(Video) 248 - Mad Dok Grotsnik

About this episode

*Ad Free Version available on Lorehammer Patreon, link below.*Mad Dok Grotsnik is not your typical Ork Painboy. He is a screaming, blood-soaked nightmare of saws, syringes, bionics, and increasingly questionable medical decisions, a Dok who has turned surgery into an art form and the Ork body into his personal workshop. From fitting Ghazghkull with the adamantium skull that helped shape the greatest WAAAGH! of the age, to surviving his own attempted murder and emerging completely insane, Grotsnik has spent his long career proving that death is merely another medical complication. He has rebuilt bodies, transplanted brains, created Cyborks, experimented with Squigs, and apparently learned enough about Ork reincarnation to drag the dead back into the world. In this episode, we descend into the operating theatre of one of the galaxy's most grotesque, enthusiastic, and genuinely terrifying Painboyz, Mad Dok Grotsnik.Lorehammer Patreonhttps://www.patreon.com/c/lorehammer/membershipOne Time Donationshttps://paypal.me/lorehammerpodcastLink to all Linkshttps://linktr.ee/Lorehammer40k

Oh The End The End The End The End Welcome back to your hammer! I'm Grob! We got a fun orc episode. I don't want to throw all my voice out yet, but get ready for that. We got an orc episode. We're doing a mad dog, Grotsnik. Everyone gets your wags ready in the chat because we're going to be yelling, Hey, yo, fishy, how's it going? What's your orc course like? Well, boys, it's not all that different to my normal voice, really. However, you know, when I do clear my throat, it's slightly different. Yeah, yeah, okay, that's not bad about that.

Just the standard orc. You know, some go for the big war boss all the time. You kind of just want the standard voice out. Yeah, it's all about the boys. It's all about the boys. We also got Lupacall joined us. Hey, yo. Hey, how you doing, guys? You got a hard course for us or? I'm mine, I've a no voice. Well, I'm excited to hear it all. Yeah, we doing a mad dog, Grotsnik. This episode we're going to cover a whole bunch of little things that he got up to. Lupacall even read the books. They'll use telling me before the show a couple cool like things. What really stood out to me kind of when doing this episode, Norin notes was just orc green carnation. And we were kind of talking about that before the show. So I can't wait to talk about that later. Let's just do some quick housekeeping. I threw myself off always with the grubbins voice. You know, I be intro, I do, I throw myself off and I get lost. But I do feel like that is the same noise you make when you orgasm.

Yeah, I get carried around the island. Yeah, start as we meet together. We've all heard Mark orgasm now. Excellent. Excellent. That is good for everyone involved, I think. And you want to show me more gas and voice so you can come join the discord. There's links in the description below. You can send a little voice clip of what you're orc orgasm voice sounds like. Because I guess that's what we're going with this. Yeah, come check out the discord. Always fun time. And if you join in the discord. Always feel free to join the Patreon, join the Imperial tide and support the show. There's an app free version for just $2.50. I think that's about 20 pence and live stream version for $5. You pay more, you pay more for it a decent coffee, even a half decent coffee. So come and join the Imperial tide. And if you do join the Imperial tide, you can join us on the live stream. You can join us in the chat.

And if you want, you can even join us a calling guest and be one of the boys too. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I'll drop a link now and if anyone wants to come in at some point, maybe there'll be some. Some reading and stuff that you want to show your orc voice off to. So there's a link in the chat if anyone wants to pop in. Yeah, let's hop right into this episode. We're going to be covering mad dog grotsnick, obviously. We'll set it up with just a little bit of context, not to throw you in blind. We'll talk about orcs, some plans, specifically the desks, and the goss. And then we'll talk about pain boys and cyborgs. And with that kind of little bit of foreign knowledge, it should be, should be go, good to go into the main episode. We'll talk about all the different experiments that he gets up to. The gas kill special. It's a fashion statement as much as a piece of armor. So that's pretty fun. We, I've never heard about the corpse looters before and they're pretty cool too. That's his kind of personal plan. So talk about them a little bit. Talk about all the different things that he's resurrected from gas kill to.

McCarrie. Is that what that grots name is called? Yeah, McCarrie. Oh, yeah. And then we'll get into his personality, someone's war gear, some other little things. And yeah, talk, work after life, I guess. What happened when the work started? Because I think mad dog, got sick has a very good understanding of it. At least like on an intuitive level. Maybe he doesn't actually know and have words for it, but he knows how to change and cheat death. It's going to be good. It's going to be good, guys. So let's kick off with an overview of mad dog grots. Nick. Mad dog grots. Nick is an old pain boy who approaches surgery with the enthusiasm of a grot discovering a do not press button. He loves rooting through skulls, opening watch should stay closed and changing things just to see what happens. Possibly the most awkish way. As Gazgol Mac or Rook Thracke's personal doc, he enjoys protection few sane orks would question.

His methods are horrifying, but Gazgol fiercely protects him because grots Nick helped open his mind to gawk and mock. Grots Nick was once a skilled pain boy. Years of violence, experimentation and self-surgery have transformed him into a shrieking blood soaked terror obsessed with hurting people while insisting he is helping. His madness grew alongside Gazgol whose visions eventually drove him towards some of the greatest walks in the orc history. These days, Grots Nick's greatest talent is murder. In battle, he becomes a screaming cyclone of blades, needles and sores, charging through the enemy while stabbing, slicing and amputating anything unfortunate enough to be nearby. Since when Gazgol is wounded, the madness briefly disappears. Grots Nick becomes focused, precise and frighteningly competent. Somehow beneath the insanity remains a doc capable of repeatedly saving his master's life.

Mayor Doc Grots Nick is the maddest pain boy around. He loves digging in skulls, gawls and bits and bits and bits and it broke. He's Gazgol's personal doc. So nobody dares touch him. Grots Nick follows the great waaaaah! Carrying sores and needles, looking for more patience wherever the fighting gets loud. Grots Nick used to be a proper good doc, but years of experiments made him completely bonkers. It's happening already. It's happening. It's just waiting until I actually turn green. Now he loves hunting that while yelling that he's helping Gazgol made him famous. And the visions Grots Nick helped unleash sent the big boss towards massive war in battle.

Just a side note, it's not helped by the fact that I was there softening all weekend, therefore shouting an awful lot. In battle Grots Nick's more murderous and doc. He's a green whirlwind of blades, needles, sores and stabbing. Charging straight into the enemy, getting shot only makes him think there's more patience nearby. But when Gazgol gets hurt, the madness stops. Grots Nick gets steady, quiet and precise. Saving his boss again. Where the inside, that lunatic, there's still a proper doc. Who knows? Excuse me! They still a proper doc, who knows exactly where to stick to an eye and how to put them back together proper when the cutting's done.

Oh God! Oh yeah, so Grots Nick just rooting around in people's brains. Does he need this part of the brain? Scoop it out, put a rock in instead. Works perfect every time. Throw it in a pile, it'll be fine. It burns. Brain for rock is about like for like for me, so. Similar replacement. Yeah, Grots Nick, it's crazy. Like with Ork anatomy, you can really get up to like some wildness and not just forkin' anatomy, but then we talk about like walk energy. Then you can really get up to wild things like where you can cut off Ork's arms, sewn to other parts of the Ork's body. It doesn't even have to be on its own arm socket, just sew it to his back and now he's done a third on my hands back. Perfect. What's that? There's an interesting thing that like you can take a weird boy's eyes and put them in goggles and then see as a weird boy. And this is something that Grots Nick like discovered whilst he was like trying to figure things out.

It was like why? Whoever thought that like obviously that is like the Ork used together that like from an Oxford perspective, who would have thought trying that like? I'm gonna walk through your eyes bro. Yeah, I love it. Yeah, and that's the type of stuff you can get away with. It's just so wonky and like disturbing. If you don't like body modification, this one isn't for you. I'm gonna say trigger warning. And speaking of wonky, if you're sewing on legs and he's in this veil of madness, you're much like in the Ork RPG. If you haven't listened, go back and listen, it's fantastic. You know, you could end up just limping because you have a dead leg that's just been sewn or welded onto you. Yeah, but it still kind of works and it's it's a good friend. See what I love about it is they're saying he's mad and crazy and he's just in this weird blur and he's just doing his thing.

But he's still switched on enough to know where he needs to be when he needs to be there. Yeah, yeah, he just loves his job. And like this is like pure and simply going on the perspective of like recently reading the book. And mad is very, very accurate now because basically what has been doing to gain intelligence of like different types of box. Because like a pain boy for like the golf is actually completely different than a pain boy for like to be snuggles. They have different knowledge like a bee snagger boss pairs beat snagger duck will have knowledge of squigs and how to grow them, how to implant motors on them and replace the legs with that. Maybe some more poison type knowledge. Yeah, so in the book he accidentally runs over another pain by the bee snagger and takes like takes his brain and graphs it onto his own.

And gives himself a split personality that he actually argues with the whole way through the book. That's brilliant and like he's taking he was already he was mad because of his anger before that like he was essentially a bipolar arc and woman it could be nice and calm and really caring about his patients and then the next second is flipped and stabbing them through the face. And I'm going to take off your notes. And then so he's so he's followed his own madness by adding people's brains to his like he's like the greatest arc ever outside of gas school. Again, I would take that passion and it's just dedication now if he's transplanting other pain boy brains into his own is just dedicated to his career. Yeah, yeah, trying to get the most out of it, you know, everyone should be a bit more mad dot grots.

I don't know how I'll do that, but I'll think about that. I mean, it raises the question, did he enlarge in his own skull in order to fit here? Extra brain. He relates to top who is school. Nice. And then replace it with like. Like replace the top who is school and replaced it with a metal plate and then like he replaced all of his skin. Nice. And then like everyone's like, you know, it looks weird over that metal plate, right? So we then like took like a. A dish or basically and just went, yeah, we'll get them. And off we went. Like. I was like, yeah, it looks weird. Like his skin sagging off of the space because it's not been stable done properly, but the complaining about like the dough money's head like really well is like really. Fashion, they're fast of baristas. They are.

Man, the orcs do have better health care than the Canadian government grants. So the Canadian government is like, you could press here, have the made program. At least they're trying to stick you to another person. Right. Fuck. Reenkindness. That's through combination. Yeah, let's let's set up some more context here. I'm sure everyone knows what orcs are, but what will give you a little snippet anyways? Orcs are a brutal war of suspicious, whose entire culture revolves around fighting, conquest and endless pursuit of the biggest and loudest battle imaginable. Whenever orcs gather violence, follows. And their numbers can swell into enormous wise capable of threatening entire world. They possess a strange psychic connection that makes their crew technology function through collective belief. Hello, Enram, Shackle Weapons, Bacals and machines to perform with effectiveness that should be impossible to an orc war is not tragedy on the society.

It is life itself. Sosow entertainment, status, purpose and joy. From the smallest grob to the mightiest war boss, every orc ultimately wants the same thing. A bigger fight. Orcs are war-med green skins who live for fighting, conquering and finding the biggest war possible. Their weird psychic power makes Ram Shackle weapons vehicles and machines work through orc, but we. War ain't a tragedy to an orc. It's a life, fun, status, purpose. Every grob boy, no war boss wants the same thing. A bigger, louder gun and more enemies just smashed until they, nothing less standing. It's a simple life, really. Nice. It's endearing, you know. I thought the farmer on that backwater planet in the him he was living the best life. No, no, I think it's the orcs always. You just get a fight, hang out with the boys.

Yeah, fuck a squig every now and again. Nice, Master. They're really, really misunderstood in a way as well because when you get a lot of orcs together, eventually they actually do farm true society, which is really, really weird. And nobody expects it, but we've seen it multiple times over different periods in the park. Okay, the war of the BC was when they first go to the op on it. They are essentially recreated like terror, like they have a massive palace and like subsequent little like areas around it for orcs to live in and stuff like that. And they actually have like their own council, which is kind of funny. And even in the book, they actually send like civilized ambassadors to terror to warn them that if they like if they don't surrender, they're going to come to the smush them in.

Yeah, yeah, that is wild that they can develop like high culture like that, but then even just on like the standard orcs they have like this low culture where it's broken down into all these different clans and classes and different warrior types and all that different stuff. Like it's a very strict hierarchy really. Oh, yeah, see what I love about orcs is it doesn't matter what setting you put them in, whether it's 40k, whether it's fantasy, whether it's sigma. It's all about the fight. It's all about the cramping. And it's not as if it's through lack of care or consideration, look at Yarrick. They will keep people alive just for a good fight. Yeah, and I think and this I believe there's a similar sort of speech in some of the sigma stuff or fantasy stuff. And the doors and the doors are really a tough fight. So they're like, yeah, we like you guys. We don't hate you. We love fighting you guys.

I thought we were friends this whole time. You know, the fan theory that Yarrick's latest survival was actually created by the orcs like gas holes and need for his groud. And create created a scenario that nobody would expect in a space wolf. Reast finding Yarrick pretty much dead on the floor, nearing up like to the point where he should have died. And miraculously knowing how to essentially repairing back to full health. Yeah, I'm a space wolf. Really, the space wolf knowing you me. See, I'm a massive fan of the fact that one of the most known characters in the Imperial God as a guard man as a guardsman, massive fan of the fact that Sebastian Yarrick is probably only alive because the orcs like to fight him.

Yeah, and I wanted to like, we talk about like the Orc wag effect and how it does kind of have a small little effect on things like, you know, it can actually make their vehicles go faster. I wonder if they are super charging Yarrick by believing in him just a little bit that makes him so he's like, well, he leaned into it, didn't he? Because there were still the orcs with rumours that his eyes shot lasers. So he changed his eye to shoot a laser. And it's almost when you think about it, the orcs believed it. And then it happened. Yeah, like he likes to pretend that he did it because he wants to strike the fear that the orcs actually believe in about him. But realistically was it actually the great green with the effects of the orcs that pushed the idea into his head anyway? He's a real tin hat theory. I don't have a tin hat still around from previous episodes.

Is Yarrick now a cyborg? Oh, he is. I'm looking at that power claw. That's pretty cyborg. He's got the power claw. He's potentially being kept alive by the belief of the orcs. They're on the right. Essentially, yes, he is the only thing that like kind of puts it as a no is the fact that the additions were done by human doctors. If it had been done by the pain by them, we could have definitely assume he is. Yeah, tell me if mad dog got a hold of him. We won't be like trying to put some like orcs, but as well as operating on him and seeing what happens. No, I think mad dog would have stolen his skin and tried to use his skin quite possibly. Probably used it as a cave part of the career.

It's very rough because he just had just a loincloth. Yarrick skin is a loincloth. Mad dog might even blow his own face off trying to look through Yarrick's eye to see what Yarrick sees. The real twist is actually. This is actually a various. This whole time behind the eye just out various. Well, let's talk a little bit more about orcs society. We'll talk about the clans or clans are the great cultural and military tribes that divide green skin society. Each with its own traditions appearance fighting style and ideas about what makes an orc properly orky. The goffs are brutal close combat specialists. The desks skulls are superstitious scavengers obsessed with loot and lucky blue paint. The evil sons live for speed. The bad moons are wealthy and heavily armed. The snake bites claim to ancient traditions and the blood axes are usually what cunning and willing to intimidate other species.

Together, the clans form the cultural backbone of orc society giving green skins endless reasons to argue over which is best before settling the matter with a fist fight. Orc clans is the big tribes that what make up the orc society. Each word is born done away and fighting and living. Goss will like crumpent desks like loot and evil sons go fast big moons got the lats of teeth and dacka. Snake bites like the old ways and the blood axes bring their clever. They all argue about who's best and sell it with a big proper orky fight. I think I like my grubbens voice more than my orc voice. It's more close to my normal voice so why need annoying and high pitch so perfect. We were mentioning the beast snagers are they a clan or are they like an ostrich?

I kind of forget. It's a bit weird because they're not like a big clan but more like a tribe sort of thing. It's weird to explain. I'm still trying to get my head around it to be honest with you because it's like, like how do you look at speed freaks? I mean, it's the same thing. So they can be associated with their clan but like they're like the speed freaks or the, what's the other one that's obsessed with flying? There's like a small group of them that like, yeah, the fly boys are like super obsessed with flying even though there's like the storm boys that do the same thing with the fly boys take it to that next level. Yeah, okay. Yeah, so it's almost like, yeah, it's like a specialization. Yeah, yeah.

I guess and like you've got you're going to have all war bands, whatever groups of orcs that float between everyone. I mean, look at the free boot. Is that work with any and anyone? Quite a lot of free boot was established like redundant arcs from the other than like discarded from flams and stuff like that. So it kind of makes sense. So long as they get to do what they love. I mean, we're making it so all society is becoming more and more appealing. If I like you one day, one day. You say that I started off like like had diving into chaos because like I love shit like that and like. I think I'm going to be my biggest down this. Yes. And then the new arcs things come out next week. Well, the go on pre-order next week and I've already put my order in at like 400 pound.

Nice. Well, okay, good. I mean, that's only one model, but. Yeah, that's. That's just the special edition gas call book. Nice. Egg. So we'll start with the death skulls. The death skulls are the orcs greatest scavengers, thieves and enthusiastic collectors of anything they believe might be useful valuable or simply worth stealing. They have a particular talent for finding abandoned technology, stripping it from the battlefield and immediately bolting it onto something completely unsuitable. Death skulls are infamous for their belief in luck painting themselves and their equipment blue because blue is considered lucky among orcs. They're kleptomaniackel habits make them invaluable when an orc army need ammunition, spare parts vehicles or anything else that can be acquired without paying for it.

To a death skull, there is no such thing as stealing. There was only finding something that somebody else was foolish enough to leave unattended. So there was always a little saying in the army between units. If it's not tied down, it's yours. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So the death skulls are scavengers, thieves and professional finders of stuff that aren't days. They loot battlefields for weapons, ammo, vehicles and spare bits. Then bolts onto whatever looks useful. They paint themselves blue because blue is lucky. If the death skull don't steal anything, they just find stuff. Somebody else was stupid enough to leave behind. Yeah, and this becomes important to know about death skulls because our boy mad doc is a death skull. So we're talking about loot and just taking things and just everything is now on the table for well now it's off the table because they took it all.

But he just will loot everything and come up with a wildest type of pork creations. I mean, it's a table. I wouldn't say it's not tall. It is take everything that's not nailed down, then take the nails and then take it with we know. Yeah, and then nail it to an orc. Pretty much. So long as it's painted blue. You see that yeah, exactly. That's cool that like the different pain boys do have a different flavor depending on what. And they're from like yeah, that makes sense like, you know, where if you got a golf pain boy, he might be way more violent and brutal his surgery is where it's like I'm going to rip your whole body and have to replace your whole half a body. You know, it's like very just brutal. I'm going to just give you big arms and big guns like simple and effective. Well, I can. Yeah, sorry, I can imagine a death skull pain boy like adding something to you that you know you've lost.

But after he's done that, he's going to take something else. Yeah, that's right. I've replaced you like however, I have just taken your lower left arm. It's food trade. It's a bone. Yeah. It's not at least his on nipple belt. Yeah. No nipples on the orcs, so no nipple belts for them sadly. The gospel mentioned as well just to set up some context because we will be talking about gas kill a lot and he's a got. And even though mad doc is a death skull, he does hang around with a lot of gossip. Seems like he hangs out with them more often than his own kind of clan, so set that up to the gossip are the largest and toughest and most brutally. and most brutally straightforward of their plans. They have little patience for flashy disputes or elaborate tricks, believing that the best solution to almost any problem is hit harder. Gough's favorite close combat above all else and take immense pride in their strength, toughness,

and willing to charge directly into the enemy. Their warriors are commonly enormous, heavily armored, and armed and eager for the sort of brutal melee that turns battlefields into mountains of corpses. To the Gough's subtlety is usually another word for not hitting something yet. Not hitting it yet, okay. The culture embodies the raw, violent heart of Orch Warfare. Get stuck in, keep swinging, and never stop looking for a bigger fight. The Gough's are amongst the beast and the toughest being a storex around. They take the fancy tricks and prefer hitting problems harder. Gough's loud, close combat, target straight into the enemy, and turning battles into powerful corpses. 70 isn't waiting too long that he'll smile things. The Gough's lived by one rule. Get stuck in, keep swinging, and find a bigger fight. Thanks, Robbins. Yeah, the Gough's so just like your stereotypical Orch Boy.

Pretty much. Yeah, it's a perfect summary, Klamas. It's great intruder orcs. Yeah. However, from a painting aspect, it's not the best one to start with. Wow, what do you mean? Check them out. There's every sign in life. Check them out in black. It's just no. Yes. Nice. I do like on the new models from the Amageddon box that because they assume someone's going to try and paint them. Gough, they actually put the checker on in light, actually on the sculpt on the top of the flag, so you don't have to paint it by hand. Ironically, it's just as much of a bitch to paint it because they didn't do the recess as deep enough. Ha ha ha ha. Yes. No, to me, they are the stereotypical. These are the Orcs.

Yeah, great summary. So, pain boys get specific. Pain boys are the orcs answer to medicine, combining crude surgery, cybernetics, and an almost complete disregard for patient safety. Armed with saws, drills, syringes, bone crushing tools, and whatever other instruments they have collected, pain boys patch wounded orcs back together so they can return to the fighting. Their methods of brutal, but by orcs standards, surprisingly effective. Pain boys can replace limbs and with machinery, install bionics, extract bullets, and perform increasingly horrifying modifications, often while arguing that screaming is simply evidence that the operation is working. To a pain boy, the orc body is lesser sacred thing than an interesting machine that can always be opened, repaired, and improved. Pain boys are orcs medics with saws, drills, syringes,

and no concern for patient safety. They patch boys up, replace limbs, install bionics, and perform whatever surgery gets them back fighting. Screaming means that operation is working. To the pain boy, an orc body is just a machine. That can always be opened, repaired, or improved. Very cool. I have never seen this pain boss model before. So he's fucking fighting. He's new. He's one of the new guys from the Armageddon Boxer, believe. And now that's one of the huge ones. How is he coming? Yeah, he is meant to be like halfway between a normal and a beast's neighbor, so that people can light sort of kick-bash it either way. Nice. Interesting. Yeah, he's wild. And you can see how clean that orc surgery tends out being.

You just rip off the arm, shove some rods in there. Easy peasy. For a figure sculpting aspect, it's genius. But because you can go wild and for kick-bashing and the hobby side of thing, they're great. Yeah, they're so cool. Shall we go on to the sidebox? One of my favorite new things that I've recently found out about? Yeah. Sidebox are orcs who have been extensively rebuilt with mechanical parts, either because they suffer catastrophic injuries or because they simply decided that having more metal inside them sounded like a good idea. Limbs, jaws, organs and entire sections of body can be replaced with crude but powerful machinery, transforming the arc into something that is part warrior and part walking work, you know, accident. Many sideboxes embrace their mechanical nature, treating their argumentation as trophies of battle and proof of their toughness.

Others simply enjoy being hard to kill. Their appearance varies wildly, but I'll share the same essential philosophy as something gets blown up, but something bigger back up. Sideboxes are orcs rebuilt with machinery after terrible injuries or because they want and want metal inside. Limbs, jaws, organs and all body parts get replaced with crude but powerful bionics. They wear their metal like trophies and proof of roughness. So if something gets blown up, just bolt something bigger back on in it. And it's a great philosophy because it's like it's not like bolt something back on that looks like the similar shape or function of what you lost. It's like if you're looking at our livestream, we got this orc track body guy here. It's genius. It's amazing.

Sideboxes are wild. Like I wish they had a unit of it somehow. I know you can put like cyborg upgrades down and get like a five plus in one. But like to have this crazy kind of squad where you could just make the wildest orcs. Yeah. Yeah. It's for me it's like kids cartoon drawing. To extreme. It's great. I mean, I really want to see. And I will give massacudos because I have no money to anyone on the anyworth? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I like that. Yeah. Yeah. Send the word up. Just some comments. Another great cyborg here, this one's like fully, fully bionic.

Like, at what point is it a robot now? Like, how much of that work needs to remain? Is it just the brain? Maybe not even. It's interesting when you think about it, because there's not just pain boys that can make cyborgs or do like the graphs and stuff like that, because mech boys can also graph things onto themselves, which you think would just be like a, you'd need a pain boy car, but they seem to be able to just do it as well, so I think they're a, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I guess it's like a pain boy can do the surgery, but he can't make the machine, you know, where the mech boy can make the machine, and that's easy. The Ork anatomy will pretty much do the surgery for you, yeah, no. Yeah. My favorite one of that one is from the Brutal Cunning series. With the debuffin, he gets his legs blown off,

puts himself a mono wheel on, and then in the next book, they end up in Comerah, and ends up stealing Drew Cari anti-grave technology and making himself a floating plate instead. Nice. That's brilliant. Nice mono wheel ork. Yeah. Classic. Nice. There is one, he's a goff, he's just, they're almost wrapped at Harlem legs. You can just go all out on your imagination, it's great. Yeah, man. Yes, I've worked some very cool. I will get back to Mad Dog now that we got some of these contacts, so come up, feel up the episode. So yeah, we'll start with his history and see where it takes us. Grotnik began as a skilled pain boy, whose career changed forever when Gazkel arrived in his operating room, with a ruined skull and a brain that required immediate containment.

Grotnik replaced the damage bone with adamantiel, and when Gazkel's subscript, I hate that word, rose to become one of the greatest ork warbosses in history, Grotnik reputation exploded alongside him. The resulting demanded for a service that made him wealthy and influential, but his increasingly dangerous experiments eventually provoked the nobs into attempting to murder him. Left for dead with his skull opened by a death dread saw, Grotnik was dragged back to the operating room by his gretchen nurses and somehow resurrected after a pitifully dying during that night. Whatever sanity remained in him did not survive the experience. From then onward, surgeries became increasingly bizarre. His experiments increasingly dangerous and his fascination with the ork body increasingly personal. He began creating grotesque graphs, experimenting with squig-bait brains, constructing biological monstrosities, and eventually amputating his own limbs purely to keep his surgery skills sharp.

But... Yeah, that's nice. Grotnik used to be a proper good pain boy to you, Gazkel came along. Came with it, his skull is all busty open in his brain sloshing about. Grotnik stuck on an adamantium in Ed, and when Gazkel became a great war boss Grotnik got famous too. But then the nobs tried to kill him. They got open his head with a death dread. But the grotchen dragged him back and somehow him alive again. After that Grotnik went completely bonkers. He started grafting bits on orks and sticking-skidwig brains in him, making him horrible new creatures and even going off his own limbs just more of that practice. Nice. I kind of get it like if your grot has just dragged you away and brought you back, you're going to be a bit pissed off. Yeah, we get into this...

Or a little bit later in the episode of him actually getting resurrected. It's wild, I don't spell it yet, but it's quite the ordeal. The resurrection with his grots a bit weird. It's not like he brings him back from a new grot, he just starts naming another grot after his favorite grot. And they gain its knowledge while still keeping their own personality. So wild, yeah. Yeah, like it's like weird psychic transfer of knowledge somehow or something. Yeah, it's weird to like how there were just so many questions, but because it's orks we can't question it because it just works. Just go with it. Is my answer? It's weird, it's a lot of the orks stuff is actually based on real science theory.

You've got to understand that theory and when you compare it, holy shit. Even like the color schemes and stuff like that, it's all about recognition with how people recognize colors quicker and stuff like that. That's why red is for going faster because it's one of the colors that you identify quicker. Yeah. Yeah. One of the ones that you recognize slower, that's where the joke of the purple art has come from because they're out there. I'm sure I've read a story where there was a purple art. It was just like slowly creeping about and it could be seen, but it was like hiding in the darkness and it took them a few seconds. But oh, what's that? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it's why you have red warning labels and things like that. And we appear to have lost a mark. Oh, is he? Oh, grubbensispeck. Yeah, it's quite the storm down in Panama, so. Fair enough. Well, let's look at Grottsnick's beginnings now.

Now you've returned. Grottsnick started as an ordinary pain boy on earth, which was presumably unfortunate for everyone nearby. His career changed forever when Gas Gold took a bolt around directly to the head. Most docks might have declared the patient dead. Grottsnick instead removed the damage goal, replaced it with a substantial lump of adamantium. And apparently considered the procedure a roaring success. The operation somehow opened Gas Gold's mind to gawk and mork, beginning his rise to pat towards becoming the greatest war boss of the age. Grottsnick rose with him, naturally taking credit where possible. He even tried turning Gas Gold into his personal pet project, killing McCurry whenever the irritating gretchen interfered. Unfortunately, McCurry kept coming back. Grottsnick started as a pain boy on earth, till Gas Gold took a bolt or in his head.

Most docks would have called him dead, but Grottsnick ripped off the busted skull, stuck on some adamantium, and called it good surgery. Then Gas Gold started eering gawk and mork, become a big war boss, and Grottsnick got famous too. Grottsnick even tried making Gas Gold, his own pet project, but McCurry kept getting in the way. Grottsnick killed a grot plenty of times, but the little gretchen came back. Yeah, it's just fun little thing. Like, isn't this same or, do they care to memorize which grottsnick keep sitting on and killing? Do they think it's the same guy? Eventually, I think we do get confirmation, like that they are resurrecting Morky, and like we said, his knowledge comes back into his body and stuff, but he has fun.

So McCurry is a very, very interesting grot, because there is, he has the hand of Gas Gold imprinted on his body, which at one point Gas Gold basically put his hand on his shoulder, and this then happened where, as Hamprent said, onto McCurry. So they know it's McCurry every time, because the Hamprent always emerges once like, that grot becomes McCurry. There's also this thing of him always carrying this banner, which you can see in the image, and whenever McCurry wields that banner, the arcs around him feel empowered, as if Gas Gold is empowering them himself. In the Gas Gold book,

there's a period where like Gas Gold doesn't want McCurry around, and when he dies, he doesn't come back, and the other arcs around Gas Gold actually request McCurry to be resurrected. Because he always comes back, because it's up to a certain period, he was always coming back, the arcs knew that somehow Gas Gold was resurrected, they didn't know how, it just happened, and in the middle of a battle reached down, grabbed a random grot, and went, oh, McCurry, they want you. And all of a sudden this grot won McCurry instantly, and then he went through a period where Gas Gold kept resurrecting him, but McCurry didn't want to be resurrected, he didn't want to be near Gas Gold, killing himself in these ludicrous ways, and it goes on par,

it's a round a year of like McCurry, consistently throwing himself into danger, and like taking Gas Gold like a month to decide which grot is going to bring back as McCurry, and the whole time this banner has been carried around by a normal arc waiting for McCurry to return to give him back the banner, and the whole time is being getting shot and blown up, and it's replaced different bits of metal onto the banner, and like restitched it with all the material is found, and it's such a great thing for such a little character. Yeah. But it's the only arc that ever gets a name, and they like rally behind them, like with the only grot, I mean. Yeah. I love the fact that McCurry and Gas Gold are basically an old married couple. Like they just need, I need a few days away from you. Can you just not bring me back, please? Yeah.

And then what, Maddox or Therapist or what? Pretty much. I'm going away. I would go without a whole like neighbor. I'll go. Yeah. Break it into your dealership. I mean, it'd be the weirdest therapy ever. You go, like every time Gas Gold does go under the knife, oh, Maddox, it removes a little bit of his brain, and that's how he opens him up to the great green a bit more. Because every time he gets injured in some way, that part of him gets exposed to the great green. And like, that's how he heals. It's literally the great green blowing into him and healing him. So when he does it to his brain, it's a higher connection to the great green, because that's blowing into his brain. And that's how he creates the connection, like a deeper connection to Gork and Mark. Yeah, yeah. Because that's ultimately what that surgery did.

Graznik is almost like a minor character to Gaskill. And like he kind of just pushed Gaskill on his path. And then he does a bunch of his own stuff. But like, yeah, he was almost like, that this side character from. There's not one gas, there's not one gas, but where maddox does not get a mention at some point in the book. Yeah, yeah, he's also a very big. Sure, but yeah, it's big enough to lean his own clan, like, own minor clan, get his own book. But he's also a minor character in practically every Gaskill's book. Even, he even has like, he just dedicated to him throughout the books. Yeah. And Macari hates him with a passion. He, I get that because between Macari and Maddox and Graznik, it's like the wife and the side piece.

Yeah, it kind of really is basically Macari thinks that the docks doing it to control Gaskill, not to open it up to the great green. So it basically turns into a little jealous bitch at one point. It's kind of funny. It's actually it's kind of modern funny. Because at the time, the story's been told by Macari to the inquisition, being translated by another arc that can speak human. Perfect translation. No problem. There's actually a mini-argument between Macari, the guy that's translating and the inquisitor, like in a little three way, because he's been like, the stat has been like, edit in it. It's sort of thing in it. And Macari can't understand English. She just can't speak it. Well, can understand whatever human language is speaking,

yeah, what is a sneaky little get? Sneak go of it all. So let's move on to Gaskill. Gaskill Maguruk Thracka is one of the most powerful and infamous arcs, arc warbusters in the galaxy. How a towering gulf whose ambition extends far beyond the conquest of a single world after surviving a bolt around through the skull and receiving an adamant replacement from Maddock Grotsnik. Gaskill began experiencing visions and messages from the arc gods, Gork and Mop. Commence that he had been chosen for something greater. He gathered arcs beneath his banner and lodged enormous wars across the galaxy. Gaskill is not merely interested in winning battles. He seeks the ultimate war. One vast enough to unite the arcs and drown the galaxy beneath an endless green tide. Gaskill is one of the biggest world bosses ever.

Grotsnik fixed a bolt of blasted ed with adamantium, then Gas started even gork and Mok. Now he leads a massive war across the galaxy, looking for the biggest war ever, and it often works to drown everything in green. Again, simple philosophy. Very simple. Drown it in green. But why? Because it's the best. Because he's not green enough. Yeah. It's simple philosophy. Yeah. Gaskill starts us. Green's great. Because arcs are green and arcs are great. So green is great. And the great green has got to be great. And the arcs are green and green. It's great. It's great. Literally the perfect philosophy. It's perfect. I like this old Makari banner here.

It's so like not orky. But it's just funny to see it's so old and like. Even gas kills old banner here. It looks like this like three arm gene seal at work. He's got like three different guns up. Pretty fun. It's like a medieval drawing of somebody who's like draw horse and medieval times. They draw this weird thing. It's like a work trying to draw an ork. Yeah, I do like how over time if you look at the different Makari models, the banner gets a little more damaged each time. Yeah, yeah. Then it gets kind of. Yeah, very cool. So we'll talk about the gas kill special. If you look at old gas kill, he's got that adamantium metal plate. So this was got six grotsnick signature skull replacement. An adamantium cranium modeled after the one he fitted to gas kill after the future war boss sub into devastating head wound. Once gas goes for power began, the metallic skull became wildly fashionable among his dogs who eagerly sought to

sought the same procedure. Grotsnick was delighted by the man seeing as it was both a lucrative opportunity and an excellent way to experiment with the ork brain. Naturally, his definition of customer service included secretly installing explosives inside their new skulls. Just in case. Why not just why not I have some lying around might as well use them. The gas kill special is got snakes favorite famous adamantium. And the dogs love him so grotsnick start handing them out like they were fancy hats. Of course, he also stuck explosives inside them just in case one of us customers got all happy. Awesome. I mean, who doesn't need some C4 max mixed with the cerebral cortex? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Pete, you know, stuff like some sex pee for you can manipulate it.

It's all good. You just get one of those like rollers that you get from a hobby shop to like put the patterns of the brain in. Perfect. So, McCarrie who is swiftly turning into one of my favorite or characters. McCarrie began as one of mad dot mad dot grotsnicks orderlies learning quickly that survival meant staying away from the sharp tools. Eventually becoming mad gas goals legendary Gretchen standard bearer McCarrie has survived countless situations that should have reduced him to paste. Grotsnick has repeatedly killed him when he interfered with his plans for gas goal. Only for McCarrie to somehow return in another body. Despite his tiny stature, McCarrie has become an unlikely symbol of gas goals. Wow. Having the great banner while somehow surviving everything the galaxy throws it in.

McCarrie started as one of Grotsnick's Christian orderlies learning fast to sharp tools is best avoided. Later, he became gas goals banner waving get grotsnick killed him lots of times. But McCarrie kept coming back in new bodies waving to panor and being an annoying little get. Oh, McCarrie. Yes, they start off as Grotsnick's little orderly and kind of moved away from that. I find it like for some reason my head. I'm imagining McCarrie, but in full scrubs. Just he's the single orderly in the room and he's just all white nice and clean. He's holding his hands up like surgeons do after they've scrubbed up. I've just got that image. I'll throw that into chatbot here and we'll see what it comes up with.

Give me a minute. I mean, the Grots orderly output is like what they call have mask, which is literally just a bandana over their mouth. And like some sort of apron, whether it be only covering the way star like full front. And then they just run around with like knives and scissors and all sorts of silly things hoping not to get squished whilst Grotsnick's doing surgery. I mean, I would say it's quite good advice to you stay clear with the sharp things if there's a mad guy around. Yeah, yeah, I think it's sound advice. I mean, you know, like his name actually means grew up killer, don't you? The way that they are seeing his name is associated with killing Grots.

Of course, yeah, no, that's just clicked. I totally just clicked that. Doctor's code on our little guy. I'll see you. Yeah. That's amazing. Perhaps that's what dock is actually trying to prevent his medical license. Right. No, I can medical for you. High of power. Grotsnick surgery was already unpopular, but gas balls protection meant nobody was stupid enough to complain directly. So only drowning in customers, Grotsnick looked over the wealthy knobs, queuing outside his tent and experience what he considered a brilliant medical revelation.

Everyone needed a better head. He convinced the richest nubs that the procedure which saved gas school could make them tougher to. He neglected to mention was the small quantity of high explosive installed inside each metal cranium. He also neglected to mention the remote detonator business boom whenever a knob and I didn't grow up so simply pressed a button and it's use the aesthetically demonstrated by patients should always follow the doc's instructions. Eventually the nubs discovered the truth and decided Grotsnick required an appointment of his own. He was still learning down and malfunctioning towards the malfunctioning death dread where the machine seized him with the pizza and sword open to his head. His gratitude order is watched their master apparently died then recognized an exciting professional opportunity. They dragged Grotsnick back to the medical center. They operated on his exposed brain through the night during which one unfortunate brought one that directly into his open school.

He tried to growled into the warm wet cavity where he proceeded to die several from last time the through being dragged stich stapled and otherwise prevented from remaining dead. The experience did not improve him. The plant is really. So it's been like his brain's been bombed on it's had spider shitting on it. It's had. It's had something else. It's on the holes. Yeah. It's also the fact that he was dragged back to the tent with his head exposed so it's very. And the greatest. The picking glass out of his brain well as well the working. Grotsnick will consider really madder and immediately detonate every explosive gradient in the camp while dancing beneath the moonlight. From then on with his experiments became even less compatible with conventional medical practice.

He began replacing his own limbs with those belonging to unwilling downwards. And swapping patient brains but lives livesquakes apparently reasoning that patients personnel it was unless it's an unnecessary luxury. Rumor spread that Grotsnick was constructing a gigantic composite super arc from organs, limbs and other body parts detonated by because donated by customers who perhaps misunderstood the meaning of medical consent. His personal death school walk band the cops looters accompanies him on his rampages enthusiastically collecting bodies machinery and anything else Grotsnick consider considered medically interested. They loot with complete impunity believing behind battlefields that resemble both a massacre and especially ambitious operating theatre without gas balls patronage Grotsnick would most certainly have been murdered long ago. Instead he remains free to practice medicine in proof of patients and is going to increase in the creative ways to prove that death is merely a temporary convenience.

I'm trying to be careful this way. Yes, then I started wanting Grotsnick's fancy metalheads so he happily gave them out. He didn't mention the explosives inside. If a dog got malfy Grotsnick pressed a button and he said go boom. The nubs eventually caught on and tracked Grotsnick with a deaf dread. It grabbed him and sawed open his head. The Gretchen dragged him back where they tried fixing him. One got puked in his skull, a spider crawled inside and Grotsnick died several times before they shot him alive. It made him worse. Grotsnick woke up completely bonkers and blew up on the nubs while dancing under the moon. After that he started grafting stolen nims onto himself,

sticking squig brains in orcs and building giant super orcs from body parts. The cops look at us following him around collecting bodies at news hall beats. Gaskell keeps him safe so Grotsnick can keep practicing his medicine. Yeah, very cool. What a wild story. It gets vomited on. There's a spider still living up there. But ultimately it just takes them over the edge and turns them into truly insane. Definitely that I guess to you a couple times, a couple of dozen times. I think he gets operated on by Grots and then goes this is a good idea. I'm going to carry on operating on myself. Maybe it's better if I do it to myself. I don't even care if I'm unconscious. I just love the idea that for me at least for me within these moments of clarity, it's almost as if like sheer will has just nope.

I've got to put that to one side. Just I don't care about the spider like almost as if brain itself is just like I'm going to push the spider to one side. Yeah, ignore it. It's not there. Yeah. But then he yeah, he starts creating like super orcs and super cyborgs and stuff and he found his own little clan called the corpse luteus. So the corpse luteus death skulls warband answering directly to pain boss Grotsnick, which is unfortunate for absolutely everyone involved. These pain boys and free boot is charging the battle enthusiastically creating a respectable pile of corpses before beginning the real work collecting the dead and wounded for Grotsnick's experiments. Their meat wagons haul the unfortunate specimens back to his medical tent where cyborgs and grotesquely modified creatures called stitch boys are assembled repaired and rearranged and generally subjected to Grotsnick Grotsnick's enthusiastic interpretation of medicine.

The corpse luteus are Grotsnicks death skull lands following them into ballroom collecting their bodies for his experiments. They smashed up first then they hold it dead away and wounded back in the meat wagons. The looters also look for Grotsnicks star books and it's the weirdest creations or the stitch boys. I just imagine orcs walking around a camp just bring out your dead bring out if they're not dead bring out anything. I mean the good thing about it's a good thing about if you loot in dead bodies is there's always going to be dead bodies around right and don't really going to care if you loot a few. Or all of them there for the taking really. What the ultimate body to loot for the corpse luteus be McCarries.

No because it is it is not really that useful because there's still kind of small. Yeah but would Grotsnick like out of spite just use McCarrie for something completely useless. I'm singing out of your entertainment you would operate on it but it won't really do anything to improve it literally just open it up see what made him take and then just throw him back in a pile and see if you're. It really can't eat it on his own. Just at each time add a different insect to his brain. Tell us. The most likely thing is it will put a track on it track her in him so we know where he is so we can crack gas cool without Owens what right on them which I think he already has done that. Just a big slashing light on top of his head. So the stitch boys are Grotsnick's proudest biological disasters grotesquely grafted and customized from whatever limbs organs and other useful bits he can acquire these unfortunate masterpieces serve with within decalcs looters marching into battle as living evidence of their docs genius Grotsnick considers every stitch body a successful experiment.

The stitch boys are Grotsnick's favorite custom made monsters built from stolen limbs organs and whatever other bits he finds useful. They march into battle as proof that Grotsnick's surgery works which mostly means they're still alive. That's nice that's nice. So it is a gas kill almost a stitch boy you know he had his whole head stitched onto a completely different works body. Well if gas coal is a successful surgery like a genuinely successful surgery and the stitch boys of grotesque and like cyborgs except outside borks are accepted. How bad does this have to be? I'm almost picturing like the rat auger in from a os see if I can pull a picture of that yeah okay here we go where it's like.

Pretty go task just green or sits toys from toy story. Yeah yeah the thing with gas cool is always injuries eventually get healed with the great green and it's and the worst he has is like scars on his body. Like there's no real actual evidence that is actually being worked on it just looks like a bunch of faded scars. Like the only real obvious one is obviously is replaced skull because that's exposed. Yeah yeah man I kind of want to buy some of these and turn them into work stitch boys now that would be the move. I've just got a bunch of rat overens from the age of sigma spare head magazine. And could you add a real like I was really thinking of doing like a toxic waste sort of theme like bright bright greens and black.

Yeah black for bright bright green skin. Bright green yeah yeah okay. And look a little like a he slapped an orca on one of those all rat auger and what's the scale like with it kind of work or they are about the same size as a. If the new box boy is something like you know the right the nubs once yeah about that size. Yeah. It's really like a mutated mutated arc. And to be fair I wouldn't put it past grotsnakes put something completely out of scale. Yeah yeah I was thinking about yeah putting a grots body amputate them at the hips stitch that onto an orcs head replacement. So you got like an extra two arms now. So you're going to put it into on top of the shoulders.

I mean it did put up basically a book of mandos head onto a squig. And give it like for the arms or something. It's got to be a good gas challenge. I think it's comical that what they've done for art is they've made it so arcs of kick bashing themselves in the like in the universe. And like it will start they're like damn grotsnakes got some right kid bash ideas why can't you make these a little more. Yeah yeah that's an in universe statement to right for sure. So it's actually an orcs and second arm again and one damn. It's GW double nerding with this. Like it's not like inception nerd and it really so yeah. Yeah yeah.

It's like he yeah. I know you said my car is what if they were characters and honestly eat like it was when I read the gas school books but like the more I've read of rocks nickers just like yeah. There's him the main the main free boot are out of the brutal cutting books and. The guy the main arc out of the new free boot was code book that all brilliant. Like they're really really well written and it's hard to pick a favorite and I've got like one more art book that I haven't read which I own and I'm like is this going to give me another art that I want in my collection. Is it not as now drag is coming to a model like I'm getting him. He's already been all the way. I read about bullets which is gas kills second and command and I'm.

It doesn't really show up in the books that much big that is like it's sort of like just gets sent off on these like random missions is like essentially like his head commando. You don't really like come across in that much in the books. There's another one was like a squad of them. The commandos and like the grots look book is the first time I'd heard of like seen them actually appear in the books and I've heard about them from law. But not like really seen anything of them and the ball that like each of them are like a unique skill. Like like sneaking and hacking and. It's like how they do like the death walk to better and squad so each one's got a speciality like very much like that and like kind of make me giggle.

Because one of them get killed and combined with a squid. They make for the perfect kill team right. I think actually isn't they are an or kill team. And it's named something slightly different. Yeah, so yeah they are called command those are the kill team. Yeah, they are stunning. Yeah, it's a nice little box. Yeah. I think commandos might be one of the ones that is going into normal from being a kill team. Yeah. They've done it with I think they've just moved eight boxes from kill team to normal. And they're going to replace them with another eight. Yeah, that'll be interesting. With eights, but those eight have also replaced sort of a replacement actually replace sculpts that were already existing like the raptors one.

So there's now to wrap the sculpts that you can get that are like classes of normal raptors. Yeah, I can't see old or command kit and yeah. Yeah, so this one's now kind of game replaced with the kill team. You see? Yeah. Okay. This one was cool. The knob in this squad was tight. Like he had a cool bionic arm and like smoking a cigar is pretty cool guy. Yeah, that's something that's brought up in the book actually because they were all stuck there with like cigars. And when you get that is like, okay, offer you me in it. We offer you me. All right. Well, let's go. I want to go to the brought on this back. This is a backhand drop. Right? Yeah. I like it. I'm again. And I'm again. It was a sort of place mad duck brought to the con only dream of endless war enormous casualties and more wounded orbs than any same pain by could possibly treat as that goes.

Gas goes invasion taught across the world. Gratznik established himself among the carnage happily rummaging through the aftermath of our interest in patients useful body patterns and anything else that might improve his experiments. Whilst other orks saw amigurated as a battlefield to conquer, Gratznik saw a gigantic operating there. Every destroy tank provided scrap, every fall or more yet provided replacement parts and every badly wounded or represented another opportunity to discover just how much surgery and art could survive. Armageddon was perfect for Gratznik. War everywhere, lads or wounded orks and plenty of spare body parts. Well, gas go for the planet. Roxnik rummaged through the wreckage looking for the good patients and useful bits. Every arc was spare parts, every wreckage was scrap and every wounded get was another chance to find out how much surgery and art could survive.

This is just a little playground. He doesn't really have military goals. His goals are like he wants bodies to play around with and he'll go and raid and take bodies and whatever. He might go and raid a fortress and then just take the 50 bodies he's leaves and then leave the rest of the people there. He only needed 50 and they'll be scratching their head and why the fuck do you leave us? What the heck was that all about? It's all about the surgery for him. It's like the free boot or death. Free boot of death. Inning. Reviving. Yeah, very cool. Then he becomes a part of the great wog when gas kill starts that off. So when gas kill march away from Armageddon, Gratznik naturally followed because enormous wars produced enormous piles of extremely useful patients. He killed crushes his rival war bosses and absorbs their armies. Gratznik prowls through the carage casualties, enthusiastically selecting the most interesting survivors for further treatment.

Rival pain boys are especially valuable. Gratznik simply bullies them into becoming his or at least and those who object may reportedly receive the prestigious promotion to a brain bought. This involves removing the brains and putting them inside of the machine. Reserving their medical knowledge while eliminating the irritating problem of having an opinion. All this occurs amid the great green wall. The brainwalled the enormous galaxy spanning campaign unleashed by gas kill. It is the greatest orc wog seen in 8,000 years rivaled only by the legendary armies of the beast. The sheer numbers of orcs gathering around gas kill has begun producing catastrophic psychic effects across. The collective madness of countless mad boys has generated a psychic wave powerful enough to ripple through the galaxy. Every warp sense of the being in the Imperium can feel it. The immaterium shutters with the psychic noise of millions of orcs screaming, fighting, laughing and preparing for violence.

We're still the phenomenon acts as a giant beacon broadcasting one. He was this theable message across the stars. Gas kill is calling and every or capable of hearing him, him is coming. Gratznik naturally considers this wonderful news for his patience list. When I meet when gas kill left arm Academy, Gratznik followed because big wars mean lots of patience. As gas crashes rival war bosses, Gratznik picks through the casualties by the good specimens. Rival pain boys get forced into the brain orderlies. Who can planes get forced into the brain but the great wog, the great green wog, it's the biggest orc wog. Gratz turning into a man he's hitting puberty a little bit. But see how many of the other gratzion and their psychic noise it's spreading across the galaxy millions of orcs screaming, fighting, making wog shake.

And every warp sense of the get can feel it. It's like a great beacon calling every orc towards gas kill. Gratznik sees one thing more patience. Man, cool. So they've kind of changed gas kills more or maybe not changed more like advanced it quite a lot. I used to always complain like you're telling me the most famous orc in the galaxy can't even take one fucking planet of Armageddon. Like, oh big bad gas kill can't take that but like now he's actually going out into the galaxy and he actually is kind of like he's he's intentionally put Armageddon aside. And then he's trying to get his treasure in the first place in the caribou and now he has the great wog. It's like calling so many orcs it's creating almost like this tier and a. Yeah, it's I don't want to work. Yeah, it's becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. Because it's getting bigger more people are hearing about it because it's bigger which draws more orcs in because they know it's going to be the biggest fight.

Yeah, you know, snowball. Yeah, there's some great crumpling on Armageddon. So even if he didn't take the planet, yeah, he didn't take the planet, they were just you know, limbering up really. Yeah. And then this whole psychic beacon. That's pretty damn scary. Imperial psych is a feeling that. Yeah, like it just is one of those things now when psych is going to the to the to the war for whatever with their mind they're going to either hear a tear and it's orcs just yelling and screeching like it's just flooded with these violent hungry beings now. I mean, just imagine the discipline required. You've got weird British Cockney-esque accent, you know, screams just chance. You've got this weird biological screeching and all you're trying to do is like send a funny meme to your mate.

Yeah, just to be able to cut through all the chatter. Yeah, all of this is very. It's probably even worse for some of the telepast because they're also out there bus screaming because they can't get the message across. Another voice. And daddy's always yelling too. And then there's there also the possibility that it's in should might be trying to change the message whilst the project in it. And then when they're trying to learn them into the war. No slanish is probing you. Part of you. See the probing you are trying to lure you into some sort of sexy death crop. Either way I'm down. Sign me up. Great green log. Leave it to take it sexy slanish. Unless you get to Grotsnick first and he doesn't work on you and then you get the.

Who knows who knows unless perhaps actually it is ultimately a slanish trick because he wants to lure you to Grotsnick. So he turns you into in effect a living deal though. How wonderful. What a wonderful thought you've come up with. There you go. There we go. So let's move on rather. So. So, Primaris Marines. After the gr. That you can't do anything 40k without at least mentoring mentioning a Marine. After the great rift opened Grotsnick led pain boys cyborgs and modified killer cans in a salt upon us upon a silver template strike cruiser several primaries space rings would capture a lot of the time. Providing Grotsnick with enormous heavily armored specimens for experimentation. What happened next is best left medically unrecorded.

Oh the kit bashing. It's happening again. After the great rift opened Grotsnick led pain boys cyborgs and custom killer cans onto onto a silver template ship. The grabs and primaries led to life giving Grotsnick big arm a test subject. What happened next? I fit for the medical records. What do we think he got up to with these like do you think he was doing experiments on to like the primaries always he taken primaries parts and giving it to the orcs you know I think it's two ways to eat. Sure. I think going both ways. Yeah, I can imagine him taking like the brain stem of an orc and just implanting that in the primary spotty. I can also see taking the primaries gene seed components and trying to stick them in an out to.

Yeah, and then you get like orcs that are. Yeah, that could be there's definitely something there like if somebody really got created with another type of army like. Grotsnick has created a couple like stitch boys cyborgs and then whatever these primaries orcs could be or whatever there's couple great kit fashion concepts here. Perhaps he heard them being called primaries. And now he's trying to recreate primal. Oh yeah, okay, okay. Just just an idea might be a little too logical for Maddoq but I'm here for it. Who knows. Resurrection. After Ragnar Blackman killed gascule at Krunga Grotsnick was faced with an appalled medical problem. His favorite patient was dead working with bullets, Thurak a seconding command.

He resurrected McCarrie once again and explain that this was the same Gretchen who had served gascule before. McCarrie and Grotsnick despised each other naturally. Both understanding the profit needed for storage. They recovered gascule's cops were upon Grotsnick enthusiastically disembled it and bolted the pieces onto a gigantic suit of armor. This was not a surgery so much as a cult based engineering. Then Grotsnick activated a power generator suspended between the Ethereum and the Ethereum fire at a colossal beam of green lightning directly into the assembled remains. There was a fall in five chance the procedure would destroy half the planet. Grotsnick apparently considered this in acceptable complication. Somehow the operations exceeded gascule rose again considerably larger, considerably angrier,

and presuming the presumed late delighted to discover that his dark had once again had once more ignored every sensible medical dad one. I'm going to change the name here for the simple reason that they actually call ragdoll blackmail wolfie. The book that the what should have been a book based on this the didn't as an audio drama so a lot of people are willing to listen to it because there's sound effects and it kind of in a way does ruin it. But like all the scenes between gascule and red now because of wolfie kills his balls in batters in left right and center. He literally does actually kill ragdoll blackmail as well. It is like death for death.

It is a brilliant flight scene and I actually do recommend it. Yeah after after wolfie killed gascule at Korma got sneak any problem the boss was dead. He and bullets bought the carry back again because both new gascule neither fixing they found a cause then got sneak chopped gascule apart and bolted the bits into a giant suit. If I agree with wolf lightning through him from a generator between reality and the war there was an 80% chance it would blow after planet. Got sneak didn't care he worked some guys bull got back up and digger and angrier and ready for even more. That's so funny calls him wolfie. Yeah so that that fight was pretty cool. He liked it. It sounds fun. I just wish they didn't like primarisify everyone afterwards like you tell me everyone dies but then at the end we're still we have we still have living characters.

If I remember from when the book actually released at the time there was no primaris. Oh interesting it was actually killing off ragdoll blackmail. Whoa okay that makes things kind of wild. There's no there's not really many book and there's not a more modern book after that one of ragdoll being primaris but it is known that he is primaris. Yeah it's a bit of a weird one. Interesting. Yeah he was essentially killed off and brought back because he was the favourite space wolf but for a lot of people it's actually more preferred than Logan Grimner in the course of the game. As a guard player I don't like him. I don't like him in game he just destroys squads.

And I have had an entire 20 man creak squad destroyed by him. Just eat some. Yeah yeah yeah yeah. And I have to say Mark of course you clicked that picture. I was going to say my model. I wasn't going to give away anything to chat anyone to the listeners unless you're in the live chat. You know me though I can't help but rage at women I can't help it. There's another hardcore armageddon or a country on the topic of women that actually was pretty cool and I'll pull that up. Alright alright. Now we're talking. She got a point on a calm. Yeah and that's why she's strong enough to arm wrestle the boys. That's pretty cool. You're in fairness. They would make for great kiss. Yeah. And I love the fact that through pure madness and just drive for his own personal playground.

He actually undertook the surgery in spite of an 80% chance of catastrophic failure. Yeah. While it's so cool how that happens how like he's just literally channeling like orc energy and like. Yeah like so his gas kill soul in this orc energy and it gets pushed back in. Is this like a when you've reigned resurrected gillimond type situation where it's like you're pulling the. The soul's back on the work or is it literally that gas kill is just like the embodiment of orc energy and like. Yeah where it's like it doesn't matter. It doesn't really have a soul. It's just an orc doing orc things. So does that mean gas coal is the friends we made along the way. And that's not not really an arc anymore but an embodiment of the great green in an art body. So it's a he resurrecting it was not necessarily a soul but is like the personification of orc energy.

Yeah like I almost look at it this way like he's become. I don't want to use the word demon prince but I'll say a warp prince for gorken morgue. Yeah essentially yeah yeah yeah where it's like now function in mortal he's charged with just warp energy and stuff and like yeah. He's speaking to the gods directly he's their chosen profit like yeah he's kind of become this warp prince. I think we could come up with a better name for it than that but. Yeah just a warp being almost well he's not a warp being because then you're going down. Yeah. We'll figure something out. I'll think about it it's a fun concept though. I do like that this is kind of how that resurrection happened where it's and it wasn't just like a surgery or it wasn't just taken ahead and slapping on a different body and then zapping it with some electricity. It's sort of an fun and orc and cool too but this opens up a whole new like kind of world options.

Yeah it's a tribute to Frankenstein isn't it? Really yeah for sure. Well my dog's dog's Frankenstein and Gosswell's the beat of the monster it creates. Yeah. Which when you look at the the over all story of Frankenstein yeah kind of pretty much like he created something that he can't stop it to stop himself. And because he can't stop and he can't work on him to correct like the mistakes that he made. Crazy. Yeah. So that's kind of Maddox history there. His history is definitely tied with gas kill and even Murphy Mark or whatever. The carry. Macarie yeah yeah yeah yeah definitely tied heavily with those guys but he's got his own things. I love all these little different conversion ideas that we come up with. His war band would just be so characterful and unique and like.

Oh, andish. Yeah absolutely. Well, uh, carry on and dive into his personality. Got Nick is a grotesquely enthusiastic violently unstable and deeply unsettling pain boy who approaches medicine with getty excitement of an orc discovering a particularly interesting bit of machinery. Fascinated by pain surgery and autonomy and experimentation with absolutely no concern for consent or conventional medical ethics to groxnik screaming is encouraging blood is information and death is merely an irritating interruption to a procedure. But he has manic behavior lies a frightening degree of confidence because his methods however horrifying have produced repeated results. What's Nick is the maddest, happiest pain boy around a loves pain cotton and experimenting and dragon where nobody asked him to scream in means to surgery is working blood means his learning and been dead just means the patient stop cooperating his methods of bonkers but they do work often enough to keep him confident.

I love that death is just an inconvenience just an interruption just like now I got his app them and go back to it whatever. Yeah and it's because he does just see death as just this. It's not a thing. Yeah. You know it's just another process is like jumpstarting your car you know it's become this other to win which I suppose probably feeds into his complete willingness to just 80% chance the world's going to blow up. I'll bring everything back. What's death anyways? Yeah exactly. Just this idea of he died again for crying out loud this is the fifth time today. All I'm trying to do is take out his entire inside what the heck. When you think about it though in a way got snake has become a non walk got he can resurrect people even though he is using some sort of war furniture to do so he's not a walk being being himself but he's creating life is resurrecting people like.

Do you think maybe he has some kind of like I know all orcs have latent psychic abilities and stuff but do you think he's maybe tapped into that a little bit more to be able to direct warf energy and like into his patients or. Well it if messing with the brain has created a bigger connection for gas goes to the wall and to the gods potentially. He might be he might have opened himself up to the creation side of the gods where gas goes opened up to the wall side. Yeah yeah that's interesting. Yeah because they are quite literally like channeling energy it used to be like is he hearing from gorken work we don't know but like it's confirmed like he is channeling log energy all this stuff. And who's to say that the ideas that he gets for these surgeries are not passed down to him from gorken work anyway because the repeat of the success was for some reason it could be the gods channeling through him.

You can also they have equal also they're profit of the gods. Yeah and kind of coming full circle to mad dog to grotsnik gas goal was a project. Yeah so is gas coal actually the puppet in the figurehead grotsnik was the original. That actually had that first link with gorken more. Yeah yeah so who's controlling who McCarrie does have that sorry actually. He's in dog. Tomic comical side cannon. Eventually creates 20 ox like like gas goal and set himself as the emperor of all kind. They will be my fighters against the darkness. Yeah okay yeah so appearance.

This is a heavily augmented augmented or these body resembles the aftermath of several extremely enthusiastic surgical experiments. His flesh is covered with scars crude graphs biotics metal plates tubes and various pieces of medical equipment. While his enormous mechanical saw and surgical tools are as much weapons as they are instruments. Every part of his appearance suggests that grotsnik has treated his own body as another patient replacing modifying and improving whatever he found interesting. I will try that one again and improving whatever he found interesting he looks less like a doctor and more like a walking operat operating theater that has developed homicidal tendencies. He is both Franken's doctor Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster. Yeah similar to him.

So grotsnik looks like a doctor operating room got late and decided to murder people. He is covered in scars biotics metal plates tubes graphs and medical guvans. His sources surgical tools are also weapons while his body shows how much fixing he's done to himself. Oh grotsnik and here we come to my great thing about grotsnik that I hate and it's as moral. He needs an update. This model is fucked. I don't even think it was ever a good model too is kind of the problem with him. He's got this weird awkward pose like. I've shown a couple other conversions or third parties that people have done. This one's a great one.

Yeah. From Stone Monkey. But then there's this one and this one's a lot harder to do. This is the kit bash and I'll get bash is for grotsnik man. Yeah that is pretty sweet. Like you even compare it to the new pain boy and the new pain boy to me just that. It's just more grotsnik than the grotsnik model in my head. Yeah and like he is old but like I said he wasn't even a cool model back in the day so he needs that update. But yeah there's so many cool pain bosses now I think there's this pain boss and then the armageddon also came with the new pain boy as well. Yeah. Yeah the new pain boss is pretty sweet. Yeah. So yeah there's lots of options to kind of do something new. I would like to point out that is a grot in surgical time. There we go we found them. Thank you.

Holding that bone saw like it's his best friend. Love it. The thing that kind of disappointed me is you only get one orderly with it. But the armageddon. I'm going to last literally long enough. The armageddon models do actually go on preorder as separate and it is next week so I'm made by a couple just so we like the. One pain boy. It's got like viral models. So I'm quite lucky. Yeah so I'm quite lucky so my other half she's gone gone into walks so naturally I bought the armageddon box. I don't have space brains but a friend of mine he wanted the space brain half so I traded that away. So now I also have an armageddon half of orcs just because I think the models are fantastic. So I'm going to be able to have the freedom of not having an army or having a use for them. But I can convert them I can paint them up fun.

And this is just giving me some great ideas. Yeah nice. I look at this guy. His little belly legs. I essentially got like pretty much got a little bit of tax back from work. So I use that to buy a second box. Nice. That's still a lot of love but we're getting there to start. Yeah. Between the two boxes that were not to give me like 15 hundred points of both orcs and blood angels. And then I made the space for the angels with tonics and things. Let's carry on with his philosophy. Gratznik's philosophy can be reproduced to a single principle. Everything can be fixed improved replaced our experiment upon.

He does not view the art body as something sacred or even a particular permanent limbs can be swapped. Organs can be upgraded. Rains can be relocated. And even death can apparently be a challenge if Gratznik has enough spare parts. It's officially dangerous equipment. It's great strength is in his complete refusal to accept that something cannot be done. Where another pain by season did or Gratznik sees a medical problem that has not yet been solved. Gratznik records everything can be fixed improved swapped or experimented on. Lames, organs, brains, even death itself are just problems waiting for a solution. Where another pain by season did or Gratznik sees a patient who haven't been fixed properly yet. Nice. Yeah. And with that death scale clan mentality, everything is on the operating table.

You think he occasionally paints his medical equipment blue just for extra looking case when it's like something is a little worried about. Yeah, yeah. He's got like his blue handled scalpel. We're like, yeah. Like the orderly grub passes him a scalpel just a normal scalpel. And then it's like it is an important surgery. No, pass me the blue one. And with it being gratznik, it won't do that. Well, it's being gratznik, it would literally be a killer grub and then shout out another one. Yeah, bring him the blue one takes the wrong scalpel, shoves it in his eye. Chopped his nose, kicks him down the stairs. And then parts of the eye where the nose was and the nose where the eye was. Yeah, sounds about right. Nice.

Gratznik possesses exceptional knowledge of work, anatomy, surgery, cybernetics, biological modification. Although his techniques are so cruel that calling them the conventional medicine would be generous. He can repair catastrophic injuries and hood biotics perform extension. Extensive grafting, construct cyborgs and create bizarre biological experiments such as the stitch boys. More extraordinary. He, extra ordinarily, he appears capable of manipulating the strange relationship between the orcs, the warp and death, helping resurrect Makari and ultimately restoring gas kill himself. Combined with his immense physical strength and savage combat ability, gratznik is therefore both a terrifying battlefield surgeon and a remarkably dangerous warrior. We keep hearing about him being like a good warrior and fighter and stuff and like that's almost his new passion. But I think that's more just the means to the end. You got to be that good warrior so you can get the new body so you can get new better parts for your body so you can be a bigger warrior so you can get new and bigger parts for your body.

Yeah, absolutely. What's nicknows or canalmy surgery is born and grafted better than most pain boys. He repairs terrible wounds, build saw borgs and makes stitch boys and performs experiments. Nobody's sensible water temp. He's also somehow learned enough about orcs, the warp and death to bring back Makari and even gas kill on top of that is a brutal fire. Yeah, yeah. I would love to see a short story even just a little excerpt of gratznik in a fight. Not even you know background just how he's fighting for some real description of you know how he's going to be wailing about and I can just picture him also just like he chops off an arm and then just takes a look at it and like nods to a gratz. He's called to a gratz to grab it as he's fighting. You know he's creating college.

Yeah, he's creating carnage but he's seeing the opportunity within carnage. Yeah, yeah. And you can almost make it artistic and you know it's his own madness and he's in his own world. But to him there's sense in it. Yeah, like he sees that limb across the battlefield and he's like, oh that's a nice limb. I got to get all the way over there to get that limb. Yeah, sure. There used to be a show in the UK called Scrap Heap Challenge massive throwback to 90s kids and naughty kids. And basically they went to a junkyard and they had to build something two teams but they had to build say a catapult, a hovercraft. But they could only use stuff from the junkyard and it was all it's sort of that I want that part there that will be perfect for what I need. That would be a great rudder and I'm just imagining that sort of beeline. I want that bit for my next project. I use some of that show.

Oh, it's great. Mentor is great. You minute. This is it and some of them did look rather awkish. Oh, yeah. Maybe while too fighting him because like he's got all these like weird syringes and stuff. So maybe he just pricks you with a needle and then you explode through like high blood pressure. Who knows what he's putting in those dirty syringes but you don't want to get pricked by them. I can give you the good news that the stab the Grokson book. There is like a fight scene with him fighting a squig and awks and also something. It's a really good book. I'd recommend it. Nice. So we've spoken about it quite a bit. All Korean carnation is one of the stranger consequences of the green skin's bizarre connection to the walk, suggesting that death may be little more than a tempering medical inconvenience for some of them. The most famous example is Makari who is died repeatedly only to return in new bodies retaining the same identity and memories.

Rather than simply rebuilding a corpse, Groksonik appears capable of helping restore an awk's existence through methods that blur the boundary between biology, psychic energy and the immaterium. Whether this is a genuine reincarnation, the all collective psychic field forcing reality to cooperate or some secret of Gorkham Mork that Groksonik has accidentally learned when it remains uncertain. What makes it truly disturbing is that Groksonik may not fully understand it himself. He may simply have discovered that if an awk is dead, you can sometimes find him again, put him in another body and loudly declare that the operation is a success. Awk's got a strange relationship with death and Makari proves it. He keeps dying and coming back in new bodies, still knowing who he is. Groksonik seems able to help this happen, though whether he understands how is another man.

Maybe it's the walk, maybe it's Gorkham Mork, or maybe Groksonik's just finds cramped awk's and tells him to get up. You are dead. It's the f***ing. Or it just gets up. It was always a running joke that, like, what was we were in, if the RS Regimental Sergeant Major came round after you just dropped down dead, you would immediately stand to attention and run half mile. If he says you are alive, you are very much alive. Yes, I'm sorry. Absolutely. I don't know how the ork resurrection works, but it definitely works. There's a lot of factions we've given Flack for where it's like, I don't know if I like Yanari faction and how they bring stuff back from the dead. It feels like they've taken away any sense of loss or like,

they just come back and there's a couple of things that can kind of do that. I don't know, the ork one, it's definitely a fun way to reincarnate. However they're doing, it doesn't really matter. I just feel like, yeah, all of the reincarnations out there, they kind of hit it nicely. I've said it before, I quite enjoy law where they do leave it open-ended. Especially for the ork's, it's so fitting. I understand how a lot of the ork stuff works. No one really. Not a lot of ork philosophers out there. There is ork comedies, don't get me wrong. He's the only one and all he's actually philosophizing about is why the hell he's there. But yeah, I mean, leaving it open-ended, you can add your own spin, which can lead to all sorts. It means further stories down the line, further law, and different plots. You could get a pain boy that starts thinking he's getting a bit big for his boots and things.

I think he's doing it this way. And then that can snowball. And then you can get a new character and, you know, yeah, I definitely like it for sure. Definitely. I'm going to post my reason in Discord later, but I am actually quite surprised we haven't seen resurrection in chaos. You see it sometimes, like, car in the betrayer can't die. Orkorn does resurrect him. So what I mean is I know that the gods can't resurrect. But it is viable that Abaddon could actually protect people's spirits when they die. Yeah. Because one of the titles that Abaddon has is actually Commander of demons. So he literally could command the demons to leave the souls alone when they're not at the war.

You know, for someone to gather the soul and put it back in a body. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, maybe, yeah, there definitely is some room there for some soul crushing, or pushing into other bodies like, yeah, dark rituals and stuff. Yeah, there could be a little bit more of it there for sure, but let's go to Gratis X Warrior and wrap this up. Mad Dog Gratis next carries an arsenal that looks less like military equipment and more like components of a deranged operating theatre that have been weaponized. His warrior serves dual purpose, allowing him to butcher enemies, repair Orkorn, perform horrifying experiments and modify himself wherever inspiration strikes. Almost every tool is equal capable of saving alive or anyone depending on the entire on which of Gratis X table you happen to be standing.

What sneak carries enough source syringes, drills, claws and other medical grimmings to outfit and hold operating room. Everything can fix it or hurt an enemy or become part of some new equipment. We've got sneak you never know when the tool in his hand is going to see real life or any. One of these tools is the slugger and Gratis X slugger is accrued or can gun used when he needs to shoot something rather than immediately cut it open. Naturally, as low concerned for the target survives the experience. The slugger lets Gratis next shoot gets when he is aim got time for gotten them open where they survive ain't really his problem. He's also got his power claw and it's a massive mechanical claw capable of crushing armor or tearing enemies apart performing considerably less conventional surgical procedures. In Gratis next hands it is both a devastating weapon and an extremely alarming medical instrument.

The power claw clashes armor and ribs enemy apart. Gratis nick also uses it for surgery which is probably worse. I've got the image of him like cracking open one of those live primaries like a lobster. With that with that power claw just like cracking the shell. Let's have a look inside. Slurping out the insides a little bit. All right chopping a boy and half and throwing him to a bite or attach a wheel to almost something. Yeah. I don't need to tell pay. I don't need to tell pay. I only need the bottom. So docs tools, Gratis next docs tools are a collection of sauce drills, clamps, needles, syringes and other instruments designed for performance. They can repair catastrophic injuries, replace body parts or inflict them. Often with Gratis nick deciding which purpose applies only after the operation begins.

Sores, drills, needles, clamps and syringes make up Gratis nick docs tools. They fix wounds, swap body parts or make new ones depending on his mood. The earthy syringe is a tool that can be used for the first time in a year. The earthy syringe is a gigantic syringe designed to deliver whatever unpleasant concoction Gratis nick happens to have prepared. Whether it contains medical medicine, stimulants, poison or something that should never have been liquefied. The recipient generally discovers its content immediately after the needle enters. The earthy syringe pumps whatever nasty stuff Gratis nick is cooked up into a patient. Medicine, poison or something nobody should drink. You find out where the needle goes in. Fuck. Yeah, you again, Jack did and you just then Jackson and Terry liquefied human into your body?

I was going to say like you're a poor guardsman on arm again and your battle buddy has just been injected into you. Now we're together forever. Thanks, Gratis nick. We've also got the snout lingans. He probably injects a few of those too, right? Yeah. Yeah. Little like like almost like microscopic squigs into you. They're just like each of bloodstream out like fuck. Oh, that's almost along the lines of some of those parasites as well from the three of them. Oh, that's. But the problem is though, like this is it the snout gun that launches them like into things like they're not actually small. Like they're about our our head. So like when they emerge from someone it is like a full face is emerging from their body.

It's really creepy. They're not just looking at Jackson. They don't go full size. Squish him down a little bit. I mean, he's also probably liquefied the table that was stolen earlier as well. Yeah, just it was in the way. Yeah. Yeah. That is a lot. Yeah. So it's also got the cyborgs. Well, Nick cyborg. Body represents his extensive use of cybernetic augmentations replacing and reinforcing parts of his already battered up for the old jute with machinery. It makes the mad dog considerably harder to kill, which is unfortunate considering how often it appears to test that durability himself.

Well, snake cyborg body replaces bits of him with machinery making him tougher and harder to kill. He sometimes it seems determined to test exactly how hard he is to kill. Brain bots brain bots grow technical constructs associated with cross mix habit for the rest of the day. The brain's a knowledge of unbarg'ding at pain boys who have displeased him. They allow grass and it to retain useful medical expertise was reducing the troublesome individual attached to the expertise to a little more than a component in his laboratory. Brain bots keep the brain and medical knowledge of pain boys. Well, I think don't want to go around anymore. The dog keeps the useful bits and gets rid of the troublesome personality. Nice. That's pretty fun. He's in effect.

He's made an all-com memory card. And like it's nice. You don't even need a lot of like room for storage. It's not a lot of data. You got a store ultimately for work. The thing is, he could actually like graph these brain bits on two crops. But he knows that they're all a bunch of sneaky little shits and it's not a good idea. See, I'm imagining like a PlayStation 2 memory card. Yeah, nice. Like every now and again, like grotsick, it's a bit fuzzy on his memory for an operation. He pulls it out, just blows down it, just sticks it back in. So kind of like the kind of like call with the memory banks. But it's just like this pulsing mass of brain matter. You have a very wet, just flooding brains and jars. It's funny when you think about it that each faction seems to have a character that is very comparable to another one.

Because it's like you can compare Grotsonic to Fabius Bial or Carl. You could compare him to some of the group carry. The whole host that are very, very linked. And the funny thing is the fact that this kind of the comical presence of the whole universe has the worst one. It's like a combination of all those other ones. So you get flesh crafting, you get some like bizarre experiments. You get experiments only for the sake of experiments. Like you get them all in this work. He grows his own art flesh replacement. And literally has like it stretched over him. That's one way to do it. I'm honestly surprised that like with the Grotsonic book they didn't like update the model.

Because like at the start of it is all like patchwork. And it's got like bright green skin and like pale faded skin that's dying. And then like it throws himself in an acid lake and does all the skin stuff in the replaces it like with that grown up flesh. Which all the arcs that see it the look at it and the know instantly there is not been naturally grown. And they all feel it's weird. Like looking at like the look at the skin and then feel weird they all get the hibis. Which actually is an art term which is fucking great. It's the idea of all of the things that Grotsonic does. That's the weird one. It's the natural light. Like because it's not natural they're like sends that it's not natural because it's like synthetic fun.

Yeah. They do farm and do things like that. So it's not as if the idea of culturing things to print and goal is foreign to them. But I suppose a to an extent it's much like the Imperium with cloning. Yeah, it's just not right. Yeah, there's just something off. Something not right about it. Yeah. Yeah, I think we get a new model for him one day. Doesn't look do you think you'll get a model with all these new work drops that are coming out here or. Yeah, I think they've got to do it. Really. And with it being on the head. I think to be honest we would like 12 years being the last one is due an update. Yeah, definitely. They did. They did. It's in that cycle. I dare say they'll probably time it with the code X.

Code X is due fairly soon. Code X goes on pre other next week. Okay. So I yeah, they might. And with the. Nazarig update model. It also does put like an aspect within this edition. That would be a drop to make up. But it's a little bit more than one another. Yeah, no. No, because I'm not entirely certain. Didn't Nasdrak get leaked in a way through the new total wall game that they're developing. People saw him. Kind of. They realized who he was. A lot of people realize he was going to feature in that game from the trailers. The may one of the main characters technically in Donald law Yeah, so it was it was a Room that there was gonna be a model and everyone's like oh well now he's gonna be in two games It kind of like essentially is confirmed and then finally the we are we later

She to be announced they were bringing out a model. Yeah Man, I have not seen all these orc minis I haven't been looking at it or anything, but they're so fucking tight. They really changed the whole range around Like I feel like they they took their posture a little more serious and made them look a little more like Like they're still comical, but there's a little less of the comickness to it. I Think it's almost leaning towards their scary Their culture and their belief system is comical and the voices and how they behave is comical But it's that Oh, it's scary. Yeah, yeah, but you're Bumping into that at night screaming war It's one of the comical things, you know, I like how a lot of people are very upset to roll the law The change with the perception of people When it comes to ox actually is a benefit

Because you've got people that now see the comical side of it But also put a serious spin on it and like sort of likes to meant that law in as like the perfect advancement of it and It really works nicely where you'll get some Some changes from like a fan basis where not everyone enjoys it But like the way that fans have Sort of like forced the evolution of ox being taken more seriously as worked out great for the model aspect of it Like we're seeing so many nice Models coming out and even like certainly like GW kind of struggle with ox at the moment because There I'm having to compete with 3D sculptures that are making models that they don't make and they can't really pull them down That one As easily as they could Yeah, it's like I was saying to my like I've found some amazing mark and go I cannot

3D prints like early and like if GW made these everyone would swarm over them and it's something that they really missed and it's like There's the The big cardboard one I Found a plastic version of it that someone was designed for 3D printers And like I'd so go for I'd happily spend like a couple of hundred on that because it's a huge model. Don't get me wrong So I had happily spend a couple hundred plastic over cardboard Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. I do think when they read it gas girl that was that start To make Aught less comical in the Real like that could be an actual being It took that cut. Yeah Yeah, like if you looked at like the old mega knobs are like these like Like lumbering like can barely even move their arms up and down things

But then yeah, they definitely took it into a different direction. Yeah, that's a good kind of Dividing line there that you've drawn One thing I will note as well just Reacous conversation the new release boys all have nipples Yeah, so they do have that look Okay, so we can have nipple but oh we can have nipple belts. Thank the Lord. So I'm gonna throw out another kit bash challenge Someone makes Grotesnick with a nipple belt Mm-hmm Yeah, that's lower friendly Yeah, the works of street man like they're they're pretty fucking rowdy all these models. Yeah, holy shit That's an a OS, but I like him still And I want him to be come home with me And actually that that's one you could probably easily convert it that's not hard Yeah, yeah, yeah

Very cool. Well, I fucking love a good orc episode. I've never really collected orcs too much I've never done an orc army. They're always one of those ones where it's like I love fighting on my love that lore I just never really got around to it, but maybe one day. There's a lot of fucking cool workminis now Mm-hmm and like now that you don't got that weird like orc boy posture I know those orc boys just seem so bizarre to me man, but yeah Yeah, I Have a few squads of the previous sculpts of boys and some of the new ones and the new ones look so nice Even the fixed bar ones from the Armageddon box and I am tempted to look at getting some of the new ones that have just released because they're not Fixed pose apparently are they not meant to be so we'll see and Waited to see actually some of the building. I'll decide afterwards, but I Yeah, we almost need to come up with like a name for the old orc boys like

Like it's like it's all in kind of variation of orc Hedge back works or something like Man, well, I know they're so old that they hunched over there we go Boys, oh boys there we go That's that's because orcs are smart enough not to have their head above their shoulders That is actually one of the books Humus is stupid because they have their head above their shoulders and it's easy to hit whereas orcs don't Just wait till they find out where we keep our genitals. Oh There are that that isn't something that's mentioned The new book in that block of the book Because they get the human are getting in fact to buy gene Steelers and it's like Like and then the the humans make more that are infected with gene Steelers and the Beast Snuggle boys like how do they make mine is like you don't want to know it's disgusting and even worse when gene

When skin thieves are involved because that's what they call a gene stealer skin thieves I will just be that guy Because of marksmanship principles generally speaking when you aim at target you aim center mass So the orcs heads being around about the center of mass For current standards But no I love that's such an all thing though yet the Umeasers do because I can dock you on the head easily It's actually kind of funny because one of that the orcs abuse of humans is they use more words because they got too stupid to Understand things without the extra words Why use more word when less word do Which I kind of think it's like why word a little dig

The American version of English versus English Because a lot a lot of the spellings have what has taken out because of the press or which are doing for letters in print So it kind of evolved into itself language and You know a lot of the Americans go why the fuck do you put the extra letters when it makes sense without them? Which he does yeah Well any other thoughts on Mad doc pain boys or works anything I Really want to make some stitch boys Yeah, I'm in I'm really worried cyborgs. Yeah, I'm orcs even yeah, I mean I'm not making the same mistake is like the last eight episodes or whatever it is Where I've turned around I want to start this army now. I've got some orcs. I have a whole army. I'm not doing another whole army

Yeah, yeah, yeah, what you want to do is Well, what's that new scale that the the brought out which are basically Once you get to one three K army it becomes a second one Apocalyptic battles that's what it is Apocalypse yeah, and There's no limit to how much how far you extend that apocalypse army as long as it's within sets of 3000 And that's where I'm going with the creek 21,000 dogs 20 with thousand dogs Very cool. Well, I think what are we up to here two 49 the next episodes a tiering in episode and then we're doing Thousand Sun so stay tuned there's always another episode of lore hammer. Thanks for hanging out and we'll see you all in the next one
