4:07And I'm TJ Holmes, and they got to do some of the US Open. This is not okay. It was the latest finish in the history of the US Open, the latest ever. Thrilling, exciting, loved watching it. But why was it on when I woke up at 2.30 and still had another hour going? That is outrageous. Okay, this is, it was thrilling. Ben Shelton is the new, biggest star in tennis, and he's dating somebody we love as well. They're adorable, right? Yes. Trinity Rodman. If you don't know, Ben Shelton is the highest ranking US men's tennis player, and he's now dating Trinity Rodman. Yes, Dennis Rodman's daughter. And not that she wants to be known by that because she's a star in and of her own right as an amazing soccer player. But just seeing the two of them hurt shearing him on, but yeah, no one else got to see it, except for you, because you're crazy and you get up at an insane time of the day. But for folks who had to stay up late, what's their day like today? Eight, five set tie break that ended at around, I think 3.30 is 3.45 is it? That's what it looked like on the clock when I saw the video.

5:07But what time did they start playing? They didn't start until a little after 11, I think it was. But this is a problem. Rye Robe's, we have so many stars in tennis, and they want to give them the privilege of playing under the big lights at Arthur Ashe. But you got too many stars, and they're scheduling it. Robe's Venus played her match, started after midnight one night. That's not okay. So it's not okay. They'll figure this out later. Some Wimbledon has a curfew. We don't play past 11 p.m., right? It's just, we got to figure this. We got boundaries. Yes, but Ben Shelton, look him up if you don't know him. He is the darling now of American tennis period after what he did last night. That's a great story. Just wish more people could have seen it. Could have seen it. But yes, good morning to you on this Wednesday morning. We got a bunch of stops to make today. We're going to Illinois, Massachusetts. We're going to the Canadian liquor shelves up north. We're going to make a stop in Iran and Miami and South Carolina and Hawaii. Got to make a stop in divorce court as well. And we're going to make a stop at the airport.

6:08And you're going to be able to go further into the airport without a ticket than you have in 25 years. Well, there are some people. Our kids never had this experience flying. They don't know that you used to be able to walk your loved one to their gate. Only when they watch rom coms from the 90s. Because there was always that mad dash to the gate where yes, he stops her from getting on that plane and they finally kiss. That used to be a thing. Yeah, it's like something like nostalgic in the movies. They've never actually seen it in real life. But this is kind of interesting that it is coming back. We'll get into that. But roped let's start. I guess with two American wars. One with lob and bombs. Another one where we're lob and tariff. So let's start there. Give you a quick update here on the two current wars that the U.S. is involved in. Yes. We'll begin with Iran and the U.S. military saying it destroyed five Iranian oil tankers overnight. And yes, this is the latest in this week's uptick in fighting the Pentagon says those strikes were in retaliation for Iran firing on a U.S.

7:12warship. So Iran then responded to the latest U.S. Strikes by targeting U.S. assets in Jordan. We have gotten word from the U.S. at least that know American servicemembers were injured or killed in these attacks. But again, with all this going on, a reminder, according to the president, there are no talks going on between the U.S. and Iran. And as all this is going on, who has been a while, Rose, but we are knocking on the door of a hundred dollar a barrel oil. Once again, that just lets you know what investors think about what's going on. Yes. And that just translates to even higher gas prices. So that comes usually shortly thereafter. In the meantime, though, next up on the run, this speaking of higher prices, the U.S. trade war with Canada continues to go in the wrong direction. The U.S. fired another financial shot at Canada announcing bans on almost all Canadian alcohol as well as motorcycles and some dairy products. Yeah, this is in place now in addition to the 50% tariffs that went into effect last month. Canada just responded to those tariffs this week by imposing its own tit for tat tariffs

8:14on American goods. This thing is not slowing up. So I guess it's up to Canada to make the next move. Okay. Next up on the run, investigators today plan to interview the pilots of the Amazon cargo plane that overshot the runway in Miami on Sunday. That plane skidded off the runway hit several vehicles and five people were killed. And we're just getting word from the NTSB that actually they believe the pilots might have tried to abort the landing just before touchdown for some reason. So something was wrong. That suggests and they knew something wasn't right and tried to do a like a go around yeah, and landing and didn't happen. So the investigators say the thrusters the thrust reversers I should say they're supposed to slow down a plane during landing were never deployed. Which would explain why it skidded off the runway. Yeah, I'll run the CBS also reporting. We talked to someone who was on the ground that who encountered the pilots who are like trying to make a phone call or something was talking to someone and said my career is over. Oh yeah, CBS is reporting that they actually heard the pilots say that my career is over

9:19to someone who's on the phone with. Wow. All right. And yes, five people killed in that accident. That is the real tragedy. Next up on the run, an Illinois mom who police say was invested in the Lindsey Clancy trial made her first court appearance yesterday in the death of her two year old. We're talking about 40 year old Corey Walsh, a mom of four charged with first degree murder. But her defense says she was like Clancy experiencing a psychotic episode when she killed her son. Walsh's older children returned from school last week. They got home to find their little brother hanging from the rafters in the basement while she was discovered by a neighbor in a bathtub attempting to harm herself. She also had an infant in the house at the time that was found unharmed. And the new information wrote to guy from the hearing yesterday that she told investigators that she actually wanted to poison her husband as well who was out of town at the time. I didn't realize as well. I think it found drinks and pills on a countertop.

10:22So like, maybe she was trying to do that. Roads. It's really disturbing. She also believed, according to police on the scene that she had already killed her other children. So thankfully that hadn't happened. But her next court date is on September 24th. If you're interested in the story, the episode before this, we gave a full detailed episode on what happened in that court hearing. And it is chilling and has all the connections to Lindsey Clancy in such an eerie scary way. All right. And speaking of Lindsey Clancy, well, next up on the run, jurors from the trial are talking. And it is riveting. They confirmed, yes, it was 11 to 1 in favor of finding Lindsey Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity. So we're hearing this now from three jurors, including the jury four person sat down with an interview with a local Boston TV station. They called the one holdout juror, Aaron. Said he had admitted at one point that he was had some reasonable doubt but refused to

11:25vote their way. They also said, Roads, it wasn't always 11 to 1. They had to actually convince three people to come over to their side. We haven't heard, again, the loan holdout juror. We don't know who that is. How long are the jurors' names information kept private? They're not allowed to release for a certain amount of time. That's maybe? That I don't know. But yes, a decent amount of time to separate some of the emotion from the outcome. But everyone has referred to that juror as a he, a him. So we know it's a man. Oh, yeah. That's all we know. But we're going to be doing a much deeper dive on this episode. Oh, my God. I think it's the one after this. We're going to put it up. And to everything those jurors said. So if you were as invested in the, as in the trial as we were, this will be must here podcast. The, the prosecution fumbled the case from their opening statement according to these jurors. Roads, I was saying to you, I was listening to them this morning. I kept yelling across the table to you every time. I said, you're going to be validated.

12:27They thought just like you, you're not going to believe this. Everything. And having women on that jury. We all like I did. Just from what you told me, it was basically any woman who's been a mom who has felt overwhelmed, just connected with Lindsey Clancy. And these jurors felt the exact same way. It is shocking. How bad a job according to these jurors, the prosecution did on their case. Wow. To the point they're offended by how they behaved in parts of it. Yeah. Listen to the episode after this is going to be great. All right. Next up on the run, Patrick Clancy is officially upset and tired of folks calling him a killer. That is understandable. And he's now even threatened legal action against the people spreading all of those conspiracy theories online. If you go on to TikTok, you put Patrick Clancy in the search, you will see nonstop influencers asserting claiming they know with all the reasons that they give that Patrick Clancy

13:28is actually the person who killed those three kids, not Lindsey Clancy. That's a warrant. Not only do they go after Patrick, they go after his new wife, Rachel as well. They won't accept anything else. They won't accept. And they're taking little things, Rob. Little nuggets of truth and turning them into big smoking guns. And it is so unfair what's happening to them. We haven't heard from him. He testified. He was the first witness for the prosecution in this trial. So that was a month and a half ago at least we saw him, but as attorney released a statement saying he has no choice but to come out publicly about this campaign of misinformation that has been launched and promoted by minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists who appear intent on boosting their own social media profiles and potential profit by publishing what they know to be outright falsehoods. Rob, that's to think that folks are doing this to get clout or to build followers or to get it. Right? It works. And that's why they're doing it. Just drawing this back.

14:29Yes, because there are real people, human beings who have real feelings whose lives are actually being destroyed by their lies. And so yes, he writes through his attorney enough is enough, this spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop. Those responsible should understand that there will be consequences and every appropriate measure will be pursued to hold them accountable, including legally law enforcement has been notified. I don't know what you can do and if they have it, but this is different from you not just it says it's just a definite, up basic, life. He can get death threats. Yes, it's other level that's being brought to him because of what people are saying. It's amazing, maybe. And both of the things you just showed me this morning, his wife, now Israel and- They're going after her because she looks Jewish. Because she looks Jewish. I mean, it's bad, babe. It's really awful what's going on to that family. That new family, they have a child now. We don't know anything about her background, but yes, they are. They are pointing to and saying she looks Jewish.

15:29So therefore she's this and now free palace time and going through all it's it's a minute. She's an infertility specialist. She helps people. It really is sad and completely disgusting. And I don't know if they have any actual legal recourse, but I hope they find it because it's it's it. Those folks should be held accountable. All right. We continue on the run here now. We'll turn to an update on Alex Murda, his new trial. New trial is going to be in a new location in an attempt to find a fair and impartial jury a judge yesterday ordered that the retrial take place in a neighboring county about 80 miles from the original trial back in 2023. Yeah, 80 miles away. They probably haven't heard a thing about this case. Should be fine. There's nowhere in this country where he could find a panel of jurors that hadn't heard or haven't a formed opinion about this case. Maybe fewer people in that county know the family because it's right. His family has been an effort. So maybe that's the case. But yes, the original trial was in 2023 who's found guilty of killing his wife and son. That verdict was thrown out earlier this year because of jury interference by the clerk,

16:31clerk. I can't talk court clerk. And so this new trial is scheduled for next April. A reminder though he is behind bars right now awaiting this new trial. And he will be behind bars regardless of the verdict of this trial for the next four decades. Yes, financial crimes. Financial crimes. All right. Next up on the run, Hurricane Lowell did a number on Hawaii. Tens of thousands of people still without power as of this morning. The storm made a pass early yesterday and most of the watches and warnings have expired. But there continues to be a threat of flooding and mudslides. They just received a ton of wet weather, two feet of rain in some places. That is hard to get your head around 24 inches of rain. So it did a tremendous amount of damage to folks living on the island. All right. We will be with us on this Wednesday morning run when we come back. And now I'm panicking that maybe I don't. Okay, Lori Loughlin, as we were talking about, we can pronounce her name. She has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 30 years designer, Misemo Janouli. Okay. And you say we can pronounce her name? Is it Laughlin or Locklin? I thought it was Locklin. I don't know. There was always a debate about that during the height of all of this scandal when it came to getting kids into college, her two kids into college, specifically. Yes, the full house star has cited irreconcilable differences in her filing.

22:43And it comes after a year-long separation. I'll be honest, I thought they were already divorced. Oh, wow. So you remembered the separation. Absolutely. I mean, that was, yes, that was hard to survive that scandal. Yes, and they were at the center of the 2019. Admission scandal pleaded guilty to conspiracy paid $500,000 to get their kid into USC. They actually fake the photos. A scholarship, right? Yeah, they fake the photos of them being in crew, right? Was it in? Okay. Yes. And so like, they literally closed their children in those girls in like crew. Oh my God, it's terrible. Both of them got several months in prison, but now, yes, both of them will get their freedom from one another. Wow. 27 years though, anytime that's an investment. That's that. Yeah, I hate to hear that. I asked you this morning, at one point, you came in and I said, I added the Laurie Loughlin thing, she should have been there. You said, yeah, that's, that's worthy. After we went through this, I'm like, maybe I shouldn't have. We can't pronounce anybody's name. We're trying to recall. We just fumbled our way through this thing.

23:45You get the, you get the gist though. You get the idea. Okay. And for, this is, this is actually one of my favorite stories of the day. It might be my favorite story of the day. We didn't have a lot of fun ones. So for the final leg on the run, the TSA is going to, once again, allow you to see your sweetie off at the actual gate. You can go through and I think about kids too. Like, I always hated it when I was saying goodbye to Annalise and she was going back to college or she was going to study abroad. I always had to say goodbye at the gate. If I could have gone with her, hung with her, had a last little meal, you said, yeah, you said, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, say, at the TSA gate. Yeah. To be able to actually take your, I actually feel like when your kids are flying off on their own, that's nice to be able to go in with them and, not just sweet. Not just sweet. You get, we always travel together. When's the last time I've said goodbye to you at the airport? Wait a minute. I actually can't think of an independent trip. Neither one of us have flown independently in how long.

24:46It's been a while. I think what I went to go take, actually to go visit Annalise to go help her move in. That was the last time I can remember. I'll probably, separately from one another. Okay. But, okay, let's get back to this. What's happening again? The TSA, yes. They are going to, once again, allow if you're a non-ticketate passenger, you can go into the secure area of the airport. This is something that was common practice, no big deal, but it ended after the September 11th attack. So, Roads, we have a whole generation of people who have never had this experience. So, the way it's going to work though, it's not just a free for all of the airport. You have to be a TSA pre-check member already. It's understandable. You have to actually apply for this online one to three days ahead of time. Maybe makes sense as well. And then it's valid for that day. But Roads, they say it's valid for the day and you get in and out privileges. So it's good for a day. So you can go in, if you're not just the gate, but you want to go in and have a drink, have a meal. I understand. I think that's really cool. I think that's, I really think, yes, it's nice to say goodbye to your sweetie and be

25:48able to hang with them with the airport. But I really do think for parents, this is a big deal too. It really is. Now let me, let me rain on your parade. What? Roads, we're going to have all these extra people not flying, getting in a security line that mind you, don't necessarily flow that well. And so now we got extra bodies in line. Now I got extra bodies through security to contend with, what do they call them? Gate lights. So now, I don't just have to contend with other passengers. I'm trying to get to my spot. Now I got extras in somebody's grandma over here. I thought about this first of all is that Roads, the last thing we need is more people in a security line, isn't it? Yeah, thanks for raining on my parade. Womp, womp. But think. I will say back in the day when you could go all the way to the gate, we did not have the security that we have now. No, we went through smoke and cigarettes and it wasn't a big deal back then. It was a free for all. It was crazy at the airport compared to how it is now.

26:49But consider that, though, Roads, one to three days ahead of time. Maybe that won't make it such a, you have to make sure you do it. But that will keep it to a minimum and only on a as needed basis because yes, if you could just walk up to the, just the counter and be able to get a day pass, that you're right. That would be crazy. But the fact that people have to plan ahead and get it, that will keep it the numbers down. But think about as well, how many people listening? Did you even care to go through security? Like, by sweetie, I'm okay to leave you here. Yeah, because then you have to park the car, pay for parking. There are deterrence in place. It'll keep it down to a minimum. I'm pretty sure. All right. Our quote of the day today on this Wednesday, it's hump day. Yeah, would be not. Remember, new policy. I'm not going to rain on any more of your quotes. Okay. Well, I actually got this quote when I saw it. I thought, wow, TJ could have said this. This came right out of his mouth. I think you like it. It's short and sweet. Asking twice is begging.

27:51I like that. I like it because it's empowering. And I find myself having to actually, I should use this advice all the time. Yeah, you put yourself at a weakened position, at a massive disadvantage, ask once. You'll know your answer even if you don't get an answer. It's an answer. I love that. And you know, I do this a people old time. When I get the answer, I sometimes is a stupid answer. When I say stupid answer, when you repeat this, okay, sure thing. That's how you want to do it. That's fine. Right? You just, I do that. I use that as a tactic all the time when people do you wrong and it's clear that they have. And you just point it out by sure thing. Fine. I'll do that. That's the answer. I love that. Asking twice is begging. Just remember that. Keep your power, right? You have it. Love that. All right. What's that coming? On my internet. Okay.
