Sl: Sneg je mehko padal na vrhove Julijskih Alp, katerih beli pokrovi so se lesketali v zimski svetlobi.
En: The snow gently fell on the peaks of the Julijske Alpe, their white caps glistening in the winter light.
Sl: Mednarodni vrh, ki se je odvijal v slikovitih dolinah, je bil poln energije in življenja.
En: The international summit taking place in the picturesque valleys was full of energy and life.
Sl: Stojnice na lokalnem trgu so bile pisane in žive, kot da bi same skušale tekmovati s krasoto gorskega ozadja.
En: The stalls at the local market were colorful and lively, as if they themselves were trying to compete with the beauty of the mountainous backdrop.
Sl: Med obiskovalci sta bila tudi Mateja in njena prijatelja Bojan in Ivana.

En: "Do you think you can find it here?" asked Ivana, while observing the crowd of people passing around them.
Sl: "Moram jo najti. Slišala sem, da naj bi jo imel en prodajalec tukaj," je odgovorila Mateja z odločnostjo v glasu.
En: "I must find it. I heard that a vendor here might have it," replied Mateja with determination in her voice.
Sl: Pozornost ji je pritegnila stojnica, kjer je sedel starejši možakar z brki, z brado pokrit s snegom, ki je prodajal razne starine.
En: Her attention was drawn to a stall where an elderly man with a mustache sat, his beard covered with snow, selling various antiques.
Sl: Mateja se je previdno približala. "Dober dan. Iščem staro razglednico s podobo Triglava. Morda jo imate?"
En: Mateja cautiously approached. "Good day. I'm looking for an old postcard with an image of Triglav. Might you have it?"
Sl: Prodajalec je počasi dvignil pogled in pogledal Matejo. "Morda jo imam," je dejal z zamikom, "a ta razglednica je zame posebna."
En: The vendor slowly lifted his gaze and looked at Mateja. "I might have it," he said with a pause, "but this postcard is special to me."
Sl: Mateja je čutila, da bo težko. Pomislila je, kako bi lahko prepričala prodajalca.
En: Mateja sensed it would be difficult. She thought about how she could persuade the vendor.
Sl: "Ali veste, da sem zbirateljica in to razglednico iščem že zelo dolgo?" je rekla z rahlim nasmehom.
En: "Do you know that I'm a collector and have been searching for this postcard for a very long time?" she said with a slight smile.
Sl: Prodajalec je opazil Matejino iskreno zanimanje in počasi pokimal. "Imam zgodbo povezano z njo," je priznal prodajalec.
En: The vendor noticed Mateja's sincere interest and slowly nodded. "I have a story connected with it," the vendor admitted.
Sl: "To razglednico mi je podaril oče, ko sem bil majhen, in mi pomeni veliko."
En: "This postcard was given to me by my father when I was young, and it means a lot to me."
Sl: Mateja je globoko vdihnila. Nekaj v prodajalčevih besedah jo je premaknilo.
En: Mateja took a deep breath. Something in the vendor's words moved her.
Sl: Vzela je nekaj časa, da poišče nekaj posebnega v svoji torbi. "Razumem vašo navezanost," je začela Mateja.
En: She took some time to find something special in her bag. "I understand your attachment," Mateja began.
Sl: "Kaj če vam ponudim ta starinski zemljevid iz leta 1900? Ima bogato zgodovino našega kraja."
En: "What if I offer you this antique map from 1900? It has a rich history of our region."
Sl: Prodajalec je pogledal zemljevid. Videlo se je, da ga Matejin predlog zanima. "No, takole pa nisem pričakoval," je dejal, rahlo nasmejan.
En: The vendor looked at the map. It was clear that he was interested in Mateja's proposal. "Well, I didn't expect this," he said, slightly smiling.
Sl: Po kratkem premisleku je prodajalec pokimal. "Sprejmem vašo ponudbo," je dejal.
En: After a brief deliberation, the vendor nodded. "I accept your offer," he said.
Sl: "Vaš zemljevid je prav tako zgodovinsko pomemben."
En: "Your map is equally historically significant."
Sl: Mateja je z nasmehom sprejela razglednico. Čutila je, kako se povezuje z zgodbami preteklosti.
En: Mateja accepted the postcard with a smile. She felt a connection with the stories of the past.
Sl: Prijatelja sta jo opazovala in delila njeno veselje.
En: Her friends watched her and shared her joy.
