Sl: Jutro je že dišalo po jeseni, ko sta se Mateja in Luka vkrcala na avtobus za šolski izlet na Bled.
En: The morning already smelled of autumn when Mateja and Luka boarded the bus for the school trip to Bled.
Sl: Oba sta bila polna pričakovanj.
En: They were both full of anticipation.
Sl: Rjavkasto listje je padalo z dreves, in Luka je že iskal nove skrivnosti, ki jih lahko razkrije.
En: Brownish leaves were falling from the trees, and Luka was already looking for new secrets to uncover.
Sl: Ko so prispeli na Bled, je bil pogled osupljiv.
En: When they arrived at Bled, the view was stunning.
Sl: Jezero se je zibalo ob svetlobi sonca, otok z majhno cerkvico pa je stal v središču kot stražar miru.
En: The lake shimmered under the sunlight, and the island with a small church stood in the center like a guardian of peace.
Sl: Vetrič je nežno gugal veje.
En: The breeze gently swayed the branches.
Sl: Mateja je vedela, kaj mora storiti.
En: Mateja knew what she had to do.
Sl: Njena babica ji je večkrat pripovedovala o kraju, kjer najlepši jesenski listi rišejo zgodbe v zraku.

En: "This way," she said, pointing to an unbeaten trail.
Sl: Luka je bil malce skeptičen, a ji je sledil.
En: Luka was a bit skeptical but followed her.
Sl: Potke ni bilo na zemljevidu, vendar se je Mateja počutila samozavestno.
En: The path wasn't on the map, yet Mateja felt confident.
Sl: Drevesa so tu stala bližje skupaj, pod njihovimi koreninami pa so se listi zlatih in oranžnih barv zbirali kot dragoceni zakladi.
En: The trees here stood closer together, and beneath their roots, leaves of golden and orange hues gathered like precious treasures.
Sl: Hodila sta tiho, pri tem pa se ozirala okoli.
En: They walked quietly, looking around as they went.
Sl: Po dolgi hoji sta se znašla na vrhu majhnega hriba.
En: After a long walk, they found themselves at the top of a small hill.
Sl: Pred njima se je odprl pogled, ki je prekoračil vsa njuna pričakovanja.
En: Before them was a view that exceeded all their expectations.
Sl: Bled se je lesketal v zlatih odtenkih sončnega zahoda, voda je odsevala barve jeseni, otok pa je bil kot v pravljici.
En: Bled glistened in the golden shades of the sunset, the water reflected the colors of autumn, and the island was like something out of a fairy tale.
Sl: "Tukaj je," je vzkliknila Mateja.
En: "Here it is," Mateja exclaimed.
Sl: Luka je pogledal in za trenutek ostal brez besed.
En: Luka looked and for a moment was speechless.
Sl: Dejanje narave ju je popolnoma očaralo.
En: The work of nature completely captivated them.
Sl: Sonce je hitro zahajalo, zato sta se odpravila nazaj.
En: The sun was setting quickly, so they set off back.
Sl: Ko sta prispela do skupine, je vodič že številil učence.
En: When they reached the group, the guide was already counting the students.
Sl: Mateja in Luka sta se združila s prijatelji, tokrat z drugačnim občutkom.
En: Mateja and Luka joined their friends, this time with a different feeling.
Sl: Mateja je zdaj vedela, da je njene babičine zgodbe mogoče verjeti, in da mora kdaj zaupati sebi.
En: Mateja now knew that her grandmother's stories could be believed, and that she should sometimes trust herself.
Sl: Luka pa je cenil Matejin občutek za naravo, kar je odprlo njegov um za nova odkritja.
En: Luka appreciated Mateja's sense of nature, which opened his mind to new discoveries.
