, the people in the rubber boats are not creating the chaos and the destruction that is coming through the political arm so I think there seems to be some massacres over there, yeah, they're just there are a subset of a much bigger problem but I think the main thing for me that this is incredible news that came in touch right at the end of extra last week and we've been talking about this on the show just demonstrates that we can stop this to me it's an incredible development and also I think when we talk about getting in touch with local councils and local politicians we get a lot of comments coming back saying that won't change anything that never works and actually turns out that's a lot of that and of course what

27:20over women are saying is that when there is now talk that the government and local authority people so that's counsellors and officers have broken the law all of a sudden there's a lot of fear now circulating through local authorities and that is that is really making some of the guilty parties think about their position and their future so this is this is calculated activism within the law using the law back at the government itself and it shows what can be done so when people are saying to the UK column use yes but what can we do this is a fantastic example of what calculated action can do and in extra we'll be making sure that you've got details as to how you can get involved repeating this style of work in your own local area indeed yes and we'll be making extra available to the public as well so it won't just be for UK column members it'll be for everybody

28:24as we do from time to time when there's particular important information so look out for that we'll provide links so you can go and watch it and act most importantly do something about it now obviously the government in light this one bit and interestingly on the exact same day within about an hour of that season coming through they issued this piece of guidance the simplification and agency of government which came from the chancellor mr. he Lee there he is and I'm just taking a few excerpts that suggest going to read it because it gives you a real sense of what these people are about um that he says that the government exists to serve and it's our duty to deliver the change that we have promised the British people that would change undefined very very poorly defined defying it because if he defined it it would be the dictatorship that's what the change is is leading us towards very quickly yeah and this is a document the reeks of dictatorship actually we can just get that back on screen just to finish that first quote he says we want to be clear

29:29that the government will act with the full agency that sits with the executive and which flows from our command of majority in the House of Commons goodness me it's just he's doing it for his incentive duty I think that he has is the underlying arrogance is breath yeah it really is yes so he goes on to say the way government approaches policymaking is not functioning as well as it could consultation culture as turn to sensible mechanism for sourcing external input into an industry either underlay we will end this trend by reserting that there is no general juicy consultation and that the default positions would be that ministers reach decisions and proceed to act on them so if you remember that clip that we just watched madden said that the lack of consultation is one of the major things that prevented this legislation from progressing he's now saying well we don't have to consult and that fits because as Mike Robinson will be saying the government's already passed a bill saying that it can break the law where it chooses

30:32supposedly to keep us safe absolutely but these people are building a dictatorship they know it the pieces are being assembled out of sight of the public but we get glimpses yeah so I think they're telling you that's what they're doing they literally telling you in black and white through statements like this that's what they're doing just to just a final section from this paper the way government approaches policymaking is not functioning as well as it could a consultation culture has turned a sensible mechanism for sourcing external input into an industry in did them in delay actually I'm in a minute I've already read this is this one that we need to look at even where departments have historically consulted or previously promised to consult we expect each individual instance to be considered a fresh thinking about what is fair in the particular circumstances so even when they would normally consult they're not going to consult anymore and then he says we also want to see this approach to consultations adopted not just within central government any agencies but across the wider public sector yeah so it's controlled consultation it's

31:37Delphi technique where the members of the public are going to be steered to give the result the government or the the mayor and his local fiefdom want yeah and of course no consultation given to people in Ukraine who've been dragged off the streets to die on a battle field in a war where people like this have helped create it it's it's truly shocking what is taking place here and it's got to be called out certainly does yes and of course all of this being done in the name of liberal democracy which is I have said previously basically means we can do whatever we want if enough people go along with it and in this instance that's basically 20% of the eligible electorate who actually wrote the labor at the last general election so the idea that they've got some kind of mandate to completely reshape the entire country and to just all those through any kind of public opposition it's just ludicrous quite frankly and of course that is our job sat here as we do on a Monday,

35:47fellows talking about kids sleep and making writing great again looking forward to that and then following on at 9pm calls are we'll be talking about trumps war and the position taken by south career should be fascinating discussion now Brian Ukrainian refugees what's going on well this is extremely interesting I know that a lot of people have watched with interest a very very large number of Ukrainians coming into UK in the early days clearly a lot of women and children being sent out of the country out of Ukraine for their families in order to find peaceful sanctuary in UK and other countries but very large numbers I was very interested in the role of the Church of England in supporting what was going on here because of course the Church of England has not been very prevalent in calling for a cessation to the hostilities in

36:50Ukraine you almost get the impression that the Church of England is for the war but on the Church of England website I got very interested in this section about the war in Ukraine as made sure we know who we're talking about the Church of England and I was not too happy with the photograph for the little child there with just a stock war in Ukraine sign instead of a face I found that rather offensive but the Church has chosen to go with that but what do they say well the church says that the brutal war in Ukraine has triggered the largest war related migration of people since the Balkan War of the 1990s as the war develops the situation on the ground can change quickly so when you get into the small texts and I've left it small you have to read it and pay attention to what's being talked about I was very interested to see the Church talking here and what do they have to

1:01:26Ukraine because as he was on the train about to cross the border into Poland the train was actually hit by a Russian drone the Russians have been attacking rolling stock across the hall of the Ukraine railways over the last two months in particular the strikes are inevitably on the engines pulling the train they're not on the carriages and the bulk of the civilians traveling they're targeted at the engines themselves but of course the BBC tried to make very big of this issue with this pathetic little news report a sub-listen so what do we know about this Russian attack? well we know that a drone struck a train at a station in the far west of Ukraine right on the Polish border there were warnings beforehand some passengers were evacuated there'd be no reports of any casualties but this attack matters because just about an hour or so earlier a very special
